We will need it for homework when we are there. I assume you can hook up with your laptop in your room?

Yes, I hooked up my laptop in my room everyday. Although, sometimes it was a pain. I had to re-hook up every morning. I often had to go through the administrator to get a connection. Not the best for sure and sometimes I got very rude techs on the phone which was surprising considering it was Disney.

In the end though, everything worked out. I absolutely need my laptop and internet connection even while on vacation.

Before paying for service. See if anyone has an open WiFi connection.
Stayed at Beach Club one year and was able to surf for free.

I thought the fee was 9.95 per 24 hour period.

Since we now are DVC members the internet is included when staying with our points. I always bring my own ethernet cable and Apple Airport Express (http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/), works with PC & Mac,to set up a wireless network in the room. This way I can also download info to my iPhone in addition to our MacBook.

That is reasonable. We paid $15 per hour at an AI in Jamaica. Needless to say I only used 58 minutes the whole week as that is not reasonable! Not being cheap, it is about value isn't it?
