A few pictures of our crazy Texas weather. This weekend it will be in the mid-60's, but the kids are out of school today because of an ice storm.

Nice pictures. I really like the last one, how the water gathered and froze in droplets along the fence. I like the sunshine too!

This morning there was freezing fog. It actually shutdown a freeway overpass. Strange weather in North Texas.

Yeah, that freezing fog this morning was definitely something different for us around here. I would have loved to have grabbed a shot of it but I had to be in the office before sunrise and I had already managed to pull a reverse half gainer on the ice in my driveway!

ACK!!! I'm so thankful that I live in TEXAS!!! Our ice storms will never be as impressive as an IL ice storm, but I'm totally ok with that.
The fog this morning was so beautiful. I actually had my camera with me when I was driving to work, but I probably would have gotten myself killed if I'd stopped to take a picture.

just what is freezing fog, i'm picturing running in to a solid sheet of ice in the air kind of like a force field but guessing that isn't right:)

Haha! Exactly what it sounds like to me too. The best way I can describe it is sort of like a frost that is suspended in mid-air. All of the trees, etc. have a frost like covering. After my drive to the office, it accumulated on my car like a very thick frost. I still don't think that really explains it well but that's what the National Weather Service calls it when it's 23 degrees and foggy I suppose.:confused3

Basically it is frozen fog - what is fog - high water content in the air. It makes for one heck of a cold cold damp morning/day.
Here is one I took in our backyard.
