So I have been lurking around these boards for awhile now and I am excited to announce that I will officially be a Disney bride on September 19, 2009! Our ceremony will take place at 5:00PM at Sea Breeze Point with the reception to follow at Ariel's.

A Little Background

My DF and I met two and a half years ago while I was an intern as his place of employment. We began to hang out as friends (As I was seeing someone else at the time). As we hung out more we realized how much we had in common; our parents grew up in the same area of upstate NY, our dads went to the same University, etc! I soon broke it off with the guy I was seeing and not two months later we were dating! I can honestly say it was a whirlwind romance!

We have been dating for two years and we still work at the same place where we met (I was hired after my internship). Fortunately, working in the hospitality industry keeps us so busy that we barely even see/interact at work so we get along amazingly and we could not be more excited for our Disney Wedding!!!

Here are some pictures of us from past Disney World & Disneyland Trips:

As a child, we went to Disney World numerous times on family vacations. My DF, Kevin had only went once when he was a young teenager and really didn't get the full "Disney Experience". In September of '07, Kevin and I went out to southern California to visit my dad who lives out there. My dad had some connections so we were able to spend a day at Disneyland and even go to lunch at Club 33! Kevin loved it so I knew in the near future I would definitely be planning a trip to Disney World!

Once we got back to Charlotte, I started looking up slow times at Disney World and we booked a 5-night, 6-day vacation in September '08! We had such an amazing time together! It was just after Kevin's birthday so I treated him to a couples massage at the Grand Floridian Spa. It was then that we saw the Wedding Pavilion and got the idea of having a Disney Wedding when the time came!

Fast Forward to December of this past year and we were back in California visiting my dad for the holidays. Of course we wouldnt be that close to Disneyland and not go! We had originally planned to go on the 10th but decided we were too tired so we waited to go on the 11th. At the time, I thought nothing of it but a lot of my close friends and family called me on the 10th just to see "how my trip was going?" Hm, weird. Anyway, we went to Disney and had the time of our lives, it looked so beautiful decorated for christmas! Plus, the lines weren't bad at all and we got to do all our favorite rides several times!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/CaliEngagement087.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/CaliEngagement082.jpg

We decided to sit for a minute at the Corner Cafe and get a sweet snack. We found a pretty secluded table and listened to this guy play the piano. That was when Kevin said, "Oh, I have something for you!" So nonchalantly! He proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him! I couldn't believe it at first and he even had to ask me if I wanted to put the ring on after I said yes because I completely forgot to even look at it! Needless to say, it was one of the most amazing nights of my life and I could not be more in love!

thanks, but I am not 1/2 as organized as some of the girls on here! My problem is that I am selectivly organized, I only organize what I want to, instead of what actually needs to be done lol!
I love seeing all the pics of disneyland, I have never been there (but really really really want to) so it's so nice to see it and hear about from other brides prospective :)

So I knew I wanted to send something out to my bridesmaids/maid of honor asking them to be in my wedding party. My mom is extremely creative so her and I started coming up with some ideas. One night we were randomly searching the web and I found the perfect invite!!! Now you should know that I can be a complete goofball and love to make people laugh! All of my friends are the same way so I knew they would totally get a kick out of this! So without further ado, the invite:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/BMdressLibbyNew.jpg

I found the picture online and cut and pasted my bridesmaid's faces in. The inside read, "Will you be my bridesmaid (or MOH), I promise not to make you wear an ugly dress!" So typical of me! It was a huge hit!

Anyway, my best friend and MOH came up this weekend to get some shopping done. We went to David's Bridal and wow it was so busy there! She tried on a bunch of different things but it looks like the best one we saw was a sweetheart cut, tea length dress. My colors are sky blue, chocolate brown, and we will be doing some accents of this gorgeous coral pink color! I liked the dress but wasn't sold on it. She is coming up again Valentine's day weekend and we are going to this HUGE bridal mart here in NC so I know we will find a winner there! Ah I am getting so excited!

So sorry I haven't been more consisent with my journal, work has been busy and I always work long hours so I never seem to get the chance to update! Anyway, this weekend my best friend and MOH came down to go dress shopping! My mom, MOH, and I headed out fairly early on Valentine's day and drove the hour and a half to this massive bridal store I had heard so much about here in NC. The store has over 3,000 bridal gowns and another 3,000 bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses! So needless to say the place is massive!

Now I hadn't tried on any dresses at all so when I walked in the place I was completely OVERWHELMED!!! I almost thought I was going to be sick haha! Anyway the place was fairly quiet for a weekend and the people that worked there were great! We got right to work and I only had tried on about 15 dresses when I found THE ONE. As soon as I put it on, I didn't want to take it off! It is a very simple (just my style) A-line Casablanca gown. It has a little bit of sparkle here and there and I love it! Here are some pictures!

This picture has the dress in two different colors, mine will be all ivory like the last two pictures.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/dressdetail.jpg

The back has those tiny little buttons that go all the way down the dress! I am even more excited to get married now that I found the dress! I totally understand the whole emotion when you find the perfect one that everyone talks about!

Yay! I am so excited! :) The Casblanca dress was just so light and easy to wear! I will definitely be happy with the choice when it is hot and sticky in September!

So I originally wanted something different and simple when it came to my flowers but the more I have searched the more I have fallen in love with rose and stephanotis bouquets. I love when the bouquet is filled with roses then just has a few stephanotis perfectly placed within them. I really like the roses in different shades of pinks with white stephanotis. Here are a few pictures I have found that I loved.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/flowersstephanotis.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/flowersmore.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/bouquets.jpg

The bouquet all the way on the right in the last picture is my favorite! My only concern is will these colors look good with my light blue and brown theme? The only picture I found that had my colors and bright pink flowers was this one of daisies.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/weddingcolors.jpg

Any thoughts? Do the colors mix? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

First off - those invites are hilarious!! I found this site a while back (some of the advertisements are a bit off, but the pictures are too funny!) http://uglydress.com/index.html :rotfl:

Now about those roses. I think they'll definitely go. You can pull your blue or chocolate in through the ribbon. You could always use pink as an accent color elsewhere in your wedding if you wanted to. Just my two cents! :goodvibes

BTW - Welcome to the boards and good luck with your plans!! :welcome:

So I've decided that I am definitely going to wear my hair up for my wedding as it is going to be HOT! I have been looking online for pictures of updo's that DO NOT resemble prom hair as I am trying to avoid that completely. I don't want my hair slicked back on my head or pinned so tight my head hurts. I have also become fond of the idea of putting flowers in my hair as my dress is fairly simple and it will not take away from it. I am thinking stephanotis or an orchid but not sure. The flower will most likely be white. Here are some photos that I have found that I like...

Check out Heidi's hair (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1908092&page=7)(Tiggerrifficheidi) for her wedding, I loved it (so I am guessing you will too lol)

Hey everyone, sorry I have been such a horrible updater on this thing! So much has happened since I have last written! We just got back from Disney on Tuesday for out planning session and a little mini-trip. We have made most of the arrangements for the wedding and reception just trying to figure out what to do for a rehearsal. Any suggestions? My future MIL would like to invite all of our guests so she was thinking more of a cocktail type party but that got me thinking about a dessert party. So any info would be helpful! I will update next week sometime with pictures and a full TR from our planning session! Thanks for sticking with me!

So on Thursday, March 26th, DF, my mom and I headed down to Jacksonville. We all had to work that morning and decided we would drive most of the way that night and continue on to Orlando early the next morning and meet FMIL at the airport! I drove most of the way as I was WIDE awake for some strange reason. It was an easy drive and we were in Orlando by 11AM on Friday! We had reservations at the Sheraton Vistana Villages as DF and I both work for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and got a great deal on a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa! We headed to the resort just to check it out and were pleasantly surprised that our villa was ready!!! The place was huge and gorgeous! It was so clean and a 5 minute drive to Disney. I usually stay on Disney property but I would highly recommend the Sheraton Vistana Village if deciding to stay off property. Anyway, here are some pics...

Our Bedroom:

Mom's Bedroom (FMIL too):

Living Room/Dining Room (and DF taking a pic!):

Balcony/View:

Randoms:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip055.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip057.jpg

So after getting settled FMIL gave me a small gift and it was a "Bride Surivival Kit" that she had made, it included a beautiful handkercheif that was once her mothers. It was so completely thoughtful, I loved it. After that we headed for some lunch at Firehouse Subs then went tux shopping!!! We headed to MW Tux but we had a specific tan color in mind as my bridesmaids are wearing chocolate brown and I will be in ivory. Unfortunately, they did not carry anything at all in that color so off to Carolyn Allen's we went!

Wow, do I love that place! Keith and his wife and family are all amazing! They were so welcoming and helpful! Keith told a bunch of stories and had us all laughing the whole time. They had exactly what we wanted and the process was so easy! They will also be coming the morning of the wedding to steam my and all the girls dresses! Here is what we picked for the guys:

This exact suit:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/Tux.jpg

This tie but in chocolate brown and ivory:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/Ties.jpg

DF will be the only one wearing the vest, the rest of the guys will just have an ivory shirt and tie with the suit! After Carolyn Allen's we went grocery shopping and had dinner then crashed so we could be up early for our day in the parks!!! :)

I love the color suit you picked out. :) And I'm impartial to orchids in hair for weddings but that's just b/c I love them so much! I'm sure whatever you pick will be beautiful!

So we got up bright and early on Saturday morning, had some breakfast, and decided to start at Animal Kingdom. The weather was overcast but it turned out to be a beautiful day in the 80's! Our first stop, take Mom on her first ever spin on Expedition Everest! Of course she loved it!!! FMIL would have loved to gone on but she had knee surgery and rollercoasters are a no go unfortunately. Mom loved Everest!!!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip060.jpg

The park was fairly crowded and DF was none too happy about it. I guess that's what you get for going in September and being spoiled by nearly non-existent wait times! (Can't wait!!!) Anyway, we got some fast passes for Everest then we then headed over to Dinosaur, which FMIL went on too! Then we took them to see Finding Nemo: The Musical. DF and I loveeee this show and they did too! The music and colors are amazing!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip069.jpg

After Nemo, we hopped on Everest again then went over to Kilimanjaro Safari. FMIL hadn't been to Disney in 25 years (!!!) so everything was new to her and we knew she would love this as she loves anything having to with animals! Boy were we right, but come on, who doesn't love that ride! We then decided to head over to Hollywood Studios to catch some rides over there...

That's fun that everything was new to your FMIL!! I often wonder what that would be like for DF and me since we're there A LOT!!

I just got my initial BEO and the Calypso band is $1565, we'll see if we still want it after we get the floral budget too haha!

And it's always fun to bring anyone to the World, but new people is even more!

P.S. just read up on your TR. one word. JEALOUS!

So we get into Hollywood Studios just as the parade is heating up! So I know everyone here knows how crazy it can be to push through the crowds to get to the good rides! Rockin' Rollercoaster was a forever and a day wait and the fast passes were for like for hours later so we decided to skip it as FMIL couldn't ride it anyway. We headed over to the Great Movie Ride, which was one of my grandmother (Nonna's) favorites! I remember being deathly afraid of the whole 3 seconds you ride through the the Alien movie but her always telling me that the Wizard of Oz was approaching quickly! For some reason everytime I ride that ride I feel like it was cheesier than the last! But it is a must do for me just for the memories!

After that we decided to cool off and go see the new American Idol Experience. Now I must admit I am not a fan of AI, I have probably watched a whole 5 minutes of it in the last 5 years but I was willing to give it a try. Wow, I loved it! The 3 people we had were AMAZING and the show was genuinely funny! Now, it is different everytime you see it but the truly do find some talented people to preform!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip072.jpg

After AI, we headed over to Epcot to check out the flower and garden stuff and to ride Soarin'. It was a 40 minute wait but we went for it. Neither my mom or Kevin's mom had gone on it before and they both loved it....until the ride wouldn't come down!!! Ha, we were up in the air and the speaker says something like "Thank you for riding Soarin' you may now unbuckle your seats and head to the nearest exit". Ummmm wow, people started freaking out becaue they thought the belts were gonna unbuckle as we were in the air but of course that didn't happen. We hung up there for a few minutes and then we came down....but then our seat belts wouldn't unbuckle! So we were stuck there a few more! It was definitely a memorable Soarin' experience!

