By this time me and Henry had begun discussing getting engaged and I had started looking at rings, we both decided a Disney wedding was the way to go, we wanted to keep it intimate with close family and friends and have a fantastic holiday with everybody there. Fast forward to last weekend and Henry proposed , here is the story;

Me and and my lovely boyfriend were engaged on Friday evening - we had been discussing it for a while (we had picked a ring during Christmas) and even booked a wedding planning trip to WDW for October :rotfl2: (what can I say Virgin had a flight sale on :rotfl: )

I came home from work on Friday and Henry said to get in the car as we were going away - he said he had already packed my things. We set off in the car and he put on a cd he had made of all my favourite disney songs for me to listen too - the Little Mermaid, Enchanted, High School Musicial etc, by the point I was already crying  with joy though!

We drove for about an hour and then reached Whinstone Lodge - a new development of 5 luxury lodges and a bistro restaurant (here is their website they have come nice photos on there http://www.whinstoneview.com/Welcome.html).

We pulled up to our lodge, and got out, Henry said all my clothes were inside :confused3 (I was very confused by this point)

Here is our lodge

and the views from the lodge

When we got inside all my clothes were unpacked (two suitcases full as Henry didnt know what to bring :lmao: ), and there was champagne and flowers:

Henry then sat me down and proposed - I said yes of course! Here is my ring :goodvibes

and some more photos of the interior of the lodge

We then went for dinner at the Bistro on the grounds, which was lovely

and then drank the rest of our champagne in our outdoor hot tub!

Don't be pressured to invite people you don't want to. If you can only afford a certain number of people then that is your limit. Good luck with your planning.

We are going to make the most of the trip this time- and spend as much time as we can in the parks because we wont be going back until the wedding next Nov!!

Polynesian Bride- have you picked your wedding day? I thought maybe a Wednesday since I thought it might be quieter?

We originally set the date for Friday Dec 10. Hopefully beat the crowds but still take advantage of Disney being decorated for Christmas... not to mention the value rates! However when we went to Disney we went Dec 13-18 last month we decided to change. The day we got there Dec 13 was a Friday and was crazy busy... we stopped by the Polynesian around 4:30 and it was a total ZOO by OHana (which doesn't even open til 5). The parks didn't seem too crowded the next day Saturday but the crowds got progressively worse each day we were there as it got closer to Christmas which is Disney's busiest time. So we decided to move the date back just a little to Monday Dec 6, 2010. It doesn't seem like 4 days would make a huge difference but I think at this time of year it does. And weekday definately seemed to make a difference at OHana compared to weeked and this makes a huge difference to us since we will have our meal there after the wedding... if you are doing a private dining location it may not make as big of a difference. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the advice! As we are coming from the U.K were planning on doing 10 days at wdw and a 4 day DCL cruise, so were pretty flexible about what day to have the wedding on. We were thinking Wednesday or Thursday 8/9 Dec 2010, but I might have to change it as too see which day usually has the cheapest flights? We are planning on Citricos at the moment but going to check out dining on our October trip!:thumbsup2

Just a quick little update, going to going wedding dress shopping on Saturday with a friend who is also engagement - I am a bit scared by it all, so having someone else in the same boat will help me out!:)

I've also upgraded us to POFQ for our planning trip in September as a surprise for Henry for his birthday :goodvibes and we still need to buy a new car grrrr!

I've had a great idea for our "at home" reception, there is a beautiful restored art deco independent cinema in Newcastle called the Tyneside Cinema, you can hire our screens for private screenings - so I thought we could hire out a screen and show everyone our wedding, and then have a cocktail party in the bar upstairs? Whats great about is is you can even order drinks while you watch the films :goodvibes

Here are some photos there not too good though as its newly opened as it was restored last year:

This is it from the outside:

I've just had this from Disney:

"You are able to upgrade your chairs. This will be done through the florist. The florist can order white folding chairs that cost approximately $5/chair, or chivari chairs which range from $13 to $15/chair depending on color. The set up and delivery fee is approximately $200."

