AKV Kidani Pool-Spoke to MS

I had the most helpful MS lady on the phone today. I was so blown away from her customer service. I asked her about Kadani pool being open in June. She called over to someone(not sure who) and confirmed it will definately be open for our trip in June..

Sorry this doesn't take the place of pictures but I am relieved to know it will be open.

I am sure it is too... I just wanted to confirm for my dates for peace of mind.

Unless there are construction delays, I'm sure that it's DVC plan to have the pool, restaurant and all other basic services operating when Kidani Village opens on 5/1.

The few pictures that have been posted don't seem to show a lot of progress lately. Maybe a lot of interior work. And there are no pictures of the pool, probably due to its location -- beyond where the casual observer has access.

Does anyone know if there will actually be a pool there? I see in the mock-up that there will be waterpark type attractions but I'm hoping there will also be a pool for swimming . . . ideally one with zero entry and sand! Or at least a baby pool.

I hope it's really, really great - that would be such an asset to the resort!

The member website says that it will have a zero-entry feature:

we were told a couple of weeks ago by MS,that pool and resturant will be open may.it was in long thread about rooms think lisas
to be honest they will have to have the pool open as origanal pool at AK is way to small for the extra guests at the DVC part,dont forget there was no pool hoping for this reason

Our reservations are not 'til end of August. I am looking forwrad to trying a new DVC resort and definitely it's pool.

We have our first DVC trip in 25 days, but our first trip to our home resort at the end of May is the one we are looking forward to the most. My boys cannot wait for this pool!

We just booked a 1bed @ Kidani (standard view) for July today! We cancelled our 1bed savannah view because we weren't sure about animals. We pondered the idea of switching to Jambo, but we really are looking forward to the new resort - extra bathroom and new pool area!!! Plus, it'll be brand, spanking new!

DD5 really wanted the savannah, but I think she'll be equally excited as she loves the pool. Her favourite view is actually the pool view, so hopefully they can fulfill our request (it's also my hubby's birthday while we are there, and this is his favourite resort).

If you're counting on a pool view I'd call and double check when those rooms are due to be opened. It doesn't make sense, but I had read here some time back that those would be the last rooms to be finished. If they will be open, make sure they note it as a request on your reservation so you don't end up with a parking lot/entry way view instead.

Thanks - we are used to always booking Jambo House, so this might change things for sure. I will talk to hubby and then call MS tomorrow.
