My DH went to Disney World as a Teen back in the 80's. I had never been to Disney World but I had been to Disneyland when I was 9 but I can't remember alot about it. I just remember the Submarine Ride and Space Mountain (which really scared me!) Sorry I have no pics of either event, but I really wish I did. :thumbsup2
We had never really been on a vacation as an adults and had never spent so much money on a vacation for that matter.
In 2005, DH suggested we take the family to Disney World on a Vacation. I was freaking out and thought he was nuts. Are you Crazy, spend that much on a vacation?
The most we had spent was a trip to Kings Island in Ohio that lasted 2 days in a Spring Hill Suite.
So I started to look into a Disney Vacation. We decided on June 12-19, 2006 Trip because that would be most acceptable time for our family. The DS & DD would be out of school and DD who was in Dance at the time could attend her dance recital.
We first booked the POP but decide to upgrade to POR.
It was a lot of planning but it was fun planning, We started reading the DIS and All Ears, along with DisneyWorld.com
We planned, We packed and made ADR's! We had a park hopper, water parks and more, and the Dining Plan.
It was DD, DS, and my first plane ride that I remember (went to Germany when I was a baby - Military Brat!). DH flies all the time because of his line of work. I must confess, I was scared! but excited!
So off we went on the plane and I knew I had a bit of motion sickness  . I often get sick if I ride in the back seat of a car. I have to be in the front. It has been that way since I was a kid.
I had no clue when I got on that plane how sick I would truly be!
I sat by my DD (miss high maintence) big mistake! #1
Big mistake! #2 - assuming I could ride on the plane and look out the window :scared1:
Big Mistake! #3 - not packing a motion sickness medication! :sad2:
This was also when a Tropical Storm Alberto was moving through Florida.
So I am sick on almost the entire plane ride. It began when I decided to look out the window to see how small the city looked from the air! I instantly felt dizzy! :scared: I thought (Oh No! maybe it won't be so bad I can make it) No! NO! NO! Nausea, cold air blowing in my face, deep breathing. Nothing worked!
In the meantime, MISS HIGH MAINTENCE wants everything out of her bag to play with and will not leave me alone! I finally have to confess to DH that I am sick and could he please take MHM and give me Sweet DS, who is playing the DS that is surgically attached to his hand quietly. The kids switch places. I can hear MHM asking what is wrong with Mommy, why can't I sit with her! But I can't handle her because I feel as if I am going to spill the beans so to speak! DS says, Mom just do not throw up on me! I nod, and keep breathing and keep my eyes closed with the cool air blowing in my face.
Here is where the tropical storm comes into play. The pilot announces we will begin our descent and the air sickness gets worse because of the rain and wind and the plane moving a bit :scared1: So I really feel like I am going to heave. I grab the paper bag and start breathing into it. I am sure the other people around me were freaking out! But I did not care! I just wanted to get off the plane so the nightmare would end!
Luckily, I did not throw up! We got off the plane and I was automatically started thinking about the plane ride home! What was I going to do?
DH & I looked in every gift shop for the next 4 days trying to find motion sickness medication. Well, DH finally asked the Concierge Desk and a local pharmacy was kind enough to deliver some to POR for $12.00 but it was worth every penny on the ride home.
I find this funny now (my sick sense of humor) but at the time, I was miserable.
SORRY! I know I just went a little crazy but you will find I am like this. I hope you can follow my crazyness! :lmao:
Anyhoo, We ended up at The World, Fell in LOVE! Cried when I seen the castle for the first time and Cried When I had to leave!
I have more interesting stories of our adventures.
More of our Disney History To come!

Here is a photo of DS & DD with Minnie Mouse at Chef Mickey's Breakfast on Friday 06/16/2006 - We had a wonderful time at this breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the characters and twirling their napkins in the air, DH & I also enjoyed this act. We are two very big kids. The food was good, there was something for everyone.

Here is a copy of my plan from The Previous Trip and my added commments- Monday 6/12 - Monday 6/19/2006
6/12/2006 – Monday – Day 1
Travel/Arrival Day Off to the Magic Kingdom
Tropical Storm Alberto Day #1
It was very windy this day and there was a down pour that lasted all day. We did not care we went to MK and had a wonderful time splashing through water that was ankle deep on Main Street. We rode a few rides and then went back to POR.
6/13/2006 – Tuesday – Day 2
Magic Kingdom
Cinderella Breakfast – 8:05am ADR
We had a wonderful time at Cinderella's Royal Table for Breakfast. DD got to see the princesses. It was wonderful.
Tropical Storm Alberto Day #2 - It started off warm this day but continues to rain, it got pretty bad and began to get cold. We left early this day and headed to Boardwalk for a while and back to POR.