Unfortunetly I am too big busted and too small for these dresses!:rotfl:

We went to Debenhams - and they about 5 dresses in, then went to BHS and I just thought everything was nasty in there (I was pretty fed up by this point!)

So I have came to came to the conclusion due to my unfortunate body shape I shall have to get something made!

So Amy and I are booked to go to the national wedding show in Birmingahm next month and stay at the Radisson SAS hotel in the city centre - so that will be good fun! Hopefully we will get some (ideas I have seen a couple of Augusta Jones and Trudy Lee dresses I think are very pretty, so I am going to have a look at those).

im sorry to hear you couldnt find anything, thats a bum! at least you have the chance now to get a dress made for you so you can show off your figure (man id kill to have a big bust!) - and you never know, you might find some great deals at the wedding show.

I have heard that if you decide to pay for a dress in full, then you get a big discount, so bear that in mind- i am going to save HARD so i can pay for my dress in full, and it'll save me about £100, and i know its not much, but i can think of many other things i could spend that money on!

Have you seen the wedding dress shop called Oriental Pearl ? There is one in Bluewater in Kent and its really nice in there and has pretty reasonable prices (they range from low to high like £1200).

Hi!I think I am going to pay in full-my mum is going to pay half (bless her) so I can get a discount, the one I have seen on the Trudy Lee website is £450 so thats not too bad - and even better if I get a discount! I just want to hang on before I start trying some more on as I want to lose some weight, so going to get serious about it all about Mayish time I think :)

Just wanted to stop in and say congrats. Everything looks nice. My color is sage also! I found my bridemaid dresses on the internet, if you look around there are some great buys!

Is pancake day this tuesday or a week tuesday!!!?? I love my "english" pancakes as we call them. I was born in England and lived there til I was eight (went to an american school though) and we used to even have pancake races. I don't know how you could say no to them!!! My mom made some last weekend and I pigged out! It's one night, it's not going to hurt in the long run. You should eat some for me!!!

It is a shame you didn't find anything. You'll have a great time at the wedding show, I went last October, you can pick up a proper wedding dress that would normally be hundreds of pounds or even thousands for as little as £99 but you have to take it home with you then.

I am very large up top as well and was worried about getting a dress but I found one no problem.

Is Pancake Day the same as "Fat Tuesday" here in the US? Here we eat Paczki's (like donuts). Are they just regular US pancakes or some special UK pancakes? Oh right wedding stuff...:lmao: I'm sorry you didn't find a dress you like but I think it would be pretty cool if you had one made for you! Can't wait to read more!

No US & UK pancakes are different.

Pancake day or Shrove Tuesday to give it the correct name is the day before lent starts on Ash Wednesday.

Making my save the dates....
Over the last couple of weeks I have been making and crafting a fwe things to sent out as save the date boxes to my 14 guests. I have not gone very "disney" as most of my guests have not been before and I dotn want to scare them off :rotfl:

My Save the Date Cards
I have a number of these made by www.vistaprint.co.uk - I think they came out really well, I upgraded the card to a textured one that does not come out in the photos. The matching envelopes are really cute too they have our names and address on the back :)

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/028-1.jpg

Save the Date Favours

My cookies from www.fairytalefavours.net arrived today they are so cute:

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/019-2.jpg

I look the sparkle on the icing!

I then put each cookie in another clear bag and added silver heart confetti (so they are in two bags - no confetti on the cookie!) and retied the bag with sage and silver ribbon

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/027-1.jpg

I then wrapped them up reusing the packaging fairytale favors had sent me

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/022-1.jpg

and once they were wrapped added this label :)

I loved Vistaprint! It is so easy to use, we got card sized one - so they are bigger than business cards, you get envelopes with the cards, could you order some envelopes with your address on the front?

