We tried it for the first time this month. We had it for 8 nights at Boardwalk Villas. We loved it. It was me, DH, 4yo DD, 6yo DS and my 57yo mother.
I know a lot of folks think it is too pricey, too much food, too much time eating, but honestly we didn't any issues with the above. We do go to WDW 1-3 times a year so we are ok with taking it slow and having sit down meals during the day.
We typically did a TS breakfast and TS dinner and then CS lunch. We did a few signature dining as well. We used all our credits- no problem.
I don't think it saved us a ton of money (or any money) but we prefer the pre-paid feature (maybe why we are DVC members, too;) ). The only downside is tips can get pricey.
We plan to use it again for a week trip in June.
Any other deluxe fans.

We loved it too. There was only 1 day when I felt like I didn't want anymore food.
Also--we NEVER felt like we were missing out on the parks b/c we were in a restaurant! We actually really liked the breaks, and plus, we were never in a restaurant for more than an hour.
I would do it again, for sure!

We always get a Deluxe Plan or something similar (we've had the Silver Plan, Premium Plan, etc.). Now that I've lost a lot of weight, it's hard for me to eat that much food. However, the convenience of it alone makes it worth it. I'll just eat half of everything from here on. :)

We love it too. I don't see us going again and NOT doing it. I love having everything paid for... I love having ADR to look forward to... I love letting everyone get just what they want and not think about it.
I don't fel like it is ever too much food because I just eat until I am full and then stop eating. TS are great for us with little kids b/c it is a great break and it breaks our day for heading back to the hotel and getting a nap. :)
We haven't even used it yet and I think I love it! I have 6 character breakfasts, 3 signature restaurants for dinner, 1 regular TS for dinner & a dinner show booked. Just those meals alone cost more than what I paid for DxDP!!! We like to take it slow on vacation and enjoy being able to relax at a TS dinner at the end of the day.

i loved it... dh not so much... i also chose meals based on what i felt like and went w/a salad as my appy quite a few times and requested fruit as my dessert... dh went for a lot of the heavier, greasier foods, had decadent desserts, etc... and he felt it!
we have a shorter trip, more theme-park-focused next month and will be doing the basic ddp... he's glad ;)

We'll be at WDW a month from today and were recently given a free upgrade from the DDP to the Deluxe! I've calculated that we can use all our credits by skipping two breakfasts in favor of an early lunch, and using 2 credits each at the Coral Reef and a room service breakfast. I'm still wondering how we'll eat three meals most days (even though some of 'em will be counter service), but figuring I only paid for the regular plan anyway, we're bound to come out ahead. I don't think I would actually purchase the deluxe plan though - I'd feel guilty if we didn't take advantage of table service every meal, and there's no way anyone could have the time or appetite for that!
Thanks everyone - this is the best Disney board on earth!

We love the DxDP and think it's a good value for us. Last trip it was we 2 adults and 2 teens, 14 and 15. We did all TS meals, 3 a day. We did a bunch of character buffets for breakfast and a few for supper. We are big eaters, and yes it was still some days a lot of food but we really liked sitting down, cooling off and catching up since some days the kids went one way and we went another. There were only a few days where the ADRs cut into what we wanted to do. After number crunching when we got home--thankfully my better half saved all the receipts and had recorded all the tips, etc.--we found that most days, the meal plan had paid for itself with 1 1/2 or 2 meals. We used snack credits to bring stuff home.
On our next trip, we will be childless (small yippee!). We are doing all but one sit down breakfast as that's what we like, and only a couple of sit down lunches, using more snack credits rather than TS lunches. Then we are going to use some of the lunch credits to do signature dining that we wouldn't do so much with the kids (I think Citricos, FF, & Yachtsman).
I like that there is plenty of flexibility, and that you can do either counter or table--whatever works for your particular family that particular day. And I love that it is pre-paid (except tipping) so I don't have to worry about budgeting food.

I haven't used mine yet but when I added up everything in preparation it wasn't much difference at all and I hadn't included snacks yet only the character meals and others.

I have chosen this Deluxe Plan for a splurge...I am a solo traveller and, although probably excessive because I won't do 3 TS meals a day, I can use it towards signature meals and dinner shows (which are 2 credits), plus I can have it paid before I go and not really spend much money when I am there.
It also keeps me away from eating crappy CS food (which can be more unhealthy (in my opinion, because I would chose burgers and fries etc)....this way I get to eat great food and not really have to think about the price....
Also, I am having loads of fun planning what restaurants I want to go to and drooling over dining plans and photos!
