I watch Disney movies before I go too! My Dad says it is to get myself psyched up, but I don't really need anything to get my psyched for Disney. Just say Disney, and I am already pumped! Kelly and I are planning a Disney movie marathon for the night before we leave. She will be coming to Dallas from San Antonio on Friday and staying with me overnight since our flight is at 9:15am. :) We are planning an all-out Disney marathon that night.

It's called Stitch's super sonic dance party (or something like that). from what I've read they tore down the theater that was next to CoP to make backstage parking lot and then a new stage. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Oh and anyone who's seen this movie what kind of animal is Pete? I'm thinking a cat but i'm not sure. haha
Anyway hope you all had a good day!

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't post the movie of the day (MotD) today. I figured I woudl do it today since sadly there isn't going to be one today. I have to work the late shift at work so that means there is no time for a Disney movie.
So last night's MotD was...
http://i3.iofferphoto.com/img/item/829/650/21/o_tn5Ff6APOau0I69.jpg
This movie is cute and my favorite characters would have to be Dopey and Doc. Snow White has never been one of my favorites. Im hoping to meet the dwarfs next week! But I heard they are only out during MNSSHP...but I don't know how true that is.
Oh if any of you are home today just FYI the travel channel is showing some Disney shows now till about noon!
Anyway hope you all have a good day! 5 more days and I'm on my way! :cool1:

They are both good, just really scary. I made B/F keep the tv on last night while we slept! The Strangers is that one with Liv Tyler in it and those people are trying to kill them with those masks on. The commericals on tv showed Liv and her man tied up and they're asking the people "Why are you doing this to us?" and they go "Because you were home."

how many trips a year do you go down there, to have the Annual Pass, is it worth it?

Ohhhh Happy early Birthday to you!!! :dance3: Yup we sure do share the same b-day!
That's exciting you will be down there soon too! Which resort are you staying at?
About the AP- I purchased it in July of 07 and that year (July 07-July 08) I went down 3 times. I ended up re-newing the pass and in this past year (July 08-July 09) I went in November and then this trip coming up. For me it was worth it plus you get extra discounts on your room, lunch meals at Epcot, spa's and DTD. I think for it to be worth it you need to know you are going to use it for at least 2 trips. I believe the break even point is using it for 11 or 12 days.

I like Snow White! Snow White's Scary Adventures was my favorite ride when I was a little kid. Aren't most kids scared of it? My brother was when he was little, and I was mad at him cause I wanted to ride it again, and he was scared. Hehe. I go to sleep with the television on a lot. It's a bad habit, I know. No Disney movies for me last night. Maybe tonight though. I really need to go shopping for Mother's Day.....:flower3:

Ohhh I stayed at CBR last year for a night before taking a Disney Cruise! It's a beautiful resort but was a little too big and quiet for me (being a solo traveler I like seeing people out and about) The night I was coming back from the parks and there was no one around it kind of freaked me out. But it really is a beautiful resort!
I'll be at Pop century :goodvibes

I can see how a kind can be scared of the ride. Didn't Disney go back and change it a bit because it was too scary?
Ohh I really need to go mothers day shopping too.
Did you end up watching a Disney movie tonight? I could really watch one now but I have to get up early and be at work at 8 in the morning. I hate doing the back to back shifts.

Hellooooooo everyone! Sorry I've been MIA the past couple days I've just been so busy. Work was crazy right up untill Friday then that night we went out to celebrate my parents annversary. Yesterday was my friends husbands birthday party and today we are going out to celebrate mothers day and my birthday. Phew, busy busy! Anyway I've been up since 5:30 because I have that "too excited to sleep feeling". Can't believe I'm leaving TOMORROW! As much as I packed last week I still have a lot to do today. :confused3
At 7:15 (less than an hour from now) I'm going to check in with southwest and hopefully get a good boarding pass number. I like to get a good window seat near the front of the plane. Makes getting off the plane a breeze when you are up front. Hopefully if there are no airport delays tomorrow I will be in Orlando at 10:15 and at Pop around 11:15!
So since It's been a crazy couple of days sadly the movie of the day had to take a back seat. But tonight I will be watching...
http://www.laughingplacestore.com/images/products/9528L.jpg.
This is such a good film!!! Beautifully put together and such a tribute to Walt. With out him Walt Disney World would not exist so I think it's only fitting to watch it in honor of him! :wizard:
I'm sure I will update again sometime to day. And hopefully I can update tomorrow morning when I'm at the airport from my ipod using the wi-fi. Looking forward to being at WDW again and can't believe it's only a little more than 24 hours away!
By the way...Happy mother's day to all you mom's out there!:flower3:

Well the bags are packed, clothes out for tomorrow and ready to go! I'm about to head off to bed to try and get some sleep! It's going to be a long day tomorrow if I can't sleep tonight. The alarm is set for 4:30 in the morning and hopefully will be on the road to the airport by 5. One perk is that it's not to far to the airport and it's a small one so there shouldn't be long lines at security. I'll check in once I get to the airport! Thanks everyone for reading along!!!! :wizard:

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay, can’t believe I’ve been home a week already and I'm leaving again so soon! Work has been crazy and I finally just unpacked and finished the laundry. I think that's the worst part of coming home...is doing all the laundry. lol. Anyway like I said before I had such a wonderful trip and I tried a couple new things like the AI experience, new restaurants, the quick service dining plan, Tink meet and greet and a fun story about the POP arcade. Now like I said sorry for the delay and here is the start of my TR!
Thanks for sticking with me guys!
May 11-
The alarm went off at 4:30 this morning. Any other day I would most likely be very grumpy but today I was a few short hours from being back at Disney World. I took my shower the night before and laid out all my clothes. My goal was to be on the road at 5 and at the airport between 5:20 and 5:30. Everything at the airport went really smooth and I did notice hand sanitizer stations all around due to the swine flu outbreak. Once through security I had about an hour and a half to kill. So I surfed the dis and checked out my facebook. Before I knew it I was boarding the plane and what seemed to be a short while after that I was finally in Orlando!
I made my way to the magical express check in counter and there was no wait. In fact the check in process has changed. You don’t even have to check in at the counter anymore unless your reservation has changed. Where the bus lines are there is a podium and the CM there just takes your ME ticket and directs you which lane to stand in depending on which resort you are staying at. When I joined the Pop century line there was only about 4 families before me but by the time the bus actually came (maybe 25 minutes) the whole line was packed.
All the people waiting to get on the bus...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec779b536970300000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Getting close...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec7782ed2764e00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
After about a 30 minute ride on the ME bus we were finally pulling into WDW property!
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec779d892d70900000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Pop century is just a short ride from the gates and we were there in a flash. I got off the bus and took in a deep breath of that FL air. It was about 85 degrees today and beautiful. Not to humid…just perfect. I went inside to check in and there wasn’t any line. The woman that checked me in was very nice and handed me a birthday button! I was assigned a room on the 4th floor of the 70’s section. My room was ready so I went to drop off some stuff before heading to the parks.
My room number...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec778500cf79f00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
My first stop after seeing my room was Downtown Disney. I wanted to try planet hollywood since I had a $15 off coupon (by booking a package). I made my way out to the bus stop and I found that all the busses had the Celebration balloons on them (along with the monorails)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec7788d05365000000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I got to PH around 12:15 and there was practically no one in there.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec77957db979f00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Maybe 6 families all together. Let me just say this about PH it was cool seeing all the movie memorabilia but I don’t think I would go back again. The food was ok, nothing special and the service was sooo slow. It was a one time ‘glad I tried it, not going back again’ kind of place.
The place is 3 floors all themed by catagories of movies. I was on the first floor and here's a view looking up.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec779c9fc97f700000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I love the movie Titanic and the circle thing on the right (I don't know if you can see it) is a prop from that.
Also I love Hocus Pocus and here is one of the dresses from that movie.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db03b3127ccec779def0565800000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
After lunch I wanted to try the ‘Characters in flight’ balloon but it was down due to the wind. (this seemed to be a common trend in all the times I tried to go up) I was really disappointed. It seemed to be such a perfect weather day but I guess the balloon guys saw it otherwise. I then made my way over to the market place just taking in the beautiful weather and enjoying the moment. I poked around the World of Disney store for a bit and decided I wanted to make my way over to the Magic Kingdom and see how long the line for the Tinkerbell meet and greet was.
Up next...I'm home! Magic Kingdom here I come!