I paid £15 for 12 - but I did upgrade the card, envelopes and also paid more so they would be sent within 7 days (they were delivered in 5!)

so i can get some cards with a reply thing on and get envelopes with an address on the front so guests can send them back all on vistaprint and for quite cheap??

i would just want some smallish cards i think, my std cards are 6x4 so a business card would fit nicely in there.

Do you reckon you can use the Disney type font on Vista print? Its just that inside our card is the Disney font- i will post photos on my PJ tomorrow morning.

I am leaving work now so i might not reply until tomorrow so thanks for the advice about vista print

Things I LOVE!

This is the dress I have fallen in love with - its a Trudy Lee but her website is has a terrible photo of it - why is the bride sitting down?!!

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/57909_1.jpg

I found the dress in Perfect Weddings magazine (pg 54 of the month's issue!), and here is a much better photo - I really love it! I dont think strapless dresses are particulary flattering on me so I love the style of this one :goodvibes

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/dfd78af3.jpg

A few bridal stores near me have it in stock - I checked with their website so I am going to try this on in a couple of months (want to do a couple of months of the pre wedding diet!).

I also think this one is cute from Debenhams

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/20071221_033010480985.jpg

I dont want to wear a tiara or veil on my wedding day so I am going for a pretty hairband instead - this is the on I :lovestruc LOVE:lovestruc - but at £180.00 - its a very very expensive hairband!

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/large_vintage_flower_on_band_large.jpg

I love these too - and have equally scary price tags!

Grand Floridian Cafe

This looks really cute and pretty - but maybe a bit too casual, and a bit too princessy for me - although if we went there we would get to have photos in the Grand Floridian lobby and Christmas gingerbread house! I think I am put of this one because Of Lynne's bad review on her wedding day :sad2:

The wave is definitely very classy looking! But because the GF looks so much like the Disneyland hote (our engagment hotel) it makes me have such a romantic softspot for it! (I wonder if it smells as good as its Parisian counterpart!)

But then I always think tapas makes for a lovely friendly dinner!

All good choices!!!!

Dessert Party

We werent going to have a dessert party - instead we were planning on hiring the Grand 1 for a wishes cruise, but I have started sneakilly looking at dessert parties .......

I dont think I can handle waiting until 90 days before the wedding to sort this out (what if I didnt get it - sob!!!!!), the cost for the Grand1 is quite expensive plus I wanted to add drinks and snacks on top, and if I am honest I just want to be closer to the fireworks :rotfl: , and we LOVE worldshowcase!

So after having discussed it with Henry weve decided to go for an illuminations dessert party :thumbsup2  :yay: not only will we all enjoy the cakes but it may save my sanity!

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/1de7ca80.jpg

We really like the petit classics menu, and were not planning on ordering alcohol - as everyone will have been drinking enough all afternoon!:rotfl:

In other news I read Carries (Lurkyloos) passporter guide today - and it was amazing, so helpful the pictures of all the dessert party locations are particularly helpful :thumbsup2

Which country are oyu going to go for? UK???

I think with Escape you get either UK or Morocco, I would be happy with either (actually make that any of them!), we love the Moroccan pavillion-and it would be a bit different so quite fancy that one :) .

You can custom make the dessert party menus too (I am sure you must be able to do this for wishes?) - we might do that, and try to keep it down to $30 or below per head :)

Disney Cruising

Im off work sick at the moment (I think I've got virus I keep on going hot and cold am really tired), so I have been plotting our disneymoon! We had already decided we wanted to go on disneycruise (Henry loves this idea!)

Weve been looking at the 4 night cruise on the Disney wonder on the 12th December. On the DCL website we were looking at a category 10 (deluxe inside stateroom). I am scared of heights so there is no point in getting a verandah!

The DCL webiste is coming out at $1,345 for both of us or £960 for both of us (at todays rubbish exchange rate!)

