cannot book cruise until bcv opens

:( I am very frusterated because I spoke with member services today and I was told I cannot book my Feb. cruise until July 1st when bcv opens. I was origionally told that I could book the cruise at closing but today they said the policy came out in print< no exchanges until July 1st.

I have one cabin booked by cash for cat. 6 and the cat 6 cabins for the cruise are all sold out now. I dont know what will be left by july 1st.

I also could not get a 2 br lock off for bcv for the week of labor day weekend week, my first trip home.

Like many of you I have found a wonderful new hobby in trip planning but is seems like there are too many roadblocks. I hope this is just a case of new resort mishaps, Im starting to wonder if I would have been better off with a key west resale.

Try asking for a supervisor... Sometimes it's pretty fruitless, but you never know.

Also consider a post on the 'exchange' board asking for someone to book now, for a BCV point trade later. I would do it, but I'm not very point rich right now :D if you get my drift ;) . I'm sure someone can help.

Your guide may be able to help, especially since that's who likely told you it would be ok.

Did you try booking OKW for labor day and waitlisting for BCV? As more is sold more will be released into inventory. Sorry you were unsuccessful with your first ressie.

Thanks for the good advice. I did call my guide and he said that the cruise can be reserved on monday june 3rd.

Glad it got straightened out. I couldn't think of any reasonable reason or justification for the policy, actually.

Glad you got that answer. We just bought into BCV also. I was told I could make reservations earlier (I already have), but I couldn't use the points until after BCV opens in July.

Have fun on the cruise. DD and I want to go on one next year.