After that we wandered around and took some shots of the beautiful flowers and topiaries!

After Epcot, we headed to the final destination of our one day Disney World tour, Magic Kingdom! As all of us were exhausted, we didn't stay too too long. We first went to Columbia Harbour House for some chicken nuggets and clam chowder, yum! Then off we went to ride the classics: Jungle Cruise, Pirates, and the Haunted Mansion! There was practically no wait at all for any of these rides! Then after that we treated our parents to the infamous DOLE WHIP! Of course it was loved by all!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip078.jpg

We hung around and watched SpectroMagic as I and my mom probably hadn't see the parade in almost 10 years! It brought back so many memories but wow has it evolved over the years! It's so funny to me that no matter how old you are, whenever you experience something you once did there as a child all the emotions just come rushing back! I just stood there in awe of the parade thinking about how excited my three year old niece is going to be the first time she experiences all this Disney magic in September!

So on Sunday the weather was overcast and we had some rain in the morning. Our Mom's decided to relax and do some reading on the patio so Kev and I headed over to DHS to hop on Rockin' Rollercoaster and Tower of Tower because we didn't get to do so the day before. I didn't bring my camera so I have no pictures! Regardless, the rides were fun as always and TOT surprised the both of us by going up and down like 5 times! The rest of Sunday was spent relaxing by the pool and discussing the wedding for our planning session the next day!

On Monday, we were up bright and early to head over to Franck's to meet Celeste & Rose! I was so excited to finally meet my planner and discuss our special day, Kevin was excited about cake!!! Haha. Celeste was awesome and very upbeat and funny! She completely made me feel at ease about the whole process! Here are some pics of the day!

The ceremony is at 5PM at Sea Breeze Point then the cocktail and reception will follow until 11pm at Ariel's. Right now we decided to have the calypso trio for the ceremony and pre-reception then a DJ for the actual reception. At Ariel's you can only have a buffet so we kind of created our own menu. For the pre-reception we decided on a fruit and cheese display as well as a vegetable and dip display. For dinner, we will have shrimp cocktail, a salad station, parmesan crusted chicken, horseradish-crusted beef strip loin, basil mashed potatoes, and olive oil grilled veggies. Finally for dessert we will have cake!!! The bottom layer is almond cake with amaretto, the middle layer is chocolate cake with raspberry, and the top layer is almond with buttercream! Here is what it looks like:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/cake1.jpg

I went to a hospitality/culinary university therefore I wanted the cake's frosting to be buttercream only. Fondant can make a cake look beautiful but it does no justice to the taste of the cake. Plus, in my opinion, once the cake is cut and served the pieces look somewhat sloppy. I didn't see the point in spending the money on fondant if I wanted something simple anway. Fortunately, Disney is able to make our cake look just like the one above! Our cake will have fresh floral on it too.

Thank you! It's good to know I'm not the only sap who gets emotional on Disney trips!!! We listened to the Calypso band too when we were there! We're hoping they fit into the budget but if not they also have a Key West guitarist who is supposed to be amazing!!! Gotta love options! :)

Ok so much to update! I wish we had known before we totally could've met up! I love that you are going to keep the calypso band, great addition. I may be looking into that as well!

Looks like you had a fun whirlwind trip, I bet your PS was awesome and you are probably so excited for your wedding now! It is so soon!

The cake you chose is amazing, I didn't know you could make buttercream that much like fondant. I think that may be a great cost saving way to go for lots of brides on here, plus who doesn't like the taste of buttercream frosting yum!

I know! I would have LOVED to meet up Sam! We were planning on going in late April but work got in the way so we quick switched it up! After the PS all DF and I talk about seems to be wedding wedding wedding! But it's so exciting! Thanks for the compliments on the cake, I love it and the buttercream is delicious! Plus the fact that it is cheaper makes it that much sweeter! The calypso band is amazing, Disney also has a Key West guitarist who is more cost efficient and supposed to be really good so we may use him, not sure yet!

So after getting set with all the food and beverage with Celeste, Rose came to discuss our floral options! I have to admit, she sure knows her stuff! She was amazing to work with and she clearly loves what she does! I told her that we were going for a simple yet beautiful theme.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/FloridaTrip097.jpg

We decided on different shades of pink roses with ivory stephanotis for myself. Then the girls will have ivory and light pink colored roses in their bouquets. She was able to match the ribbon that will be wrapped around 75% of the stems perfectly with the girls dress and sash colors! The center of my stephanotis will have small clear crystals in them with one hidden mickey of course! My two neices will be using pink and ivory rose petals for when they walk. The bouquets will look a lot like these with mine being on the far right...

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/bouquets.jpg

Kevin will have three small ivory stephanotis and Italian ruscus as his boutonniere with a hidden mickey. The rest of the guys will have a medium pink rose with Italian ruscus. Here is what DF's will look like...

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/boutenierre.jpg

For the centerpieces we chose three clear cylinder vases in different sizes. Rose will fill them with water then float pink and ivory rose petals within them, then there will be a small ivory floating candle on top. I loved the simplicity of this and wanted to keep my centerpieces low so people would be able to see and talk across the table. Rose's team will also sprinkle rose petals on the table around the centerpieces and also on the cake table as well. We are going to have ivory linens and chair covers and then the chairs will have chocolate-colored organza bows tied arrowed them. The ivory colored napkins will also have a small brown bow tied around them as well. Here is a picture of what our centerpieces will kind of look like...

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/CylinderCenterpieces.jpg

For Sea Breeze Point, we will have chocolate brown and light blue satin ribbon swagged on the railings of the stairs, then there will be clusters of pink roses tied to them. I don't have a picture of this but Rose did and it was just enough color to add to SBP as the site is beautiful just the way it is! Our sand ceremony table will be covered in a brown satin table cloth as well.

Then we decided to go over to the Pop Century and Caribbean Beach Resorts to take pictures for our guests since those are the chosen resorts in our room block.

After all the wedding planning, we decided to go back to the resort and relax for a bit. Then we decided to go outlet shopping! I had been so good saving my money for the wedding I told myself I was allowed to spend a little hard earned cash...then I went and bought a new Coach purse!!! Haha so much for spending a little...but hey, I deserved it! :) Plus, it was a great end to a quick trip to my favorite place ever!