I've had dreams unlimited send me a quote for the same cruise - so it might be a little cheaper or have on board discounts.

So instead I start looking at Royal Carribean cruises (I had heard these were cheaper - and they are mega cheaper!!!) I can get a 4 night cruise on an Ocean view stateroom for £417!!!!!! So thats for a room that looks roughly the same size but with a huge window! That was not even the cheapest price you could get ones for only £200 (thy did have twin beds though not ideal for a honeymoon:lmao:!

Disney are charging crazy money! Might have to rethink the disney cruise idea, we might just stay at a deluxe for a week instead!:cloud9:

Just catching up, I to want to add a DP now (who cares about the credit crunch!)

I've got a Disney Cruise booked and they are very pricey but they get great reviews on here. If you book direct with Disney you can then transfer your booking to Dreams Unlimited and get the on board credit.

I know - I think it going to be disney cruise on no cruise at all. I know I would be wistfully looking at that disney cruise boat and wishing I was on it!:lmao: I saw a boat docked when we were in Mexico last year and Henry had to restrain me from trying to jump on board!

I:lovestruc the look of the dessert party. It would also save my sanity from waiting the 90 days for the Grand 1 - but I love your reception idea too!

You have enough time to plan for the disney cruise and save up - plus hopefully the rate gets better and you will be able to afford it. I got my fingers crossed for you and all the UK brides! hehe

I cant see it happening - the $2 to £1 was amazing but it was never going to last forever. I would be happy $1.60-$1.70. We need to get our economy going for this to happen!

Bargain Wedding Dresses!

I've just put a post on the main wedding board about this - Debenhams (big UK department store) is having a 25% sale on basically everything for the next 4 days, and for some reason some of the wedding dresses have 50% off!!!!!!

I went to try on a couple of the dresses a few weeks ago but they had none in - in fact they only had about 4 dresses out to try on! I debated about buying them online and returning them in store if I didnt like them but I would be spending £800 - about $1120 and seemed a lot of money to just try some dresses on!

But today with the 50% sale I have bought two for £400!

If they look horrible or dont fit I will just return them and at least I will know I have tried them on and I wont keep on looking for them!:lmao:
Here are the two I have bought:

Booked our disney cruise!!!!

I know its very early to book but I sought advcie from the disney cruise board who said its better to book early as the prices go gradually up?!

Even if we didnt get our exact date/time I know we would be going on this cruise as the one before/after are more expensive because of thanksgiving/Christmas.

We have booked a four night cruise in a category 9, and managed to get a room with a big porthole window. Its also in the middle of the boat (no seasickness for Henry!) a few cabin away from the stairs and lift, and according to the cabin reports for our room online is very quiet :yay: . Also have higlighted on our reservations that its our honeymoon - I wonder if we get any special surprises? I'm so so so excited disney cruises look ace! I've already ordered the disney cruise line guidebooks to get planning! :boat:

My debanhams wedding dresses still have not arrived :sad2: going to give them until tonight to arrive then I will phone them up - they were dispatched on Thursday!

I think I am going to have Patricia la Jeune do my make up - I really like the photos on here and I love how natural everyones hair looks (I am planning on wearing mine down with a slight wave). I want a trial during our holiday in October. I was thinking I might have it done one of the nights were going for a nice evening meal - either jiko or Artist Point - and then for once I will look half decent! Hehe!

Right I've taken some this morning - sorry for the bad quality but its impossible to take a good photo of yourself in the mirror!

