That's a great deal on airfare! I'm still waiting and watching for flights for us in September (that currency exchange is harsh :headache:). I'm glad things are looking a lot better on the home front :thumbsup2
I loved our UG (it was last year's Unofficial Guide to WDW With Kids) - so helpful and informative! This year, I purchased the Passporter (I'm a sucker for the pockets in the back)
I need to go borrow the current UG from our library (if they have one) - so I can access that crowd calendar pirate:
Oh, and a big wooohooo for not having to pay for checked bags! :cheer2:

We booked tickets too today...just updating my PTR with our details! We fly in on the 30!!!
WOO!!! I tried to convince Aaron to come back on the 30th instead, but he wanted to get home on Saturday to relax before class starts. BOO!! Oh well, I'm still really excited we found such a great deal on Southwest. Don't you love them? I'm really happy that we don't have to worry about all those extra fees for checked luggage! Now I can bring back all the souvenirs I want. :rotfl:
Glad things are turning around for you. Me thinks that is a great deal on airfare. :thumbsup2
I borrowed someones UG in 2004 and loved it so much I have purchased two since then. The 2006 one I let someone borrow and they never returned :headache: and the 2007 one I bought and read from cover to cover!! I have been interested in TGM and how they differ. After you get a chance to look at both would you mind doing a comparison for me?
Thanks!! I just need to have a little Disney magic and I'm back in business!!!
UG is so addictive!!! I used to look at it every time I went into a bookstore. So now, I finally decided to get my own copy. I'll definitely do a comparison b/t it and TGM. I'm still undecided if I really think TGM was a smart idea for me. I'm hoping it will be better next month, once the hours are FINALLY posted. ::crosses fingers::

I'm sending you LOTS of good airfare price vibes. :goodvibes
I'm going to have to check out the Passporter. Everyone has been raving about it and it's snazzy pockets. :lmao:
Wow, you have an awesome idea! I would definitely get UG from the library to gain access to Touringplans...good thinking. :thumbsup2 I'm sure others would flame us for that, but I think it's a brilliant idea!
Yeah, aren't those fees for checking bags ridiculous?! I mean, $15 PER BAG?! Not to mention charging for seat assignments, blankets, etc...What's next, peanuts and water? :scared:

Hi Kirsten! Just found your PTR while reading somebody else's (I noticed your ticker was very similar to mine...looks like we'll be there right around the same time as you!) and thought I'd join in.
I haven't read everything yet but enjoyed your post about the summer. We also have never been during the summer (and again like you, swore we never would!). Our closest experience was when I went in Oct. a couple years ago with my dad and sister when Orlando had record high temperatures-it was in the 90s every day and really humid. So I'm thinking if I could survive that summer will be OK!
Can't wait for more!

Here goes my first attempt at an itinerary...obviously, this will change (MULTIPLE TIMES) until August -- especially when the park hours are released. But, based on the crowd calender on Touringplans, I wanted to take a stab at it. It looks like the parks are mostly 5's, with a couple 7 day's mixed in. I've been to the parks on 5 days, and I thought the crowd levels were great! I'm hoping this is true again this year. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
Sunday, August 23

Yay...welcome to my random PTR!!! Isn't it funny how you swear you'll never do Disney in the summer, yet when it comes down to it...you just can't pass up a trip to WDW!! We went last October, and it was pretty dang hot and humid, too. But, I figure as long as we are smart about it I'm sure we'll be just fine. Besides, a scorching hot day at Disney is still better than being at home...right? :thumbsup2
I'm on my way to check out your PTR right now. :)

My persistence paid off!! Or, maybe someone just thought I needed a break. Either way, I was ecstatic to get such a great deal. I saw over on the "Transportation" board that some people weren't getting that great of deals for Southwest. I guess it was pretty hit or miss.
Thanks...me too! I was so impressed with them before, and now I'm in love. HA!! They have really been great (and easy) to work with. Plus, you can get really great discounts on tickets!
UG is awesome!!!! I'm so glad I finally bought a copy. It's about time. :-)

Of course, thanks for stopping by!! I love to have readers. :goodvibes I just visited your PTR and am getting ready to post all my favorites. Although, I don't really have a favorite Disney restaurant...isn't that crazy? My family never really ate at any table service restaurants and my DH is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to food. SAD! :sad2:
WDWRocksMySocks

So, we FINALLY made a decision on the whole free dining debate. DH said he would, but since he's already grumpy about WDW I figured I wanted him to at least get food he liked. I still don't understand why he doesn't like any Disney table service restaurants. He's a weirdo! :sad2: I let him go through all the menus and I even highlight things I thought he'd like. But, he was just NOT too enthused by it all. LOSER! No, I'm kidding -- I really do love my DH, even if he is raining on my Disney parade. At least we're going, right?:yay::banana:
I did convince him to go to Whispering Canyon Cafe with me! I've always wanted to try it and so he agreed to that. Although really, I think he'll probably just sit there and watch me eat more than anything. Whatever, as long as I have fun that's all that matters -- right? :rolleyes1 Our 90 day window is May 25, which also happens to be Memorial Day. That shouldn't effect making ADR's, will it? It better not! :headache:
Here are the QS places we will probably go to:
Magic Kingdom
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe -- LOVE this place!!
Peco Bill's
El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante -- I'm sure this place won't be open, but if it is we're going. I love this place, but it's ALWAYS closed while we're there. BOO!
Animal Kingdom
Pizzafari - For DH
Flame Tree - For me
DHS
Toy Story Pizza Planet
Epcot
Boulangerie Patisserie
**Amazingly enough, DH and I don't really care for food at Epcot. Ha, I'm sure people consider this blasphemy. :lmao: But, we do love those French pastries!!

I broke down and FINALLY got my hair done (highlights and a cut). It had been nearly six months since I had it cut and about three months since I had it colored. My roots were looking a bit...rough, shall we say?
Of course, I had to take some pictures to share with you all (and for Facebook to show some friends on there-- feel free to add me: kirstenmphillips@gmail.com, I'm an addict). Here are some pics:

We ended up nixing the DDP too. This will be our first trip without it. Neither of us are huge eaters, so the dining plan only saves us money if we each order an entree, drink and dessert, which we wouldn't normally do. I still booked a few TS restaurants but it's kind of nice not having to worry about credits and just going with the flow! Now we can share meals whenever we want and order the cheapest thing on the menu and not worry about getting "good value" for our meals. We are planning on getting the TIW card though.:thumbsup2 It's going to be interesting doing Disney without the DDP but we can branch out together.;)

Thanks!! Isn't hair a funny thing? Mine definitely has a mind of its own. It's naturally wavy so I have to "tame" it each morning or it will look kind of like I stuck my finger in a light socket. :scared: I feel for you dealing with the humidity -- it stinks! I just let mine go curly in the summer, is that what you do too?

I didn't see that in your PTR. It makes sense though, if you don't plan on eating all that much. Although, you do realize that you can eat all you want in WDW and never gain weight. :rotfl: If only...Seriously though, I bet you'll enjoy just being able to do whatever strikes your fancy instead of having to follow your ADRs and worry about credits. I could just see myself gorging on all this food just to make sure I got my moneys worth. :rotfl2:

I have a pretty big trip update...
I'm currently working on renting DVC points!! :yay: I've always wanted to, but just never got around to figuring it out. So...I put a request out on the DVC board and have been contacted by a few people about finding availability for a studio. We're looking for August 23 - August 27. The last two days we'll still stay at Pop to save a little bit of money. It was the only way I could get DH to go along with. :rolleyes1 Still, I'm so excited and I really hope it works out! :goodvibes
Here are my top choices:
Animal Kingdom Villas (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/aklodge/villas.htm) -- 36 points
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/AKL.jpg
Villas at the Wilderness Lodge (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/villaswildlodge.htm) -- 52 points
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/VWL.jpg
Old Key West (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/okw.htm) -- 40 points
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/OKW.jpg
Boardwalk Villas (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/boards.htm) -- 44 points
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/BWV.jpg
Does anyone have any recommendations on which one we should stay at? I'm really open to any of them really, b/c we haven't stayed at any of them. Oooh, I'm getting so excited!!

I've only stayed at the villas at WL and OKW, so I can help you with those two. Seriously, we loved WL because it was gorgeous...and close to the MK. And now, we love OKW because it's beautiful, and quiet, and the rooms are HUGE.

Hey girl!! Love your color and cut. Look amazing!!!
Hmmm that is a tough decision. I don't think you can go wrong with any resort. I guess it depends on what theme you want to check out and where you want to be. If you want to be close to MK try WL.
Boardwalk is amazing. You're close to Epcot and DHS.
AKV is nice. Tim and I love the POLY and AKV is similar so that is why we wanted to stay there on our next trip. They also have the flat screen tvs just like the POLY which is a bonus and you can stay concierge at AKV. It's just tough to get.

First, Love the hair!! :goodvibes :goodvibes
My choice would be AKL just cause I think the kids would LOVE it. THough each has its own perks. Beach club you can ride the friendship boats to EPCOT and Studios. WL you can take boat to MK or TTC then monorail to EPCOT. OKW I've heard is quieter. So I guess it depends on what is important to you? Convenient transportation, pools, romance?
I think it is great to upgrade to DVC. As a friend though I would like to point out that you will be moving midweek from DVC to a value resort. We did this last time (Yacht club to SPorts) and it stunk because I felt like we were being downgraded. Might I recommend doing POP first then moving to DVC so you feel like you are being upgraded? Just a thought
TIW is the tables in wonderland card. I think it is only available to AP holders and DVC owners. It has an anual fee but you get 20% off most dining. Someone may want to confirm that for me :)

Yes that is what I do if not I just put it in a bun I can never go wrong.
It really makes things easier in the summer, though. At least, I really enjoy not having to mess around with my hair all that much. My sister and I went to WDW last October and I remember it was really humid. We put our hair up most of the time and it worked. BUT...when we got home and were looking at our pics...we looked super rough and frizzy! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I think I'd prefer to stay at VWL over OKW. We used to vacation out west when I was younger and VWL reminds me of all those fun memories we had. Plus, I've always wanted to stay at WL so I figure why not now? I also love the close proximity to MK. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

Yeah, it's so hard!!! ITA...it's really hard to go wrong w/ any of them. I'm not too picky on the theme or location, really. Although, the more I think about it I would enjoy being at BWV b/c I've never even been to the Boardwalk! :scared1: Yeah, I know...crazy! I would love to do VWL b/c I love the theme and the closeness to MK. I'd love AKV b/c it looks so pretty and the rooms look nice. ARGH...why is this not easier?! :rolleyes1 Or better yet, why am I so indecisive??

AKV looks so nice, and they have a Savannah view available at Jambo or Kidani Village. I'd love to stay at Kidani. All the artist renderings I've seen make it look really cool! I think I'm leaning towards VWL or AKV. But I really do like the idea of riding the Friendship boats over to Epcot and DHS (even if I've heard it's faster to walk). Boo, I hate making decisions.
I appreciate the heads up about feeling the downgrade. I was worried about that, too. The reason we're doing it mid-week is to save cost and not having to use more points to stay on Friday night. But, now I'm wondering if maybe we should just do the whole 6-nights at DVC. :confused3 Seriously, I'm so confused and indecisive on this. ARGH!!!
Thanks for explaining the TIW card. I had never heard of it before.

Well, I wish I was there jumping up and down with you! Poor kitty. :lmao:
Okay, the bear face isn't EXACTLY a bear face, but you have to use your imagination. Look at the main building (with the flags on the roof)...At the top of the building, there's two triangle windows...Those are the eyes. Then inside from that...those windows are the nose and mouth. A CM told me that during Christmas or something, they put up lights that make it look like the bear is growling or something. I can't remember..it was so long ago!

I think I found it! Actually, I kind of cheated and went over to http://www.wildernesslodgesite.com/content/secrets-and-history-wilderness-lodge to get help. :rolleyes1 So cool, though!! I would love to see that at Christmas time. The pictures that I've seen look AMAZING!!! That's my next goal, to stay there at Christmas time. Sigh.
Did you have any luck writing your paper last night?
Aww, I am so happy you are staying at VWL! Those photos are sooo gorgeous. I haven't been to WL since 2003 (we ate at WCC, didn't stay there though) and I remember how beautiful that lobby is. How difficult is the process of renting points? I would love to hear about how the whole transaction works!
Thanks!! Aren't those pictures great? You should take a peak at this thread (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1717127). It made me SO excited to stay there -- even more so than I already am.
The process of renting points was a bit stressful (only the part about finding someone to rent to you that had the price you were looking for). Otherwise, the whole thing has been really easy so far. I'll outline it in my next post for you.

I just signed our e-contract this morning and submitted our payment via PayPal. We're staying at the VWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:banana::woohoo::yay::dance3:
You can't tell how excited I am, can you? I think we got a pretty sweet deal, too. Here's how it breaks down:
Renting DVC Points
5 Nights (August 23-28) = 65 points
$9/pt * 65 points = $585 + $4 PayPal fee = $589
Reservations through Disney
Studio: $325/night * 5 = $1828.15 (includes tax) :scared1:
Studio with 40% pin = $975
Standard Room: $240/night * 5 = $1350.00
Standard Room with 40% pin = $750.00
**Not sure if the 40% pin would work for this.
Money Saved by Renting Points:
Regular rate = $1239.15
40% pin rate on studio= $386.00
40% pin rate on standard = $165.00
Overall, the process was very easy and (so far) I would most definitely do it again. Now, hopefully that opinion won't change after we go in August. I would highly recommend renting points to anyone. I've went ahead and outlined the process below:
I posted a reservation request on the DIS DVC Rent/Trade thread (http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29), as well as another site (PM me to get it, DIS blocks it out). My request was pretty detailed:
Check-In: Sunday, August 23
Check-Out: Friday, August 28
# of People: 2
Room Type: Studio
Price Per Point: $9 (or less) preferred
Here's the location preference (in order):
VWL - studio (65 pts)
AKV - value studio only (45 pts)
BWV - studio, standard (55 pts)
OKW - studio (50 pts)
SSR - studio (60 pts)
After posting that on Tuesday (4/21), I waited to receive replies. The waiting was the stressful part. I am NOT a patient person. Plus, I have a desk job so I'm constantly at my computer checking and RECHECKING my email awaiting a reply. :sad2: Sad, I know.
I received far more replies that I thought I would. I also stalked this this thread (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1394295), as it lists the PRT (points for rent/trade) requests as they are submitted. Basically, this is the best way to pounce on a great deal (i.e. anything less than $10/point).
The best reply I received was from an owner who was offering $9/point. Most options I saw averaged about $10-11/point. She offered to check availability and to send references from previous renters. She also gave me this link: http://www.occompt.com/ to confirm that she was in fact a DVC owner.
I contacted all of the previous renters via email and received wonderful feedback of the owner. They all said they'd rent from her again and that the had a blast on their vacation! :thumbsup2
I contacted the owner to proceed with the reservation. A copy of the reservation confirmation info was sent to me, along with a copy of the agreement that she uses. The way this owner does it, she makes the reservation in her name and changes it to the renter upon receiving payment.
After reviewing, I signed an e-contract using this really cool service called Sertifi. Pretty cool! I instantly received an electronic copy (PDF format) of the signed agreement.
The owner sent me an invoice via PayPal to submit payment for the reservation. I opted to pay in full. Once I did, I received a receipt.
I've made sure to save and print a copy of the agreement, emails, reservation confirmation, etc... This way, I have a paper and an e-copy trail of all of our correspondence...just in case.
So, that's it. Pretty straightforward and easy to do! I highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

Oh, more good news...
I got a Facebook message this morning from this guy who owns a local cookie shop. Apparently, I left my wallet there and he's been trying to track me down for the last two weeks. I have no idea why I was so convinced I lost it at Wal-Mart. I must apologize to Wal-Mart for all the rude, snarky comments I made about it "stealing" my wallet. :lmao:
The funny thing is...this place is just a few blocks away from my office. So, I've been stressing over a lost wallet and it's just been down the street! THANK GOODNESS!!! :dance3: I now don't have to worry about losing my one-day ticket. YAY!!!
I've learned some very valuable lessons in all this:
Don't carry your SS card in your wallet...DUH!
Don't carry your WDW tickets in your wallet.
Make sure to put a card with your current phone number and/or email address in your wallet. If it's lost, they can contact you this way.
ALWAYS take a picture or photocopy the back of your WDW tickets. If you lose them, they can replace them using the numbers on the back of the ticket.
Don't underestimate the power of prayer!!! He truly works in mysterious ways.

And you got a great deal on it renting points!
Staying in a timeshare can be a lot of fun. I can't speak for DVC because I haven't done it, but DH and I own a timeshare that we exchange through RCI. We bought it back in the day when owning "weeks" was more the norm, so I'm not familiar with the whole points process, although I get the idea of it. Anyway, we have done several exchanges and always have had a great time. When we have done it, we have really taken advantage of the kitchen to save $$$ on vacation. Some kitchens are better than others. That studio kitchen had just enough to enhance a Disney vacation IMO. I know you'll have a great time. Maybe this taste of staying in a resort other than Pop will make your DH appreciate going to Disney more! Hopefully, right?!:rolleyes1:angel:

So far...so good! It was really easy and the only stress (so far) was finding someone who offered a great deal. I hope it works out for you guys!
Yeah, I've stayed at one other time share before and we really enjoyed it. We, too, utilized the kitchen and it made things so much nicer! Some people don't like cooking on vacation, but my family always did. Plus, you can save a TON of money! I think the kitchenette in the studio will be perfect for us. DH LOVES cereal and I like to have sandwich meat for breakfast (I'm strange). And I'm sure we'll find something to cook in the microwave.
Ha, funny you should mention that about DH. I've been telling him that since I talked him into it. No offense against Pop, b/c I do love it. But, I'm thinking (and hoping) it can't hold a candle to VWL! I'm definitely crossing my fingers!!
Thank GOD they have it and they got in touch with you girl!!!!!

YES!!! I was seriously lucky. Although, I already canceled everything but I still wanted my stuff back...just for the moral of it -- and that one-day ticket I had stashed in there. Seriously, WHY did I think that was a good idea?!?!
Wal-Mart gives me hives...I swear! Aaron won't let me go in there unless I have a full stomach (I'm cranky when I'm hungry) and it's not very crowded. Otherwise...watch out! I hate that place, but we're poor so we shop there. I swear though, I refuse to go there once DH is out of school and has a FT job, too. :sad2:

I saw this great idea on autumnpalm's PTR, and decided to "borrow" it. :)
Here is a list of the top 10 things DH and I MUST do during our trip:
Visit each of the monorail resorts - I've been to WDW at least 25 times and have never done this. I always say I am going to, but it never happens. This year, it WILL happen!
Attend morning EMH at one of the parks - I love to get up early, but my family does not. Therefore, we've never been able to attend the AM EMH. Aaron is flexible though, so I think we might be able to do it this trip.
Use PhotoPass - Shameful, I know. We've never taken advantage of this great idea. I love all the pics I've seen on TR that were PP pics. I'm hoping to get in on one of the PP shares on DIS. Now, if only I can remember to look into that in late March - early April.
Keys to the Kingdom Tour - I have wanted to do this tour for quite some time, but never seem to actually do it. Aaron said he wouldn't mind, and I think I'd really enjoy it.
Trade pins with Scoop - I 've never seen him, and I'm determined to meet him this year!
Attend EMH at AK - this is something I'm just hoping to do b/c I ALWAYS miss it by just one day during our past trips.
Watch SpectroMagic - I've never actually stopped to watch it! I know, shameful. Although, technically I did see parts of it once while I was on Splash Mountain. It was kind of cool to see all the floats coming out while we rounded the corner -- pretty neat perspective.Wicked cool. we love this parade.
Trade pins with the super-traders - I did this for the first time last October, and I really enjoyed it. Now that I've overcome the intimidation, I want to look through all the pins and see what else I can get. It was pretty fun and I got an awesome pin! I got some amazing Lady and the Tramp pins. They're fun to talk to, too. :thumbsup2:
Buy a Christmas ornament - I wanted to create a tradition where I bought a new ornament each year. Well, I've been to sporadic about it and now I really want to force myself to do it. We get a new ornament for each of our kids each year. I put their names and the year on it. When they grow up and leave home :woohoo::sad1: they'll have at least 20 or so ornaments for their own trees.
Convince Aaron that he loves WDW - I'm crossing my fingers!!
I like your list. I'm doing this for all of us in mine.
Really enjoying your PreTR. Everyone in my family loves WDW. Good luck on your last task. Shouldn't be too hard!

