Mickey slide questions

Does this slide actually go into the water? I've seen pictures on the net, but it never actually shows someone going into the water or even the end of the slide. Is the water very shallow where the slide ends?

Yes. The slide does go into the water. I ask some friends of mine the same question the other night who have been on a Disney Cruise before and they had pictures of their children going into the water.

Just returned from 4 day wonder. The mickey slide does not deposit the slider into the pool. It stops to the side of the pool and the children have to walk off the slide. There is water coming down the slide and a puddle of water where they slide ends. There are some height requirements but I don't recall what they are. My 7 year old loved it.

I have a beef with the Mickey Pool! I want to be able to go down it!!!!! They should have an "adult" time on the slide at night or something where we can play too!!!! Of course, that thing might not be designed to hold my weight. :)

Accdg to the Magical Disney Cruise Guide ....."When the pool is open, there are crew members present to keep things safe. To use the slide, the kid must be 4-12 years old and no more than 64 inches tall"

And they do inforce the height restrictions.....we went with my DD best friend (10) who is very tall for her age....she was a mere 1/2 " too tall.......they let her go down once.....:(

The slide definitely does not go into the pool. There is a long section at the end and the water makes the kids slow down and come to a stop!! Have Fun.

A CM monitors the "splash pool" that you land in at the base of the slide. It's not part of the Mickey Pool but just to one side. My son LOVED the slide! (age 7 at the time) FYI, the door to the stairs that lead up to the slide is between the restrooms and the bar that's under Mickey's hand. Hope this helps!
