I'm thinking of trying either the Courtyard or Spring Hill Suites at Marriott Village on Lake Bryan because I have 2 free nights. This would be in addition to 8 nights on property (POR & WL). Has anyone stayed there? Is it nice? What's the complimentary transportation to WDW like? Thanks for your opinions & help, Tracey:)

I'd go with the Courtyard if possible. It is the only one with an indoor pool (and you never know about the weather). The food court leaves a lot to be desired but within walking distance is Golden Corral, Lone Star, Bahama Breeze, etc. Didn't try the bus service so no comments on it.

We stayed at the Courtyard and loved it. The rooms are large and it is very convenient to DD, the outlet mall and other shops and restaurantes. The indoor/outdoor pool was great and I believe if you stay at any of the hotels in the complex you can use the Courtyard pool.

The Fairfield and Springhill I believe offer free breakfast, however only the guests of those hotels get the free breakfast.

The foodcourt was Okay in a pinch - we ate at the many restaurants around the hotel or in the parks. Didn't use the bus service.

Last October, I stayed at the Springhill Suites and enjoyed it. We will be there again in August for the first four nights of our vacation--staying free this time using Marriott Rewards points.

You will be fine with either choice.

As for transportation, I had a rental car and did not use the bus transportation, but it seemed to run pretty frequently.

When we stayed in Jan 2002 you could not use the Courtyard indoor pool unless you were staying at the Courtyard. I was fairly disappointed since I had read that you could but when we got there they were checking ids and turning away non-Courtyard guests. This was a holiday weekend so maybe that had something to do with it.