Whoo! You are there! The new stuff on the buses look cool!
Okay, this is totally random but...I'm so glad you posted something about "Hocus Pocus" because I was trying to think of the name of this movie FOREVER last night and it was driving me nuts!

I love it! I love reading your TRs. You are so detailed and add tons of pictures. I might try PH this summer too, since I got a package. It might be fun to just try it and to take pictures. Did you just walk up?
Have fun packing for Germany!

So the Disney ME check in has changed, eh? Does it go faster this way? When I went in September, I think the line to check in for ME was the longest line we stood in! :rotfl:

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Last night my brothers and I went to go see Disney/Pixars new movie UP in 3-d. Let me just say it's so good! Such a cute story! If you are looking for something to do this weekend or next definatly go and see this movie! Haha end of my little side note!
From Downtown Disney I took the bus from the marketplace to the Contemporary then from there it was the monorail! I just love the monorail and I could seriously ride it all day and be content. Anyway I made it to the Magic Kingdom and took it all in. You know when you have that ‘I’m here’ moment…well mine is walking through the tunnels and hearing the music of Main St.

I decided to take the train over to toontown and see how long the line for the fairy meet and greet was.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76bb415b6eb00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

When I got to the judges tent there were 2 lines. One for the Princess’ and the other for Tink and her friends. The line for the Princess’ was 20 minutes while the wait for Tink was 35! I was actually pretty shocked because I read on here that the lines were pretty bad at 75+ minutes. So without hesitation I hopped in line.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76a806617fe00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

When you finally get to the front of the line a CM takes a small group into the next hallway where it is all decorated like a forest and as you go down the trees get bigger and bigger. Making it seem like you are shrinking down to fairy size and you can see a trail of pixie dust flying around.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76ab50c571600000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
The CM then takes you into the next room (Pixie Hollow) where Tink and 2 of her friends are. When I got in there Silvermist, Fawn and Tink were in there. It’s so cute they really take the time to talk to you and they all interact with each other. You basically have the attention of all 3 while it’s your turn. That’s why I’m figuring the lines get crazy long. But I think it’s totally worth it!
They were so much fun to talk to! If you love the Tink movie you have to do this meet and greet!
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76b67d2f6dd00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Sorry thats a picture of a picture. All the pictures from my meet and greet were all taken with photopass (I totally forgot to ask if they could use my camera too).
After you meet with the fairies you leave the room and head down the exit hallway which is decorated with pixiedust! Disney really doesn’t leave anything unturned.

I’m sorry I don’t really have many pictures for the rest of the day because I was just so excited to be there and enjoying the moment. (No worries though there are tons for the rest of the tr.)
After meeting with Tink and her friends I headed over to Fantasyland and rode It’s a Small World and saw the Phillarmagic show. The lines weren’t bad at all. Everything I saw was 20 minutes or under except for Peter Pan. Spending some time in Fantasyland I made my way back to Main St just to hang out for a bit and people watch. Spending time on Main St is one of my favorite things to do at the MK. Just the sighs, sounds and smells just bring back so many memories. It truly is one of my ‘happy places’.
It was getting late at this point and it had been a long day. I decided to head back to Pop and go for a swim then head off to bed for my first full day at WDW and my birthday!

I thought it was so much faster! All the CM does at the check in is rip out one of the pages of your ME book and write down how many bags they need to pick up. Then your off on your way. Fast and easy!

For what it's worth the day I met them it was a Monday afternoon around 4:30 when I got in line. I've also read that another way to hit short lines is to be there right at Toontown rope drop.

I think you do convince me a lot! I like to see what others think of things. And I get the impression that you and I like the same things, at Disney at least! So yup, you convince me!
Speaking of convincing me, my friend might drive his mom down to see a cousin in Naples, FL, spend some time there, and then drive up and do Disney with me. I may end up at Sea World after all. That's if he can convince his mom to go down there! LOL If I do, I'll take tons of pictures to show you!

