would i be able to use an adult credit for a kids meal at counter service places?? Sometimes i prefer the kids option to the adults (and i'm also a sucker for those cute mickey mouse plates :goodvibes )

Disney does not differentiate between Adult and Child CS credits. They certainly will give you no problem in ordering an extra child's meal. You may have trouble doing the reverse, since your card indicates how many are in your party - if you were a party of 2 Adults, 1 child, and tried to purchase 3 adult meals, they may flag that at check-out, but they might not - I haven't tried to abuse the system in that way. What you are suggesting should be no problem at all.

(The first year of DDP - they didn't differentiate between Adult and Child TS meals - and THAT got abused so much, they started coding them separately in 2007, but have not yet for the CS meals.)

You might just want to pay out of pocket for it. The child's meals are not very expensive (around $5). Save your adult CS and use it one morning for a breakfast.

I would save the CS credit and use it for breakfast or a late-night snack and pay for the kids meal out of pocket - they are usually under $5.
