Just wondering - I know it's supposed to be windy (29 mph) but sunny.
Thanks!

We are waiting to see if we can dock at Castaway. Doesn't look good! Our room is on Deck 2 and we have seen a few big waves hit our window! :scared:

I have no idea about today (1/31), but we had no problem docking on Tuesday (1/27). We read in the Passporter that January was the most likely month that you would be unable to dock, but the castmembers/crew we spoke with said that was very rare.

I'm waiting to hear too. My niece is on her first cruise right now. She's very prone to motion sickness. How rocky has it been?

Not sure - I know the forecast is for sunny and 61º today but 29 mph winds. That's pretty wavy!

We did not dock at CC yesterday. The captain tried twice. Winds were 35 knots just about perpendicular to the channel at CC. He said the ship had the thruster power to dock in 30 knot winds max.
I knew something was up when I heard the thrusters/felt ship shaking in my deck 7 stateroom. I have never heard/felt them in 6 or so previous dockings. The Captain must have had them at full power giving it his best effort.

I'm so sorry. :sad1: Did DCL do anything to compensate for not being able to go to CC?

We didn't go. We had a day at sea. Then the last day we had a gift on our door of T-shirts for the whole family. It was a nice gift... but I would have rather gone to Castaway Cay!
Did everyone else get the gift too?? I didn't see the gift bag on everyone's door... just ours.
