Barb: This is for you. For some reason, I can't reply to your post.
What we saw (and verified with our server) was this:
No kids (or mostly teens, etc.): LAPLAPL
Little kids: APLAPLA
Medium range kids (lab age): PLAPLAP
We were the PLAPLAP rotation, and our server suggested we request LAPLAPL for the future, because it was a bit chaotic for us. We passed the LAPLAPL rotation rooms several times, and it definitely looked like a calmer environment!!

When do we actually get to see Animator's Palate Show? I read they only run it once during the 7-day Western cruise. We are planning a dinner at Palo's and want to make sure it's not on the same night as AP.
Also, How many people at a table? We have 14 people in our party. Will they break us up into two tables near each other?

Hi
If you want a copy of a workshhet I made up for all possible combinations and have access to EXCELL, Email me. This sheet is for late seating and based on which menus I prefered for making ressies at Palo and Sureal Spa and takes into account formal and semi-formal night dress code sugestions. You can change where needed as your preferences will be different.

How can we find out what our rotation is before we get our navigator? We also would like to make plans around the rotation for palo's and spa reservations. We are two adults who have asked for late seating and are not too fond of PC will use those nights for Palos and other things. Thanks for any replies. Your rotation will be printed on your Key to the World Card which you will get at check-in. There will be a seven letter code printed on it, APLAPLA, PLAPLAP or LAPLAPL. L=Lumiere's, P=Parrot Cay and A=Animator's Pallet.
You cannot find out your rotation before check-in.

The animator's palate show will be done on the first three nights of the Western Cruise.. So it will be the first night you are in AP.

I guess I am confused. I thought the "ideal" place to be on formal night was Lumiere's and that's why the "ideal" rotation on the Eastern Cruise was PLA. So if this hold true then the "ideal" rotation on the Western Cruise is APL, since formal night is the third evening. That is the rotation with all the small children. So my question is "Does it really matter which room you are in on formal night." We only have a 15 year old DS and have late seating reservation, so if the logic holds true we will be in late seating on the lap rotation, putting us in Parrot Cay on formal night. This is our first curise and we just want it to be the best possible. :Pinkbounc

It didn't matter to us when we were on the Eastern last year. Everyone looked very nice in their clothes and all had a good time no matter the restaurant you were in. On the formal night the menu is the same in all the restaurants....or at least it used to be.
