Did I really hear Bruce shout "I'm going to Disneyland!" at the end of his set? Woo! Go Bruce! :cool1:

That's funny, because I thought he said "Disney World!" I guess it's just what I'm used to hearing as an East Coast person. My ears are biased! :)

Yeah, he said DisneyLAND, but I think he *meant* to say Disney World, since the game is right down the street in Tampa.

Hmmm..I'm on the West Coast, so I heard DisneyLand! It does make sense that it would say DisneyWorld since they are in Tampa.
Well, I guess he'll have to go to both! Wonder if Bruce is a Disser?! :cool1:

I thought he said DisneyWorld. I only was half watching, I was packing lunches. I did DVR it though so I can watch it tomorrow after the crew leaves for school and work.

I am an eastcoaster who just got back from Disney World last month. I am sure he said Disneyland. I think that is where people went when the "I just won the Superbowl" campaign started.

I heard Disneyland also- thought it was strange- but that is the original wording when it was first on the Super Bowl-now if The Boss would do those Universal concerts, I be down in a New York minute. He still looks good.:drive:

Yes, it was Disneyland. Wonder how much they paid him. :)

He absolutely said Disneyland. Busch Gardens-Tampa must LOOOVE Bruce!
My vote is for Disneyland as well, but I listened to the already posted youtube video (http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=springsteen+super+bowl&hl=en&emb=0&aq=f#hl=en&emb=0&aq=f&q=bruce%20springsteen%20super%20bowl&src=4&st=day) (5:55 in)

I think he just made a mistake...probably meant to say World, but simply threw Land in there instead.
A lot of people, especially if they have never been to the resorts, or aren't big disney fans in general, don't really know the difference between the two anyway.

Definitely Disneyland. A slip of the tongue no doubt (sorry Nancy)! It's the generic term used by people who are not totally Disney knowledgeable (like we are). (and I thought it was funny that the next commercial we saw was one for Universal, they mustn't have liked that!) :happytv:

It was also ironic that right after his set a commercial for Universal came on. They must have been mad, paying that much for a superbowl ad and Disney gets a free plug from the Boss. :rotfl2:

"I'm going to Disney World!" and "I'm going to Disneyland!" are advertising slogans used in a series of television commercials by The Walt Disney Company that began airing in 1987. Typically the star records two versions of the commercial—one for each phrase—so that the ads can be broadcast in different American media markets to strategically promote either the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida or the Disneyland Resort in California.
In 1987, Phil Simms was paid a reported $75,000 for his participation.
Bruce Springsteen ended his Super Bowl XLIII halftime performance by saying "I'm going to Disneyland!" to the camera.

He said DisneyLAND. He was just seen at DisneyWORLD the week before superbowl in RPC at the GF.

He said Disneyland.
The game was on NBC. They own Universal. So NBC probably would not let him say Disney World. They would rather he said I'm going to Universal Studios!
