Price of Deluxe Dining plan?

A friend of mine called to make ADR's today. She's never been to Disney and her Mum has planned a family reunion trip in May with the Deluxe Dining Plan.

The CM on the phone told her they lowered the price of the deluxe plan. I haven't seen this anywhere! The last I had heard (and what I told her) was that the plan was $72.00 per day per adult....this is a penny off but I rounded :)

Her Mum also swears she didn't pay that much for it.

Have they lowered the price of the Deluxe plan? Or is it possible she got some kind of deal because she booked for 9 people? Or is she just confused? Am I? Is the CM??

Can someone please confirm for me? I tried to call Disney but I worked late today and wasn't able to.

Sounds right. It's $32 more than the basic plan, which is, I think, $39.99? So $71.99 per adult.

I wonder if she's going during a 'free dining' time and is only being charged the difference between the two plans. (Free dining is the basic plan and you can upgrade to Deluxe for $32/night)

I haven't heard anything about any sweeping price decrease or sales (other than the upgrade, which isn't a discount, but seems like it is when the basic dining is free)

No, theres no free dining in May so thats not it.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hadn't heard anything about a price drop!
