My friend and I are going to disney in march and are thinking of using the QSDP...however, since it is just the two of us, we are still trying to decide if it will be worth it. When i calculated a typical day for us, including tax, it did seem to save us a little bit of money (and we need every penny because we are college students :rotfl: ). Plus, with the added cost of the resort mug...it also saves us some more...so I was just wondering, for those of you who have tried the plan, if it saved you very much? also, whether or not you liked it (was it convenient, flexible, etc.)? Has anyone tried it with only two adults??? :confused3
Thank you in advance! The DIS is always such a great source of info! :cool1:

We are trying it in March also. We are a family of 6 with 5 on the plan. I went with it this time as I cannot keep my 13 1/2 yr old son full. We have always split meals and dont get dessert at meals, but Im figuring we will come out to the good and give DS lots to eat. Also, it will be prepaid:thumbsup2 The mugs are a nice perk. Buying 5 would set us back about $65. (We normally dont buy everyone their own- just a couple to share, but it will be nice for everyone to have their own and make their own drink choices.) Im pretty excited about this plan as I dont think the CS/TS would work for our big, busy family.

My wife and I will be there this March too, and as a very recent college grad, I feel your pain with the money. My advice would be that if you can afford it, do it. You definitely won't go hungry. For me, it's such a bonus to have all of the food pre-paid and not have to be counting dollars and cents while I'm walking around the world. It makes the whole vacation a much more enjoyable experience. Plus, I'm able to try different snacks that I would never justify to myself if I were paying OOP.

One of my favorite counter service options of all time is the Sunshine Season in the Land at Epcot. TS style meals at QS counters... and fabulous desserts!

I am going solo this upcoming weekend 2/6-2/9 and will be trying the QSDP. I have went over the numbers several times and I found that it will save me a little bit of money. I normally drive to Orlando so I can go to the local store for snacks and water but since it's just me I will be flying in and I figure the souvenir mug will be worth it just for beverages.

I'm curious for feedback, too, as I'm doing the math to maybe add the QSDP. When I add up what I would normally eat, it comes out about even. I would buy a mug anyway, so it may be just a free mug. That would be worth it, though.
However, I'm not so crazy about all those CS desserts; prepackaged chocolate cake just doesn't excite me. I think I read somewhere we can exchange those for a bottle of water, and that would make it an even better value for me! :thumbsup2

We are a family of 5 and tried the QSDP and worked out pretty well, not much variety in the food. You can switch the dessert for a bottle of water which is not bad because a bottle of water is running around $2.50-3.50 each. The snacks sometimes are good enough to complete the third meal of the day. Good luck.

We are going the end of May and have purchased this plan also. I think it is going to be the best for us with a 4 and 9 year old. All DD(4) want's is PBJ and chicken, DD (8 soon to be 9) loves chicken and only chicken. After reading the resturants listed and their menues between the DIS and allears.net it looks like all the counter services places will work for us.:cheer2:
