We NEVER get them here (last snow in London this bad was 18 years ago) but both boys off school and DH doesn't think he'll be able to get to work this afternoon. Shame really I'm set up for home working, as there's no trains so I could have had a day off :headache:
Still, at least I'll get some good pics to use up my snowy swap pieces:thumbsup2 :lmao:
How much did you get? I would imagine the city will come to a stand still until they can arrange for the sn@w disposal. I still have a lot at my house with more coming tonight, I'll gladly send you more.::yes::

Wow, that's amazing Mazda! I'm sure my Mom will be calling and checking on my aunt who lives close to you to see how she's doing in all that. I'm sure it's quite chaotic while they get it cleared out. Enjoy taking your snowy pictures!

Gravesend has it quite bad, tell your mom. (No lines down or anything though).
We had about 5 inches when I woke up but it hasn't really stoppped and now, just after lunch, must be 8-10 inches. I'm not going out to check though - taking all my pics from the doors using the zoom :rotfl2:
ETA bbc.co.uk has lots of pictures under "local news" - got to "where I live" and select either Kent or London.

I called my Mom this morning to see if she'd heard about it and she had seen pictures on the news of London. I've got an aunt and uncle who live in Gravesend and then another aunt who lives in Dartford. My Mom was going to call and check on them, especially my aunt (Dartford) who lives alone, and make sure they were alright. She figured they'd all be home!:rotfl:
Have your boys been outside having snowball fights and building snowmen? Even though I don't like the cold, but I'd have to go play in the snow for just a bit!!! Stay warm!

First snowball fight was at 8.30 this morning! Then they built a snowman after lunch, but it got too cold for them to finish it (the wind got up and was blowing the snow about) so its got a bit of a small head:rotfl: But its there, and big as DS(9), and plenty more snow still on the ground so if it eases off they might go back out agian - once their coats and gloves dry off :rolleyes1

That is just soo exciting. To get the white stuff when you normally don't. Sorry if it causing inconviences though. :flower3:
Tell the boys to enjoy it. When it starts to melt, it'll be a mushy mess out there.

It snowed til about 8 pm then stopped, but froze hard overnight so with the sun this morning it looks lovely. I did go out for a minute - to put the rubbish out:lmao: and I did put my boots on for that, and to take a couple of pics from a different angle (as the boys carefully put the snowman where I couldn't get a good view).
Both schools closed again today, so I'm working from home again. DH's shift was cancelled yesterday, but he thinks it will be on today :headache: Hope it clears a bit by tomorrow, as we're supposed to be going to the Lion King in London for my DSis 40th. No more snow forecast for us - possible sleet Wednesday - but they're getting it in Yorkshire now.