Hey guys!!! I’m so sorry this has been a long time coming. I’ve been so busy but I promise that once I get back from Germany I will be posting on a more regular basis!!!
May 12
So I was awaken this morning not by my mickey wakeup call but rather my family calling to wish me a happy birthday. I quickly got dressed and headed out to Epcot! I was super excited to hit my favorite park (tied with the MK) and see the Flower and garden festival. I made my way to the bus stop and there was no one in line…that usually means you just missed the bus. Sure enough one had just come and went. this trip I noticed something with the busses. They seemed to be like clockwork just about 20 minutes apart. For some reason I remember them coming closer together. Anyway when I made it to Epcot it was a little after 9 and I headed to the ticket window to get my birthday gift. The CM at the window was super nice and gave me the option of a fastpass for the day, a park ticket to use within the year or a giftcard worth the price of a one day ticket. I picked the last choice. The CM wished me a happy b-day handed me my giftcard and a b-day button and I was off to enjoy the park.
Once through the gates my first stop is always Spaceship earth.

I just love this ride! From the music and smells (haha I know that sounds crazy). I really like the new updates to it too with the touch screens and designing your future.
After riding SE I noticed these cute little bird topiaries from fantasia.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76afc81961700000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I then saw a sign outside innovations (east, I believe) for the new Kim Possible attraction and I figured I would head inside and see what it was all about. When you go in there are touch screens on the wall and they walk you through what the attraction is. If you choose to do it then you slide your park ticket, enter how many people are playing then a ticket prints out (like a fastpass with a time and location to report to).

I made my way up to the Land and the line for Soarin’ was already 30 minutes so I decided to check out the Circle of life film since I’ve never seen it before. I waited maybe 5 minutes before we were let into a huge theater. Who would of thought that huge theater was there…not me that’s for sure. The film was really good and sends a good message. I was glad I took the time this trip to see it.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9db10b3127ccec76a123496d500000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

After the film the line for Soarin’ only grew so I headed over to Journey into imagination which was a walk on. After riding this I ALWAYS have that song stuck in my head. I still had time before the world showcase opened and I had to be in Norway so I hung around the Kodak photo lab that’s at the end of the ride. I ended up making this dorky picture of myself. Lol

I made my way over to the Kim Possible check in in Norway and was given my ‘Kimunicator’ (cell phone).
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d829b3127ccec705d956e67b00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
It runs through some quick instructions on how to use the kimunicator. I was told to head over to China and wait for my assignment. Once in China my kimunicator started talking and sent me on some missions through the country. It was so cool because once infront of what you were sent to find…the item would actually have a reaction. It’s so hard to explain but some would move or things would appear that weren’t there before. Like this one...it appeared in the middle of the pond in China.

If you are in epcot defiantly give this a try! After my mission I was given the chance to do another or turn in my device at a drop location. I decided to drop it off and continue on and enjoy the world showcase.
Up next…around the world then the craziest weather in Florida I’ve EVER seen!

Cute pic of you and Tink! I'll have to say, I saw the movie TinkerBell for the first time this weekend. I was a little hesitant, but I LOVED it! I watched it with my sister, and she and I both thought it was so cute! Can't wait to read about your birthday! I hope it was full of Disney Magic!
Thanks! Isn't it such a cute movie?!
I still haven't seen the Tinkerbelle movie. I need to put that in my Netflix queue! :wizard:
It's really cute!!! I think you will like it! :goodvibes
Aw, Tink! :goodvibes

8 days to Germany!
 I for one can wait until you come back from Germany for your TR, as long as you make sure to post pictures from your trip there too!
Ahhh it's 3 days away. I have so much to do and I feel so unprepaired. This is so not like going to Disney. haha!

So after dropping off my "kimmunicator" I headed off around the world just taking in the sights and smells. I made it to over to the international gateway and decided to get on the boat. The weather was beautiful and I was in the mood to just relax. So a nice boatride over to the studios was just what I was in the mood for.

