Sorry but I had to vent and this seemed like a good place...I am so sick of it...and it is only January...I live off Lake Huron in the snow belt area and I just got home from a drive that should have taken 10 minutes and took one hour!!!! I had to leave my girls at work and get them to sleep at their managers house (they work at mCDonalds1/2 hour away )

I had checked weather before I left and it said some light flurries:rotfl2: :rotfl2: well now that I am back home NOW they say snowsqualls.......nil visibilty yada yada

I was terrified...it was so bad I couldn't pull over 'cause I wasn't sure where the side of the road was.....

sigh....counting the days til WDW...sorry dor venting but I know you all know what I am talkin' about:guilty:

Way down here in "Sunny Southern Ontario" we haven't seen this much snow in a long time and it has been so cold the snow has been sticking around. In past years it would snow, and melt a day or two later. We have had snoe on the ground for almost a month now.

Ah, Ontarians, come join us on the Prairies.

We too have had the coldest, deepest winter we can remember. Thank goodness we have warm houses. And a heated garage.

I know how you all feel. We got a little reprieve last week of above 0 temps but we were back into the deep freeze on Thursday. Looking at my weather icon thingy we are sitting at -31 and it has warmed up from -36. Thankfully we will be back into the -10's or warmer by mid week.

Then my DH and I are off to California for 5 days Feb 3rd. I am counting down the days to warmth and sunshine...heck I will settle for +15 or warmer :lmao:

Ditto on the mountains of snow here in the Oakville area. Thank heaven we had a slight thaw after Christmas because the snow bank at the end of my driveway is about 6 ft tall right now. :scared1:

Yesterday was a beautiful, mild day. It was still around 0 degrees but it was sunny and after how cold it has been I could have been outside without my coat. Now today was supposed to back in the -15 range but not so. I would guess about -5, no wind and sunny with blue sky.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one HATING this winter and this coming from Canadians makes me feel not so bad now :)

I originally grew up in UK (30 miles from London in the countryside) and hardly ever saw snow

I knew when I came here that there would be snow and I accepted that and for the last 30 years I have dealt with it ::yes::

But, this year I'm over it. I can't wait to become a snowbird and head to Florida the minute there is any sign of cold/snow :thumbsup2

My husband thinks it's because I came from UK as he see's no problem with winter  (he's Canadian)

But I am happy to see that "Canadians" are fed up with it the same as me ;)

If I could have my way, It would snow on Christmas Eve and melt on Boxing day! :rotfl2:

Hoping for warmer days from now on (snowless would be great!!!) ;)

Thanks for sharing :goodvibes

I just returned last night from a quick, 4 day Orlando getaway which was great but today I am feeling extremely blue..it was very depressing leaving blue skies and sunshine and returning to grey skies, cold and snow. As soon as I am an empty nester I will not spend another winter in this country!

I enjoy all the seasons, but enough already. I grew up in West Virginia, (before you ask I married a crazy canuck-best thing I ever did.) We had snow in WV, but this is the coldest and snowiest winter I've seen in my 10 years in Canada. Please bring me spring already!!!!!::yes::

This is the worst winter I can remember in NS for a long time (last year was bad too, which is why we planned our second trip to Disney within a month of returning from the first)

It's not just that it's cold, or that it started early, or even that the snow has stayed (and turned to solid ice) when usually it would melt off from time to time. It's the temperature changes that are getting to me. For example, Saturday afternoon it rained a little bit -- tomorrow it will be -25.

Sorry...gotta go... wanna see if I can change my airline tickets to Orlando and go earlier.

Don't know how cold it was today-my thermometer outside broke this winter.

I just know it was freezzing with the wind blowing. They say we will get another 5-10 cm tonight. It had been melting last week, but many lawns still have snow/ice on them.

Can't wait til Spring!

I agree with you there!!! Once the kids are done high school.. thats it I'm out of here. I hate winter.. We're in Quebec and all we are getting is cold, colder and even colder. This -35 for the past 3 weeks is ridiculous.
