:cool1: LOVED the service! We managed to pack it right to the top with absolutely no wiggle room in there at all! I even had to take a couple of things home that I intended to leave, but that's because I left some stuff for our May trip that will not be in there when we leave at that time. So someone please kick me for resisting this until now! Such a great idea!

We just used them for the 1st time in Jan. & ours is also filled to the brim! Luckily the last thing in was a pillow so it squished down, but I had to have both my DSs sit on it to seal it up! I loved the service.

After a number of trips in 2008, we won't be returning to WDW until December 2009. The funny thing - we're very much looking forward to cracking open our Owner's Locker once again! Even though we know exactly what's in it, it will still be a blast to take out all of our long-lost items!

Do any of you mind me asking- what do you leave behind in your locker? I did some research and am strongly considering opening an account, just want to get a full sense of what everyone uses it for. My DH is not 100% sure we would really need it. We have only been to Disney once and it was on that trip this past Nov that we bought DVC. Thanks!!

i agree, they are the best!!!! we keep everything from umbrellas, to sound machines, full size blow dryer and flat iron, a full size set of all of our toiletries (so we just have to update when needed), ponchos, a few toys, and now we leave our stroller (in a bag of course), but my 4 year old only uses it there and not having to gate check it when we have only carry ons is really a great thing! we also have things that are convenient, but otherwise we usually didn't bring like downy wrinkle release, febreeze, the spritz fan, corkscrews, full size scissors, garbage bags, full size suncreen, and all 6 of us have an extra sweatshirt or sweater that we wash right before we leave, and bag up......they always smell sooo good when we return. i could go on and on!!!!!! i sent a box down the first time we used it, and both our box and the locker were waiting at bell services when we checked in. the ease, convenience and the customer service are phenomenal!!!!

I have a wide variety of things.
1. REAL Hairdryer! (I hate those wall mounted things at most DVCs)
2. Jacket (waterproof)
3. Sweatshirt
4. 1 pair of shorts
5. Several t-shirts
6. Swim suit
7. Swimsuit coverup
8. Crocs. (I am not wearing these ugly things anyplace but to a Disney pool LOL!)
9. Full size hairspray, sunblock, hair gel, body lotions, etc.
10. The Disney "string backpack
11. Pins
12. Lanyard
13. Tea bags
14. Corkscrew
15. Extra socks
16. Bottle of wine. (Not always, but this time)
17. Denim Mickey jacket
18. MISC junke (matches, travel candle, ink pen etc.)
19. Laundry detergent
20. Winn Dixie Shoppers card
And so on... it's full.
Since I often "tag" a Disney trip onto my business trips this means in theory I could just show up and go. I do generally bring shorts and t-shirts, but...if Delta loses my luggage the show can go on!

Here's a thread from awhile ago, ironically started by the OP, where LOTS of people discuss OL and list what's in their's:

Diane,
Thanks SO much for your kind words. I'm pleased we've been able to make your vacations more convenient. Our big challenge is to get people to give Owner's Locker a try and see what a difference something as simple as a purple box can make when it's filled with things that make you feel more at home when you're in Orlando.
You're such a respected DIS Board member, we were really excited when you signed up and have big smiles on our faces knowing that we passed the test with you.
Interestingly, we also breathed a sigh of relief when CarolA gave us the thumbs up.
We try to keep a running list of things people tell us they keep in their Lockers. It's a work in progress and I'm very far behind but will give some ideas:

This is what I managed to cram in ours:
full size tub of wipes
toddler flushable wipes soft pack
hard case that is holding about 50-60 trading pins
pin lanyards for the kids
5 drink lanyards
18 pairs of underwear ;) (preschooler to adult)
15 pairs of socks
cooler
15loads of laundry soap
box of dryer sheets
4 water bottles, 1 with a carrying bag
1 large water container with carrying bag
packets to make up lemonade
full sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash/kid soap
6 toothbrushes
2 tubes of toothpaste
2 boxes of tampons
shower poof
q-tips
face wash
assorted other bathroom needs including contacts
2 full sized sun screens
multiple throw away razors
shaving cream
2 combs
1 hairbrush
15 toy cars
15 littlest pet shops
4 bags of crayons
6 ponchos
stack of blank paper for coloring
kid medicines
adult medicines
band aids
multiple chapsticks
assorted collection of pain relievers
10-12 filters for the brita water bottle
string backpack
cloth laundry bag
a few other things too but I'm blanking on the rest. It's fill to the point that we only have to bring t's and pants and the kids blankets.
I had to bring home the plastic dividers on the plane which earned me a weird look from TSA and thrilled my boys (they make great ramps for cars) and sit on it myself to make it close but it's all in there! :rotfl:

Well, at least you KEPT the plastic dividers! DH said they hampered him from packing the way his engineering self preferred, so we left them on the counter at OKW. He wanted to do the same with the little plastic box too, but I was able to fill it with all kinds of little things, and he aquiessed to put it in there! Our tuffest task was to get our pancake griddle in there. It turned out it was a bit too long with the handles. We did manage to lay it flat diagonally on top of everthing else though, and the lid went on just fine. I'm afraid when we break the seals in May though, things will come jumping out at us!

