We are doing DDP again this year but are splitting our stay between resorts with DDP for the first part of our stay only. Last year (when we stayed in one WDW resort), we had a few CS and snack credits left over when we checked out, which we of course lost.

This year we are moving over to BCV for the second part of our stay - am I right in saying that the credits are still usable up to midnight the day we check out of our old resort and into the new?

I was thinking instead of wasting credits then it may be possible to go into Epcot, pick up pastries etc and even a couple of counter service meals and putting them in our fridge at BCV until next day - is this realistic - will they pack them up for us in the CS restaurants?

I found CS to go at the resort easy to do. Peco Bills was a nightmare so I don't know how easy it is in parks.

From a bakery it shouldn't be an issue though. Its just sandwiches and pastries.

On this same line, I wonder if it is possible to get table service meals to go (a la Outback)? We are going to Disney next week and some of our dinner ADRs are pretty late. If DS starts to get tired and cranky, that would be great to be able to take a meal back to our room.

You might want to pick up sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich in DTD and ask them to hold the mayo/mustard so the bread stays nicer longer.

If you have a car, I've found that the value / moderate resort locations offer some of the best counter service meals and they are prepared to pack them up.

I was staying at OKW but stopped at POFQ as we were leaving to use up our counter service credits. I got 4 half chicken dinners with mashed potatoes, corn and a corn muffin plus dessert and a drink. They came on a plastic plate and they put a snap on plastic lid on top.

I had brought two plastic bags with me - in one I stacked the chicken dinners and in the other I put the drinks and desserts.

We got a nice sandwich at Norway, I think they have them in France too. Just hold the mustard and we got packets on the side. Put them in our room fridge for lunch the next day by the pool.

We just asked for it to go, and they put the sandwich in a plastic box. I'm sure several locations have this option, just ask when you order.

We made a CS meal out of it, got bottled water for our drink, but had the dessert right away though! School Bread...Yummm!

I thought the credits expired at midnight of the day you checkout...so you shouldn't have to get them the night before unless you are actually leaving the WDW/resort in the morning.

That's what I thought - sorry don't think I was clear -we hope to buy the CS meals on the day we move to BCV - when we won't have DDP.

The meals from Norway and France, in particular sound a great idea (and maybe the Tangierine Cafe isnt so far away from International Gateway.
