Sims 3

Just about to pre-order this then read the reviews on amazon....lots of bad ones as its got some sort of sortwareon that allows adverts. I've played Spore and never noticed these. Anyone else like these games? Personally i like building and designing the houses.

I've looked at Sims 3 but will have to overhaul my PC again to reach the spec needed to run it.

I love the Sims but am wary of rushing to buy new ones after the problems with the last upgrade, EA were slow to make a patch for all the bugs with it.

Apparently it's got some software on it that allows for adverts to played through it, unless someone had told me though i doubt i would have noticed.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what a bunch of people have to say about a game that's not even been released yet... I've been a Sims fan since the first game and own every single expansion and stuff pack for both Sims 1 and 2. :rolleyes2 Will I be getting Sims 3? You bet! :hyper:

The software some people are so concerned about is a copy protection system. This is now used by EA in their entire line of PC products, not just the Sims, so anyone who doesn't like it will effectively have to get all their games from another publisher. :p

ooh you've got me all excited. I love the Sims!! I bought my old laptop with Sims 2 installed on it up to uni with my to play it because it was clogging up my new laptop!! Can't wait to get Sims3!!! :goodvibes

Yes you can wonder around the neighbourhood, have more realistic personalities....looks good.

Its apparently out on 20th February, it has a few new features.

I will have to wait as I know I will need to upgrade my processor & graphics card just to meet the required spec. I need to shop around for the best prices.

I used to play the sims all the time when i lived at home, but now i have a laptop it doesnt work on it.

I want to save up and get a pc just so i can play the sims lol.

I can't wait for it but also looks like I will have to clear my space or upgrade my memory for it to run well. I just hope that it doesn't distract me from the last few months of my study so I may have to wait until I finish in May to buy it but I don't think I can wait that long. :cheer2:
