does anyhone know if we check in online can we use the dining plan starting our 1st day at the resort? even if our room isn't ready can we start using the meals on the plan??

Yes, you can begin using the DDP even if your room is not yet ready. If you check in online, you would still need to go to the front desk of your resort in order to pick up your room/park keys. The keys would be encoded with your DDP, so you could begin using it right away. Later on that day, you could just return to your resort and go right to your room. At check-in, they would have told you which number it is.