Here is the first one - very pretty and I love the big bow (and would look a lot better when ironed) , I not convinced about the wavy top - I think its something that would date in the future? Lovely dress though

Here is the Ben de Lisi dress - as soon as I put it on I was "wow"! the petals are so pretty and there is beading all over the top and bottom which I cant pick up on the camera. The train is beautful too, the whole dress is very light and flowy (is that a word?) and perfect for our wedding in the Yacht Club Gazebo :goodvibes

I went to the wedding show on Saturday and it was fun - although scary lots of bridezellas!! It confirmed to me 110% that I am so happy we are going away, I never wanted the hassle of organising a big wedding, I think sometimes people lose the essence of what is important - I know thats a very deep thing to say :lmao: - but there were people trying to sell us rugs with our names on to celebrate of marriage!:rotfl:

There were some really good bargains there though - especially on dresses, if you know what suits you and and what you after you could easily get a dress with 50% off!:)

We had a look around all the stalls and watched the fashion show (that was great fun I loved watching that).

I also got Rev Jack Day's pack today so were going to go through his civil ceremonies, were after a non religious ceremony, but the words are really important to us so its something I really want to think about :) .

No its waaaaay to early for me to get anything - I dont want to get things and then change my mind later, there were lots of bargains to be had though if you knew what you wanted :goodvibes

I got load of flyers (and free sweets) with discounts which I'm keeping for future use!

I thought it was great fun (but slightly scary!), will probably go next year to get bits and pieces for our at home reception as there were lots of discounts on things :)

Oooh not updated this for a few days!

Our Disney cruise confirmation came in the post :boat: I was very excited - it looks like a letter that has been aged and from a shipwreck - how cool!

Weve found a couple of places for our at home reception, one of them is being refurbished right now (the one were most interested in), so were going to go and see it in the summer -sounds promising though especially if its been refurbished!

Apart from that I've not done much wedding planning - after th excitement of the dress it feels like far too early to do anything else (althought that may change next week!).

Only 10 days to go before I phone DFTW as we will be 18 months out :goodvibes

Hi  I dont think were going to have xmas themed decorations (especially as there are loads anyway at WDW), our at home reception will be in Jan and I want to keep to our colours of white, sage green and silver - silver is a bit Christmassy though?!

I keep looking for ideas to decorate the room - but its so early yet!

Hi - I know the feeling but keep looking online and gettin excited :rotfl: green and silver sound lovely, I don't know whether to go for purple and silver or traditional red and green (don't want it to be to predictable!) some more research I think...

Oh my god girl! you got a dress! its sooo nice. that overlay is really pretty- it looks so dainty and girly and pretty- i love it!!

its a good thing too that its one of those dresses that are easy to take in- that will save you ££'s - even though your figure looks perfect in those photos and it fits lovely!

when i get my dress- i dont know where i am going to keep it because i will want to put it on all the time - do you watch friends ----? if you do then you'll know what im taking about when i say ''chilling out in front of the tv in the dresses, doing the cleaning in the dresses' hahah!! that would so be me!!

Hi thanks for reading! Weve not decided where we are going to eat after the ceremony (thats partly what our Oct trip is for ). Were leaning towards The Wave, Kona Cafe or the Grand Floridian Cafe as they are easy to get to Epcot or MK to watch the fireworks or for the Grand1. My personal favourite is the Wave as it looks more our style and I love the Contemporary (big monorail fan!). Were not looking at signatures to keep the cost down - and after all the wedding cake plus dessert party later people wont be eating too much!

Yeah I understand every one is keeping hold of their money at the moment

:)

:thumbsup2 no point booking a photographer before I've spoken to DFTW - they might changes their packages! If I can get the all the photos on cd for free like the other Uk brides I will just stick with using disney photography as included in the Escape package I think.

Thats a great idea! Henry's cousin has just finished a photography degree at the Glasgow College of Art and she will be taking photos too - and shes free :rotfl: but I don't want to put pressure on her to be the only photographer - she is our guest after all!

I think I will phone next week - I just want to have an email contact to annoy with questions!

I have had a couple of bits of good news - it looks like DFTW have upgraded their plastic seating. I was all set on upgrading our seats to the white wooden ones as I didnt like the plastic ones - but Carrie (Lurkyloo) has confirmed they have changed the seats to folding ones instead - which photograph much better (see Irisbud's wedding). This will save us nearly $200!!

