Just switched both rooms I had booked at AKL (8/25-8/31) over to the new Fall Fantasy with DC discount code. Yes, it did save me $50. per package as DC is stating (code also on Mary's site). It brought my standard room down to 139. (tax incl)(booked for 3 nights) and savannah room to 180. (tax incl)(for 6 nights). (I already deducted the cost of UPHs so I could compare the room rate to room-only deals- I also book without the breakfast option or the insurance). I'm also happy that this puts both rooms on the same 5 day cancellation policy without penalty (1 had been on 45 day, which I don't like). This is the best price I've seen so far - let me know if anyone finds room-only rates lower than this - I've read that sometimes the standard rooms have been offered at 129. - I'll keep checking - every little bit helps (especially when the big kids start needing their own room)!

The Fall Fantasy includes tickets, right? I know you said you subtracted the cost of the passes, but I wasn't sure if your old rate or new rate (or neither?) included the passes.
Thanks for the info!

Yes this package includes UPH tickets and is priced per person. Its kinda voodoo economics to come out with a per night room charge because it all depends on how many people are staying in a room. 2 adults in a room makes the per night room charge cheaper then it it were 4 adults in the same room.
Good work bjakmom.

bjakmom,
I want to "Thank You" for posting your message above, if you were here I would hug you!!
I wasn't aware of the recent code (even though I look at Mary's site daily) for the Fall Fantasy Package and DC discount of $50 a room. I got home from work around 1:30 pm and some time later got on my PC and came upon your post. I already had reservations at the YC with the Fall Fantasy package for August, 2 connecting rooms (we have two teenage sons). I was able to save $100 more on our total package!! We are now paying $181 per night, per room, including tax, at the Yacht Club. Thanks again, can you tell I'm excited? :D

I'm glad you got the savings, too, RobinLyn - It was definitely worth $100 since I had 2 packages, too! Hadn't thought about the 'how many people in the room' point, BoyLovesBuzz - for my comparison I deduct how much it would cost me to buy tickets and then divide the remainder by the # of nights because I usually find that booking room-only and buying the tickets is cheaper - but for right now this package gives me the cheapest room rate. I have 2 adults in each room (well, DS is 13 - most days I wish he WERE an adult!) - but he's one according to WDW prices. The $50 savings has to also be spread across the # of nights you book- so for my older kid's room for only 3 nights the room savings was more than for our room for 6 nights. I'm a little(!) fanatical about saving $ when it comes to vacation, so I have my calculator at hand while I'm on the phone with CRO! - I just hate paying more than the person in the next room or in the seat next to me on an airplane!

Awesome!! It sounds as if the FFP is made for you. The way I look at it, its a good deal if there are only 2 people per room, and the UPH is a good ticket for you. It sounds as if with your kids it would be. ( I've never met a teenager that couldn't spend months in DQ). If your "Disney Adults" did not have there own rooms, you would end up getting killed I bet.
Have a great trip.
