Is anyone else freaked out by these new look boards?

The last one reminds me a lot of Radiohead's bear logo though,

I though I was just seeing things or my computer was screwed up again! I started yelling at it and tried to fix the color but gave up. And now that I know it's not just me...I FEEL STUPID!!!

Yea I thought it was just me but I don't notice any difference with the smilies either. What are we missing? They look pretty much the same.