So, I finally uploaded the pictures from my Mom's camera of me trying on my wedding dress! This was in February so please don't mind my lovely pale complexion haha. Plus, the shots that we got of me in the dress aren't exactly the most flattering hahaha, I've lost weight since then too (Thanks to Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred...and portion control...boo).

My dress will be in ALL ivory so just ignore the champagne-colored bodice:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/MomsPics074.jpg

Here is one of me and my MOH being silly. Typical of us. This is not the dress I picked for my bridesmaids. The one we chose is from DB and is a sweetheart top, satin tea-length dress. It is in the color truffle and the sash is in the color capri. All of my BM's love them and they are wicked comfy!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/MomsPics078.jpg

The favors are being made by my mom (and me if I can manage)! She is so incredibly creative...yea somehow I missed out on that gene! Here is the prototype she made and the M&M's that will be in a little clear vellum bag inside the box. The M&M's are a little teal in color but they are the closest were gonna get to our colors.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/Spring2009071.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/Spring2009073.jpg

My Mom & I are also making the invitations. My sister-in-law who is just as creative as my mom will be helping too! Kevin and I went to Hallmark and he picked out the prototype! Once he saw them he didn't want ANYTHING else. We would have just ordered them but they only came in green and that wasn't going to work!

Here is the website for them as it won't let me save just the picture:

http://www.truwedding.com/engine.cfm?&PageID=1195&iCatID=43172

The outside of ours will be in chocolate brown and we aren't sure if we want the inner paper to be ivory or light blue, Mom and I are playing with some ideas next week when I am off. I found the perfect palm tree stamp that we're going to emboss on the card just like this one! I had to order it from Hawaii though  hopefully it will arrive soon!

Thanks Sam! I am in loveeee with my dress! I love how small it makes my tummy look! It is by Casablanca Bridal, Style 1881. When I first looked at it I thought it was pretty but nothing special, then I put it on and didn't want to take it off!!! So I totally forgot to post the newsletters I made for our wedding guests and wedding party! I created them in Publisher and it was really easy, I am really happy with the way they turned out! I think I am going to make another one to put in our welcome bags, I just have to think of more information to put on them! We'll we are officially 99 days away from the wedding!!! Over Memorial Day weekend our friends threw us a surprise wedding shower! We had a great time and some of my closest friends drove or flew in from Cali, NJ, SC, & PA! I will be adding pictures in the next couple of days! Right now we are currently trying to find a place to hold a rehearsal dinner for 50 people (Kev's mom decided she would like to invite everyone)! So if any of you have suggestions please let me know! We would like to book somewhere that has a private room that can hold a party of that size. Plus, it would be great if it wasn't too expensive!

I am still waiting on a BEO & floral budget from Karen and Rose as we keep having to add stuff because we haven't met our minimum! I will post that as soon as I receive it! Sorry to be such a bad DISer, life just seems to be so crazy lately!

So on Friday, May 22nd my friends threw me a surprise shower! Kevin had been on the surprise but it was for the both of us! My maid of honor had already planned to drive up that weekend from Myrtle Beach because one of our best friends/bridesmaids was flying in from California that weekend to visit. Now if anyone knows me they know I am a complete control freak so I had the whole weekend planned for us! We went out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory then went shopping at the mall, we pulled up to the house and I walked in and completely lost it!

My family (who lives here in Charlotte) were obviously all there but my bridesmaid/college friend drove in from Kentucky, my best friends mom drove in from Pittsburg, then another bridesmaid and my MOH's mom drove in from NJ! These are people I hadn't see in years so I was so touched that they drove all that way for the shower! Some friends from here in Charlotte were here also! My mom hosted it at the house and it was awesome! My MOH is Italian and her dad made the most delicious food which was driven down from NJ! YUM!

It was lots of good food, family, friends, and drinks! We got a lot of great gifts and just had so much fun catching up with everyone! Here are some pictures!

OMG I can't wait to run around with the little zappy gun! :lmao: Did you find that it was worth it? registering i mean. DF thinks that since there isn't a huge guest list for the wedding and/or shower that i might not be worth it.

It was definitely worth it! All of the gifts we received for our surprise shower were off of our registry. Plus a lot of people buy gifts and just have them shipped to the house if you are doing a destination wedding. It's totally up to you though!

Since DF and I are going on a honeymoon after our Disney trip we decided we would take advantage of our time in Disney World with our families. We are all doing the free dining so most of our reservations we made with our families except for dinner on our last night. We were able to make our ADR's on the 18th and we got everything we wanted! We also got to use Disney's new online reservations system and it worked out great for us! No issues at all! Here are our all of our dining plans:

Wednesday, Sept 16th- Cape May Buffet Dinner
Thursday, Sept 17th- Crystal Palace Buffet Character Breakfast
Friday, Sept 18th- No Table Service Planned-Rehearsal Dinner off property
Saturday, Sept 19th- OUR WEDDING!!!!
Sunday, Sept 20th- Kona Cafe Breakfast with any/all our wedding guests!
Sunday, Sept 20th- San Angel Inn Dinner
Monday, Sept 21st- 50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch
Tuesday, Sept 21st- Le Cellier Dinner (Just Kev and I)

This will be my niece's first time in the World so we are doing Crystal Palace for her on her first day in the Magic Kingdom. She is so excited! On our wedding night, we are staying at the Polynesian so it'll be fun to roll out of bed and meet everyone for breakfast (Tonga Toast!) in the morning. And this will be our first time trying Le Cellier so we are excited to be eating here together on our last night. Let me know if there are any places on here that any of you would/would not recommend going to!

So my original thought was that my mom, sister in law, and I would make our wedding invitations however September continued to get closer and closer and unfortunately none of us had the time to do them! I knew I did not want to spend a lot and our wedding is fairly casual so we didn't want anything fancy. I started showing Kevin invitations on line and in books and once he saw a few with palm trees on them he was sold. So there I was on a mission for palm tree wedding invitations that were inexpensive and could be made fairly quickly, oye.

