Hi! I just read through your PJ, and I love your ideas! I really, really like the embellished headbands. Im very into headbands so I'm kind of drawn to this idea myself! Not sure if I lean more toward that or fresh flowers though. At the moment I'm still throwing around lots of ideas.

I think all of the ones you've posted here are gorgeous! I'd give a big :thumbsup2 to any one of them!

they are one offs .... I just worry I see so many I like I would see something else I would prefer later - and they are very expensive about £200 each :scared1:

The headbands are lovely Gemma! I love the old Hollywood vintage feel of them :) They'll look great on you!

Well done on getting into contact with Patricia Le Jeune :) That's something on my to-do list! I wish I'd made a trial appointment with her for this trip, but it's been so last minute, low budget, that I didn't think she or we'd have the time or the funds to do it. Never mind, I'll have my trial a couple of days before the wedding

I love Jodi Albert's hair there, and I have to admit, I am a Westlife fan! Well, I was a couple of years ago...

Bad News

Hi my Grandad died earlier today, he has been sick for a long time and in hospital for the last 6 months. He died peacefully in his sleep with my mum and Grandma there. Apologies if I am not around the next few days but I am sure you understand we have the funeral to sort out and I am going to go and stay with my Grandma for a few days as she is on her own. Its just really hard as my brother is in South Korea for a year teaching English, and feels really guilty about not being here, I had to tell him by email as I couldnt get ahold of him on his phone so that was really hard.

DFTW phoned me today but obviously I didnt want to talk to them! I am in London this weekend - seeing Britney  so I've got that to look forward to :) will try and catch up later in the week.

Sorry for my ramblings!

Hey Gem

Sorry about my Grandad, my Grandad died last Nov in his sleep. They will be partying hard in heaven together now! My thoughts are with you hun, i totally understand what it is like (i was very close to my grandad, i lived next door to them) and i stayed with my nan for a few nights and so did other people in my family. Big hugs for you. xxx

I live like 5 mins away from the O2 (i can see it out my bedroom window and it takes like 5mins to get there!) so if you wanna meet up for a drinkles, let me know, but have a great time at the concert anyways hun (my neighbour is going too!!) and take care of yourself

I'm really sorry to hear about your granddad Gemma :( both my granddads died last year within 8 months of each other, one after a long illness and one very suddenly. It was very hard, and I was especially close to my sick granddad. It's cheesy and it may not seem like it now, but time really is a healer and in a while you'll be able to look back on the memories and smile rather than seem sad xxx

Thanks guys - I don't really want to get into it on here but he has been sick for a long time and I'm glad his pain is over - its been really hard on my mum and Grandma particulary. I hate being melodramatic!

I love my wii fit - you get more exercises to play with the more you do so it keeps you going. There are more games you can use the board too - so I'm thinking about getting some of them too - I've heard good things about another fitness one.

I just play the same games over and over - hula hooping (love it!), boxing, jogging and step aerobics - because they make me sweat!:lmao:

that Hard Rock cafe is great -but the waitresses when i was in there were in teeny weeny white dresses and i thought come on, this is hard rock cafe, not hooters! hehe - their burgers are just lush!

The london dungeons are great, when me and wayne first met, we met outside the London dungeons! (how strange, meeting someone for the first time at the london dungeons!) and then we had two dates that day, the first, i took him on a date to the dungeons (we had a little kiss in there and one of the actors was saying it was forbidden 'in these ages of the black death and we started the famine that is was' hahaha!!) and then we went to leciester sq and wayne took me on his date!

next time your down in london we can do the dungeons together! hehehe

We both enjoy non Disney holidays too, well Darren (my boyfriend) doesn't know if he enjoys disney holidays yet (he reckons spending a couple of weeks with Mickey mouse will be like torture ). As much as i love Disney it is nice to go and experiance other places too :)
As i chose this years destination(s) Darren gets to choose next years nd theres no way it will include Disney, which is why i won't be back in Disneyworld till 2011 and i havent been since 2005 :sad1: but im so excited for Disneyland California this year so it isn't all that bad.
The work they are doing at Disneyland Cali is all due to be finished by 2012 so if you do go in 2013 it will all be done and the little mermaid ride will be open :)

Changes in Make up Trial........

