$200 GC for disney vacation

Has anyone gotten/used the 200$ GC disney is advertising for staying some nights at the resort?

You get the GC at check in so it may be hard to use it to get nights

We got ours when we checked in last week. I used it at guest services to upgrade our tickets to hoppers... but, it's basically a gift card that you can use anywhere on Disney property... for instance, at the gift shops or restaurants... basically anywhere you can use your KTTW card or regular credit card to charge, you can also use the gift card. I don't, however, believe you can use it toward your hotel stay... but, it wouldn't hurt to ask if that's what you want to use it for.

no because you must pay your ddp before you arrive to the hotel and you will receive your gift card at your check in:thumbsup2

I always thought you call and add the DDP before arrival but had to pay for it at check in. Am I wrong and if so how do I pay for our dining plan if I don't want to use a credit card?

That's true for DVC stays, not the resort hotels.

You can pay for the dining plan (when sending final payment) via check if you don't have or want to use a CC.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you decided while you were there to extend your stay by a night or two you could potentially use the GC. After all this would not be the same reservation.