Finally, I came across theses simple but pretty PALM TREE invitations on invitationconsultants.com. I bookmarked the site and a week later I finally had the time to show them to DF to see his thoughts...HE LOVED THEM! Plus they just happened to be on sale for 30% off, there was a code for $10 off on top of that, and they were offering free shipping!!! SCORE! So I quickly typed up what I wanted them to say and ordered them! They were delivered to my house 4 days later! We both love them!

Ok 1st off your ADR's look awesome! You are eating at some of my faves, Crystal Palace, Kona, Le Celier all are so yummy! 50's has the best pot roast I have ever eaten and we are pretty good pot roast chefs up here in New England! Cape May and San Angel are 2 places Dave and I chose for our honeymoon b/c they just look so fun! Great Picks Heather!

Now the invites, it must be something about boys and palm trees lol! My dad came home a few years ago with a palm tree tattoo (we called it his mid-life crisis tattoo lol) and Dave bought us a palm tree lamp last week! But seriously I am loving those invites, perfect for Florida!:goodvibes

Well, I cannot believe how quickly the big day is approaching! Only 20 days till we leave for Florida and only 24 till the wedding!!! I have been sooo busy that I have completely neglected my PJ! Everything is pretty much done! We have paid off the wedding and honeymoon (in Mexico, woot!) and now were just kind of finishing off all those little things that add up!

We booked the rehearsal dinner location, however we decided to invite everyone and do more of a cocktail/hors d'oeuvre party! We are having it at Bongo's at Downtown Disney and I am really excited as the food and drinks sound sooo good! :)

Bongos:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/bongos2.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/bongos1.jpg

I've also found my shoes for the wedding! I never wear heels so I decided on flip flops! I found them on sale at Marshall's and they work with my dress perfectly! The girls found their shoes at Burlington Coat Factory for $20 and are wicked comfy. My favorite shoes of all though are the guys! I am so excited to see how they're going to look with their tan suits! Remember, we are NOT having a formal wedding so we totally went casual on footwear to go along with the rest of the wedding!

My Shoes:

The Girl's Shoes (They're removing the charm-sorry so small):

And Their Suits for a Reminder:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/Tux.jpg

And as I am famous for deciding on something last minute, I ordered a veil just yesterday from David's Bridal! Fortunately, they were able to get it in ivory and it will be here no later than Sept 9th! I am so excited about this!!! I don't think I would have officially felt like a bride without one!

Veil:

We also got our bands and have started putting together the welcome bags so I will be sure to put that in my next post!

Amanda! I am getting SOOO excited, I am more emotional lately too haha! I have never been to Bongos but I hear the food is great so I am excited! And thanks for the compliments on the veil!

As for the suits, we rented them from Carolyn Allens! It was really easy and if you order I think 6 or more than you get the groom for free, although DF decided he would still pay for his and just deducted the cost off all of his groomsmen's suits instead. They were fairly inexpensive compared to a lot of others! We looked at MWTux too but they had NOTHING to rent in that color! Let me know if you have any other questions!

09-08-2009, 01:45 PM
So the day is quickly approaching and I cannot believe how close we are! Now we just have to get everything packed which I am sure will be a process in and of itself! We have a total of 88 room nights booked (Our block was 40!) and we have 48 guests!!! Everything couldn't have seemed to be more perfect...then I woke up with a horrible toothache! Grr. I went to the dentist today and had to have a lovely root canal done! So here I am all jacked up on pain meds filling you in! I guess it was a blessing to have it happen this week rather than when we're in Florida or Mexico though!

Anyway, my best friend/MOH drove in from Myrtle Beach this weekend and on Saturday night her, me, my mom, and sister in law had a lovely girls night making favors and things for the wedding and drinking pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris! We got a lot done and had a really good time!!! I have photographic evidence that we really we're being productive too although there was alcohol involved!:rotfl:

I forgot to mention that a few weeks ago I went to Home Depot and jacked a bunch of the Disney paint samples to make a countdown calendar for my two neices/flower girls, Addison & Emma. I also used a mickey head punch to make mickey stickers for them to stick on the mickey paint chip head as each day passes.

The Finished Product:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingPlanning105.jpg

You may remember that we were planning on using M&M's as our favors but we nixed the idea and decided to do our favorite candy instead! Kevin lovessss York Peppermint Patties (And he's from NY so that's kinda cool) and my Nonna got me obsessed with Ferraro Rochers! Yum! So my mom used one of her fancy cutting things to cut out boxes and we put them all together this weekend.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingPlanning119.jpg

I love love love them and not only because they're yummy, they're cute too!

Then finally I decided I wanted to make t-shirts for the wedding party as the one's online were ridiculously overpriced. So I went to Old Navy and found tanks for $2.99 a piece and ordered the rhinestone words online off of Amazon.com for either $1 or $2 a piece! I decided that I would make little bags for my nieces too! Everything was iron-on and they were so easy and turned out really cute!

OMG I LOVE everything!!!!

The favors came out AWESOME! I love the idea of edible favors as opposed to something someone will get and put in their kitchens junk drawer and never see again.

The tank tops came out great, they look professionally done! And so cute that you made the countdown out of the home depot paint samples... i did the same thing for our engagement trip!

I dont like the whole root canal thing though.... i hate dentists and i had a run in with a nasty tootheache before a disney trip too... its never a good thing but atleast you go it over with now and can enjoy the wedding and honeymoon!!!

AND I took a picture!!!!

I would have taken more but I didn't want you to get freaked out! LOL...

I don't know how I missed your PJ before!

We had just arrived at WDW that day and had taken a bus from DTD to BW and were walking over to EPCOT for our dinner ADR at Morocco...I said to DH..."ooh, wouldn't it be cool if we saw a wedding when we walked by SBP?" (We got married at SBP on May 1). And because his eyesight is better than mine, he saw your setup way before I did..

You looked BEAUTIFUL!!! And it was sooo hot that day! eesh! I love the whole look of the wedding and you had steel drums, right? Man! I have to go back and read your PJ now!!

I haven't downloaded my pics from my camera yet, but I will soon and I'll post the pic of you here and send it to you if you want.

Anyway, Congrats!!! Are you going to do a full TR? I'd LOVE to read it!!