Well I had booked Patricia La Jeune for our upcoming trip in October, but I've cancelled it..... I love Patricia's work but I have found communication with her really difficult. The emails are littered with mistakes (to the point where they dont make sense) and they keep getting confused over when I am having my trial and where I am staying  It's scared me! I think she is just too busy to be honest - when I tried to book she only had 1 free slot in two weeks.

So I'm booking Beaute Special instead - they got back to me straight away and sent a contract, and they available for a more convienient time for me.

I feel really bad ... but I didnt want to be stressing that Patricia wouldnt turn up or something so I have just gone with my gut instinct and changed it - I still love her work though :).

:) Glad your in agreement - I was worried I was being a bit harsh!

Hopefully Victoria she won't be too busy when its your turn - its partly my fault for leaving it late organising the trial anyway!

I love Beaute Special's work on the wedding boards so I am sure it will work out great :)

I've got Beaute Special booked now - they so nice and easy to work with :thumbsup2

Also playing phone tag with Kristy at DFTW - will try and physically chat to her this week.

Now while searching for vintage hair bands (again!) honestly I think have an addiction....I got my dress so easily but I am obsessed with the jewellery side of things! I have come across this amazing hairband - its one of a kind vintage .... I think I may have to get it, what do you guys think???

http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/qq304/gemmybear83/rtw07.jpg

I've been looking at wedding bands too. I don't want a matching band - due to the size/shape of my engagement ring it would look really weird without my engagement ring! I don't even want diamonds :scared1: and I may swap my engagement ring to my other hand once I am married and just wearing my wedding ring on that finger (mostly because I am awkward but also because I have a job wear I use my hands and having a big rock on my finger sometimes doesnt work :rotfl:). Also if we have kids I may stab them with my engagement ring and get all sorts of "yuck" stuck between the diamonds I want a practical wedding ring :thumbsup2

This is how my engagement ring looks now (I hate how you never get the sparkle in photos!)

I'm disappointed to hear about the communication trouble you had with Patricia:sad2: I think she recently gained a lot of popularity from the boards and probably is still learning to deal with the increase in business;)... I love her work as well but you have to go with who you feel comfortable with- Beaute Special does great work too and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I like the most recent hair bands you posted but think I love the ones you had posted previously more:lovestruc I can't wait to see which one you end up with after all this- it's going to look stunning whichever one you choose- I love the hair band idea- totally glam. hi!!!! Thanks for visiting! I know we are so excited to be there for Christmas season. We caught the end of it when we there last Jan and it was amazing!!

Glad you all liked the hairband - I've emailed the website to just check it is all silver, as to me it looks like one of the flowers is a bit of a different colour - but hopefully that is just my eyesight.

I won't reveal how much the hairband is.....but its really silver with pearls.....and it costs as much as my dress :scared1: I figure that as I am not wearing a veil - if I was with a normal tiara it would probably add up to the same value though :thumbsup2

Ah, what is cost but a number!!:rotfl: The way I look at it is that your wedding has to be perfect, and you'll only do it one (or at least I hope I will!), so even if a few bits and pieces are really expensive you're allowed, and it's completely worth it!!

Ok, 3 things...

1) Beaute Speciale is awesome, you will not regret it, Ana is amazing at what she does, and I loved my makeup from her. I bet you will too :goodvibes
Make up is not something you want to be stressing over on your wedding day, thats for sure!

2) Buy the headband now.

3) Love the rings, I like all the pretty patterns, it gives it much more custom feel ya know? Good call Gem!

Awww thanks Sam!! Some sad news though....the hairband sold is sold , they told me it has a bronze tinge to it though (which I dont want!) so I'm not too upset :thumbsup2

I have accidently found our wedding cake topper though...well its not a topper its called "wedding jewellery"! You get all four pieces and I think it really fits in with our wedding theme :goodvibes

I think they put it on the cake table if you don't use it as a topper.

Ooooh, looove the 'cake jewellery' (how posh!!).

I originally thought it'd go way more with the swirly patterened cake, but then the silver mickeys will look ace with it too.

I think swirly is slightly more my preference though.

Oooooh how exciting! What flavours will you have?

Changes in Make up Trial........

So I'm booking Beaute Special instead - they got back to me straight away and sent a contract, and they available for a more convienient time for me.

We just did an engagement shoot and I had Ana come and do my makeup since the pricing was so reasonable, no travel fee or anything. I too had admired Patricia's work from pics I'd seen. But you know, I loved Ana! She did an awesome job with my makeup and I really didn't give her that much guidance but it looked awesome. So don't worry at all. It was also supereasy to set everything up with Beaute Speciale, they always got back to me really quickly and it was no problem to change the time when I had to. The only thing I've read is that you may want to request Ana as I think they have a few stylists, so you want to be sure to get her.

That cake Jewelery is neat. Love it! It looks like things are coming along nicely. The Mickey and Minnie topper will look cute on the table if that is what they do with it! Can't wait to read more.

So sorry the hair band was sold out, but glad you found out there was bronze on it before you spent all that money on it though... I can't wait to see your options from the new collection!:lovestruc I also love the cake jewelry! I agree that it will look better with the scrolls but don't think you could go wrong with either!

:) The swirl cake is our favourite too - it was our favourite before we knew what we wanted on top of the cake :goodvibes Were going to have chocolate chip flavoured cake on one tier and carrot cake on the other.....but we may change our mind on the carrot cake!

I love the scrolls cake more too! I am still continuing my hunt for the perfect hair band!

Also...... I have Randy Chapman booked for our wedding day! :woohoo::woohoo: Finally got the details to him :banana: So excited and he sent me such a sweet email - he has offered to meet up with us on trip this October to discuss our plans, do you think we need to? Were only having 3 hours of photography for the ceremony and some photos afterwards. We might use DPS for the dessert party.....or ask Merry (Henry's cousin who has just finished a photography degree and a wedding photography course :thumbsup2) to take some as we can't use Randy in Epcot :sad1:

Since were now thinking about a 10am ceremony...then lunch....then dessert party I thought it was better to go for a lighter cake. Lynn had custom chocolate chip - I have pinched this from her but it sounds so yummy! We both dont like traditional wedding cake

I don't like fruit cake either! Yuck!

Chocolate chip could be very light and nice - like a muffin!

Good news on having Randy all booked to! And Ana! I think if Randy is keen to meet up then maybe do it and have a chat, can't hurt.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost of your make up trial? I'm tempted to do it before our engagement shoot as I'm stressing over what I'm going to look like in the photos!

I think if you meet Randy before hand and discuss what you want you won't need to do that on the day.

Wow, I feel so behind for my Dec. 2010 wedding! Everything you have picked out so far is beautiful!

Congrats on booking Randy, I also just boked him too. My family thought I was nuts for doing it that early but he already had 8 wedding booked in Dec of 2010 so I needed to do it as soon as possible.

Not posted on this for soooooo long! Sorry! Not had chance to do any wedding planning been too busy! Am laid up with swine flu at the moment so doing loads of DISing though and getting hyper over our upcoming trip! Can't wait to go and see the Yacht Club Gazebo for the first time!:lovestruc

Henry really surprised me today he had been discussing our wedding at work and they were asking him the boring "are you having Mickey at the wedding?" question :rolleyes2 Honestly can people not think of anything more original??!

We had both been rather anti character for the wedding and Henry comes home out the of the blue and says maybe we should? We would have cool photos and it would be really fun! He doesn't wan't Mickey - Henry is not a Mickey fan :scared1: How I do not know?!! He wanted Pooh but I sadly explained you can't have Winnie the Pooh characters :sad2:

We both agreed Donald would be fab, or Buzz Lightyear :yay: (although I am not sure how he goes with a wedding :rotfl:).....but my favourite is Figment!!!! It would be soo cool to have Figment at our wedding, do you think we could? I don't think you can meet him in Epcot anymore we did in Jan 08? Plus my Dad LOVES Figment!

Sadly you can't anymore :sad2: His ride is still there though (no dreamfinder though  (I won't get into the tragic story......)

The other ideas are Marie from the Aristocats, Dopey (ace!) or Ariel (but I'm afraid she would look better than me :lmao:)

I would LOVED to have had Marie. Does she greet at WDW? I know she's wildly popular in DLP. I was going nuts in all the shops with the Marie merchandise. Luckily I have a 3 year old niece who is kitty-crazy, so I could buy the stuff with an excuse that it's for her!
