I know the plan says "over 100" places to eat on the DDP. If I'm in the middle of the park, and my 6yo says "mom, I'm starving!", will I need to look around to find a place on the DDP? I'm thinking when we are in the middle of the parks (1st timers!), I just want to head to the nearest place to eat, not have to check 5 places to find one that is on the dining plan.
Probably applies more to snack and CS meals, as TS we would probably have planned out.
Thanks!

You shouldn't have a problem! ;)

It is harder to find a restaurant NOT on the dining plan at WDW than one that is. No need to worry you will be fine!

Both in and out of the parks it is very easy to find places that accept the DDP - especially counter service and snacks.
The only difficulty I've ever really had is occasionally, some of the carts can't take the DDP because a) they don't take it or b) their machine was down. But that was only once or twice.
My biggest problem is always that there are too many things included in the dining plan that I want to try (for instance in the MK - I always mean to try Columbia Harbor House but I also wanted to try the chicken and ribs at Cosmic Ray's and the burger or wrap at Peco's bills).

I can't think of any counter service in the parks that doesn't take the DDP. Like a PP said, some of the snack carts don't but that is just a very, very few. Also a couple of years ago we ran into a situation where we were trying to get Cokes with snack credits and the carts machine was down. I would be sure to carry at least ten dollars or so in case you are wanting a drink from a cart and the machines aren't working. That has only happened to us once in two trips with the DDP.

I found it helpful to print this out for our first trip with the dining plan. I included our ADR's and confirmation numbers on the same sheet and kept it in my bag :thumbsup2
Have a great trip!!pixiedust:
