teacher discount

I am starting to plan our trip for March 2003!!! Is there a special phone number to call in order to get the teacher discount at the Dolphin??? When I called they said that teacher discounts were not offered until 3 months in advance! Thanks!!

I booked at the Dolphin by calling the hotel directly. I made my teacher reservations about 8 months out. So unless they have made a change in policy I think reservations only being made three months in advance is wrong. Most people plan their WDW trip more than 90 days out. Also keep watching this board and mousesavers.com for additional discounts and codes. The new teacher rate is $149 and some of the deluxe disney resorts, WL and AKL are going for about $129 with discounts. Just something to consider.

Last July i was able to book the teacher's discount for this past April. They did give me the discount when I booked it.

Do you know if substitute teachers also get the discount?

I booked my nurse discount for September in March, so who knows? Maybe they are making up the rules as they go along...:D

The best way to book the Swan/Dolphin with the teacher rate is through the DIS. Click on the Swan/Dolphin links at the top of the page and go through Dreams Unlimited. We have done this several times and had good success booking the teacher rate.