I have also found where we are going to have our wedding list. We want to have a charity list - partly because I think its a bit rude to expect gifts from family/friends who are going to have to travel to Florida for our wedding, to recognise family who sadly can't be there :sad1:, and to give something back (if that makes sense??).
Were hoping to us this site http://www.weddinglistgiving.com/ and have cancer research uk, epilepsy action, the alzheimers society and WWF as our chosen charities :goodvibes

Apologies if I disappear for the next week I have the most horrific week at work coming up and will be just coming home to sleep! It's Henry's birthday (26 :scared1:) this weekend so am arranging plans :goodvibes

Its waynes bday next month and for once, i am clueless what to get him! haha.

ooh yeah, you said your cousin is a photographer.. well, that is tooo good that she is and she is going to the wedding but, be really careful because if disney realise she may be standing in like a photographer they might stop it (i remember reading somewhere about it, where someone had a pro camera..) so yeah... that will be well good with her taking photos!!

Thansk Stacey :) I've only got two weeks left at work before were off for a week - I can't wait!!!

Thats why I'm tempted to just use DPS - get them to take photos as included in the escape package for the ceremony, and then have Merry (Henry's cousin) take photos the rest of the day. Fortunetly we love her style and it would be very personal - and free!

malibustacey
04-19-2009, 07:18 PM
ah well at least you'll have a week to rest!

Yeah that'd be a good idea with the DPS - you know, i looked through thier albums in Francks studio and i was wowed!! They was amazing and the actual album the photos were presented in were like old fashioned huge big books- proper fairy tale looking!!

If she is up for the photo taking, then i'd def take the opportunity to get those extra photos! :goodvibes

Right I'm back  nightmare week at work is over - not been a good week though. My credit card was stolen from work  and it was someone in the office due to the circumstances, I work in a huge open plan office - so I very much doubt I will ever find out who took it :sad2: . Fortunetly there were no payments on it.

It Henry's birthday on Monday so were going out for dinner tonight and I'm baking him a cake tomorrow (this could be a disaster!). I've adopted him a lion from born free for his birthday gift :goodvibes.

Also I love the look of the Sanaa restaurant in the new Animal Kingdom Villas (photos here http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2009/04/animal_kingdom_lodge_kidani_vi_2.html). Do you think african/indian food is too exotic for my wedding reception meal?

Actually I learned that the offical food of the UK is curry... I know right! I thought it would be a traditional "English/Brittish" dish like bangers and mash or shepards pie (my fave lol) but nope it's curry. Anyways, sorry off topic!

I love the Sanaa pics so far, I think the food looks super delicious, but I happen to love Indian and Middle Eastern food. Think of who your guests are and if they like that type of food before you choose :)

I am sorry to hear about you CC! That is terrible that a co-worked would do that! I had mine taken last year and it was such a pain! Hang in there girl:hug:

I am such a bad disney bride - I was intending to phone DFTW this week - never mind will do it in a week (there is no rush anyway!).

This evening me and Henry have been prancing around our living room and pretending to do our first dance - only problem is we keep making each other laugh - unfortunetly as we havent found "our song" for our first dance yet - we just keep acting waaay to silly!

I do know I want "Part of you world" from the little mermaid for when I walk up the aisle - its my favourite song, I was only 6 when it released so I was the perfect age, and the words make me cry - I will be in tears just walking up the aisle!

Weve been watching some sneak peaks on the STVS video site (love watching these some of them make me cry!) and both me and Henry are starting to get drawn to Sea Breeze Point now ...... I am so glad we have a trip booked for this year so we can look at both the Yacht club Gazebo and Sea Breeze Point in person and make our minds up in person :goodvibes

Were on holiday for a week now :woohoo: - were off on a freebie holiday to Whitby in North Yorkshire (it better not rain!) so will be updating once I get back and might put a few holidays photos on here :goodvibes

Looks like you had a wonderful holiday! The town looks absolutely charming! I have never looked into Gary Fox... I guess I'm off to research him now!