So we were planning on getting up bright and early on Tuesday morning to make the 8 hour drive down to Orlando however I had to work late and by the time we got done packing up the cars it was well past midnight. Therefore we didnít end up getting on the road until 6:30AM but we made great time and we were checking into the Sheraton Safari Suites right outside of Disney property not long after 3PM. I work for Starwood and earned a night so I figured why not stay for free! That night my mom and I went to get a mani/pedi and got Chilis soup & salad take-out. Yum! Then we all went for a swim and hit the hay!

On Wednesday we got up and checked into the Caribbean Beach Resort where we would be staying for the rest of our trip! I have to say that we all thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The grounds were beautiful and it was so nice to have a quiet pool right outside our building. Our guests were either staying with us at the CBR or at the Pop Century and it was great to be so close to everyone since we had the car to go back and forth if needed. Wednesday was a little crazy because we had a lot of friends and family coming in so we tried to meet up and say hi to as many as we could. We also took the wedding bags over to the front desk so everyone would receive them at check-in. That night Kev and I and my brother, Sean and his girlfriend, Kelly decided to hit up AK because it was having EMH. Kev and I had never ridden Everest in the dark and Sean and Kelly had never been to AK at all so it was a lot of fun!

Everyone's reactions on that Dinosaur ride look tame! I absolutely crapped myself on that ride- its soooooo scary! I went on it again straight after the first time, thinking i would actually be able to not be a scardy cat and cover my eyes the whole way but nooooo. But soooo great though!

You looked stunning ...! Your dress is so beautiful! i cant wait to read more of the TR!

So we were up bright and early on Thursday morning to head to the Magic Kingdom for our breakfast at The Crystal Palace. No one in my family had ever been there before and we were mainly excited to see how my nieces were going to react to all the characters. This was their first trip to Disney World and they loveeee all the princesses and practically every Disney character. Our reservations were for 8:30AM and we did have to wait quite awhile.

Addison loved all the characters, Emma not so much! She would wave from afar but that's about all they got. Everyone loved CP though, the food was really good and it was such a great way to start our family trip together!

It was wicked hot out that day though, hotter than last September so we were all pretty beat by the afternoon so we decided to head back to the hotel. Plus, my best friend/MOH was just about to get in and the boys were headed over to Carolyn Allen's to get fitted for their suits so we had much to do! We also had to give ourselves some rest before Drink Around the World that night!!!

So tonight we were all excited to celebrate by Drinking Around The World!!! :) Kevin nor I had a bachelor or bachelorette party so this was our way of doing that. My maid of honor, Megan had shirts made for the occasion for all the girls and we were set to go! Now Kevin and I are not big drinkers at all, some of our friends can hold their own however. We didn't start as early as we would have liked therefore we by no means made it around the world. It was still a good time though!!!

We started in Mexico with some delicious Margaritas!!!
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney025.jpg

And wow we're they strong! Plus, my one bridesmaid decided to dump half of hers in mine while I went to the restroom so little did I know that I had a little bit more tequila than everyone else!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/dawsilly.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney027.jpg

Off to Germany for beer and pretzels, yum! I could easily eat one of those pretzels everytime I go by that place!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney029.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney028.jpg

Then to Italy where I had some delicious champagne as that always seems to be my drink of choice!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney031.jpg

Then comes SAKE!!!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney037.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney039.jpg

Finally we ended the night with the infamous Grey Goose Slushie and Illuminations!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney042.jpg

Then we went to Downtown Disney and hit up the bar at Planet Hollywood hahaha, no really we just went to eat and I must admit their lasagna rolls that they have, delicious!!! We headed back to our hotels with full bellies ready for a fun Friday to come!

So after a great night of drinking we all decided to sleep in and relax. My MOH, Megan and BM, Libby and I decided to hit up Hollywood Studios to ride Rockiní Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror before we got showered and ready to head to the rehearsal and cocktail party at Bongos. When I say it was SO HOT that day, it is an understatement! Whoa. After hitting our two favorite rides, we got some water and a Mickey ice cream bar and shopped for a bit! We were back around 2:30 to get ready for the rehearsal at Sea Breeze Point at 5PM and Bongoís right after!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/hollywoodstudios.jpg

We had set up a taxi service to pick up the wedding party to bring them over to the Boardwalk for Rehearsal. The first group arrived right on time but the second group was a little late so we didnít get started right at 5 unfortunately.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney070.jpg

However, Karen Heyn, my planner is incredible and she moved things right along which was especially good due to the heat! RevKev had a vow renewal that night so Theresa came and she was so witty! She made Kevin and I completely comfortable and kept the wedding party in line! I really lucked out with my team/vendors; I was 100% satisfied with all of them!

So our Welcome Cocktail Party started at 6:30 at Bongo's so the wedding party headed over there after rehearsal to meet with the rest of our guests! DH's parents and aunt decided to invite everyone to the event since they all traveled so far and we were only having 50 guests attend the wedding. It was completely generous of them and everyone had such a good time!

The food was incredible and we had open bar too! We had our own private bar area with tables inside on the top floor then we also had a whole outside patio and bar too. The manager, Tony was awesome and took such good care of all of our guests. Everyone raved about the location, food, and service! If you are looking for a great place to hold a welcome party/rehearsal dinner I would highly recommend Bongos! None of us had been there before but we were all completely satisfied with our choice!

We had passed hors d'oeuvres and this was what we chose for the menu:

COCTEL DE CAMARONES: Jumbo Shrimp Trays Served with Cocktail Sauce
PAPA RELLENA: Breaded Mashed Potato Stuffed Ground Beef Creole
EMPANADAS: Assorted Meat & Chicken Turnovers
MINI BROCHETA DE PALOMILLA: Grilled Palomilla Steak Mini Skewers
CRUDITE TRAYS: Slice Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Cauliflower Served with a Ranch Dressing
We also had a fruit spread as well, I wish I had pictures!!! The food looked just as good as it tasted! :)

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney076.jpg
Whose idea was it to do shots?!

