Hello and welcome to my pre-trip report!!! :wave2: I'll be taking another trip down to Disney World and I figured I would share it with you all! Let me introduce myslef.
I'm Cheryl, 21 years old and I all things Disney. Currently an annual pass holder (since July of 07) and most definatly getting my money's worth.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8d900b3127ccec4fe6e54317e00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I love to travel and I'm always up for an adventure. All of my trips to Disney lately have been solo ones. My family isn't into the whole "Disney thing" and my friends are busy with school and bf's and gf's. So rather than sit around and miss out on my favorite place I decided to take my first solo trip when I was 19. It was a blast and I felt so independent doing what I wanted when I wanted. That's when it all started. Since that trip I've gone down to WDW for Halloween, Christmas and even a Disney cruise! The cruise was this past May and my best friend and her boyfriend went as well. They moved down to FL almost 2 years ago but while she loves Disney it's more of the movies than WDW.
Here is my BFF and I with Capt. Jack at Castaway Cay.

A couple trips have even included Dis meets. Those were a blast and I even consider these girls, friends!

Now when Disney announced the birthday promotion I figured it would be so fun to celebrate my birthday there. It's not a big deal to miss my b-day with my family since we always celebrate the weekend before. It's so hard to do it the day of because of work schedules. Plus most of my friends are all graduating college in May and most wont be around. So why sit at home? But when they announced the buy 4 get 3 promotion that sealed the deal for me. When I looked into it more turns out you have to book it as a package with park tickets. I played around with the WDW site, worked with numbers and booked the 4/3 deal with one day ticket (I can use it toward an AP renewal in the future) and the quick service meal plan.
I'm so excited to start really planning this trip and hope you will join along with me! The dates are set and the countdown is rolling...WDW here I come!
The TR is started:

You'll have to tell me how the birthday promotion goes. I'm excited to hear how Disney will do it. My birthday is in April but I don't have the funds right now to go down, with planning a wedding at all it sucks my wallet dry! :sad2:
Any DIS meets planned?

I am in too! I am so jealous you get to go to Disney World for your birthday. I just found out I have a bunch of money from savings bonds from my grandparents so I said something about going for my birthday in March...but instead we're going to go to New York (I've never been there before!). So since we don't have any Disney trips planned for the moment I'm going to need something to give me my fix! Can't wait to hear how your plans come along. :)

WOO HOO! Can't wait to follow your report! My birthday is in April, and I got all excited when the promotion was first announced and I looked at the calendar - it's on a Monday so I thought maybe I could swing a long weekend. Then I ended up taking a Monday/Wednesday night class this semester. I would have to travel home on my birthday, and make it to my calculus 3 class by 7:25 that night - yuck! Oh well - I'm glad you get to do this - I can't wait to hear about your experience!! :hourglass

Hey Jen! Thanks for joining in on this report! The birthday promotion is that you can get into WDW or DL on your actual birthday for free. But if you have an annual pass or already have tickets you can pick from other birthday goodies. Such as a special birthday fastpass, a one day ticket valid for one day within the next year or a $75 birthday fun card (giftcard). Plus the park will have different celebrations going on all around.
Nope no dis meets planned as of now.
Jumping on board. Those pictures bring back some memories!

I know! We really had a good time at both of those meets! Hopefully we can set up another one in the future.
My dates are May 11-18! :cool1:

So for my trip in November I decided to not really plan anything and go with the flow. As fun and relaxing as that was, I'm a die hard Disney planner. Planning is half the fun right?! Well lets just say it's killing me that Disney hasn't released the May park hours yet. My dates for the trip are May 11-18 so Monday to Monday. My birthday is the 12th (Tuesday) and I would like to go out for a nice dinner.
No matter what the park hours are that day (the 12th) I would like to go to Epcot in the morning then dinner somewhere then to the Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic and Wishes. That should be do-able.
For dinner I've looked at the allears website and come up with a few choices:
-Grand Floridian Cafe
-Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West Resort
-Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Spring
I'm leaning toward the last one, it sounds pretty good from the menu. I still have some time though before I can make the ADR.
Other than that I haven't even thought about what to do on each day. I was thinking about maybe heading to seaworld one day. But that's just an idea. We will have to see.
Hopefully the hours will be out in early Feb like everyone is predicing and I can really get this planning under way!

So I officially have plane tickets! I've been checking southwest pretty much everyday and flights from here to Orlando have been running about $240 round trip. Well yesterday when I checked it was $175! Savings of $65 so I figured I better book it since that's the cheapest I had seen. I have the first flight out landing at MCO a little after 10 and the last flight home on departure day giving me the most out of those travel days. I'm wicked excited now! All that's left to do is pay off the package! :cool1:

It's such a good thing the plane tickets have gone down. Still not the price they use to be but it's such a relief. If I didn't have my free flight from rapid rewards in November that flight would of cost me $360! :sad2:
I'm still looking into the Sea World thing. It looks like such a beautiful park!!! I looked it up and I could get picked up by Mears for $18 round trip!

There is a Lynx bus to Sea World from the TTC. Only $2 each way. I've looked into going to Sea World on my next trip and that is probably how I will go.

Yay for getting a decent deal on the plane tickets! I love flying Southwest. And if the flight prices go down between now & May, you can always get that credit towards a next flight. (to Disney!)
:thumbsup2
And this is going to sound craaaaazy, but our dates are ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME! We'll be there May 10-17th :) I was playing around with the dates with work, classes, etc and it turns out that was the best week out of May to go!
I'm SO exciteddddddddd!!!!

I was actually reading about that today. The only thing is I would be so worried about missing the bus at night. I don't want to be stuck at sea world and forced to pay for a $50 taxi back to Pop. At least with Mears they pick up 24/7 and whenever I want.
I'll have to keep thinking about it though!!!! :thumbsup2

Hey there...glad you were able to score your airline tickets too. I've been looking at Southwest myself and it's cheaper than airtran **shrug** We were going to drive b/c Airtran was sooo expensive but it's $200 less w/ Southwest and it's a direct flight!! We're going to keep an eye on the flights.

Yea I've got a direct flight which is always good. Last time (in 2000) when the whole family went we had a change over and lets just say never again! It was so stressful.
Good luck with your flight search!

104 days and counting!
I ended up picking up a baggallini messenger bag and I think it's going to be perfect! So many pockets and hidden spaces it should really hold a lot. I got a wicked good deal on it. $16!!! I'll try and get a picture up soon.
So for my b-day dinner I've decided on Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. From some of the reviews I've read they have a little patio and if the weather is nice they will seat you out there with a view of Downtown Disney. Oh and Lauren (Lauren_Elizabeth) and her son Jake will be joining me! We have talked online and through the Dis for what seems like forever so it will be so exciting to finally meet her and Jake! After dinner we are going to head over to the Magic Kingdom and watch wishes and spectromagic. I'm really excited, I think we are going to have a blast!
Other than that I have no new news to report. I'm still waiting for the May hours to be posted and hopefully they will be next week. Then I can really start planning! :upsidedow

Ohhh, what color Baggallini did you buy? I have a yellow one that I used on our trip in 2006 and I loved it! And $16?! That's an awesome deal!!
Speaking of 2006, that's the year that we started talking here on the DIS! Can you believe it? About 3 years now! It's about time we finally get to meet up!
Mmmm, I was looking at the Turf Club menu again today and it was making me so hungry! Definitely looking forward to that meal and then heading over to the MK afterwards! :thumbsup2

TJ Maxx has some great deals! I got a black one. Figuring it would be least likely to get dirty.

I might have to make a trip over to TJ Maxx this week! Yeah, my yellow bag got dirty pretty fast, so the black was a good idea!
We'll def have to plan at least another day to hang out! I'm game for whenever! We can walk around World Showcase one evening or even hang out by the pool, anything!

So it's been a VERY cold and snowy day here in NH so I've been doing some Disney planning. Even though the May hours aren't out yet I made a list of a few "must see's" that I need to hit.
-Explore the Boardwalk (try it at night)
-Planet Hollywood at DTD (using that voucher that comes with the package)
-The new T-shirt shop at DTD
-Beaches n' Cream
-Try and get to AK for PM EMH (heard it's like a whole different park at night)
-Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard beach (never been to a WDW waterpark and I have a ticket from a family trip in 2004)
I haven't decided which water park to hit yet. I was hoping you guys would have some input! :upsidedow
Also here are some pictures of the new bag I was talking about yesterday.

While I was taking pictures of the bag I decided to take pictures of some of my Disney collection I've collected over the years.
Some of my snowglobes. The flowers are from O'hana at the poly and yes I actually saved that cookie box. I thought it was cute! lol!

In 2005 my family and I were coming back to the room and we found that mousekeeping was just leaving our room. We were so excited that she had left a towel animal. She saw how excited we were and made 2 more for us. She told my brothers and I we could take them home!

Oooh, fun update! Sorry it's still so snowy by you...luckily we haven't gotten any in about a week but it's still pretty cold. :sad2: Your must-sees look great. As for the water parks, I vote for Blizzard Beach. We liked the slides there a lot more. Plus you could go to Winter Summerland since it's right there. Though that water coaster at Typhoon Lagoon seems pretty cool too...
I love all your Disney stuff! It's so much fun seeing other people's collections. And your bird is very cute...my mom had one that looked exactly like Lilo but he died over the summer. :sad1:

Cute shelves! I like how you have it all on display. Mine is scattered all over my room and some in boxes. :rotfl:
Thanks! The shelves are pretty messy. I should probably organize and dust them since I have the time today!
It's cold and snowy here too...eh. I hate being out in the ice.

Sorry you are in the snow too!
Thanks for the input on Blizzard beach! That's cool that it was voted #1!

Ohhh I never thought of that with Winter Summerland I totally forgot it was there. That's one thing though as a solo it wouldn't be very fun. We will have to see though.
Aww so sorry about your mom's birdie! :guilty:

I love all the Disney stuff!! I have a few towel animals too, that we've saved over the years. And we have that same picture frame, the wood one w/the swirly silver Mickeys on it. We bought it this past trip. I love it!
You will LOVE the Baggalini. We have it in tan, DH carries it but it holds SO much, and that pocket on the strap is great for all kinds of things!!!

I like the bag! I looked at those once, but then I figured that most of the time while travelling, I'll have my camera bag too, and my camera would not fit in one of those! :rotfl:
I love all your Disney stuff. I called one of my sisters in to show her, and said, "See, I'm not the only one!" She still laughed at me! I don't have much of my Disney stuff out, I put it all away and then when I buy a home, I'll have tons of it to bring out and it will feel brand new!
Looks like a fun trip. I've been debating going over March, but I've been really good at trying to budget myself, and a trip just wouldn't help. Although, if I happened to get the pin for the $500 gift card I've been hearing about, I would jump on that!
Lilo is adorable too!
My DN and I went to Typhoon Lagoon, it was fun. From what I hear, Typhoon Lagoon is a more lush and less pavementy so if it's really hot, it's extremely hot at Blizzard Beach. Whichever park you choose, I'm sure you'll love it.

Hello there! I'm joining in after your post on my PTR! I'm going for my B-day too, have you decided what you're going to get for the birthday promotion? I think I'm gonna go for the giftcard with all the park time we will have with the 4/3 deal....

I've been doing a good job at budgeting myself. Specially with the economy. But hey sometimes you have to splurge..you only live once right?!
Thanks for the tip on Typhoon Lagoon! I still don't know which one to pick. And to tell you the truth I most likely wont choose till the day off.

Yeah, I love having it now with Jake! It's big enough to throw diapers, snacks & extra clothes in for him along with ALL of my junk! Now that's a big bag! :)
So, it looks like we'll be arriving on the 11th now, too! The 10th is Mother's Day and I had totally forgotten about plans with the family! I felt so bad. And then I got to thinking... I've always wanted to do Chef Mickey's on our arrival night, so I called this morning after I changed our dates and got a dinner reservation for 7:35 on Monday, May 11th. (That was the earliest they had since you can still book CM's 180 days out, so I snagged it.) I'm going to try calling again a few times to see if something earlier opens up, but if not it doesn't matter! Would you want to join us? We'd love if you did!

