What did you take a picture of today? :goodvibes

***********************************************

It is still early here so I will have to check back later. Yesterday I FINALLY started to get my album together with the pictures I took in January. I am using a 3-ring binder from We R Memories (bought with a 40% coupon from ACM) and sheet protectors with six 4x6 sleeves on a page. I end up with 12 openings to work with 7 pictures. Right now I am not sure how it will all work but each week may be different as some days I may want more than one photo. I am also trying to keep a journal of sorts so I can write down some of the things that happened during the week and not just a description of the pictures. So far so good! :)

OK, 1 month in, and I'm still doing it!! Today is put all the pics and journal cards in my book. So, I guess that will be my today pic, unless I get a better one later on...

I have no idea.. maybe the sn**.... it started @ 6:15am...and hasn't let up... I'd say at least 1.5" on the ground already... if there is less than that I'd be shocked...or maybe even DH in bed... he isn't feeling well.. :(

Wow, sorry Nan.
We have clear skies and sun. We are far enough north of the system that we won't see much. Those counties closer to the river have the problems today.

Not sure what the photo will be of today. :confused3

I've been doing so good. I get the first half done Wednesday evening and then Saturday the other half.

We have a Court of Honor tonight at Boy Scouts and I'm the refreshment committe. I've been baking all day! I'll either take a picture of DS during the Court of Honor or of the refreshments. Oh, I know, I'll take a picture of him at the refreshment table!!! He will glare at me for sure on that one!!:rotfl:

Oh, I know! That's why I put them off until last. I was hoping DH would forget about them when he went grocery shopping and I could just roll right past them like we'd done them all!!

More sn** here today. I am so stinking sick of this stuff!! But I'll live with it, because my picture of the day is my mostly packed suitcase! As long as there is no offending weather on Saturday so we can get out of here, it can do whatever it wants today!

I think this project will be more interesting in the summer. Today I have a photo of DS6 climbing up onto the countertop to get a glass from the cabinet.

I don't know -- most days I feel like my photos have no meaning or purpose.

I don't know -- most days I feel like my photos have no meaning or purpose.

I don't have little ones to supply a constant stream of photo-ops, so when I feel like my day is not eventful enough to have a picture to represent it, I take a photo of something that illustrates something about everyday life. Over the course of the year, I hope that the album really captures the little things as well as the stuff we "do." Sometimes that means photos of things instead of people. Would you take a photo of a kids' favorite toy, or your typical breakfast, or a DVD of a movie the kids watch over and over, or the backpacks in a pile when they come home, or whatever - you get the idea.

I took my pic of a full box of clementines yesterday.... and I'm not taking a pic today b/c both kids have separate events tomorrow, so I'm going to use a slot for each of those.

My life is completely and utterly boring. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Embrace your no purpose photos. :thumbsup2

With all these other "cold (evil) white stuff" photo's people are taking... I'm beginning to wonder if anyone else is here in Canada with me. It started snowing today at 6:00am and finally stopped around 7pm!!! Big soft white flakes falling ALL DAY LONG (with more on the way tomorrow :sad1: )

I finally gave in an took a picture of the tree outside covered in that 'cold wet stuff'. Even though I would be more than happy to live without it, the tree did look quite pretty.

Way too much cold and white around here this year. The snowbanks on either side of my driveway are ALL taller than me. I don't have anywhere left to put the stuff!

This whole week I'm taking pictures of Owen playing. I try not to have every picture be of Owen, but decided to embrace it this week and try to catch him at all different kinds of play.

Boring day to day stuff? You bet. Last week includes a picture of the inside of my almost empty fridge.

All of mine are "boring, normal". They're all pretty much of SIOLB, which to me, is fascinating, but they are of him eating or playing or laughing at DH. That's ok, though--I'm embracing my "boringness". . .is that a word?? :rotfl2:

I've only been doing this a few days, but I can see that some of my pictures are going to be of "odd" stuff since we lead a boring life!:thumbsup2 And, we don't get that white stuff outside so no snapping a pic of that either!!:) My picture yesterday was supposed to be of DS at the Boy Scout Court of Honor with the refreshments I made. Well, he came home from school sick and didn't go to scouts, so the picture I took was of a plate of pigs-in-a-blanket!!!

NO purpose photos... There is always a purpose..reminders of youth and a way to black mail our children when they start dating and older!!!! :)

I have felt the same way..and when the kids go through photos they point out the ones NEVER to be seen..guess what will be 8x10 and sitting around for graduation??? MEMORIES!!!