Tony Montana!!!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney085.jpg
Bryan, Aunt Shirley, Donna, Jarrett

I had also ordered a groom's cake for Kevin. As he is the biggest Buffalo Bills fan ever, it was an easy choice to make of what it was going to look like! I ordered it from Party Flavors Custom Cakes and they were great! They delivered the cake and it looked and tasted perfectly! I ordered a marble cake with chocolate fudge icing and it was good! The whole cake was gone in a matter of minutes! Kevin was completely surprised and loved it! Tony and his crew cut and served the cake for us at no charge!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney089.jpg
Buffallo Bills!

Where there's cake, there's Addison!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney093.jpg
Just making sure it tastes okay!

After the cake we just mingled and thanked everyone for coming! We handed out our gifts to our wedding party then took some pictures. Kevin got his guy's these freezeable pilsners of their favorite sports teams (they were a big hit) and I got my girl's their jewelry (You'll see it, note: I hate bridesmaid's jewelry!) and I made them all shirts to wear the next morning while we were getting ready!

Some of the ladies!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney101.jpg
Some of the gents! You can see some of the guys were already using their gifts!

The balcony had a beautiful view overlooking the water at Downtown Disney, plus there was an awesome breeze that night! A lot of us just hung outside and watched the balloon go up and down! After hanging for a bit, Kevin went back to the hotel to gather up his stuff to stay in his best man Mark's room for the night. Some of the crew went to Hard Rock for a bit before we headed back for the night! Everyone had an awesome time and I couldn't believe I was going to be married the next day!:lovestruc

So sorry I haven't updated! Things in life have been crazy busy! I got a new job which is less hours and more money!!! Did I mention it's wayyyy less stress too?! Love it! Then Kev's parents and my MOH/best friend Megan came to town for Thanksgiving so we were obusy spending time with them. You may have also noticed my ticker!!! Yep, Kev and I are going back to Disney for 5 days to check out all the Christmas decorations, plus it will be exactly a year since we were engaged in Disneyland! We're both wicked excited to get away for a few days!

Anyway back to my TR, Carolyn Allen's were at our room by 9AM on Saturday morning to steam my gown and all the girl's bridesmaid dresses!!! They all looked beautiful and we couldn't wait to get them on!

By 11, the team from Beaute Speciale showed up. We had both Laine and Rosie who were incredible! Not only did they do an awesome job on our hair and make-up but they were hilarious too! We were all cracking up laughing the whole time, especially at Rosie who was extremely witty! All of us girls, including Addi & Emma were sporting the tanks we made! They looked wicked cute! You can also see the jewelry I bought for the girls to wear. I HATE bridal jewelry because I feel like you only wear it once then its pointless so I bought them Chaps bracelets and matching earrings, just simple silver balls. They loved them!

Around 2:30 both the flowers and Misty and Nelio showed up! By this time, I will admit, I was completely overwhelmed but sooo very excited to be getting married!!!

So we left off with the girls and I finishing up our hair and make-up. Then Nelio and Misty had arrived, it was all happening!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85007.jpg

Literally, the second Nelio & Misty walked in, so did Disney Floral! I have to say that working with Rose was great! She is an EXTREMELY busy lady however she was always prompt answering my e-mails and questions. I had almost changed my mind about my bouquet but I'm glad I didn't. Once the Disney Floral team handed it over to me, I fell in love!!! :lovestruc

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85013.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85020.jpg

I couldn't wait to show my MOH her bouquet which I let Rose make a few special touches to. Unlike the rest of the BM's, her bouquet had smaller darker roses within the bouquet and had a hidden mickey on the handle! I thought she was going to cry once I gave it to her!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85029.jpg

All the BM's were happy with the way their bouquets turned out. I know Disney Floral can be expensive but I was happy I had them hold small bouquets as I lovedddd the way they turned out in pictures!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85037.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/maids85042.jpg

I was so excited over the actual bouquets, that I completely forgot about the beautiful orchids for my hair! There was more than enough so I gave one to my MOH to wear as well. Laney got right to work placing them beautifully in my hair, then on went the veil!!!

Then Misty took some "fun" pictures of us girls before we put our wedding gear on! ;)

Then all of the sudden, it was time to put on my gown! I don’t know if you can really tell in pictures but my dress buttoned all the way up the back so my BM's and mom got to work!!! (FYI -the next few installments will have Misty’s pics and some of my BM’s pics mixed in)

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85045.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85147.jpg

I had SO many things running through my head, trying to make sure I didn't forget anything! Fortunately, I have the best mom on the planet and she pretty much held the reins on it all! I totally didn't realize that I didn't have a "something old" however my mom did. She gave me my great grandmother's/grandmother's handkerchief to hold onto during the ceremony. It brought us both to tears as Disney was always my Nonna, aka grandmother's favorite place to vacation. She sparked my family's love of the place! She had passed away a few years ago and it was hard for both my mom and I for her not to be there. By having the handkerchief it made it a little more "real" that she was there in spirit. I also had her picture tied into my bouquet.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85064.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/89065.jpg

Once the dress was snug, my MOH helped me get my garter on! Funny thing is, she is the one who caught it later!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney143-1.jpg

My nieces were sooo good during the whole process of getting ready, pictures, wedding, etc. I was so happy that they could share in this experience!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85089.jpg

So Misty and Nelio were running around like crazy taking shots of EVERYTHING! I cannot say enough good things about them, they are amazing to work with and everyone at our wedding loved them! Misty and Nelio got some great shots of the guys wandering around the Boardwalk area. I was so worried about the boys melting because of the humidity but Misty and Nelio took them in and out of places so they wouldn't be dying of the heat.

I am not sure if anyone elses husband has an unhealthy obsession with ESPN but my husband sure does! Anytime you turn a TV on in our house, Sports Center is blaring!!! Therefore, there was NO QUESTION as to where some of the photographs of the guys were going to be taken! They are some of my favorites too!

