Don't ya just hate....

...waiting for the spring bulb greenery to die so you can clean up the garden for new bloomers?

I have a foundation bed I expanded and I am in a holding pattern waiting for everything to die back so I can move it.

I was just thinking about that this morning. I was walking through the garden ... thinking "heck I wish the foilage would die back sooner... it is distracting from the annuals I just put in!"

i check every day for stuff I can pick off or trim..

I was too anxious to plant my veggies. I pulled up all the bulbs (still healthy greenery attached) put them intact in large pots, filled with dirt and a smidge of bone meal. They will die back in the pots!!!!

I did this 2 years ago and it worked well. The following year the dafodils and tulips were just as beautiful!

I have tomatoes just begining to turn red to show for it!

Those beautiul spring flowers that we waited for all winter sure have a nerve cluttering up our summer garden plans.

Almost like that college student returning home for the summer with boxes and boxes of junk. You just can't wait till fall and they take all their clutter back with them.