The famous Jellyrolls... (I still have yet to check this place out. Hopefully in the future!)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d829b3127ccec704798d478c00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
When I got to the studios I decided I wanted to head over to Downtown Disney to see if the balloon was up. I hopped on the closest resort bus (I don't even remember which one I went to) and switched to the DTD bus from there. When I got to DTD I headed right to the characters in flight balloon and of course it was down. I guess it was too windy for the balloon to fly. Since it was down I decided to just walk around since I had dinner reservations at Saratoga springs at 5:15.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d800b3127ccec73e82208a6100000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
After some walking and people watching the weather started to turn for the worse...real fast! The sky turned real dark and the wind was really blowing. I was really hoping it was going to be just a quick thunderstorm since I wanted to see wishes later in the night. I headed over to the westside bus stops to catch a bus over to Saratoga Springs (SSR). It was still a little early but I figured I could explore the resort a bit since I had never been there before. As soon as the SSR bus pulled up the sky opened up and it started to pour buckets.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d800b3127ccec73fdbb76b3e00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
When I made it to SSR it was still pouring buckets so there wasn't too much exploring to be had. My main goal was to get over to the Turf club with out being soaked. At the covered bus stop I dawned my poncho and then headed off to find the turf club. It took me about 10-15 minutes in and out of covering to find the place. When I got there I decided to hang outside the resort lobby and just watch the rain hoping it would clear. I'm not even kidding when I say this but 5 minutes later it started to hail! Full on marble sized hail...in FL! Some of the resort CM's actually came outside to see it! The hail was boucing all over the place so I figured it would be safer to head inside. So thats exactly what I did and found a nice cozy seat over by the DVC booth. When It was about 5 I headed down the hall to the Turf club to check in.

All down the hall are Jockey jackets since that seemed to be the theme. I thought this one was really cute...

I was seated right away at a 2 person table overlooking the outside deck.
Sorry it's blurry...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d800b3127ccec73f09546bb400000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
My meal here was nothing too exciting. It was good but not great, I kind of wished I planned something at one of the parks or at the Poly. Anyway it had stopped raining during my meal and I was excited that I would be able to see wishes. But when I went to pay for my meal the sky opened again and started to rain. UGH! After dinner I took the bus back to DTD and let me say SSR is HUGE! We must of made 4 or 5 other stops to pick up guests at the resort. When I made it to DTD it was still pouring. I went into Goofy's candy co to make a treat using one of my snack credits. I talked to one of the CM's in there and they said the rain was here to stay for the night. My plans to see wishes were out the window. I decided then to head back to the resort and call it a night. Now I usually don't give up in the rain but it was just pouring too much and I wasn't in the mood to fight the rain.
I caught the next bus back to Pop. When I got to my room there was a suprise waiting for me on my table.
A mickey birthday card, a couple towel animals and a big bag.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d800b3127ccec73ea46f8a3d00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

A quick call home and I found that my parents had ordered it for me! I was really suprised and happy. It was really thoughtful of them to call and do that for me.
I spent the rest of my night eating a slice of cake and watching the American Idol season finale (night 1). Not exactly the perfect birthday night ending I wanted but it was still nice none the less!
Up next day 3!

Day 3-AK and Typhoon lagoon
I woke up the next morning excited to head out to the Animal Kingdom. Looking out my window the sky was blue and the sun was out...looks like a perfect day! I got ready and headed out to the busses. I believe I waited about 15 minutes before a bus came.
When I made it to the AK it was already turning out to be a hot morning. I made it a little after rope drop so other guests were already heading into the park.

Now after riding I always feel like I left my stomach at the top. And yes I will admit I still scream just a little bit on this ride. I just can't help it.
Anyway after getting on I jumped in the single rider line and rode 4 more times! :woohoo:
After my EE adventures I headed over to the safari. On my way look who I found...

When I made it over to the safari the wait time was posted at 50 minutes! As long as it was I was hoping the line would move faster. Well....it didn't. It was getting hot and muggy out so I could't wait to get on the ride and get moving. Well after almost an hr it was safari time!
I took tons of animal pictures so I will try not to bore you and only post a few.

The driver was really great! One of the best that I've had at this attraction! He was just so into his character and was really excited when the kids spotted the animals.
After the safari I decided it was too hot out so I was going to head back to Pop for a quick lunch then after change and head over to Typhoon lagoon for the afternoon.
So that's exactly what I did.
Here are some pictures from my balcony at Pop.

After changing and dropping some stuff off in the room I was off to typhoon lagoon. (sorry no pics from TL I left the camera in the room)
When I got to the park there were quite a few people heading in.
My first stop was getting a locker rental for my towel/shoes and clothes. I know it's Disney but I just hate leaving my stuff around. After getting my locker I headed over to the wave pool. Now this was the biggest wave pool I've been in and it was tons of fun! Those waves can carry you pretty far!
Next stop was the lazy river. I must of went around I don't know how many times. It's so relaxing! The next thing I knew the lifeguards were telling us if there was a ride we wanted to see we better do it now because there were storms coming and they will be closing down at the sight of lightning. Ugh! (it acually was ok because TL was going to close in an hr anyway) The sky was getting dark and I decided to just go and change and head back to pop and drop off my bathing suit and head to the MK. I'm glad I did because as soon as I made it on the bus to pop it started to pour! I made it back to my room picked up my park bag and headed out to the bus. At this time the storm had passed!!!
Up next-short visit to the MK and meeting up with a fellow Diser!

Can't wait for the next installment!

I dropped some stuff off in my room and made my way back to the busses. I didn't wait long before the bus to the MK came. I wanted to make it in time for the Move it, Shake it, celebrate it street parade. I made it to the MK with time to spare so I made it down Main St to the hub to grab a spot for the show.

The parade makes it's way down Main St then stops all around the hub for a 15-20 minute show. The weather was perfect and slowly people started to gather around the hub. A few miutes later the music started and we could see the show coming around.

After everyone is directed back to the curb and the Cm's do one more number before the floats start off in motion again back down main st.
I know a lot of people don't like the street party at DHS but this one is not to be missed!!! The music is great and it's just a blast! I really couldn't get enough of this! Be sure to check it out!
After the street party I was getting ready to head over to tomorrowland when I got a text from my friend Lindsey (a fellow diser) asking if I still wanted to meet up later in the night. We had talked about it before I left but we kind of left it up in the air depending on her work schedule. I told her of course (specially since it's been a while since we met up). We decided to meet by the balloon at DTD at 7:30. So looking at my watch and knowing Disney transportation can take a while I needed to head over now.
I left the MK and took the monorail over to the GF. I know I could of gotten off at the CR but I had to head over to my fave resort!
I know I've said this a million times here but I just LOVE this resort! When I walked into the lobby the band was playing on the balcony.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7de60ec757800000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

I couldn't stay to listen to them I had to get down stairs and get on the DTD bus. There must of been 3 DHS busses that came but none for DTD. Before I knew it 30 minutes had gone by and still no bus! Finally one did come about 5 minutes later. I was finally on my way to DTD. I got off at the west side stop and made my way over to the Characters in flight balloon. Lindsey was already waiting for me! We were hoping to check out the balloon but of course it wasn't operating...too windy. We walked down to the end of the market place just catching up and figuring out what we wanted to do. We decided to head over to T-Rex and see how long the wait was. It ended up not being bad only 20 minutes. We saw that the bar had a few open seats and asked if we could sit there. We were told we could and were seated there with no wait.

Since we were celebrating our b-days (mine the day before and her's 3 days later) we decided to treat ourselves to drinks. She got a cotton-tini and I got this.

The food was good. I would say better than Rainforest Cafe and the atmosphere was really cool too! I would definatly go back on my next trip.

After dinner we walked around a bit then headed off to our seperate ways since the next day she was starting her birthday vacation. It was so great to see Lindsey again and I'm glad we got to meet up!
I headed off down to the market place to check out the art store again. I ended up getting a nice poster of the castle with Tink. You can see the GF and monorail in the background. I just love it! After that I decided to head back to Pop for the night to get some rest.

Great update! I've never been through the main EE queue - always the single rider line which, let's face it, is nothing to write home about! I've also never seen (or was completely oblivious to) Devine. My To-Do list keeps getting longer and longer. :faint:
Can't wait for the next installment!
Haha I don't even think the single rider line is 10ft long. It is just so boring to look at but hey you never wait very long.
Devine is cool to see but shes not something I would wait and plan my schedule around. I just happen to always catch her when shes out.
Sounds you had great timing missing that storm! :thumbsup2
I scream on every roller coaster. Its crazy. Even Space Mountain! I can't help it, its just so much fun!
Haha I scream on Space Mt too! Which by the way I can't wait to see what they have done with it!

May 14
So this morning I woke up and decided to head over to MGM (it will always be MGM to me). Anyway I will admit this is my least favorite park and I didn't spend too much time there. I made it to the park and my 2 main goals were to see the HSM3 pep rally and check out the new AI attraction. I'm a BIG AI junkie.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7deca36f4c700000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

I made it to the park a little later than I usually do so I didn't have to wait long for the first HSM party.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7dea316b44b00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
The float makes it down the street towards Mickey's hat then they stop infront and thats where the show takes place. It was quite hot that morning and the CM's did a great job. The music is fun and the kids and some adults really get into it.

The show was fun and a must see for HSM lovers. I will say though after seeing all 3 I think my favorite pep rally would have to be the first one.
After the HSM show I headed over to the new AI attraction. It was a little early for the show (about 30 minutes) but I wanted to make sure I got in.
Outside of the building there is a huge screen and it plays clips of Ryan Seacrest and some AI alumni asking if "you have what it takes".
There is also a CM outside directing you into the buiding's waiting area.
Everyone hangs around while there is a movie with Justin Guarini (season 1 second place) has a mini idol show.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7de6526352800000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Once it got close to showtime an AI worker came out and got the crowd pumped for the show. When everyone was ready the AI music started (the theme song) and we were let into the theater. Now let me say they did a great job! It looks so much like the AI stage.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7deddd3b4b100000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I found a seat right up front and when everyone was seated the same guy who pumped up the crowd outside came out again. He explained how everything worked like the 'golden ticket' and how you vote.
Next we were introduced to the host and the judges. I will just say the judges were wayyyy over the top specificly the one who played the "Randy character".
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7df545c559e00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Next we were introduced to the singers...
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7dfd9a815b400000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
They all sang one song then we were able to vote for our favorite who would go on to the Finale show at the end of the day.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7de9757352000000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
The show was fun and lasted about 30 minutes. I was glad I checked it out and would definatly do it again.
After leaving the AI theater I headed over to 'One Man's Dream' (OMD).
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d924b3127ccec7df7c4dd4ab00000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQ e3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

This time around there seemed to be quite a few people checking out OMD. I was glad to see this, since I've seen so many people walk in and realize it's not a ride then walk out. :(
After OMD I headed over to Toy Story Mania and the line was so long. I decided not to ride and just walk around then head out for a bit.
Up next Epcot.

Sadly Lindsey isn't on the Dis much anymore. She has so much going on. I loved all her TR's too hopefully she will get back on the dis. :)

I have to say I've never been to OMD! :confused3 I'll definitely check it out in August now that I understand what it actually is! Great pictures :thumbsup2 of the pep rally.
The trip was great, it was tough sometimes because my sister gets motion sickness on any type of vehicle, and is nervous in most of them on top of that! :rotfl: But she made it, and we spent a TON of money. Much more than I had planned. I bought all kinds of Disney kitchen items, like silverware and cooking utensils. We made it to Prime Outlets too and I spent a bunch at the Disney Character Warehouse too. Great prices on Halloween and Christmas items, and anything that had 2008 on it was 1/2 price. It was nice. I bought a Christmas throw for $17.99!!! :scared1:
It was really hard on our 2nd full day/last full day (yes, very short!) when we pulled up at MK to take the monorail to the hotels. I wanted to go to MK. I was ready to pay my sister's ticket too! We didn't though, we stuck with the plan and we toured some hotels and the Boardwalk and then went back to DTD. I just kept telling myself that I'd be back in just over 3 weeks!

Hey everyone!!! Sorry I've been so MIA lately I needed sometime away from the Dis. 2 of my family members have been really sick. My 92 year old grandpa needed emergency surgery a couple weeks ago and it was such a big risk because of his age. Usually at that age you don't want to put anyone under because their heart may just stop. But I'm happy to report he came out of it and is doing ok now. My other family member on the other hand isn't fairing too well. My aunt has had a lot of issues over the past year and has been in the hospital for the last month. She had two ulsers in her stomach the size of grapefruits and one ended up bursting causing internal bleeding which the dr's couldnt control for a while. She is in so much pain and they finally just moved her out of ICU on Friday. The dr's are waiting till some of the swelling in the other ulser to subside so they can operate. Till then she continues to be in a lot of pain. Hopefully you guys can send some positive thoughts her way!
But I didn't abandon you guys and I'm determined to get this TR done. I hope you all have had a good summer (can you believe it's almost over?). Hope you will continue to join me in this report. Look for the next update tonight or tomorrow!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words! Sadly there is no new news on my aunt. She is still in so much pain and so medicated that she doesn't even know whats going on. My uncle is taking it pretty hard and we are helping him out as much as we can. I just want to thank you guys for keeping my aunt and my family in your thoughts, it means a lot! But enough of all that sad stuff...on to some Disney fun!:wizard:
So where I last left off I was heading out of the park. I hopped on a resort bus and slowly made my way over to Epcot. The weather was beautiful and it's always so welcoming to see the topiary's from the F&G fest.

I walked all around taking pictures of the beauty of the park.

After taking a ton of pictures I headed toward the Land pavilion to ride "living with the land". I just love this ride. There is just something about it and I have to ride it at least a handfull of times.

Always amazed at the pumpkins 'earning their ears'.

After riding living with the land I headed over to the world showcase to enjoy the country performers. I walked from Canada straight over to Morrocco since I had my mind set on gettin a henna tattoo before the daily afternoon rain shower.
There wasn't a line and I quickly picked out my design I wanted. And in a few short minutes my tattoo was done. The henna (consistancy of mud) has to dry and it will slowly fall off. It leaves a 'stain' on your skin where the design is. Here was my tattoo before the henna fell off.

I then made my way over to Japan (my favorite pavilion) and caught the story teller. She was really good and very entertaining. She was so sweet and she posed for a picture after she was done.

Now at this point I realized the Voices of Liberty were going to be performing at the American pavilion very shortly so I hi-tailed it over there. I made it just in time. This was the second time I've seen them perform and they are wonderful! Be sure to check them out! The sky outside was begining to look pretty dark so I stayed around and watched that show in the American pavilion hoping that if it rained it would be over by the time I came out.

Ugh for the life of me I can't remember the name of the show right now. I will say it's a bit long. Specially for the little kids in the theater, most of them were starting to squirm all around. After the show I headed outside and realized it hadn't rained. The sky was actually darker at that time then before. I headed outside figuring I could head to the next country. Well the wind started to blow really hard and I figured I should head back to future world. Well I got as far as Mexico before the skies opened up. I rushed the rest of the way and headed into innoventions east I believe. (Which ever one is on the left when you are looking at SSE. I found a back door and it was such a nice quiet space with no one around. All on the walls was the history of Epcot and it was really interesting to read and look at the pictures as the rain fell outside. I decided to sit and relax when before I knew it a door was opening and a CM and Marie was coming out. The cm saw me take her picture and offered to take my picture.

I thought it was such a sweet gesture since I don't get too many character pics being a solo traveler. Since no one was around the CM and marie spent some extra time with me which was really fun. The rain started to get harder at this point so I put on my poncho and headed back over to the land to grab some dinner at the seasons court downstairs. It was getting late at this point and it was still pouring outside. I headed out and decided to ride SSE another time and head back to Pop to relax and call it a night. But before leaving the park I always stop at my leave a legacy tile...

The trip back to pop was pretty uneventful but I just have to say that when I opened my door I got another nice suprise. A few towel animals and a towel birthday cake left for me by 'mouse-service'!

It was so sweet of her to make these for me. Everytime I would see the mouse-service cm on my trip she would always say hi and happy b-day to me. So sweet! It's always CM's like this that keep me coming back to WDW. Anyway after seeing my suprises I called home to check in then headed off to bed for my next day! :goodvibes

Cheryl! I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm sorry about your grandpa and your aunt. Sending some pixie dust!
We just got back from our trip today :sad2: so now I've got to go catch up on everyone's reports. Don't worry, I didn't abandon yours! Still subscribed. :)

Hi everyone! I've been MIA for so long now :(. So much has happened in the past few months. My grandpa is doing much much better and no side effects from surgery. My aunt on the other hand came home from rehab and ended up not having surgery due to some complications. But shes at least home, feeling better and finally went back to work last month after a couple months out. We have had some more bad news as my dad lost his job at the end of september and since then everything has kind of been turned upside down. I wish this post could be more happy and positive and I'm sorry I've been gone so long. I hope you all are doing well and wish all my friends in the US a happy Thanksgiving this week.

Hey Cheryl, so good to hear from you! I'm sorry about everything that's been going on with your family. :guilty: My dad lost his job too almost 2 years ago now.
Hope you have a good Thanksgiving! It's hard to believe it's almost December.

No worries about being MIA. I'm glad to hear that your grandpa and aunt are feeling better. Sorry about your dad losing his job. The *joke* here where I'm from (we're considered the 'have nots' in the Atlantic Canadian provinces) is that the recession didn't hurt us much because we didn't have anything to lose. It's been tough all over though. Hope things work out okay for you and your family.