I don't blame you for driving. Just think, that's more money you can save or use at WDW! Having a portable DVD player really helps too. What movies are you thinking about taking? Has your DH downloaded any of the Disney attraction audio yet? I've added a few to my iPod. I like to close my eyes and think I'm at WDW.
I actually enjoy driving to WDW. I really love when you enter Florida and start seeing all the Disney signs. I also love stopping at this one welcome center and looting all the travel brochures. I LOVE them!! Oh, and I also like getting the free orange juice too. :thumbsup2
:scared1::confused::banana: Do tell... NOW!!

Weekly Weight Loss: 0 lbs...but, nothing gained
Total Weight Loss: 4 lbs
Days Spent Exercising: 4
Well, I didn't lose any weight this past week. :sad2: But, I am relieved that I didn't gain anything either. I really need to find some better food options - especially for dinner. I feel stagnate in the food department. I eat a lot of the same thing and I'm starting to get tired of it. Any ideas?
Oh my gosh, you're probably so tired of me by now... but I do have some ideas:
Hummus (sp?) and pita chips, add grapes and cucumber slices.
Tuna fish wrapped in Romaine lettuce with couscous.
Your favorite tomato sauce, with favorite meat, over steamed fresh green beans.
omelettes (fill your own). ham, sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms, gouda cheese, ... whatever sounds good.
Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream--oops, sorry. but if you're gonna splurge, splurge big and don't waste calories on supper!;)
DH has diabetes, so we try to invert the menu. Eat a larger breakfast when you have a chance of working it off, then a big lunch, and a lighter dinner. Since he coaches two seasons, he gets home pretty late. These meals (except the last:laughing:) don't screw up his blood sugar too much.

I have a feeling that Pop CAN'T hold a candle to VWL. Seriously. Not that there's anything wrong with Pop, I'm sure, but I have a feeling that VWL will just be an more escapist atmosphere and while it is totally themed, a theme which I can't wait to see, because I've never even BEEN in the lobby, I think it will be a departure from Disney immersion, even though you are still at Disney. Am I making sense?

Hey!! :wave2: Thanks for stopping by!!
I think I'll be able to do everything on the list, w/ the exception of the KttK tour. Since we upgraded to VWL, I don't think I'll be able to persuade DH to do it. That's okay. I think I'll save it for when I go with my sister and mom. They will appreciate it much, MUCH more! :thumbsup2
When you said, "They're fun to talk to" I thought you were referring to your pins...not the pro-pin traders. :rotfl: :rotfl2: Then I went back and read it and realized what you meant. Haha! I agree, they are a blast!! Although, they can be really intimidating as well.

No need to apologize, I was and still am excited over having Disney music to listen to. Although, I'll PM to let you know where I found them. ;) They are seriously great! I shared some with my sister and her kids were so excited to listen to "Disney World" in the car. They are mostly songs from attractions (i.e. Yo Ho, Yo Ho..., Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Spectro Magic, etc...). I really want to find audio from some of the attractions. That would be awesome!
Oh my gosh, you're probably so tired of me by now... but I do have some ideas:

No way, I love to have people contribute on here!! The more, the merrier. Thanks so much for the meal ideas. I could really use the help. I've fallen off the wagon...pretty HARD! I especially like the omelet idea...mmm. I love to eat salads too, but I also love the convenience of fast food. It's bad. I really need to get back on the kick. I'll have to try your suggestions...especially that last one! :rotfl:
We must have posted at the same time, I JUST saw that you got your wallet back!!!:cool1:Yay!!

Isn't that cool? My mom kept telling me she felt I would get it back -- and she was right! Everything was in perfect, er perfect to me, order and not a thing was missing. I truly was lucky!
Yeah, I have the same feeling about VWL. It reminds me a lot of traveling out west. When I was younger, my dad would take us to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons NP and throughout southern Utah. It truly majestic. Of course, I did not appreciate it at the time and wondered why he made us suffer. Anyway, we stayed a few times at the Old Faithful Inn. I have always wanted to stay at WL/VWL for nostalgic reasons. Based on the pictures, it looks more like NPS than Disney...and I think I'll really enjoy that. So yeah, in my long-winded way I completely understand what you're saying.
I'm so excited we're both staying there! How neat!!! Although, it's really bad for my work performance. All I do is peruse the WL/VWL threads on the resort board. :rolleyes1

He's definitely in my top 5 actors (him, Jimmy Stewart, David Niven, Humphrey Bogart & Hugh Grant). I love old movies -- especially when Cary Grant is in them! Do you have a favorite movie of his? I have so many...

"I Was a Male War Bride"

Cool pins! I am slightly addicted myself...I had a little spurt where I got addicted to ebay and the hidden Mickey pins but luckily I haven't bought any in a while (though I do admit to looking at them. A lot.).

Amen to the last one. I am so glad you found your wallet, err should I say your wallet found you? I would love the VWL, of course I think i would love any of the deluxe or DvC resorts.

AHHH I so have to get the Parasol lady!! i saw it on Disney Pins. There is a pin just like that with the Bride that comes out on my anniversary! Thank God we will be there, I have to get that pin!!
Your other pins are cute!!!
They have about 12 or so in that HM series. I love them all!!! I just saw the bride one...too cute!
Just think...this time next week you'll be at WDW Lynn!!!! :goodvibes
Done for the semester. End of December is when I'm done with my degree. :woohoo: I hate senioritis. :headache:
Wow, those pins are pretty cool! I love the parasol lady one from the HM!
Ooh, only one semester left -- good luck!! It will be here before you know it. Do you know what you'll do after you graduate?
Thanks...I'm such a pin addict! I would hate to know how much I've spent on all of them. :rolleyes1
I love the monorail pins!!:goodvibes
And thanks so much for outlining the DVC point rental process. We might consider doing that in the future, it doesn't look as complicated as I thought it would be!
The monorail is one of my favorite things to collect! There are just SO many of them, it makes it kind of hard.
No problem! You should definitely look into renting points some time. You can save A LOT of money staying deluxe. :thumbsup2

Haha, I understand the eBay addiction. I always tell myself I'm not going to buy anymore for awhile. Then, I wander on eBay and find what I think is a good deal that I simply cannot pass up. It's definitely an illness!!
Amen to the last one. I am so glad you found your wallet, err should I say your wallet found you? I would love the VWL, of course I think i would love any of the deluxe or DvC resorts.
Is it amazing what prayer can do for you? I've had so many times when I felt so awful and then I just say a little prayer and I feel so much better. It truly is a great and wonderful thing!
Yes! The wallet certainly found me. I was really amazed that nothing had been used and everything was still in its place. I was very blessed!
You should try to rent DVC points some time. Although, maybe you should wait to see how it goes for me first...just in case. ::crosses fingers:: No, I'm sure it will be fine.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! The weather here was AMAZING (sunny and 80's!!!). I went to some yard sales with my mom and mother-in-law. I LOVE to yard sale!! Some times I don't find much, and other times I find a TON of stuff! Either way, I love digging through other peoples junk. :lmao: We stopped at this one and they were selling three pins (see below) for only $1/each! AWESOME!! We struck up a conversation with the people who were running it and they were big Disney fans too (not pin traders, though). Of course, I had to share all about the DIS and the other Disney websites I frequent. I always LOVE to meet other Disney fanatics! :goodvibes
Here are the pins I found (I plan on using them as traders):
http://pinpics.com/img/p143/pin7163
http://pinpics.com/img/p1157/pin57891
The third is Snow White surrounded by the seven dwarfs. I can't find it on Pin Pics. I'll post a picture of it when I get home.
Here's another one of my yard sale finds. I love to collect anything donkey related. Yes, donkey! I love them!!! I know a lot of people probably find this extremely odd and downright strange. But that's okay, I'm eccentric! :rolleyes1
It's a donkey planter! I got it for $1. It looked a bit...rough. It just needed some TLC.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/downsized_0404091029.jpg
AFTER - I painted it and added some fake flowers!
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/0408092059.jpg
It now resides in my office b/c DH did NOT want it in the house. :confused3 I'm not sure why, I think it's really quite lovely.

