does anyone know of any stores close to port canaveral to stop and get some alcohol before boarding the ship? If not there what about in nassau

You'll find stores if you head south on A1A (south from Port Canaveral). I can't offer specifics but we did find a supermarket to buy beer/soft drinks. You won't have to travel too far an if you're there during business hours, you'll find something. In Nassau, you'll find places to buy alcohol at decent prices. We did this within walking distance of the ship. You shouldn't have trouble in either place. Sorry I can't offer specific directions or names of stores.

Walgreens is right across from Ron Jon's and they have a package store. Also a few more miles south is an ABC liquor store. You can buy beer/wine/liquor at either location.

You can buy beer and wine at grocery stores in Florida. And my favorite grocery store in Florida is Publix. If you want to stop on your way to the ship, there's a Publix in Cocoa. It's listed on my Space Coast Locater map. (www.dcltribute.com/spacecoast). If you need other alcohol, there's a liquor store at the Winn Dixie across the street from the Publix. There's also a liquor store at the Walgreens on Merritt Island.