Ohh your holiday looks amazing! What a great looking town, so pretty with the cliffs by the sea! Makes me want to go right now:rolleyes:, if only it were that easy though right lol!

I have heard really yummy reviews of Tutto Italia btw, it is on my list of places to try soon too (although since joing the Dis that list has tripled in size lol).

I looked into Gary Fox too, his prices look very reasonable. The only thing that made me go with Misty over Fox was that I saw a so-so review of him on here:confused3... I will try and figure out where I saw it... but I went with Misty instead. HTH

Lovely holiday snaps. Have you tried a pros and cons list?

I have but I'm going to wait until we have tried them first - I think all my choices may change!

I so that so-so review I think it was a DISer who had booked him at the last minute? I have been emailing him back and forth and he has been really nice and helpful - I think we might meet up with him and Randy on our trip in October.

Just a quickie update!

My passporter Cruise book arrived today I have been waiting for this for months (literally months I ordered it from Amazon in March :scared1:). Its really thick - and I figure its never to early to plan your disneymoon?:rotfl:

Also some more exciting news!!! I am up to 18 guests :woohoo: Yvonne who is South Korean and one of my housemates at uni (who now lives in Washington DC) is coming!!! I am super excited as I've not seen her for two years. Me, Yvonne and Amy (my bridesmaid) lived together so it will be a great uni girls reunion :goodvibes Its really hard to see Yvonne as shes always moving all the world and shes super excited we are getting married in the US so its easy for her to come

Apologies I have disapeared - I havent done anything to do with the wedding I'm afraid!

But I just phoned DFTW :cheer2::cheer2: the lady on the phone was super nice - and best of all she understood my accent :thumbsup2

She kept on asking if I had any specific questions - I don't really!! I thought in hindsight I should make some up haha!

I told her we would like a dessert party - so she noted that down - can't wait for them to call me back!

I'm also going to book Randy now as Adelia has booked Misty - and she is getting married two days before me - so now I don't feel like its too early hehe! I just wish DFTW would let you use the photopackage against something else like they used too.

I also need to contact Patricia La Jeune regarding a hair and make up trial this October as part of our WDW trip. I've never had professional make up done before so I think by having a trial I will be a bit more relaxed on the big day! I am a bit unsure about what day to have it on though - maybe a day when we are going for a nice dinner - so I can look half decent for once?:rotfl:

She said a couple of days - I still don't know what time to go for - I am now thinking 10am - then have lunch, get changed got Epcot for the afternoon and have the dessert party. I am worried if we try and do it in an afternoon it will be far too much food!

Hmmmm hair and make up...

Now I am in contact with Patricia La Jeune I've started to think more about my hair. Since the beginning I've always wanted to wear a pretty hairband in art deco style to match my engagement ring :thumbsup2

These are the current contenders (can you tell I have a slight addiction to a certain site :rotfl: I love all their pieces and they are made from real vintage jewellery :goodvibes:

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/vhh0053_vintage_diamante_headband.jpg

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/vhh035_vintage_deco_headband.jpg

The only problem is they nearly all cost as much as my dress :scared1: but I have convinced myself my dress was a bargain and since I am not wearing a veil I can get away with it :rotfl:

I am not going to buy one yet as they keep updating the site with hairbands I love even more

I hadnt seen any photos of how I could wear my hair with such a hairband until I bought ok magazine a couple of weeks ago ..... I apologise for my magazine taste in advance and I am not a Westlife fan (awful Irish pop group that I doubt have ever made it in the US!) but one of them got married and his wife had the most perfect hair which I want to copy (Just need to grow it a bit more!). I love the look of their wedding laid back but really pretty :cloud9: So I think I am going to show Patricia these photos and hope she can do something similar - I have some dressy hairbands that I can take with me to use as a prop :goodvibes