We were the first family to breakfast at Cinderella's that day and announced we were first by our family name. It was really neat we got to look around for a few minutes before everyone else started to show up and got a great window seat.

I Love this photo of DD coming down the slide, she is having so much fun.
We had a 6pm ADR at Sci-Fi that evening - Then went to Fantasmic DS got sick in the middle of the night, House keeping was wonderful came to clean up and change sheets and the next day they cleaned the Carpets and Bathroom very well. We are still not sure if DS caught a bug or if it was a combination of Heat and too much greasy food.
Continued Later.....:cheer2:

Ok, I know I am reminiscing about our 2006 vacation and this pre-trip report has almost turned into Trip Report for our 2006 Vacation, but I can't help it. I just loved that trip and I am completely addicted to WDW. :dance3:
Moving Forward with our Disney History!
6/15/2006 – Thursday – Day 4
This day we were to check out Typhoon Lagoon but since DS was not feeling well, DH stayed with him at POR. DD and I went to Animal Kingdom, It was fun. We went on the Kilimanjaro Safaris Ride and Walked the Pangani Forest Trail. The Plan was that I would spend half the day at Animal Kingdom with DD and then come back to POR, switch places with DH and then he could return to AK with DD and have fun. DH was way too excited! He took poor pale looking DS out of room and ended up at AK. So, needless to say, our day was cut short, we went back to POR and swam a bit and missed the rest of AK. AK is a must do for our upcoming May/June 2008 Trip.

6/16/2006 – Friday – Day 5
Epcot was the plan for this day, I have to say I know we went to Epcot. I am just not sure we made it on this day. We missed a lot of Epcot. I rode Test Track but the rest of the family did not. We missed all the other rides in Future World and the World Showcase. We did visit all the countries in World Showcase except for France and Mexico. When I read Trip Reports, I am amazed at how many things we actually missed at Epcot. So I have put together a better plan for Epcot for the May/June 2008 Trip.
This is the day we had breakfast at Chef Mickey’s (8am ADR) - I mentioned this in an earlier post :thumbsup2
6/17/2006 – Saturday – Day 6
We went to the Magic Kingdom on this day. It had rained us out the first 2 days so we had to make our way back. We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (6:05pm ADR) We really love this meal and I will never forget Chip & Dale and their antics. They were so funny.

Dale with DS & DD
We stayed for Spectro Magic and Wishes this night. I grabbed a wonderful up front spot out side of Tomorrowland. It was great until, I decided to be nice. There were a bunch of people behind us and there were like 4 children around 5 to 11, so being the person I am, I offered for their CHILDREN ONLY to sit with mine and watch Spectro Magic. Well, it ended up that I was pushed to the back and my feet hurt so bad, I wanted to sit down, and one of the Moms Moved up with her kids, and I had to stand. I was so mad:mad: . So I will never be nice at another Disney Parade ever again!!! (I say as I stomp my foot and cross my arms)
After Wishes, sweet adorable DD (MHM and Heck on wheels) decided to have a break down because she was tired. There were so many people after Wishes we knew we could not get on the bus to POR for ages. So we walked through the shops on Main Street. I gave the children a limit on how many things they could buy as prizes each day and DD had already reached her limit. She found this bag that you could use markers and color the princesses in. She had already reached her limit, I said lets keep going. This works, if she is not tired and exhausted from being at WDW for almost a week and it is late. She threw the biggest screaming :scared1: , stomping  , crying :scared: fit I have ever seen come out of her in my life! She was scratching us, it was terrible. Normally, I can take her somewhere and get her out of the mess but I couldn't there were wall to wall people, our only transportation was by Disney bus, so we had security watching us, we probably scared a few young couples from ever having children, and we had the parents who knew! laughing! :lmao: I finally took to bathroom and lets just say her butt was hurting but she stopped the scene!
So if anyone was at the Magic Kingdom on June 17, 2006 and seen this, YUP! It was US! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
6/18/2006 – Sunday – Day 7
We went to Typhoon Lagoon this day. It was fun but I was really tired by this time. So I let DD play in Ketchakiddee Creek and DS just wanted to play in the Wave Pool. I did not want to get wet but DH said, Your at Disney World enjoy yourself. So I did get in to the Wave Pool with DS and we did the Family Raft Ride - Gangplank Falls. I needed a nap! We left TL after lunch and went back to POR and cleaned up.
We had dinner at 50’s Prime Time Café (MGM) at 6:05pm - This restaurant was ok but we did not get the MOM experience here.
6/19/2006 – Monday – Day 8
Our very last day we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace 8:05am ADR. It was wonderful but I could not stop crying :sad1: . I did not want to leave. I remember we were by the Castle, the kids were arguing :confused3, I was trying to get one last Photo by the castle. DS & DD were just tired. So DD and I went to ride Dumbo our first time this trip.