Wow that really is a lot of stuff! That's good that it got the 'mom approval'!
I was thinking of flying in on the 10th too but then like you realized it was mothers day. so that was a no go!
That's awesome about Chef Mickey's, I totally forgot that was still a 180 day adr. That would be so much fun to join you guys!!!
I'll be calling next week for the Turf adr so I will let you know about the time I got. I doubt there will be any issues with 5:30 like we talked about. :goodvibes

Yay so it's 100 days from my trip and from here on out the time is gonna fly! or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
I spent my day cleaning out my closet and let me tell you it was bad. :faint: I'm so glad it's done and nice and clean. But during my cleaning breaks I started putting together a planning binder! I even printed out a little color coded park hour sheet. Speaking of the park hours I'm so glad they are out! When I was looking at them today I noticed that Wishes and Spectro magic are cut wayyyyy back and wont be everynight. I'm so bummed because a night that they wont be shown is the night of my birthday. Hopefully Disney will change their minds and show it everynight!
Some other news- Lauren made ADR's for Chef Mickeys on the 11th and she invited me along with her! (Thanks for the invite girl!) I have never been there and wouldn't do that solo. That's the only thing that was really uncomfortable as a solo is the character dinners. I did one and that was enough for me solo. I'm so excited to try it out since so many people have this place as a "trip tradition" and love it!
Well that's all the news I have for now. I'll try to keep this tr interesting and add some other exciting things into it. Like I mentioned in another post I'm heading to Boston tomorrow so I'll take some pictures and share with you on here! Nope it's not related to Disney but it will help pass the time and give you something to read. :lmao: Hope you all are having a good weekend!!! :goodvibes

OOH!! So fun you're going to Chef Mickey's with Lauren! I took my DN and we just loved it! I didn't do any TS meals on my solo trip, let alone a character meal, so you've got two up on me for those. Maybe my next trip I'll try at least a TS. Or maybe a character meal. For my trip that I cancelled, I had booked Crystal Palace and the Rose and Crown. Oh well, maybe some day.
Close to double digits! :cheer2:

So as I mentioned before yesterday my family and I went into Boston and I took a few pictures to share with you all! It was my brother's birthday so my dad and 2 brothers went to the Celtics game while my mom and I headed over to Quincy market for some shopping. I live about an hour from the city and I love going into it since I don't get to go too often. My mom and I just kind of poked around nothing really caught our eye. So if you are interested here is a little photo tour of Quincy market. :goodvibes
Walking over to the market from the TD Banknorth Garden.

Love the Boston photos. Definately on my list of cities to visit. Found it kind of funny to see the TD Bank signs since it is a Canadian bank!
Ohhh I never knew TD Banknorth was a Canadian bank. Cool! :thumbsup2 If you ever come to Boston let me know! I'll show ya around!
Great pictures! I've heard Boston is a really beautiful city, but I've never been. I dated a guy for 6 years who lived in Boston as a child, and he never took me! :sad2: We're still really good friends, after looking at those pictures, maybe I'll ask him to take me now! :rotfl:
Ohhh you must have him take you! It's a lot of fun, lots to do. Plus if you can you gotta head over to Yawkey way and Fenway park to take in a sox game! If you come let me know!!!!
Oh that's right!! I do still need to post our engagement story. I will hopefully try to do that tonight...I have want to show ya'll pictures though, so I will have to figure that out first! princess:
Can't wait to hear all about it and see the pics!
:cool1: for double digits!
They have the BESTEST cannolis at Quincy Mahket. Mmmmm so good! :goodvibes
I didn't know there was a Croc store now! I'm going to have to get back down there! Its only about 30 minutes from where I live but I usually take the train which means a 45-60 minute ride. I hate driving in Boston.
Red Auerbach!! :goodvibes
Haha first of all I love how you said mahket! I use to live in MA when I was little and all of my other family still does. Anytime we have a family get together and were talking my MA accent comes out wicked bad! :lmao: It's really funny. I've never tried the cannolis though I guess I'll have to go back and try them! :upsidedow
Yea the Croc store wasn't there the last time I went. But it's pretty big and on the left side of the market all the way at the end.
Yuppers it's Red!!!

Ugh it's awful. I think it's really hitting home now with people that we are in a bad situation. Last year at this time when they were talking about the recession people were refusing to believe it. Sadly as so many are losing their jobs the reality is hitting hard. I just feel so badly for everyone in that situation. Disney is being hit really hard they said they lost 30+% first quarter. Hopefully the economy will start to turn around. :confused3

It really is scary. I guess I'm pretty lucky, even though I don't have a full contract. I have a job until June, and then come hiring time, I'm not sure. I will get something, and even just subbing, I'm sure I will be okay. They are always in need of subs, especially in French Immersion, which is what I teach. I have a friend who works in a call center, he's been there for 9 years, and he's really scared for his job. They've been cutting like crazy. It really is all over the place. It's scary to think about how many people are suffering because of it.

92 more days and Some exciting news...I did my taxes last night and turns out I'm getting a bigger refund than I thought! :cheer2:
Now where to spend some of that extra money? Lauren and I were talking a few days ago about her wanting to upgrade to a different level of resorts. I thought it wouldn't be worth it for me since I really don't need the extra space and Pop century has always been just fine for me. I stayed at CBR last year for one night before a cruise and that's the only time I've ever stayed at a MOD. Well now I looked up the same package I have now just at an MOD resort and it's only $200 more. Thats a good deal and most likely the cheapest I would ever be able to stay at an MOD for the length of stay I have. Plus I was looking at the Coronado Springs resort and it looks beautiful. This is the longest on property trip I've done so there will be more downtime to hang at the resort and relax. I don't know though is it worth the extra $200? So I came to get some opinions!!! What would you guys do? :goodvibes

Unfortunately we've never stayed at Coronado Springs so I can't help you there. But one thing that I've always enjoyed doing is visiting/staying at all the different resorts. If you think you are going to be spending more time at the resort since you're staying longer, I say go for it!

Hey - time is flying for you, Cheryl! Reading about you and Megan made me want to do my taxes - I'm getting a lot more back than I expected, too. Woo Hoo! I stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort last May. It was a beautiful resort. My room was pretty. It was nice walking by the lake every morning. There was a cute little duck family that I would pass every day, and all sorts of neat birds hanging out by the main building. They did have a long beach, and it was fun walking in the sand. The food court was themed so that it looked like you were outside. I did enjoy it. One thing I wasn't expecting was how isolated I felt. That resort is really spread out (I think Coronado Springs is similar). They have about 9 bus stops, so it's nice to get dropped off and picked up close to your room, but I think I actually like the hustle and bustle of the All Star resort I stayed at in October better. (I still haven't stayed at Pop - maybe this December). I liked that the All Star bus dropped us off right by the door to the gift shop. I would feel exhausted at the end of the day, and walking through the gift shop would perk me up. I also liked that the food court was right there, even if I just wanted to pick up a napkin and fork for my leftover dessert to take to my room. I also liked walking to my room past the All Star main pool, and seeing all the little kids splashing and playing at 10:00 at night. At the Caribbean Beach resort, the main pool, and of course, the food court, were way far away from my room. It was a long walk down there every morning to get coffee. I don't know - I think I just spend so much time by myself anymore that I like the livelihood of the value resorts. It adds something to the vacation for me. I know that you can request preferred rooms at the moderates, as well, which would make it closer to the action. I would definitely do that next time. I tried to upgrade at the last minute last May, but they were all booked. Anyway . . . . :wave2:

That's a tough choice! I will say, that CSR is the one mod I'm REALLY wanting to try, seeing all the pictures of it, it does look beautiful! I know that its a pretty spread out resort, so if you are way out, you may have a ways to walk. Have you seen the pictures of the recently updated rooms though? AWESOME. I'd be tempted too, but, I know how much you also love Pop. Is it worth the money, is the main thing. Is there anything else you could or would rather spend the extra money on? Touch choice, but hey, either way you go, its Disney and you'll have a blast!

Ooh! A possible upgrade! I've only stayed at Pop, so I can't help with opinions, sorry. I did have 2 nights booked at POFQ for December, but you know what happened with that one! I'm hoping for a trip this summer, which I'll probably stay the most at Pop, but I'm thinking I might add a night or two either at an All Star, or maybe at POFQ. I think it's the connection to French that I like about that one. Take lots of pictures no matter what you choose! LOL

Looking at the Disney site POFQ and PORS are sold out. The only thing that I can get is a King bed room at CSR or a pirate room at CBR.
Yay for getting your refund soon too!

Hey Julie! That's awesome you are getting more than you thought too! I had the same thing happen to me at CBR last year too. I felt like I was really on my 'own' and didn't see anyone around. I figure this time I'll like that since I thinking of having a non park day and will like relaxing at the quiet resort. I know what you mean though about the values! I love seeing all the people around.

The pictures look beautiful of the new CSR rooms! I do love Pop but I think I'm ready for a change (for one trip at least). I wouldn't normally be thinking of changing but where the 4/3 deal is out it really cuts the price of the MOD which I wouldn't normally pay the price for.

Hey again Cheryl :) I look at Disneyland hotels every day. My sister and I have decided that we definitely won't go in May, so I am going to miss Megan and her mom :guilty: We found out that because Disneyland is in a residential area, they cannot have nightly fireworks until school is out in mid-June, and that they rarely have nightly parades in the off season, too. So . . . I put in for the third week in July. That is when I went there last year, and the weather was gorgeous. It isn't humid like in Orlando, and most of the day was in the 70s - it would just hit the 80s for an hour and cool off again. My sister has to wait until her husband gets his annual bonus in February, and she's having some health problems. I may end up going solo again, which would be fine. I can't wait to get back to WDW at Christmastime. I'm hoping they run some more great sales later in the year. That will probably be a solo trip, too.

I think I would think of other things I could do with the $200 and think will I really spend that much time at the resort? I personally would go with the value. You could get something really nice for $200, maybe something from aribas brothers, or a nice piece of jewelry.

Haha so now I feel dumb! So I called Disney reservations to switch my resort to CSR and well first let me say I was on hold for 30 minutes because my ressie wouldn't open (I guess they are doing some computer updates). It was totally fine with me because I was just listening to the Disney music. :goodvibes So when my reservation finally opened she went to upgrade my resort and told me my new balance and it didn't match the price I was getting online. She said they were having some pricing issues and she would do it again. Still she came up with the same price. It then dawned on me why I was getting a cheaper price...I forgot to add the dining plan on the price I was getting online. So that $200 difference is really $403. Not such a good deal. The girl was so nice about it and understood why I would jump for a $200 deal but that wasn't the case. So needless to say I'm still at Pop which is still exciting none the less. Now to figure out how to spend the extra money!
I still keep going back to the Seaworld idea. I went there once when I was 5 and I don't remember it at all. I wouldn't really trust myself with the Lynx bus...my biggest fear is that I would miss the bus and be stranded. So looking at mears it's $18 roundtrip and they pick you up at your resort and drop you off at the gate. Another thing I like is you have them pick you up anytime you want.
Hmmm what to do, what to do.

Ohhh and the more I look into Sea world the more I can't wait! From what I can see you can feed dolphins and sting rays which I've ALWAYS wanted to do! I'm sure there must be an extra fee but can't seem the prices anywhere. Do any of you know? Also is there special times to do this? I was a little skeptical about leaving WDW to head to another park but the whole park looks beautiful. I'm so in to all the sea life and creatures that this will be perfect for me! I'm thinking of going on the Wed the 13th so hopefully it wont be too packed since it's mid-week.
Hopefully sometime this weekend if I have some down time I can try and plan out my park days. I can't believe it's already 88 days left. It's going by so fast!!! :goodvibes

Yeah, you can feed the dolphins and stingrays. I'm not sure of the cost and I think you can only do it at certain times (atleast that's how it was for the sealions). You'll really enjoy Sea World...it really is a nice park. :thumbsup2

Hi Cheryl! Thought I'd pop over from the May WDW Meet thread and say hello. There is likely to be a good group of us at POP. I think we'll have to plan to celebrate your b'day all week--Disney style. Mine is in April but May trips just work better for me.
We are under 3 months now : )

83 more days!
With the countdown getting smaller I figured I better start planning my park days. So this is what I've come to but I'm sure this will change about 100 times before May.
Monday (11th)
Arrive at Pop century
Downtown Disney depending on time
Dinner at Chef Mickey's with Lauren and Jake
Magic Kingdom
Tuesday (12th)
Epcot
Dinner at Turf Club with Lauren and Jake
Magic Kingdom
Wednesday (13th)
Sea World
Back around 6:30ish (I'm assuming)
Resort Hopping-Checking out the Boardwalk!
Thursday (14th)
Animal Kingdom
MGM and catching Fantasmic
Friday (15th)
Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach
Dis meet at the Poly-I think there may be other meets during the weekend too
Saturday (16th)
Downtown Disney
Epcot and catching Illuminations
Sunday (17th-last full day)
Animal Kingdom or MGM
Magic Kingdom
Monday (18th)
Epcot
Of course there will be breaks and spur of the moment plan changes. The only one I'm 100% sure about is the Seaworld day since I have to reserve the Mears transportation. I figure going on a Wed the park will be not as busy.
Well those are my plans as of now. I think they look pretty good. Looks like a lot but as a solo I can get around the parks pretty fast while still enjoying the little details. I can't believe pretty soon my countdown will be in the 70's. I'm so looking forward to Spring and heading down to Disney World! Well I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Valentines day!!!! :lovestruc

It's getting closer!! Your plans look good, how fun that you are going to Seaworld!! It's alot of fun, I haven't been in about 4 years but we loved it. It's not Disney, but still great, I can't wait to hear about it!

I can't believe our trips are coming up so fast! Yaaaaay! Your plans look great! DTD on a Monday afternoon shouldn't be crowded at all & you'll probably be able to see alot without huge crowds. I think you're going to have a blast at SeaWorld, too!

Thanks girl! I've been once (when I was 5). All I can remember is seeing the Shamu show and going up to the glass and having him spash water on the audience. I was so mad that I was soaking wet. Thats all I can remember from my trip to seaworld. :confused3

I will most likely be hanging around the resort on that monday when I get there. My travel day is usually pretty early so I will probably want that time to relax before our dinner!

haha yes, thank goodness for DVC. :goodvibes :wizard: I don't think we'll be going in the summer since we all agree we couldn't take the heat there. :scared:  It's kind of funny though, my sister said she wants to go back (usually she is making fun of me for always saying that!) in May or next Jan. when she's done student teaching. I think May would probably be too soon but who knows what may come up...in the mean time I'll just have fun reading everyone's reports (and finishing mine...)!

Yay, I caught up! I'm going to try and remember the things that I wanted to comment on as I was reading.
Your bird is adorable! I have two cockatiels, but they're grumpy old men that don't really care for anyone but my dad and my sister. :rotfl2:
I loved your pictures from Quincy Market -- I LOVE it there. It's not very far from me. I hate driving in Boston, but it's on the orange line, and there is an orange line station in my city, so it's really easy to get to. I like going there and to the Commons just to take pictures.
I really like all your Disney snowglobes. I can't even tell you how tempted I was by several of them when I was down there. I had to keep on reminding myself that I don't have my own place yet and I really don't have any place for them in my room. That will definitely change whenever I move out.
Finally, I hope you feel better!! I think that there are yucky colds going around -- my sister was sick, and now my cousin has the flu.

Hi Cheryl:
I have to tell you that I check your trip report almost every day even though I don't post anything. You are sooo close to your trip! I hope you are feeling better!
I finally booked a trip of my own - it's a Christmas trip to WDW. I got the offer that you probably got, too, for 40% off. I wanted to wait until the fall schedule came out for my college so that I would be sure finals would be all over with, and it finally was posted on-line this past week. I will be there from December 13 - 18th. Only 294 days to go  :cool1:

Getting so close!! I like your schedule. Once you get back I'll see how your Sea World trip went and decide if I want to plan a day to go! My friend/ex bf has been thinking about joining me and if he comes, we'll take a longer trip, stay off site for part of it and do other things. But if he doesn't come, it's only Disney, but I may make it to SeaWorld if it works for you! :rotfl2:

Thanks Julie! I'm feeling better. I spent the whole weekend at home just relaxing.
Thats so exciting you booked another trip! You are going to love all the Christmas decorations! Oh and that's awesome about that 40% code. Where are you going to stay? My mom actually got the code but gave it to me since she wont be taking a trip any time soon. I didn't use it though because I don't know whats going on after this trip. My friend's parents moved to Germany and we were thinking about going to visit them in August. Her mom is like a second mom to me and told us all we would need is the flight ticket and spending money. Were hoping to go in August but my friend is waiting for her school schedule to come out. We will see!
Hope you had a great weekend!!!

No way would I stay off site for the WHOLE trip! :lmao: I actually keep telling him that we could do the whole trip in Disney. Two weeks of the buy 4 get three deal would work for me! ;) I just don't know how hard it would be to be in Orlando and not be at Disney! If only he would make up his mind! I'm going to call today and switch my POFQ to All Star Movies, saves me $300 or so that I will spend on something else. I wish I could get Pop, but they're booked. I'll just stay at Pop for the short shopping trip to get my fix.

Wohooo 75 days! I've started making some must-do lists since it's getting close.
Here's what I have for the MK:
-The new move it shake it, celebrate it parade. I've seen pictures of this online. It looks like a lot of fun with the dancing in the streets!
-The new updated afternoon parade
-The Haunted Mansion love love this ride. I thought they did a real great job with the refurb on it!
-Big thunder and Splash back to back.
-Pirates Of course I have to hang out with my favorite pirate...Jack Sparrow!
-Astro orbiter at night I've done this ride once and it was so cool to be high above Tomorrowland and seeing all the lights and the Contemporary all lit up!
-CoP Love the song..."It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...."
-Phillarmagic (Thanks jewels1916) Love the music and Donald is just so cute in the movie!
-Ride the Peter Pan attraction [get fast pass] (Thanks Tinkgurl)
-Meet Tinkerbell -This is a MUST MUST MUST Do! (Thanks Tinkgurl)
Sadly Space Mt and the People mover (My favorite ride) will be down during my stay. So sadly I wont get to do those. Anyone have any special things to do at the MK or have anything else I should add that I've forgotten?

-The new move it shake it, celebrate it parade.: Please tell me about this!
-The new updated afternoon parade: Do you know what they've changed?
-The Haunted Mansion : The new bride scares the crap out of me!
-Big thunder and Splash back to back. : As Stacy would say "A Double Whammy!"
-Pirates: Yo Ho, Yo Ho...
-Astro orbiter at night: You're brave!
-CoP: Thanks for singing that freakin' song! Now it's in my head again!
-Phillarmagic : This one always gives me goosebumps
**We always have to get a fast pass for Peter Pan-the line is always llllloooonnnng when we go. So that might be something I'd keep an eye on. Also, you have to go meet Tink in Toontown!

-The new updated afternoon parade: Do you know what they've changed? I'm pretty sure they updated the music and a couple of the floats. Nothing too major.
-The Haunted Mansion : The new bride scares the crap out of me! Haha me too! I always get scared if the ride breaks down or stops in the grave yard scene or the attic. My biggest Disney fear is that HM will break down and we will have to walk off. I know it's all fake but I'm always so nervous in there!
-Big thunder and Splash back to back. : As Stacy would say "A Double Whammy!" I love Stacy! I love when she's in Epcot and goes 'Yummy, yummy, yummy!". :rotfl: I saw a thread on here that she was in DHS taping. So hopefully there will be new Stacy on our next trips!
-Pirates: Yo Ho, Yo Ho... A Pirates life for me
-Astro orbiter at night: You're brave! Have you done it? It's so much fun, you HAVE to try!
-CoP: Thanks for singing that freakin' song! Now it's in my head again! Haha oops...