I do have a question, John. I thought we were to get extra deliveries with DIS membership, but the contract says only one free delivery per year?

the little plastic box will come home with us the next time. I'm thinking it takes up more space then the items inside needed and I could have fit the swim diapers in there too. (I could have used an engineer to arrange everything perfectly I think!)

We became DVC members and OL users in December. That trip was our last pre-DVC trip so we stuffed our OL full to the brim. I am really looking forward to our first trip home to see just how light we can pack(we put several changes of clothing in our OL).:earsboy:

We recently joined OL and used it for the first time last week. It was great! I love the service and I may need a 2nd one!LOL Ours is filled to the brim as well. DH was so on the fence about it but he became a believer!!:cool1: He loved it and said next time we will bring some stuff to decorate the outside of it!:thumbsup2 He was the one that suggested a 2nd one. I am going over to the site right now to look into that. I really fit a lot in but there is still so much I can leave there. I really want to travel with as little as possible.
John, I know you are here somewhere and I just want to thank you for such a great service!!

It's funny so many of us brought home the inserts I use them here at home for disney racers (ironic!), but couldn't cram it all in there with them staying. our full list is also posted on owner's locker, pop-up hampers and all!

If you are on the fence about getting one I believe they have a money back guarantee.
I am the biggest tightwad know to man ( I squeak when I walk) and I will tell you the money for Owners Locker is well spent in my book.
I went back and forth for almost a year on debating should I spend the money.
Could I ship the stuff home cheaper or whatever? Maybe or maybe not.
We have been able to cut back on luggage and keep a set of our favortie sheets and such, over the counter medicines, ponchos, electric cords, sunscreen, dvd's etc. Just stuff that comes in handy.
These guys really hit the mark on this. :thumbsup2
We LOVE our Owners Locker....just returned from our second time using the locker and it was incredible having all of our own things waiting for us.
I can't say enough about the incredible service this company provides. We get an email when our locker is dropped off and another when it is picked up.

We are planning a trip in June with just our family (flying) and we are trying to pack light. Next April, we will be driving down with my parents as well. In 2012, we are planning a large family gathering (about 15 people including at least one in diapers). I think it would be a good idea to get an OL, but when?
Option #1: Get it on this trip and send down a package with stuff for this trip and next April's trip. Then, we can pack light next year when we drive and bring along supplies for the 2012 trip.
Option #2: Wait until April to get it since we will have a car and can go offsite to stock it up. Also, mom and dad will be with us so they can help decide what goes in it for the 2012 trip.
----> Question? What do you pay if you "skip a year"? We won't be there between 2010 and 2012 so what will 2011 cost me?
After 2012, we are not planning annual trips. Most likely, we will do 1 trip in June and then another the following April and then take a year off. Would an OL be cost-effective since we'd be skipping a year? I'm not sure if we are a good candidate for an OL since we will not be going every year. I really have to save every penny for our trips so I need to make sure that this would be a good use of our very tight vacation funds. FWIW, for our future trips, we are not planning on flying. We have a full-size SUV so the benefit of "packing light" is not really applicable. On the occasion that we stumble upon ultra-low airfare, then we'll pack light, but mostly we will be able to pack whatever we want.

We just received delivery of our OL on our recent trip. I was excited about the service, but now that I have been able to use it, I am such a fan! We bought those wonderful soft robes at SSR and decided to leave them there. It was just a tad too much to fit into one locker. Unfortunately, we did not realize this until we were packing up to leave in the morning. I called Brian and he was sooooooo kind and helpful! He actually went back to the warehouse, built a new locker for us, and brought it to the resort for us in plenty of time to leave. We were so grateful! He really went to a lot of trouble for us at the last minute, but assured us over and over that he was happy to help. My DH said "I really like that guy" when he met him. :) Now DH things I am brilliant for finding out about OL!
Geez, what a nice thread!!
Diane, you do get TWO free Visits per year for three years under the DIS special offer. Since this is an exclusive offer for the DIS, our documents still talk about one free Visit. The e-mail we send out to people who sign up under the DIS exclusive in effect rules.
Desnik, thanks for the very kind words. I'm around but spent a lot of time yesterday over on the Owner's Locker Facebook page putting up photos of some of the super cast members we work with:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=740590350&ref=name
disneybride96, I love that video!! There are more videos of people and their Lockers at:
www.youtube.com/ownerslocker
rkweir, Brian's not a big forum person but I'll make sure he reads you wonderful comments.
And I've got to say that Brian and I are always a bit puzzled by the compliments about personal service. We just treat people the way we would like to be treated.

Well, your customer service shows! BTW, as you may recall, DH was the one who was skeptical about OL in the first place. He LOVES it!!! He is more than a convert at this point, and I'm hoping to convince him to do a second locker soon! I could have half filled a second one this trip anyway. I'd love to keep clothes down there too.