I have made our ADR's. We made them 180 days plus 10 days out. We got every time and restaurant that we asked for, which was great.
Here are The Dining Choices we would like to try:
Cosmic Ray’s and Casey’s Corner
Beaches and Cream
Le Cellier
Harambe Fruit Market and Kusafiri Bakery
Flaming Tree BBQ
Boma
Lottawatta Lodge - We will be at Blizzard Beach
Whispering Canyon Café - We want to try
Breakfast at Polynesian: Captain Jacks - Try Tonga Toast
Pinocchio Village Haus - Try Figaro Fries
Liberty Tree Tavern - Ate here in 2006 and want to go back!
Typhoon Tilly’s - We will be at Typhoon Lagoon
Chef Mickey’s - Had breakfast here but would like to try Dinner
Breakfast at Ohanas’ - Spend some time with Lilo and Stitch
Cape May Café
Toy Story Pizza Plant
Catalina Eddies/Toluca Turkey Legs
1900 Park Fare (Cinderella’s Gala Feast) - Really excited about trying this one.
Breakfast at Crystal Palace- this is our traditional last day breakfast.
I am sure we will eat at the Everything Pop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at some point.
Cantina de San Angel – Wet Burrito & Churro
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – Kringla Sweet Pretzel & Viking Coffee
Liberty Inn – Indoor Eatery
Boulangerie Patisserie – Pasteries
Yorkshire County Fish Shop – try the fish & chips
#When DH and I decided on places to eat this trip, several factors came into play. DH does not like seafood, but DS and I do, so we compromised and ended up with Cape May Café.
#We also wanted to try different restaurants than our last trip but return to a few of our favorites which is Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace.
#Try to eat more healthy options and more indoor eateries for DS since he got sick on the last trip. We were not sure if DS sickness was the heat, the food at Sci-fi, or a virus. We have also included Children's Pepto Chewable Tables on this trip. The Indoor Eateries are to get out of the heat more often and rest for a few.
#What foods and restaurants do we want to sample on this trip. We had a larger list but the above won!
#Boma is my choice, If DH, DS, & DD can't find something to eat here, they are not going to be happy, DH is a foodie, do not mess with his food. I am hoping they can find foods they like or just eat off the Children's Buffet only. :thumbsup2
#We would also like to do a dining review. So we are going to take pictures and carry a small notebook in our park bag.

We really wanted to stay at Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge but in order to return to the World at Thanksgiving, we have to be a little more budget minded and decided on POP Century Resort.
We also made ADR's at some of the Resorts we would like to stay at in the future. This is a nice way to check out the Resorts and the different themes.
So here it goes:
Disney's POP Century Resort from 5/30 - 6/8/2008
10 days and 9 nights, Park Hopper & Water Parks and More, and The Disney Dining Plan
I wanted to stay at POP during our 2006 Trip but DH wanted to try POR, so I agreed.
Here are some photos of POR that we took during our June 2006 Trip some are out of focus a bit:

We have 2 Furbabies. One Ancient Black Girl Cat, Her name is Jewels and Our Golden Retriever (Blondies Golden Honey Bear) or Honey as she is known around our Palace.
Honey (dog) is staying at the Kennel and Jewels (cat) is going to stay here at home, My Mother is going to stop by everyday for the cat's needs.
Lets see some Photos:
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/IMG_0291.jpg
Here is Jewels the Cat, poor thing, she is just plain old, she is running over the cat hill at 14. I got the cat before DH and I were married. She is scared of our kids and keeps to herself in our room. She leads a very sheltered life.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/IMG_0297.jpg
Here is our Honey Bear! She is our baby and my walking buddy. She is 5 years old. She is a wonderful pet and member of the family.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Honey-Mud.jpg
Here is Honey after she played in the mud. She was around a year old to 18 months.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/puppy17.jpg
Here is Honey as a baby puppy around 5 weeks old.
She is so beautiful and such a big baby. The Kennel says she is way too serious. We agree. She thinks she is a 75 pound lap dog. We send her to the Groomers every 8 weeks because she is too big to bathe.

Fly To Walt Disney World
Arrive Orlando Airport around 10am and catch Magical Express. :moped:
Arrive at Pop Century between 11:30am and Noon, Check-In (room may not be ready) and Pick up our KTTW cards, have lunch at Everything Pop Dining ( I want to try the Steak Wrap and Kids want to try the Cheese Fries).
Then, Off to Magic Kingdom! pixiedust:
Note: It is our new family Tradition to visit the Magic Kingdom Park on the first day we arrive.
MK Park Hours: 9am – 11pm and there are Evening EMH that night.
Note: I have planned almost our entire trip so that we will not be at the parks that are scheduled to have extra magic hours.
First thing I want to do is find a Photo Pass Photographer, I want to try Photo Pass this time. In 2006, we only got one photo of our family and I feel Photo Pass will be a good way to achieve this. :thumbsup2
Below are the attractions we would like to get in on this day.
Mickey’s Philharmagic - This is one of our Favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom.
Pirates of the Caribbean - In 2006 this attraction was being updated
I do believe Dole Whips are in this area - We would like to try a Dole Whip!
Railroad (All the way around) - DD loves to ride railroad trains.
Tiki Room - We have not seen this attraction and would like to.
We think of attractions like this as a nice way to relax and sit for a while.
Liberty Square Riverboat - In 2006 this attraction was being refurbished. DD & DS are really excited about taking a boat ride.
Tom Sawyer Island
Monster Inc. Laugh Floor - New attractions for us! This was not open in 2006
Dream Along with Mickey - New Show for us! In 2006, it was Cinderellabration!
Dinner at Cosmic Ray’s and Casey’s Corner:
We would like to eat at Cosmic Ray's because it is an indoor eatery and we can get out of the heat and we are going to stop by Casey's Corner to get DD Corn Dog Nuggets because she will enjoy these!
Wishes Fireworks Show – 10pm
We are going to try to get Wishes in this night but I do not know if we will.
DH would also like to stay for the evening EMH on this night. I would like to try but I think DD & DS will be too tired. We will have to see.

We have a 7pm ADR at Le Cellier - a big part of our vacation experience is food. So we have looked at every menu and we basically know what we want to try at Le Cellier. So here goes:
DH will probably get the New York Strip Steak and the Campfire S'mores
DD will get the Kid's Hot Dog and an Ice Cream Sundae
DS (Adult menu because of DDP) will probably get the filet, chicken, or shrimp & scallops - he will definately get the Campfire S'mores

Get as many Photo Pass Photos as we can!
Here are the Attractions we would like to try and get in for the day:

Camp Minnie Mickey
Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Kali River Rapids - I want to wear a poncho on this ride! :rotfl:

Lunch at Flaming Tree BBQ - I really enjoyed lunch here in 2006, so I would like to return and they serve corn on the cob and hot dog for DD to eat.
Note: DD has a very limited diet - she is such a picky eater. She likes hot dogs, corn dogs, cereal, green beans, chocolate pudding, carrots dipped in ranch dressing, chocolate granola bars, corn, apples, peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly), goldfish or whales crackers, macaroni & cheese, pop tarts, chicken nuggets, ice cream, and cake. She will eat lunch meat like ham, turkey, and bologna. I hope I can get someone to make a peanutbutter sandwich w/o the jelly at The World! :scared1:
We have ADR for Boma at 8:10pm so we are going to leave AK at 6pm and head over to AKL to do some exploring before dinner. We want to check out the AKL for future stays at WDW. ;) Boma is my idea, DH & DD are picky eaters, when I looked at the menu it looked like there were selections they would enjoy.
Next Up Day 4 ..... will have to be for later!

Hollywood Studios Hours: 9am – 9pm
DH really wants to attend Star Wars Weekend with DS and I am not sure if I want to attend a Star Wars Weekend. So I am toying with the idea of DD and I going to Epcot, if I have not seen all of the World Showcase by this time. This is one of my goals for this vacation.
Park: Epcot World Showcase
Epcot Hours:
Future World: 9am – 7pm
World Showcase: 11am – 9pm
We are going to let this day play out. We know what we want to do but we are not really sure about anything. We may be so tired we just decide to swim all day. We may go visit a few resorts or do some shopping at DTD.

