Here is what DH and I did a couple of weekends ago for some side yard landscaping. Camera isn't that great but you can get the gist of it. Still want to plant some annuals, and the azaleas are still doing wonderfully. (after picture was taken yesterday)

DixieDreamer - first is a dwarf spruce, then purple, white and pink azaleas (the purple is done blooming) I forget the names of the last two - one is a rosea something or other and then the last one I don't know the name but it has long spires of little white flowers. I put some day lilies in between but not sure if I will keep them there or not.

Just amazing in the difference between the two pictures. Nothing really wrong with the first shot, just the side of a house. But the second shot, WOW. The house now has a great personality!

That looks fantastic. I have to agree a few well placed bushes and it can make the whole yard look different. Love the colors.
