And we're happy you can post pictures too. I think I am going to have to check out that picture site and do some posting of my own!

BTW - The rainbarrel is kinda cute sitting in that corner all by its lonesome, just sitting there and waiting for rain.

Guess what, guess what Vanessa!!! :bounce: I bought a rain barrel for DH for Christmas! He'd been eyeing them all summer, so I ordered one! My friends are keeping it at their house right now, so DH won't see it.

Now, how do I wrap the darn thing? ;) :)

Maybe I should wrap myself and jump out of it! Just like those giant birthday cakes! ;) :) :)

Now that would be a surprise! I have lots of comments but they aren't appropriate at all for this board.;)

Now...you just need rain...We didnt get much last year at all! Mine is safely tucked in my shed for the winter. Do you have a good downspout to stick it under?

ROTFLOL! Vanessa!!! :teeth: You are a nut nut!! :)

With my luck, I'd jump out, give poor DH a heart attack, the barrel would tip over, and I'd go rolling down the stairs with it.............:p

I'd better think of a Plan B! :) ;)

Too funny Vanessa...:) :)

How far are you from Niagra Falls?
You would be all ready to go for a ride!

OMG! I just found this thread! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Roll out the barrel!

We'll have a barrel of fun!!!!!

Roll out the barrel!!

Why the heck does it weigh a ton???

About 40 miles WMA, but that's a bad idea. All the mist at the Falls plays havoc with my hair! :p

Weigh a ton Gina? :P I'll have you know I just did a dry run. No problem getting in or out of the barrel, if I use a little step stool.

My friend Peter (of Stinky Tree fame), brought it over yesterday, and I've put it in the spare room. I made a sign and posted it on the door, as a warning to DH. It reads:

Open this door, and I will have to kill you!

.....too subtle?

This is going to be great!!!! :bounce:

Amid Chaos - where did you find the rain barrel. I looked for one for DH at a few local shops and they didn't carry them. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Annmarie

Snowwark!!! What did hubby think about his rainbarrel??? Did you do the "pop out of the cake" routine with it???

Hi BCVOwner! :) I don't know where Amid got her rain barrel from, but I bought mine at Lee Valley Tools (in Canada of course, :)). Here's a link (in US dollars) for you.

Tulirose, unfortunately Mother Nature played havoc with my rain barrel surprise. :( It was a washout, or rather, a whiteout. Christmas morning we woke to find that a snowstorm was well underway. We had to hurry through our gift opening so that DH could shovel the driveway (the snowblower was at the shop  ), then go shovel my parent's driveway.

I told him about my plan (in my best sad little face..lol), which he found somewhat amusing. :) He was very pleased with the rain barrel however. :)

We need a new wheelbarrow this spring, maybe I can plan something special around that. Hmmm.....:)