Day 10, Sunday, June 8, 2008
Departure Day (Say goodbye to Magic Kingdom) :sad1:
Park: Magic Kingdom
MK Hours: 9am – 11pm
We have an ADR for breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8am. We had breakfast at Crystal Palace on our last day of our WDW trip in 2006. So we decided this would be our new tradition when leaving Disney World :sad1:
We also ride Dumbo on the last day.
We plan to eat lunch in Park on the last day. I also want to make sure I have plenty of snacks for the plane ride. Last time we had a connecting flight that was late and we did not have time to eat dinner on the way home. The airport was so busy and the lines were huge. I went to the shortest line (an Ice Cream place) and bought 4 bags of cheetos for the kids for dinner. We were starving by the time we got home. So this time we do have a direct flight (we had a direct flight last time also but they changed it on us, and we had no other choice but a connecting flight, but that is another story) and hopefully, we will not have problems and I will have plenty of disney snacks to eat on the way home.
Then back to the resort to catch Magical Express to Orlando Airport. We have an early evening flight back home.
This is a sad day for me, I do not want to leave. I am sure I will feel the same way again. I remember DH felt the same way and the kids were tired and kept arguing. It was great and I will never forget it! :lmao:

I almost forgot to tell you about the Deal we got at Kohl's on Saturday.
DS needed new shoes, so we decided to go shopping. We found some the likes at Dick's Sporting Goods. So then we decided to go look for Luggage. We already have a set that includes 29", and two smaller pieces.
We decided to have more room and buy two more 29" luggage pieces. We went to several stores. We ended up at Kohl's and they had a deal we could not refuse. We bought 4 more, Yes!, 4 more 28" luggage pieces that expand for $20 a piece, Yes!, You go that right! $20 a piece. The were originally $79.99 a piece. What a deal. We decided to not be picky and just get them. They also completely unzip to store flat. What a great deal! So we now have 5 large suitcases, I really think we only needed 4 one for each of us and that would make room for souvniers but DH insisted we need that 4th one. So now we are officially the Crazy Luggage People! :scared:

Talking about luggage. We picked up a set a BJ's Wholesale.
Its a 5-piece set 3 pullman style w/4 swivel wheels. I think their 29, 25 and 21 inch. Along with a small tote and a bag (like a medium size gym bag). We got this set for $99.99 the brand is Lanesboro.

Sorry, I have not posted in a while but life kind of happened and interrupted my Disney Trip Planning! Not Fair!
#1 - Anyway, We bought a new 2008 Chrysler Town & Country - I am really enjoying this van. It is the best ever! I just wish it had the additional seat in the back like the Honda Odyssey Van, but other thank that I am in love  We use to have a 2000 Ford Windstar Van, It was a lemon, It only had 56,000 miles on it when we traded it in for the Town & Country. We had the worst trouble with it. I am so glad they do not make these anymore. I should be more loyal to Ford. My Grandfather, and both Uncles worked for Ford for years but when you buy a lemon and pay that much money for it, You really do not want to buy another one.
#2- Life happens, this is a sad life happens for me. My 77 year old grandmother is dying of Stage 4 Terminal Cancer. She was diagnosed a few weeks back. I have been visiting her. She lives about 40 minutes away from us. The cancer is in her liver, intestines, and everything else in that area. She is in a lot of pain and her tummy is swollen huge. She can still understand everyone but of course has almost 0 mobility and is being taken care of by her daughter (my aunt). Her husband, my grandfather passed away about 6 years ago. She also have diabetes & heart issues. I have been praying everyday for her and my family. So please, keep us in your prayers. They only expect her to live possibly 6 months. So sad! :sad1:
My mother, her daughter, is going to Disney World with us. We are kind of nervous about her passing away while we are gone but we have decided to go ahead with our trip.

On with our Pre-Trip report.
We have bought everything we need to go with us. Clothing, medicines, and so much more.
DH had been freaking out on me a bit about my packing. He thinks all my medicines and things weight 100 pounds and there is a 50 pound weight limit on each of our suitcases and that our clothing and return souvniers will not fit anymore! Whatever! ;) Get over it.
So we have our spending money in order. Our beautiful Honey Bear (Dog) has been confirmed at the kennel and our Friend is taking care of our grouchy old Cat, Jewels.
I still have to get 2 rolls of quarters and some pennies for the penny press machines and possible laundry washing and drying.
I would like to pack right now but I think DH would freak out on me. So I will have to control myself until May 15th, but that may not happen. Anyhoo :rolleyes1 I know we leave on May 30th. No big deal! :lmao:
So my Birthday is this weekend but I still have to be a mom, so I will be cleaning the house and going to On The Border for Dinner. I am really excited about On The Border but not cleaning the house.
On Mother's Day, the kids and I plant flowers but this year we are going to hold off until we get back from WDW. The flowers will die while we are gone to WDW because we have no one to water them everyday. So I think instead and if it is nice, I will take the kids to the Zoo and have something on the Grill, maybe steak or chicken.

So sad! :sad1:
 You and your lovely family are in my prayers.
Happy early birthday! There should be none of this :laundy: on a birthday!!!

So I decided to do a mock packing session and what do you know. 10 days worth of clothing, shorts, pajamas, shoes, bathing suits, and more. Will fit into our 4 - 28" suitcases but we have not room for the extra stuff we plan to buy. So we will be taking an extra suitcase. Poor DH, he was right and I was being a mean wife. Sorry Honey! ;)
Our airline is making the only one bag per person rule effective May 15, so we will be paying for the extra bag.
So I am so excited and I would love to pack for Disney World and leave today. I can hardly control myself but as it is we are living out of the suitcases that I still have not unpacked from the mock packing. DS is like, Mom, are my shorts still in the suitcase? and I am like, Yes, just get them out and wear them. He keeps looking at me like I am nuts but has not said I am nuts as of yet! Poor Kid
So I am thinking of all the things I can buy at the World. I want beach towels, Dress for DD, Something for DS that is Star Wars. All the cute little purses, necklaces, and more for DD. Shopping! The refrigerator magnets that will find a home. We love refrigerator magnets! My 12 year old niece wants a Disney bag and since her sister the 5 year old will be with us, I want to buy her something.
The ADR's we have with all the wonderful meals and snacks, we are really looking forward to.
Just being at Disney World.
We can't Wait! 23 Days to go!!!!!

Hi Everyone, I have finally got around to posting my trip report from our May/June 2008 Trip to the world.
Here is a review of the Cast:
DH - My Loving Husband for the last 12 years, He is an awesome Husband and Dad. He is a Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Mickey Fan! and a certified Star Wars and Indiana Jones Junkie! He is also an ESPN Junkie, He watches PTI everyday and enjoys Mike & Mike in the morning. He is also a POPCORN Lover popcorn:: DH would like me to add that he is also a DISer (ssmerdel) is his title on the boards.
Me - I am a coffee lover and I love to play on line and read books - along with Trip Reports here on the DIS.
I am a Mickey & Minne Fan! I also love all the Princess. I really feel for Donald, I think he is highly misunderstood!
DS (11) He was a great first baby and The Best Kid Ever! He has a Nintendo DS surgically attached to his left hand and the Wii Game System attached to his utility belt! He has been a Pokemon Fan since he was 2. He also likes Star Wars and Stitch.
DD (6) - She is my Princess! If I would have gave birth to her first, I probably would have had no other children. She was a good baby but girls are really interesting to raise. She is my baby girl love, do not get me wrong but she is heck on wheels! It is the only way to describe her! She is a little girl, there is not an inch of tomboy in this child. She loves gymnastics and it a certified princess. I call her princess peach! Her favorite Princess is Aurora! She is actually my dream daughter/doll! We get to play dress up! She also has began to have an attachment to Minnie ever since playhouse disney started to air, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We often watch this cartoon as a family.
Grandma - She is a doll but dramatic. We love her very much. This is her Third Trip to the World. She took my oldest niece in 2007. On this Trip she is taking the younger sister of the oldest niece.
Pooh, Pooh - My youngest niece (5) - She is so cute! She has beautiful red curly hair. She love the princesses! Ariel - The little Mermaid - is her favorite!
Here is a link to our pre-trip report:

We had an early flight.
The alarm was set for 3:30am, DH and I were up 15 minutes before the alarm went off. We had everything packed the night before in the van. Grandma & Pooh, arrived at our house and we were off to the airport at 4:45am
We arrived at the Airport around 5:15am, we were checked & Through security by 5:50am.
We grabbed breakfast from a small shop at the airport terminal and waited to board the Plane.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1888.jpg
Grandma, DS, Princess, & Pooh waiting for the plane, I was playing with the camera on manual setting. There are some blurry not so good photos all through this trip report. I decided to play with the camera on our vacation. Not a good thing.
I have motion sickness, I found out how bad during the flight to Disney World in 2006, so I popped a dramamine while eating breakfast to avoid a repeat of my first plane ride as an adult. (Check out pre-trip report for story) :sad2:
We boarded the plane at 6:35am and we took off at 7:05am. AirTran has XM Radio which was really cool. We were able to listen to tunes on the way. The kids enjoyed it.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1901.jpg
DS listening to Radio on the plane, See the DS that is attached to his hands and he is playing Pokemon Game! ;)
We arrived at Orlando Airport at 8:55am (20 minutes early) Yay!
We were on the DME by 9:30am, we waited for the bus to fill up. We had a Disney Cruise Line Bus. We were all bored silly and wanting to get to Disney soon. Grandma kept asking when we were going to arrive because she was hungry for lunch. It is only 9:30am what is wrong with her?
Here are a few pictures on the bus:

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1913.jpg
We were enroute to Pop Century by 9:55am
There were 3 stops for our magical express - Pop, Coronado Springs, & AKL - I am glad our stop is first.
Here is a photo of the famous signage:
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1919.jpg
We arrived at Pop at 10:40am
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1921.jpg
We checked in and received our Key To The World Cards, confirmed we had 10 days of park hopping & water park fun and the DDP. Grandma & Pooh, also checked in they were staying in a connecting room. Our Rooms were not ready, we were ready for the Magic Kingdom but Grandma is still screaming she is hungry. So we checked our carry-on luggage with bell services and decided to stop for a bite to eat at Everything POP.
To be continued......

As Day 1 continues we really wanted to have lunch at the Magic Kingdom but Grandma was starving. I do not remember what she ate for breakfast, but I can say it must have been close to nothing.
We really enjoyed Everything Pop. The food was good and it hit the spot when we ate here.
Princess had the Kid's Mac & Cheese Meal and she liked it.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1927.jpg
DS had the Pepperoni Pizza and Chocolate Cake
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1926.jpg
Grandma & Pooh share the Parmesan Chicken & I had the Parmesan Chicken, which came on a bed of lettuce w/ italian dressing on it and a bread stick and grapes for dessert.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1924.jpg
DH had the Meatball Sub and Chocolate Cake
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1928.jpg
We all got water bottles with our meals so we could take them with us to Magic Kingdom.
Off We Go To The Magic Kingdom. Our Favorite Park.
We got in the bus line at POP for MK, the bus was full but there was another waiting. We chose the second bus so we would not have to stand.
We arrived at MK and the excitement began. We had not been here since 2006 and it was like coming home. Walking out of the bus depot to see the monorail and finally the entrance to MK. It is so beautiful to walk down mainstreet and see the castle.
Here is our family Photo Pass Picture:

By this time it was already 2:30pm and with young children and an early morning flight everyone was tired and quite frankly a little cranky.
So DH called POP to see if our room was ready and it was. So we hopped on a bus and headed back to POP. Our bags were in our room. We were Wowed! by this.
I began unpacking while DH took notes about our trip.
We got room 4430 located in the 60's building, A on the POP map located on the fourth floor over looking a courtyard. We had connecting rooms with Grandma & Pooh.

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_2401.jpg
The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. Grandma started getting hungry again. So we went for dinner at Everything POP & Dining again but we split up. Grandma went back to the room with Pooh to get dressed. We decided we would just go eat.
Princess had Nachos & Cheese. Just for your information. Nachos w/ cheese at POP is considered a snack credit.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1955.jpg

After Dinner at POP we went to clean up and headed for DTD
We went to the Christmas Shop. I wanted to buy an ornament for our tree while here but at the time we thought we were coming back in November for a 5 day trip and I could buy it then. I regret to say we never made it back for that November trip and I was a little sad at Christmas this year because I did not buy that ornament.
We stopped by the Kitchen Shop. DH wanted to buy Popcorn tins and I wanted to get cups but we passed these things up also.
We then stopped by Once Upon A Toy.
DS built his own Light Saber.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1965.jpg
Princess chose 2 notebooks with princesses on the front & Princess crayons.
We then stopped by World of Disney Store.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1966.jpg
I bought a Walt Disney World T-Shirt & a few Mickey Hair Clips
We then learned from reading trip reports that you can make your own snacks at Goofy Candy Co. and the count as snack credits.
So we decided to stop by and make some treats.
DS has the Marshmellows w/ chocolate
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1975.jpg
Princess had an Oreo Cookie
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1971.jpg
I had Pretzels
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1969.jpg
DH had Oreo Cookie & Mickey Ears Rice Krispy Treat
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1974.jpghttp://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_1976.jpg
Loaded with snacks we headed back to POP
We stopped by Everything POP and bought our refillable mugs.
4 refillable mugs $49.96 plus tax & two Mickey Straws $1.05 including tax.
We also bought Autograph books for the kids and Pens to match.
Off to our room!
We ate our snacks over 3 nights. It was very good. If you have the chance stop by Goofy's Candy Co. and try them.
It was time for Bed and Tomorrow is EPCOT!

We had a wake up call for 6:50 am and received Pirates!
We ate Breakfast at Everything POP!
DH & Princess shared the Chocolate Chip pancakes w/ Bacon & Sausage
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1988.jpg
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1987.jpg

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1985.jpg
Off to Epcot - No wait for a bus.
Here is our Photo Pass Picture from that morning:
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/image131.jpg
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/image140.jpg
We got fast passes for Soarin and Test Track, we used everyone's tickets some would not ride.
We then took off to ride Nemo
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1996.jpg
Then we decided to go to Turtle Talk w/ Crush along the way we came up the Famous shark for picture posing.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_1998.jpg
Turtle Talk w/ Crush was really cute.
The kids enjoyed it. Crush called on Princess, He said something like I see a something or other with a pink shell and pink hat. or something like this. He said what is your name and princess acted shy so I said. Say your name in my firm mom voice. Not realizing it was my firm mom voice and Crush said now Mom we do not have to force her or something like that. So then, I was a little embarrassed. It was not funny at the time but it is now.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/IMG_2010.jpgPoor DS has an allergy to Sun Screen so we buy the Neutrogena Hypo-Allergenic Sun Screen which does not break him out but it makes him all white.
We then rode Test Track. DH then headed for Soarin because no one else wanted to ride it.
So the rest of us took off to Circle of Life (this is a film you watch), I did not like it, it had animals attacking other animals in it but the message was clear we have to save our environment.
We then did Living with The Land (boat ride) - We enjoyed this - it takes you to see how disney grows food it is really neat. The said that Disney grows most of its own produce and uses it in the restaurants around the resort. I thought this was awesome information.
Here are a few photos:

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_2015.jpg
At this point, it was about lunch time. Grandma & Pooh decided to eat lunch at Epcot and we thought is would be great to have lunch at Beaches & Cream.
This was a bust. The wait was too long and the kids were hot. They were staving so instead of walking all the way back to Epcot. We ate at The Beach Club counter service area. They had sub sandwiches. We ended up sharing 1 Turkey sandwich, chips, and chocolate cake.
We headed back to Epcot and stopped by France for some pastries.
We all shared apple tart, creme puff, & chocolate cookie
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_2020.jpg
Had this Photo Pass picture taken near France, it is one of my favorites from the trip.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/image176.jpg
We stopped by Japan and picked up Pokemon for DS
Took picture of DH & DS by a beautiful fountain
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_2021.jpg
Stopped in Norway to try the Kringla Sweet Pretzel
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%202008/IMG_2024.jpg
We stopped by China and bought Princess this cute umbrella, they wrote her name in Chinese on the umbrella
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/AlohaAnnie_2008/Disney%20PhotoPass%202008/image181.jpg
Then we headed for Mexico:
We rode the Grand Fiesta Tour (boat ride) twice:

Then we headed of to try all the different sodas at Club Cool, we decided to try beverly and it was nasty!
We then rode Spaceship Earth, I always enjoy this classic ride. It is relaxing.
Then we went to Mouse Gears and bought the kids a few prizes.

We had a late ADR for Le Cellier so we were hungry and stopped by the Electric Umbrella for French Fries.
Rode Figment! We have never rode this ride before, it has a catching song and it is cute. It became a favorite of the kids.
We stopped by Honey I shrunk the audience! this was ok but I do not think we will stop by again.
By this time we were ready for our ADR for Le Cellier.
While we were waiting to be seated something was on fire in the distance you could see the smoke and the smell was terrible.
Kaytelyn from Ottawa was our server. She was excellent. She kept our drinks refilled and spent some time chatting with us about the program at disney that brings her from Canada to work at Disney. It was all very interesting.
I took pictures but they were horrible because we had a table in a dark area by the kitchen.
For dinner we had Pretzel Bread only, we asked for this and received it.
Princess has the Kid's Hot Dog, w/ cheese soup, and a Chocolate Sundae for dessert
DS - is considered an adult so he had the NY Strip w/ roasted potatoes, and Campfire smores for dessert.
DH - had the NY Strip also w/ cream cheese mashed potatoes and Chocolate Moose for dessert.
I had, the Mushroom filet and Mandarin Orange Sorbet for dessert.
It was very delicious. It was one of DH's favorite meals. and he wants to go back during our upcoming 2009 May/June vacation. I on the other had thought the meal was ok and nothing special.
We tried to keep the original receipt at every meal before our DDP was taken off.
The meal was $153.00 plus tip $29.00 for a total of $182.00
When our DDP was applied we paid $8.00 for a salad I had and $29.00 for tip.
We had made this reservation before Grandma decided to take Pooh on the trip with us. So we could not work them into this ADR, so this was the only Table Service on the DDP that they did not attend with us.
After Dinner we met up with Grandma & Pooh and watched Illuminations in Mexico.
This was a great fireworks/ show display. There was a Thunderstorm working in the distance and we were hoping it would not reach us, it did not.

There was fire in Illuminations. You could feel the heat where we were sitting. I thought that was interesting.
After Illuminations we decided to leave and the bus stops were busy. We expected this. We waited around 15 minutes for a bus. and we did not have to stand we were able to sit.
When we got back to POP we hopped in bed and went to sleep!
Up next Day 3...Animal Kingdom
