What I do is check right here daily as many people post about sales and you usually have to act quick which is what happened to me this year!

I saw a post about AA sale for Fall trips and I ran over to my favorite search engines: www.orbitz.com and www.expedia.com and then I also checked with www.AA.com to see if the sale was still on and which one had the best price.

Well, the sale was still on but out of those 3 sites, Orbitz had the best price. I got 4 round trip, non-stop tickets for $410!!!! It was $400 plus Orbitz service fee of $10. I couldn't believe my eyes!! AA and expedia were about $30 more for some reason at a total of $440. so I went with Orbitz. That sale lasted 2 days I think. That has never happened to me before. I couldn't believe my luck and it wouldn't have happened if I didn't check here in this transportation board!!!

Good luck!

I found the best price for my dates on Expedia (http://www.expedia.com) and haven't been able to come close to the price I got for the times I wanted. Our flight arrives at MCO (from BWI connecting through CLT) 9:30 AM and departs at 4:30 PM from MCO (another connect through Charlotte). We got 4 tickets for $800. Not the best price from what I've heard others have gotten, but I was pleased since the flights are the Friday before and after Thanksgiving. I didn't want to take my chances and wait. We were able to pick our seats directly through Expedia. The USAirways (http://www.usairways.com) site didn't come close on price.

Southwest flies from ST. Louis, right now, friends fly free, for Sept. I found 267.00 rt total for two people.
www.southwestair.com

I think this offer expires 5/26/02. I doubt you will find a better deal.

ooooppppsss
sorry
we used the friends fly free from southwest
I had checked them a couple of months ago but they were no good for our travel dates
They must have extended the tiem periods
anyway, we do have a layover of 2 1/2 hours in Birmingham but our home flight is non stop
now I just pray our luggage makes it through the plane
changes.
thanks again for all the great help