I love your to do lists! I've never had a crepe in France, but I did have a chocolate cone and I loved it! Something about feeling like I was eating chocolate ice cream in France... ;) I even ordered in French!

Test track and Soarin'- For Soarin'-ask for the first row! Even if you have to wait a turn. It's worth it.
By the way, I just found out about the new Kim Possible thing going on at Epcot...it sounds really cool!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It's been freezing here and tonight were gonna get about a foot of snow. I'm really looking forward to spring finally coming! Bring on the warm weather!!!! :cool1:
Thank you all for all your input on my last 2 park to-do lists! Here is the third part...71 more days!
MGM to-do's! (yea I still call it that. Can't get use to DHS)
See the American Idol Experience-I'm a BIG Idol fan and can't wait to see this. I've heard mixed reviews but I'm hoping it's really good.
Ride the Great Movie ride-Hopefully they will be doing the cowboy scene. I've heard about it but sadly only been on when they were doing the mobster.
Hang out at the Animation Acadmey-This is so much fun! Plus you can't beat a free souvie that you created!
Ride ToT-Ok well try and get up enough courage to ride it again
Ride RnR-Same as above
See the HSM3 Pep rally-I missed this last time because Super Soap weekend was going on.
Ride Toy Story Mainia-So much fun! My personal goal is to have a score high enough to show on the "Todays top 3 scores board"!
See Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast-Never seen the first one and B&B is one of my favorite Disney movies.
Ride the boat from MGM to Epcot or the other way around Did this for the first time in November and it's such a nice peaceful boat ride.
So that's my MGM list. Anyone have anything to add?!

The more and more I visit this park the more I fall in love with it. The themeing is fantastic and I love how Disney is helping with the animal conservation. It's such a beautiful park over all and there is still so much that I haven't seen or done. Here are my must do's for this park:
-Finding Nemo the musical-Love the music and the whole production!
-It's tough to be a bug 3-d movie
-Conservation Station-Never been to this.
-Maharajah jungle trek-Never don this either.
-Kilimanjaro safari-This is by far my favorite attraction at AK. I love seeing all the animals that I most likely would never see. It's not every day you see those animals walking the streets in NH. :rotfl:
-Expedition Everest-This was down on my last trip so I have to ride a couple times to make up for it!
-Dinosaur-This scares me everytime but it's like tradition I just have to ride!
Special photopass pictures-Thanks Disneyfreak06!
Flights of wonder show- Never seen it before. Thanks for the tip Disneyfreak06!
Animal Kingdom PM EMH-Thanks Tinkgurl!
Festival of the Lion King-Thanks Jewels1916 and bbangel
Well that's my list for AK. Does anyone have anything cool to add? Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
up next- Must do's for outside the parks!

I haven't done it, but you should have a photopass picture done where you *hold* Simba. It looks like such a cute picture. I've never done Conservation Station either or Flights of Wonder. I hear that FoW is a pretty neat show.

Have you ever been to AK during evening EMH's? AK is GORGEOUS at night! :cloud9: Plus, EE is even scarier at night! I actually got so scared I had to hold B/F's hand! It's so much fun. Also, they sometimes do a FOTLK during evening EMH's, so you could wait and do that one then when it shouldn't be as crowded!

Festival of the Lion King is a must for me at AK - love that show!

Wohooo 2 months from today I will be on a plane and heading to Orlando! I can't believe how fast the time is passing.
Did anyone hear about or join that D23 club yesterday? Here's a link to Allears that talks about the club Click here! (http://land.allears.net/blogs/dnews/2009/03/disney_announces_d23_the_offic.html) I couldn't resist joining. I figure the subscription to the magazine was amost the price of the membership so why not join. If I find that it's not worth it I just wont renew next year. I'm really looking forward to the magazine and reading the articles.
In other news I've come up with my last to do list. It's a mix of outside the parks and Sea World.
Check out the Boardwalk at night-I heard it just comes alive at night with entertainment and Jellyrolls
Take a ride (or 2) on the MGM/Epcot boat-This ride is just so relaxing and it stops at a few resorts along the way.
Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard beach-Never been to a WDW waterpark so I'm really excited. I still don't know which one I want to go to yet.
Make a treat at Goofy's candy co-must do for every trip
From Sea World:
Take a ride on Sky Tower-This looks cool it gives you a birds eye view of the park and you can even see WDW from it. It rotates as it lifts you up and spins slowly once you reach the top.
http://www.awesomeflorida.com/images/seaworld-sky-tower-b.jpg
Feed as many animals as I can. Dolphins, sting rays, seals-I love sea animals so I can't wait to come up close with them.
Just about everything! :rotfl: -It's so hard since I've never been here (well that I can remember) So what are your must do's?!

Okay trying to bring up my mental map...it's near the turn off for Kali but on the opposite side of the main walkway. So if you were walking from Africa to Asia it would be on your right. You'll see a wooden structure that used to be part of the line for boats that sailed around the AK back in the beginning. Go in there and check it out.

Thanks! We actually just got back and it was a lot of fun. NYC is definitely an exciting city!!
So now I have to go and get caught up on everyone's trip reports...haha. I still say go to Blizzard Beach. We've been to both and we just enjoyed BB a lot more. The slides were better and I love the theming.
I saw the announcement for D23. I am debating joining, the cost is a little much for me. But who knows, I'll probably cave and decide to join anyway. :rotfl:

Hi Cheryl!! Good gravy, I haven't been on the Dis in a long time!! I swear, one of the first things that crossed my mind after logging in was, "I wonder what Cheryl's been up to?" ... and here you are, due to depart in just weeks! From the looks of things, you're acquiring quite a to-do list for when you're in Orlando. We, your humble readers, of course expect photographic evidence of it all! :thumbsup2
And what's this I hear about there not being any meets being planned? That simply won't do! :snooty: ;)

There are a few meets planned with a group from the solo's board and a couple dinner meets. Sadly not with our group from last year though. Megan is heading to Disneyland in May, Julie is going to WDW in Dec and Lindsey hasn't been on the boards too much. I've been keeping up with her on Facebook and hopefully were gonna meet up for a day while I'm down there.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was beautiful here in NH and with the release of the Twilight DVD yesterday one of my friends had a Twlight party last night. Haha yes we are dorks but we had fun anyway!
The boards have been down all day and I have been so excited because I have some news to share. Not really Disney news but very exciting. Turns out I will be taking a trip to Germany in June! My friend Alli (who I've been friends with since we were 9) goes to college in Hawaii so we really don't get to see each other too often. Her parents just moved over to Germany due to her dad's job so instead of coming back to NH over summer break shes going to be heading over there. Her mom has been really lonely since her dad is always on buisness trips so she had Alli invite me along to Germany to visit! This has been in the works for a little bit and to be honest I never thought it was going to happen. Well today I booked my flight ticket and it's official! :cool1: Thank goodness for a nice big tax return!
So what does that mean for my Disney trip....well.....I'm still GOING! :wizard: :cheer2: The whole trip is paid off including meals so I don't have to worry about anything. Just if I want any souvies but I don't think I'm going to need any more Disney stuff. :headache: The only thing that is changing is I wont be headed to sea world. As much as I wanted to go I could use that extra money in Germany or for some Special Disney treats. I figure I can always go to Sea World next time. It's not everyday I can go to Europe. Alli and were talking about even taking the train to France and going to Disneyland Paris! But right now that's just talk. I just had to share this news with you guys and I'm so excited! Disney is just 50 short days away and Germany is one month after that! :woohoo:
I hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks for sticking with me on this PTR!

I don't have any pictures on photobucket, but I'll see what I can do for you. I wasn't near Stuttgart, we flew into Frankfurt, and stayed in little towns called Steinhaus and Margretenhaun I believe, and then we were in Cologne. Take many pictures, that's my only other tip! I found some pictures I thought you most like. A lot of my pictures were of people, as I was trying to record the memories of the people on my trip too, and we didn't do much sight-seeing. I didn't have a digital camera, so all these were just put on CD when I had them developped. My first trip, they didn't even do that! :rotfl: Anyways, it's been so long since I've uploaded to photobucket, I hope I'm doing this right! (My last WDW trip was in 2007, remember?)

I wasn't near Stuttgart, we flew into Frankfurt, and stayed in little towns called Steinhaus and Margretenhaun I believe, and then we were in Cologne. Take many pictures, that's my only other tip! But you're like me, I'm not worried in that sense! :rotfl:
Thank you so much for the tips and pictures. The pictures were beautiful! This whole trip is going to be so different for me. At least when I went to France I knew some French and so much about the history and culture. For Germany I know pretty much nothing. I really have to start doing some research! Thanks so much again for the pictures!

Whoa!! I'm a lil behind, but that's so awesome that you are going to Germany!!! I went to Germany and Austria when I was a freshman in high school, my choir toured the area and sang at several different places, including at Sunday morning Mass at the Dom Cathedral. It was absolutely breathtaking! I know you'll have a great time!! :) It snowed while I was there, granted that was in March! :)

43 days till I'm heading off to FL and WDW. Can't believe how fast it's coming. I think I mentioned this before but the trip is paid in full and now all that's left to do is wait for the Disney packet in the mail with all the package info. Speaking of Disney mail my D-23 club stuff came in the mail yesterday. :banana:Everything seems to be shipped seperate. I got my membership card at the begining of the week and got my second package with the certificate and magazine yesterday.
Heres a look at the cute certificate...

Let me just say just looking at the first issue of the magazine I'm glad I joined. They did such a good job with it and it's more like a book than a magazine. I'm really looking forward to getting more issues as they come out. Here's a look at the cover...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9dd08b3127ccec6eedddb22ac00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Everything came all packaged in clear plastic with a letter from Bob Iger and a D-23 car decal.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9dd08b3127ccec6ef0482c37d00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
There is still one package coming and honestly I don't know what it is. The letter says it's a "special gift from the Disney archive". I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is.
That's all the Disney news I have for now. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! :cool1:

Yay for getting your D23 stuff! It's always fun getting Disney mail. I think I read somewhere that the magazine is supposed to be available at Barnes and Noble so I'll have to see if I can find it.
Make sure you post what the special surprise is!

That's such a bummer that the shipping is so high. My thing was I figured I was going to get the mag anyway ($16 an issue). So four of those would of been $64- $10 less than the club price. I'll be sure to post what the last thing is when it comes.

So you know your trip is getting close when you open your mail box and your magical express tags have arrived! I'm offically 38 days away with my ME tags in hand. Now all I need is the rest of my documents. :hourglass:
I also got my D-23 gift! Here's a picture someone posted on a d-23 thread. (This is much better than the pictures I took)
http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff354/black743/DSC00369.jpg
It's a print from the Disney archives and it's pretty big. Perfect for framing! Not what I was expecting, but still cool! I don't really know what I was expecting.
Anyway this was just a quick update! Happy Friday and hope you have a great weekend! :woohoo:

Wow! What a beautiful gift! I ended up joining D23. I was scared I'd regret it because with the shipping it is around $100, and that will end up being possibly $125 Canadian or more! Yucky. :scared: (Especially with TWO trips planned this summer!) But seeing the gift and that it's nice enough to be framed, it really helps me feel better!

Oh! I totally understand. I used to work in a call center, and I really liked everyone I worked with, but there were certain people who I just could not work near. I had to sit far away from them because their attitudes just sucked the energy out of me! Disney magic certainly helps with that kind of stuff! One month, you're almost there.
You could sing Disney songs in your head when the drama gets going! :lmao:

YUP my documents!!!! I was very excited to get them because I've never done a WDW package (always just booked the room)
There is actually some pretty cool stuff included in the Disney voucher book...

-$15 off at Planet Hollywood restraunt
-A Planet Hollywood free merchandise voucher...anyone know what the merchandise keepsake is?
-Get 90 minutes for the price of 60 for a Sea Raycer rental
-Free round of mini golf at either course
-30 minute free game play at a resort arcade...

Last but not least
-Luggage tags!

Seeing the envelope made me so excited because that means the trip is so close. Looking at all the vouchers I'm going to try to take advantage of a lot of them. Might as well right?! ;) I think the only one I will skip is the Sea Raycer rental. I hope this week I can start packing to go. :cool1:

No, I booked for just before free dining, I used the buy 4/get three promo. I didn't need tickets, since I had tickets already and then upgraded to the QSDP. I don't think I'll do very many TS meals.

I can't believe how fast time is flying. 3 weeks from today I will be arriving at Pop century! Wohoo!
I don't know if any of you know what a Chamilia bracelet is but I wanted to share mine with you. First of all they are a bracelet you add charms to. There are hundreds of charms to pick from and they even have Disney ones! Well I got a new charm yesterday for mine and it is a Disney one so I decided to show you mine! It's a little classic touch of Disney I wear everyday.
So here's my first Disney charm...classic mickey head
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da01b3127ccec6bcf6c15b1400000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Next is a little suitcase with Paris on it and a four leaf clover.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da01b3127ccec6bcf3669a1900000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Next is a blue charm since that's my favorite color and the green since that's my birthstone.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9da01b3127ccec6bc0d8c1bbc00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Now I just found out that WDW sells the Disney charms! I think I may have to pick up another one. I'm wondering if they sell any wdw exclusives. :confused3
Well I hope you all had a great weekend! I actually have today off from work so it's been a nice 3 day weekend. I'm hoping to start doing a little packing today and start making a list of things I need to buy. 21 days to go!

I like that bracelet! I like the idea of having something that is not so "obvious" Disney with me all the time. I love Disney and usually have some obvious Disney on me (clothes, earings, sometimes hair clips etc.), but sometimes I think I want something that I know is Disney, but not everyone else knows it's Disney! I think I'll go for a Pick a Pearl and get a ring or something made.

Thank you! I totally know what you mean. I have so many Disney tee's, jewelry etc but most times I just wear that bracelet and my tink watch. I also got a pick a pearl last year and made it into a necklace.Plus it wasn't crazy expensive. About $15 for the pearl and I believe it was $18 for the setting. Let me see if I can go take a pic of it.

Only 15 more days to go! Today I'm getting out the suitcase and starting to officially pack! :woohoo::woohoo: The more I can get done now the better. Plus I can see what I need to go out and buy.
Oh and has anyone listened to live365 mouseworld radio before? I've had it on all morning and it's great! This station plays all WDW music from the parks. Like this morning I got to hear the rope drop ceremony from the MK. It's really cool! If you are interested go to live365.com then search for Walt Disney World and it's the first station that comes up. The best part...it's totally free!!!
In some other off topic news. (I just had to share this because I'm excited.) My friend and I joined weight watchers a couple weeks ago and our first weigh in was this past tues. Well in one week I lost 4.8lbs! It's not much but it's a start! All the girls at work are all doing it now so we can all help eachother out and it's kind of turned into a fun thing now. I also joined the local YMCA and have been going regulary. :yay: I don't know how well I'll keep it up at WDW but I'm hoping all the walking will work in my favor. Our next weigh in is this coming tues so I'm hoping to see another loss.
The weather is beautiful here in NH...mid 80's! But I'm really looking forward to that FL sunshine. There is just something to having the nice weather and palm trees all around. :thumbsup2
Well I hope you all are having a great weekend! Enjoy the great weather!

Glad you are having nice weather! We had a really nice day here on Friday, sunny and around 80 or so. I took the lake home from school and I swear all of Milwaukee was down at the beach. It was insane! Then yesterday it was cold and rainy. It's still kind of dreary out now.

Thanks for the live 365 site thingy. I'm excited it works in Canada! A lot of free online things do not. They say you have to be in the US. It's playing the music from Illuminations now and I've never seen it, yet it's making me cry because it sounds so Disney!!! :rotfl:
Oh, I got my picture from D23 and my magazine! Thanks for you help in making that decision. I LOVE IT! I actually went out to Michaels and bought a frame. Thank goodness they were 55% off. I now need to find enough wall space in my room for it. I might need to move the "Team Edward Bite Me" towel my nephewe made me for Christmas. (Just over a bit!)
Good for you on the weight loss plan. I have been struggling to fit in some of my clothes lately, so I think I need to lose some too! Good luck.

A while ago I was reading somebody's trip report and they had this link to a site with dozens of songs from the parks. I was able to download a few (for free!) and put them on my ipod. I had the site bookmarked to get more but when I went back to it the site was closed. :sad2: But I got the MK opening song , the Jammin Jungle Parade song, and a couple other things. I wish I would've downloaded more!

You know it's getting close when you can check the weather forcast for your trip! Yes I know it's a bit of a stretch but it's a good seeing your dates pop up and not that long to wait. So as of right now the begining of my trip looks like it's going to be in the upper 80's and plenty of sun! :beach: I just hope the forcast doesn't change (I know it will)...looks like perfect weather to me!!!!
12 days to go!!!

I know you feel my pain though with the people mover being closed. :sad1: Tomorrowland wont be the same on our trips! What will be your first MK ride now?

Lucky!!!
It does stink that Space Mountain and the TTA are closed now. :sad2: I am hoping that by some miracle they open up early so we can ride them on our trip. haha (right now they're scheduled to reopen the day we leave).

I'm so sad the people mover is closed. I know we'll want to go ride it so many times and have to stop and remind ourselves. Hmm..I wonder what our first ride will be now. Maybe the train all the way around back to the front again since we love doing that too.

Oh that sounds like a good first ride since the people mover is closed. It's going to be so quiet in tomorrowland with those rides closed. I will have to keep reminding myself too!

:banana::banana: You're so close!
I looked for my trip in August and the TTA and Space Mountain are scheduled to be closed then too! I have never been on TTA and really wanted to try it this time. Oh well, just means I'll have to go again! :rotfl:

Oh, your trip is so soon! I will be very anxious for your TR, missy! I am bummed for you that the TTA and SM are closed. I just looked on Mouseplanet to see if there was a date that SM was going to be re-opening, and it is going to be opening Nov. 21st, so right before I go. I just hope they don't have to push it back!

That's so awesome that it's going to open before you go! I'm really excited to see what they do with it. You will have to report all about it when you get back! :thumbsup2 I'm crossing my fingers for you that they don't push back the opening!

8 days and counting! Yup finally single digits!!! I decided not to do the online resort check in because I would rather do in face to face. The past few days I've been picking up some stuff for the trip which is finally making it feel like it's around the corner.
I've picked up...
Plenty of hand sanitizer...specially all that talk about the flu

Travel shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, water bottle and a new nail polish. I figure I'll give myself a nice mani-pedi next weekend before I go.

I also made a stop at home depot to pick up some mickey heads!!! I don't know what I'm going to do with them exactly but I will figure something out. I picked up plenty of them. Maybe I'll decorate my resort window. :confused3

Now since it's so close to my trip I usually start watching 1 Disney movie a night. If you've read past trip reports you know all about this. Well tonight was the night that I started and the first movie I picked was.....

Lilo and Stitch!
I just think this movie is so cute! Stitch is one fiesty little guy and I love it! :lmao: Speaking of Stitch I'm looking forward to seeing what his new show/party is all about in Tomorrowland. It's set to open May 6th and not too many details have been released from what I can see.
Anyway that's all the news I really have for now. Hope you all had a great weekend!!!! :woohoo:
