Golf Classic tickets

Last week we were at OKW and we asked about the WDW Golf Classic. The person at the front counter said that as members we get complimentary tickets to this. I've asked Member Services and I am waiting for a respoonse. Does anyone else know anything about this?

I do know that if you buy the yearly DVC golf badge, that entitles you to free admission to the golf classic. However, I thought it was only for the person who buys the golf badge. When I called about golf tee times, the CM made sure I understood that the free golf classic tickets were only for the person who bought the DVC golf badge, not for me. If it's changed, I'd love to know. DH and I would love to go to the golf classic in October.

I'm not sure whether DVC members get tickets free but in past years AP holders were allowed into the tournament.

The free admission applies only to DVC Members who purchase the annual DVC golf membership discount card at one of the pro shops ($85 plus tax). Also, it entitles you to only one admission (not family and friends).

PamOKW, you just got me hopeful for an excuse for another trip to WDW. DH is getting a DVC golf badge next month and I have an AP. If what you say turns out to be true about AP (just got it so I don't know all the perks), off we go in October!

I just returned and was told that the badges sold now do not include the tournament entry, only ones purchased last year. Fortunately, I purchased mine last Nov.

Where would I go to find out whether AP holders get free admission to the Golf Classic? In past years, has this included a guest?

It was not listed in this year's AP discount booklet. The passholder hotline is 407-560-7277, call to be sure.
