Sunday 24th August

Our last day - town car picking us up at 2.15pm
The sun was shining today!!! We got up bright & early at 7am to make the most of it!
We had the breakfast bufett in the Islands dining room - it was verynice :)
jumped in the pool then headed back to the room for a shower & finished off the packing, we then checked out and stored our luggage & headed over to IOA :)

Now you may remember that DD reached the milestone of riding her 1st upside down rollercoaster yesterday (Kraken)
today this girl was up for anything!!!
we all did Hulk - she loved it! & we all did duelling dragons - and guess what?? - she loved it too!!
also did jurassic park & spidermaWe went to NBC for lunch
me - bbq chk pizza - ok
DD - pot roast
DH - chk ceaser salad

We went back to RPR & chilled in the orchid court lounge till the car arrived
We arrived at the airport around 2.45pm - wanted to get their early to get decent seats for our 6.15pm flight - to be told our flight was delayed by 4 hours!! :( & was now not leaving till 10pm

we wandered around the shops till it was time to go :( I was major depressed by now! The flight was ok a bit bumpy but not bad enough to make me go into panic mode! i did only manage a couple of hours sleep though! DH slept all the way!! a goodthing as we had a 2 hr drive when we landed!
I watched 'Only In Vegas' & 'Maid Of Honour' both good.

We landed at 10.45am & headed towards a riduculously HUGE line to get through passport control!! This depressed me even more - yep we're back in the UK!!
To be fair it did move quicker than i thought it would & our cases were off the plane & picked up straight away,....but not good to a depressed to be home, had no sleep & jet lagged WDW fan!!!

We headed to Radisson to pick up the car - a very simple & east process & after DH had check the mileage, tyres, boot & anything else he could think of -we headed home. We took the motorway route back (if any of you can remember waaayyy back to day 0 - the new sat nav took us all over the place when we drove out!!) this route was MUCH better.

picked up the cat - DD hapy ;)
spent the rest of the day unpacking, & watching tv in the evening, managed to stay up till 10.30pm then went to bed - couldnt sleep! wake up at 11.30 am the next day.......

so thats it - i cant believe i managed to finish my TR!! :cool1:

This was the holiday that had the most things go wrong but we still had a great time, we never claimed back on the insurance for DD's trip to the Dr :sad2: (just never got round to it!!)

Even though it kills me to say it - i think i enjoyed Universal & RPR more than WDW!!even though we did have lousy weather! The staff were much more friendly & i Loved the hotel.
That said i will go back to WDW, if we can afford moderate or deluxe i would do that over pop - it was a little crowded for me & many people abusing the system regarding use of wheelchairs & motorised thingy's!! but worth the money.

so now i patiently await the 2010 brochures so i can plan away!

Thanks for sharing your great trip report Tracey. You were so lucky to be in Orlando for 3 weeks, and you certainly made the most of Tropical Storm Fay (I don't think I'll ever forget all that rain - it was unbelivable)

I'm so pleased that your DD enjoyed all the big rollercoasters too

Thanks so much for sharing. I love the Universal parks/hotels too. Thomas Cook Signature brochure is out now, I think it goes up to August 2010. :)