HAHA! DH had asked me if I cared if they all had "a drink" before the wedding and I said of course not! Us ladies had some mimosas so it was no big deal to me. Apparently, one of the groomsmen went to the bar to go buy round 2 but DH's mom cut them off! :rotfl:

Thanks, I had Beaute Speciale and they were awesome and that's CRAZY about your plans!!! I loved SBP, our ceremony pictures are some of my favorites! So us ladies all piled into the limo and headed to the Boardwalk! My nerves weren't bad at all actually and I was surprised how calm I was.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney155-2.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/WeddingHoneymoonDisney154-2.jpg

We arrived at the Boardwalk Inn and Karen (Heyn) was there to greet us with a smile! I cannot tell you how pleased I was with Karen. I did have a different planner at the start of the process and she unfortunately lost her position when Disney started their layoffs. I know Karen was put in a hard position but she handled it perfectly! I trusted her completely! As we all stepped out of the limo, people immediately started yelling congratulations so I couldn't help but laugh!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85163.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/85167.jpg

Once we got into The Boardwalk Inn, Misty had us hang back for a second so she could clear the path for some pictures. That woman does not mess around! I did not want to waste those few minutes and took a seat because I knew I probably wasn't going to be able to until way later that evening!

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/88134.jpg

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/88137.jpg

Misty moved some furniture around and took us over to the fireplace to start the formal picture's of my girls and I.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f110/heathernjnc/88146.jpg

As soon as she started taking pictures of my mom and I, my best friend/MOH lost it, which then caused my mom to cry...I actually thought it was pretty funny considering it was my wedding day and I had not shed a tear yet!

So this was about the point in time that my mom realized we forgot the programs! However Karen and her team quickly saved the day! One of her assistants grabbed my mom's room key and hopped the limo over to The Caribbean Beach Resort and picked them up! LIFE SAVER! I totally forgot about assigning someone to hand them out too so Karen's team came to the rescue with that as well! They were amazing.

So now was the time I actually started to get a little nervous/excited! I was extremely calm through the whole entire process but I think I was afraid that I was going to trip going down the aisle, stutter on my vows, or just cry through the whole entire process!!! Walking up to Sea Breeze Point confirmed that we had made the right decision on where to get married. We had the slightest little floral touches and it still looked absolutely beautiful!

Oh and I cannot resist the cutness of my nieces, Emma and Addison. They were so good the whole day and SO excited! Once Karen filled up their baskets, my niece Addison walked up to me and asked, "Aunt Heather, do we have to toss the flowers?" I, of course said no as they were going to blow away once they were on the aisle anyway!

I had actually seen a picture online of Anne Hathaway and fell in love with the whole side braid low bun thing...I knew I wanted fresh floral in my hair so I just let the girls from Beaute Speciale do their magic! It turned out better than I had imagined and I got TONS of compliments on it!

Kevin's parents and my mom first brought down our sand for the sand ceremony...

We decided to start the wedding with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" while Kevin and the entire wedding party walked down the aisle ways. We also had this as our last song at the reception so it was special to have it open and close the whole show! ;) It sounded beautiful being played by the Calypso Trio! (I won't include the whole wedding party walking down the aisles, just a few shots)

Then came Addi & Emma who completely stole the show! :) I wasn't expecting Emma to even walk down the aisle since she was just a year and a half old but Addi grabbed her hand and said "Come on Em" and off they went!

Thanks Katie! Yep, I let them pick them out and they got them at David's Bridal. They were wicked affordable and looked great in pictures! The girls loved them and said they were comfortable and cool (which you need in Sept in Florida!).

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! ;) He was truly the perfect fit for us, he even cracked some jokes during our ceremony. We loved him! We still keep in touch through FB too! When we got home from our honeymoon he left a comment on my page saying, "See you in 10 years for the vow renewal!" :thumbsup2

...And on with the show! I could not believe how many people stopped to watch the wedding, most were pretty understanding and stayed out of pictures! I think most people are just enthralled with the idea of someone getting married in Disney World so I didn't mind. Honestly, I didn't even notice anyone was around until I saw them in some of our photos!

Not one boat went by during our ceremony! I couldn't believe how quiet it was on the Boardwalk. Then again, I was getting married so I may have just completely ignored everything going on around me! :rotfl:

Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us this opportunity, to be present in these surroundings. Where dreams come true, where a couple comes together in marriage. Thank you for Heather and Kevin as they begin this, their journey through life together. Walk with them each step of the way giving them the faith, and the wisdom, to face together whatever the future may hold. In your name we pray, amen.

Forasmuch as Heather and Kevin, have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and thereto have pledged their faith each to the other, and have declared the same by joining hands and by giving and receiving rings, I hereby pronounce that they are husband and wife together. What God has joined together let not man put asunder. Amen

You may kiss your beautiful bride

Heather, I just found your PJ/TR and I love everything you did! And I may be biased, but I love your dress! I just got married at Disney World on March 12th and my dress is very similar to yours. Also a Casablanca, it's the same in the torso, but straight across the top with no beading...shorter train, too...but otherwise, pretty much the same! Great taste. ;)

Thank you! The groomsmen's suits were rented from Carolyn Allen's, they all LOVED them! They were casual yet still dressy and they didn't weigh a ton! Definitely a good option!

I love your dress and the groomesmens' suits. I am using that same color/style suits for my wedding and also renting them from Carolyn Allen's. I really like how your groomsmen are all wearing sneakers with their suits. My DF really wants to wear a pair of Vans and I keep telling him no! The sneakers don't look bad at all in your pics. I think I'll make him wear shoes anyways though. Because, if I have to wear a pair of uncomfortable shoes why shouldn't he have to too, lol. :)

You really looked so beautiful that day! And it WAS SO HOT OUT! The look of your wedding with the band really fit on such a hot day. Chic and stylish yet casual! I loved the colors and the guys' suits and sneaks!

Haha that's too funny! I wore flip flops because I pratically live in them and DH lovesss his chuck taylor's so it was a perfect fit for us to wear them for the wedding! Plus, the comfy factor was important!

So I forgot to mention that DH & I's recessional was to the song, One Love which sounded absolutely perfect on the steal drums! Plus Kevin and I both love that song so we couldn't think of anything better to finally walk hand in hand to as husband and wife.

Anyway, once we were announced, Karen pulled Kev and I to the side and gave us some water to cool off. She and her assistant then set everyone up and handed out the rose petals for our staged exit. At this time, RevKev came over and said a few words to us and thanked us for having him be involved in our ceremony. My MOH & Kev's BM also came over and signed our marriage license and off went RevKev saying, "See you for the vow renewal in 10 years!" LOVE THAT MAN!