My sister and I were talking last night and we both really want to plan another Christmas time trip to WDW. So, we've decided we're going to go either the first or second week of December!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: Here are the dates we're looking at:
November 29 - December 4
December 6 - 11 -- We'd be there for my birthday (December 10)
We're going to try to rent DVC points and stay at a studio. Here's our resort preference:
AKV -- 40 pt (value), 45 pt (standard)
BWV -- 45 pt (standard)
OKW -- 40 pt
YAY! I am so excited!!! :woohoo: Early December is my absolute FAVORITE time to visit WDW. The decor is stunning, and the crowds are practically non-existent. It's a great time to go.

Yeah, I agree w/ you -- I want to go during my birthday. I'll make it my birthday week! :rotfl: I'd love to get the gift card, wear the pin AND make a fancy birthday shirt! Everyone thought the August park hours were going to be released last Friday (May 1). This makes sense, seeing as it's about 90 days out from August 1. At least, one would think that would be the logical release date for the hours. But, no...as of Tuesday, May 5th at 8:32am EDT the hours have yet to make their appearance on that thing Disney claims to be a website. My 90-day ADR mark isn't until May 25 (Memorial Day), so I still have plenty of time. However, I feel bad for all those people who are vacationing at the beginning of August and our now forced to make their ADRs blindly, hoping for the best. If Disney wants to stick with a 90-day ADR time frame, then they should be willing to release park hours at least 100 days out. I really don't see what the problem with that would be. :confused3
Now that I got that rant out of the way...I really have nothing trip related to talk about. So, I have a question for any of the readers/lurkers I may have:

The elusive park hours have made their appearance, albeit fashionably late. Of course, the only ones I was really looking for (Animal Kingdom) were delayed even more so...figures. I wish Disney posted their park hours earlier than the 90 day allotment. They obviously do not know the kind of stress it puts on their guests! :rolleyes1 Seriously, they should be ashamed of themselves.
Oh, the "mountain triple whammy" comment reminded me of something. I've been instructed by my oldest ds to keep this information very quiet, but I can tell you, right?! :lmao: He  Stacey, can't get enough of her on that resort room TV, wants to marry her one day (he says he'll marry her only if/when he doesn't think girls stink, that is) :rotfl2:
Aw, that is too cute! I'll make sure to keep it hush hush. I know a few people who have a crush on Stacey. Did you know they changed the "Top 7" to something else? It's not the "Disney Must Do (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTFj6AZCQVc&feature=related)" w/ Stacey. It's like they sucked the fun right out of her...or perhaps they slipped her a few Xanax to calm her down. Either way, I'm really bummed that it's not the same. I've heard they even took out some of the class lines. SAD!!!

The "weeny" side, er I mean the "Green Team" is supposed to provide a less intense version of the ride. I think it just means no spinning. I've never tried it before but I think we might in August. I definitely couldn't do the "Orange Team" side. Well, maybe I could for a few seconds...maybe even a whole minute before they had to shut-down the ride.
You're braver than me for even THINKING of doing it!

Oh really a gift shop at the end of Haunted Mansion :cool1: I think I would join you in the going broke after riding it. I remembered something about that ride. I thought it was magical. Yeah, I read somewhere on the boards and from Jim Hill (http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2007/10/26/wdi-s-x-scream-makeover-of-wdw-s-haunted-mansion-part-5.aspx). The rumors also claimed they were going to add a ride photo (taken at the end with the hitchhiking ghost in your Doom Buggy). I would LOVE that!! It is such a fun ride.

Currently, I have a Kodak EasyShare CX7530 5MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/415HT2SE1RL_SL500_AA280_.jpg
It's really been a great camera, and put up with a lot of abuse and neglect from me. I have the tendency to just chuck the thing in my purse, instead of properly storing it in a nice little camera case. Oops! My poor, old camera. I think, no I KNOW, it's passed its prime. It really has served me quite well, under the most harshest of circumstances. But, I do think it's time to move on. Plus, I don't want to get down to WDW and have my old camera poop out on me. That would be sad...VERY SAD!!! It's time to move on. RIP my little Kodak warrior.
Now, I must decide on what type of camera I should get to replace it. I briefly thought about an SLR, then I realized I don't want to schlep all that gear around. Plus, I really don't take that many photographs to justify at least a $700 purchase of that magnitude. So, I've narrowed it down to a point and shoot camera from either Sony or Canon.
Here are my requirements:
2.7" or greater LCD
At least 12 MP
4 X optical zoom or greater
Less than $300
Would like it to take decent, non-shaky night photos
Here are the two that I really like so far:
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/9256654_sb.jpg
Sony - Cyber-shot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Red
$179.99
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/8800577_sa.jpg
Canon - PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera - Silver
$199.99
I welcome (and appreciate) any input you all have to offer.

I just bought Aaron's park ticket on Undercover Tourist. He got a 6 day park hopper for $271.00. The price through Disney is $292.88. We saved nearly $22! That's $22 more I have to spend on pins!!!! :thumbsup2 Plus, I just LOVE Undercover Tourist's customer service. Not that Disney's is bad, but I was really impressed with UT's service and I love saving a few bucks. :thumbsup2 Pretty sweet combination.

Hey Lisa! I just saw your link for your PTR. YAY, so glad you started one on here!!! :goodvibes It's really easy to create a link for your title. Basically, you'll just need to go into your signature and type out your title. Then, highlight it and click the "insert link" button up in the tool bar area. Once that pops up, just paste the link to your PTR and voila...there's your link!
Ha, I love that you just know the camera fits in your bag. That's awesome!! That's how I used to be, and kind of still am. I don't really care about the brand so much, but I do want it to take pretty nighttime pictures. Sad, I know.

Oh no!! That was nice of your mom to let you borrow hers. It seems like Best Buy is constantly having sales on their cameras. Hopefully, we'll both find great deals!
Btw, I was really surprised on the quality of the Kodak camera I currently have. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but it's been really great. It's just getting a bit grumpy and old...time for it to be retired.

ADR Day
FINALLY, the day is nearly upon us. I can't believe how fast the last few weeks have flown by. I can make my one little sad ADR on Monday. Thank goodness it's Memorial Day, or I might've just had to suddenly become "sick" and call-in for work. :rolleyes1 From what I've been hearing it's been a crap shoot on how long it's taken people to get through. One person was on the phone for over FIVE hours. :scared1: Can you imagine that long distance bill? Uh, no thanks! Even w/ cell that would stink! Wish Disney's online system was up and running. Oh well.
Whispering Canyon Cafe

Car Rental
The good news -- I was able to find something for UNDER $200!! :woohoo:
The bad news -- it's Thrifty, which is off-site. BOO! I figure, it won't be THAT bad, if we indeed stick with it.
Thrifty - $184.16/ 7 days/ Economy Size
Dollar - $228.40/ 7 days/ Economy Size
I had both of these both booked, but I canceled the Dollar one today. I know, some people hate when others have two car reservations. But, I'm not one of those people. :cool2:
I'm really hoping for some awesome last minute deals through Alamo or National. I really prefer something on-site. Not that we can't haul all our crap to the off-site location, but come on! That ten minutes really eats up our vacay time! :rotfl:
Pins and Yard Sales
I break for yard sales...it's true. I'm a yard sale feign. Something about rummaging through other peoples crap really is exhilarating! :thumbsup2 Last weekend, I went w/ my mom and MIL to a neighborhood and hit the mother load! I found three limited edition pin sets in their original packages in mint condition.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/downsized_0516090858.jpg
Disney Catalog - Animated Short Boxed Pin Set #5 (Good Scouts), originally $56.50/set
Disney Catalog - 101 Dalmatians Pin Set, originally $62.00/set
Disney Catalog - Animated Short Boxed Pin Set #6 (The Night Before Christmas), originally $56.50/set
I got all these pins for...$1.50 TOTAL!!!! The guy doing the yard sale hated them (his wife originally bought them) and desperately wanted to get rid of them. So, I wound up getting 22 limited edition pins that originally cost $175 for only $1.50. Crazy, eh? I almost felt bad after I found out how much they cost...but, not bad enough to go back and tell them about it.
Camera
I've decided to go w/ the Canon (thanks to Autumnpalm's AWESOME pictures in her TR :thumbsup2)!! It's on sale at Best Buy, so I'm going to head over there tomorrow. I'm kind of bummed, I keep thinking today is Friday and today's the day I'm picking up my camera! Sad.

No fear, for any readers I have left...I'm back. Hopefully, I'm not the only one who is excited about that. Now, onto some updating!
I'm excited about that!
ADR Day
FINALLY, the day is nearly upon us. Oh well.
FIVE hours?! :scared1: Geez, I'm so glad my TA will be making those ADRs for us
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Sunday, 8/23 anytime after 5pm for dinner
OR
Friday, 8/28 anytime after 11:30am for lunch
Oh, I cannot wait to eat at WCC! :woohoo:
Is it better for lunch, dinner or does it even matter??
I've not been there yet, so I don't have an opinion - HOWEVER , in my mind, it doesn't matter which meal - it'll be great fun! lol
Car RentalThrifty - $184.16/ 7 days/ Economy Size
Dollar - $228.40/ 7 days/ Economy Size
Yep, I'd go for the Thrifty car too :thumbsup2
I'm really hoping for some awesome last minute deals through Alamo or National. I really prefer something on-site. Not that we can't haul all our crap to the off-site location, but come on! That ten minutes really eats up our vacay time! :rotfl:
Sending you "awesome last-minute Alamo or National car deals" pixie dust! :wizard:
Pins and Yard Sales
I break for yard sales...it's true. I'm a yard sale feign. Something about rummaging through other peoples crap really is exhilarating! :thumbsup2 Last weekend, I went w/ my mom and MIL to a neighborhood and hit the mother load! I found three limited edition pin sets in their original packages in mint condition.
What a FANTASTIC deal! :yay:
Sad.
Today IS Friday - happy camera buying! :dance3:

Heyyy Kirsten! I'm Kristen and I'm joining in (late)!! I found your PTR over on tinkgurl's TR, idk how I've missed it for so long? :confused3
Anyway, I'm loving your PTR so far. I'm going to try and comment on the things I can remember wanting to comment on LOL
1- we're renting DVC points too! Isn't it the greatest thing ever? It would cost sooooo much for us to stay at AKV normally but we're staying in Kidani for $700!! really, the best thing everrrrrr.
2- did you buy the canon camera? BF and I are looking for a new camera because mine SUCKS and i'm wondering how you like the canon and where you got it and how much (if you dont mine me asking that)
3- you get some really great airfare prices! anything under $200 round trip from here is considered pretty good.
4- loved your MNSSHP pic!
thats all i can remember right now...but i'm on board now so can't wait to read more :thumbsup2

Yay for an update! And yay for getting to make ADRs soon! Don't feel bad about only making one, we usually don't do more than that anyway. :confused3
Great deal on the pins. :thumbsup2 I just bought some on ebay the other day for the first time in a while.
Where do you guys usually make your ADR/s for?
Isn't that awesome? I couldn't believe it when he said each set was only $.50! I was so excited!! What pins did you get on eBay? I'm trying to stay away from there until after our trip. I spend WAY too much on there.
Oh, I'm glad you got an answer! :)
Me too! Thanks again for suggesting that. :thumbsup2
FIVE hours?! :scared1: Geez, I'm so glad my TA will be making those ADRs for us
I know...CRAZY!! :scared1: You definitely have the right idea by having your TA make them for you. Very, VERY smart idea!!!!
Oh, I cannot wait to eat at WCC! :woohoo:
I've not been there yet, so I don't have an opinion - HOWEVER , in my mind, it doesn't matter which meal - it'll be great fun! lol
Yeah, I think it's going to be an awesome meal. I just HAVE to order ketchup and I know DH will probably get one of those ginormous mug/glasses full of Diet Coke. I can't wait!!
Yep, I'd go for the Thrifty car too :thumbsup2
Sending you "awesome last-minute Alamo or National car deals" pixie dust! :wizard:
Aw, thanks!! I'm hoping that we can get something that's on-site and cheaper. But, my goal was to find something for under $200 so at least that happened. I got spoiled in October -- we paid less than $100 for a week!
Hey Kristen!! Thanks for stopping by. :wave2:
Haha, you're like me. I always find things I want to comment on in a PTR and then I completely forget about them by the time I've read through it all.
1- we're renting DVC points too! Isn't it the greatest thing ever? It would cost sooooo much for us to stay at AKV normally but we're staying in Kidani for $700!! really, the best thing everrrrrr.
YES...LOVE IT!! Renting points is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! The best part is when you go on the WDW site and see how much you're saving. That's how I won DH over. :thumbsup2 I've never stayed deluxe before, so I'm SO excited!!! Kidani looks really nice, I bet you guys will have blast there.
2- did you buy the canon camera? BF and I are looking for a new camera because mine SUCKS and i'm wondering how you like the canon and where you got it and how much (if you dont mine me asking that)
I sure did! Well, actually it was a Canon but a different one. I am SO indecisive and by the time I got to Best Buy I had changed my mind a dozen times. SAD!!! The one I wound up getting was $249, but then I added a package so it wound up being $329. I LOVE IT!!! I'm going to post more details in an update.
3- you get some really great airfare prices! anything under $200 round trip from here is considered pretty good.
I know, right? I was stalking Southwest until they released the August dates. (I have no life. :rotfl:)
4- loved your MNSSHP pic!
Thanks! Have you ever been to MNSSHP? It was so much fun dressing up and trick-or-treating in the MK! People kept thinking I was a CM. It cracked me up.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Ours FLEW by! We managed to pack quite a bit in:
- Attempted to make ADRs, but the system was down. BOO!!! :headache: I'm going to call back this afternoon. Hopefully, I'll be able to make them then. I'm not too concerned. I really don't think WWC will be full...yet. At least, I hope not.
-Terminator Salvation -- the only good part about it was gawking at the two hot guys (Christian Bale and Sam Worthington) who were in it. To be honest, I only went b/c I really wanted movie theater popcorn, and it was GOOD! :thumbsup2
-Badminton (my friends and I are OBSESSED :lmao:)

-Cookout w/ my sister and DH
-DH's family reunion -- His family isn't particularly close, so DH doesn't really know a lot of them. I've been introduced maybe once. So, I usually wander around looking like a crasher. Fun times! :rolleyes1

-Bon Fire at friend's house and a late night Denny's run
-Lunch w/ my family -- we go to this place called Mr. Gatti's. It's kind of like a Chuck-e-Cheese type place. My nephews LOVE it b/c it has games. One of them actually hit the jackpot and scored 1000 tickets! He LOVED that.

-AND...I FINALLY BOUGHT MY NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/camera.jpg
After several painful minutes (that I'm sure seemed like hours for DH and the poor sales guy at Best Buy), I wound up going w/ the Canon - PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera. I LOVE IT!!!! I still need to learn how to use it, though. :rolleyes1 The pictures I posted above were taken w/ the new camera. I think they turned out really well. They probably would've turned out even better if I actually knew how to use it. Ha! I was too excited to look over the manual at first. I plan on doing that this week.
So...what did ya'll do for Memorial Day Weekend??

Aw, sad! What'd you guys do for MDW?
Thanks! The only thing that would've made it better was if it was pink. Sadly, I don't know about nighttime pictures yet. The badminton one was taken on an auto setting around 9ish. So, it was kind of dark but not entirely. It has a high ISO (up to 1600), so that's supposed to help take good images in low lighting. Plus, it has an image stabilization feature that's supposed to help make your low light pictures come out better (we'll see). Oh...and it has a fireworks setting -- which I hope works well for Wishes!! ::crosses fingers::

Am glad you picked out a new camera and a canon too. I love the color so cool.:cool1:
The pictures look great. :thumbsup2
Am glad you enjoyed your weekend.
Well my plans...
I did a lot of things where to begin. During the Day I spent time with my family BBQ (spend time with my niece and nepew) and that sort of stuff.
Ok Friday night I had a friends sister that turned 18 so we took her to her first club. We went downtown and it was fun.
Saturday night I went to Dave and Buster's (Chuck E. Cheese but for big kids) I was there celebrating a Coworkers birthday. I had to leave early because I had another party to go to a friends cousins birthday.
I usually don't go out much but I guess I made up for it this weekend. Since I wasn't going to work Monday I went out Sunday I went to a club they had a Foam Party. I had so much fun.
Monday I went with my family to the beach. It wasn't that pretty because Galveston have not fully recover from Ike.
That was my weekend.

Remember me? I haven't been here in a while. Things have just been crazy.
Love the camera. :thumbsup2 If you are taking pics of fireworks be sure to use the tri-pod or try to stabalize it someway. The least bit of movement will make your fireworks look like streamers.
Awesome deal on the yardsale pins :woohoo:
Car rentals: have you checked mousesavers website. Mary has a page devoted to car rental discount codes? Some are even stackable.
ADRs- did you ever get the whispering canyon? I want to try that place at least once. Hope you didn't have to stay on the phone for too long.
Glad you had an awesome MDW! Love the pic of your nephew with all the tickets. We went camping in my mom's RV with some friends. The kids had a great time. My husband was skeptical at first but he had so much fun he now wants to take it to Ft. Wilderness for a cheap(er) disney vacation :rotfl:

Ok, my old fogey side is coming out. What is a foam party?

Hey!!! Of course I remember you. I was wondering how you've been doing. I randomly check your PTR/FB for updates. Dang life...always getting in the way.
Thanks for the tip for the firework pictures. I'm thinking about getting a gorilla pod for our trip. I've always wanted to get good firework pictures...so hopefully that will help.
Yes, I LOVE MOUSESAVERS!!!!! I check her codes quite frequently. I found a decent deal w/ Alamo, but I still want it to go a bit lower. :goodvibes
I just made the ADRs. In fact, I splurged and went for two! :rotfl: I'll post it in an update.
Ooh...I've always wanted an RV!! How nice of your Mom to let you borrow it. She seems like a great lady (from what I've seen on your PTR). I've heard Ft. Wilderness is a blast...and if you can save money on a WDW vacation -- even better! My grandpa had one. He'd take his up to Yellowstone to spend the summer. It was AWESOME!!

Yes, the baseball was great (ds#2's baseball games are hilarious - half of the kids sit down on the bases and/or do a happy-happy-joy dance when they hit the ball :rotfl2:). You'd think park hotdogs would be good, right? Well, no, they're icky at that park - cold buns that are too big for the dogs, etc. :sad2: On the other hand, the park is very close to a neighbourhood pond/park, so ds#2 and I often go there after his games to watch the ducks!

I just got off the phone w/ Disney Dining. I was amazed how fast it was. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I was on hold for just about five minutes -- not bad! Unfortunately, I was wrong about getting into WCC. I wanted to do it on the first night (8/23) anytime after 6pm. Well, it was ALL booked. Bummer. The lady was very helpful (and patient) and we were able to find another day that worked. Oh...and at the last minute I decided I wanted to try Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Aaron LOVES breakfast food, so I figured we couldn't go wrong w/ this one. Plus, who doesn't dream about having breakfast w/ Mickey?? Here's what I made:
Thursday, August 27
Whispering Canyon Cafe at 7:45pm
Friday, August 28
Chef Mickey's at 8:30am
I'm in the process of revising my itinerary. I'll hopefully post that later today.

Ok well I will post some pics later. Dave and Buster's is so much fun you need to go and have the experience at least once.
A Foam Party is well how can I explain it
Well basically it can be held in a back yard or a club and well little ones would call it bubbles you will see lots and lots of bubbles. The club I went to had the foam (bubble) machine in the ceiling and they would turn on the machines and well you basically get wet and soapy. It was fun and if you get tired of the soap they had another section where you can dance and it is dry.
Great ADR's:thumbsup2

Well glad you want to go to Dave and Buster's
I haven't even told you the best parts yet
Well I don't know what your interests are.
Some of the Dave and Busters have arcades, bowling, restaurants, billiard, and a bar. It is very cool because you will have a lot of entertainment. I even think they have big screen tv's to watch sports.

Wooohooo for getting WCC dinner and CM breaky!!! Seriously, I cannot wait to try WCC (I think I might not tell dh and the boys about the server antics - but I think I will ask dh to get me some ketchup ). We really enjoyed CM breakfast last year (the only ADR we had :sad2:) - great character interaction (I danced with Pluto :cloud9:) and decent food - all good stuff :thumbsup2

HA! I love watching little kids play. Most of the kids on my nephews teams are way more interested in the bugs that are flying by. :rotfl: Sad, that I hate bad hot dogs. Wow...I sound like all I care about is food. Well, it's true...I do. :lmao: I would love to watch the ducks, too. That sounds like a lot of fun.
Well now, food is important! Plus, good food can be hard to come by sometimes!
The ducks and Canada geese were so cute with all their babies - I think I'll post a few pictures he took on the weekend of the duck/goose families on my PTR :goodvibes

Where do you guys usually make your ADR/s for?
Isn't that awesome? I couldn't believe it when he said each set was only $.50! I was so excited!! What pins did you get on eBay? I'm trying to stay away from there until after our trip. I spend WAY too much on there.
Usually we get reservations at all the same old places. :rotfl: My sister and I are kind of picky eaters so we've done the Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi a couple of times. In May we ate at Mama Melrose's which was good and of course WCC in December!
I ended up getting some of the hidden Mickey pins...those are the only kind I've gotten on ebay since I don't do a whole lot of trading. I'll have to take pictures and put them on my PTR. It kind of stunk because the seller (who I bought from before) sent me one of the wrong ones but she was really cool about it. So she sent me the one I did buy and I got to keep the other one. :thumbsup2

WOW...I have been a VERY BAD PTR writer. The last few weeks have been so busy and I don't even know where the time has went. CRAZY! I've neglected this, primarily b/c I've been busy at work...and lets face it, that's where all my prime DIS time takes place. Hmmm, I really hope no one from work is on here. :rolleyes1
Updates
I'm debating on whether I should go ahead and get a 6 day park hopper w/ no expiration on Undercover Tourist. My sister and I are planning a trip for December, so it'd probably be a good idea to go ahead and get it. Plus, DH already has a 6 day hopper and we could go to the PM EMH at MK the Sunday we arrive. Yeah, I think I might just go ahead and get that ticket. :thumbsup2
Clothing Update
I've been finding some really cute summer clothes for the trip. I'm going to take pictures this weekend and post. Can't wait to wear them down there!!

Awhh Thank You! Grace is awesome. She's such an easy child. I had baby fever bad for 3 years before getting pregnant and now that she's almost a toddler I hate to say it but it's back! lol Here's some of the pins we got. I'm really interested in the Chip & Dale Food ones.

Grace is just absolutely too cute!! And...I bet she'd love to be a big sister, so maybe it's time to give into that baby fever! :rotfl: Seriously, I have it so bad right now. It just seems that EVERYONE is pregnant but me -- even when I'm in a store or at a restaurant...pregnant women are EVERYWHERE!!!
Love your pins! I have that Soarin' one - the collection its in is really cute. That Figment was is really cool. Once you've had a taste of pin crack, you'll never be able to stop. Seriously...it's SO ADDICTIVE!!!
I love our Powershot so far, aren't they the best?

HA! I get out...just not to D&B. DH and I are the type that like to hang out w/ friends out our house. We play badminton and grill out. We're dorky like that!
I love, love, LOVE arcade games. Ski ball, air hockey, basketball games, etc... we love all that type of stuff. Bowling and pool sound fun too. Now I definitely have to check this place out!

Mmm...that skillet looks so good! I don't even want to think of how many calories it is, though. :rolleyes1 Wait, I forgot...calories don't count at WDW. Phew! And I totally agree, the greasier the better! That's why fair food is so good. :lmao:

I don't know what it is, but I've been seriously lacking on DIS time. I know, shame on me!! :sad2: I'm planning to take some pictures of all the summery clothes I've got for our trip (very cute stuff...at least, I think so). I didn't have a chance to go shopping last weekend. I came down w/ this horrible cold that was being passed around my office. BOO!! I'm feeling good now, and plan to do some serious shopping this weekend...woo hoo!
Also, yesterday was our third wedding anniversary!! I can't believe we've been married that long. It sure doesn't seem like it. We already exchanged gifts a few weeks ago. Aaron got me a new car stereo that has a USB port to play/charge my iPod. I LOVE IT!!!

We were going to go up to Indianapolis, and have dinner at Carrabba's. Right as we were getting ready to leave, something told me to check my tires. Well, low and behold, I had a HUGE nail/screw jammed into the back right tire. UGH, figures! The tire isn't flat, but we didn't think it was smart to drive it up to Indy. We thought about taking Aaron's car, but he's about to go in to get new brakes, so...yeah, not a good idea either. We wound up going to Red Lobster here in town. We decided we'll go to Carrabba's on Sunday.
On to trip news...
I just happened to check Travelocity for car rental rates, and stumbled upon a pretty good find. I reserved a compact car for $161.84 through Enterprise. That was about $23 less than the Trifty one I found last month! :woohoo: That's $23 more I'll have to spend on pins!!!!! The even better news -- it's onsite, so we don't have to lug all our stuff on the rental car shuttle.

So, I've always declared my disdain for all things Vera Bradley. For some reason, I never found the appeal. I thought they looked a bit...country. Lately, though, I've started eyeing people's VB bags and found myself really coveting them. Then of course, after reading some PTR/TR (Lynn's and Autumnpalm) and seeing their cute VB bags...I caved. I HAD to buy one. I was going back and forth between a backsack or a tote. I though the backsack might be better for the parks, but I really LOVE the totes. This is what I wound up with.........
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/kmphilli/vbtote_petal_pk_400.jpg
It's the Vera Bradley Petal Pink tote, and I LOVE IT!! I hope it won't be too bulky in the parks. But, I figure it will be fine. Plus, I think it's really cute -- which of course, it the main priority. :rolleyes1

I just found out that you can FINALLY make ADRs online (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/). WOO!!!!!!!!! I decided to check to see if I could find anything available for breakfast at Ohana's during the week. The CM I spoke w/ on the phone said no, but I was able to find one online! :woohoo: I also changed our WCC and CM ADRs. Here's are current ADRs:
Monday - Ohana's at 7:30AM
Tuesday - WCC at 9PM (It's late, but it will work much better than the 7ish one I previously had but cancelled.)
Thursday - Chef Mickey's at 7:25AM I might drop it all together and just do Ohana's. What do you guys think? Should we do both CM and Ohana's for breakfast? Which is better?

Thursday - Chef Mickey's at 7:25AM I might drop it all together and just do Ohana's. What do you guys think? Should we do both CM and Ohana's for breakfast? Which is better?
How cool is online ADRs?
I've never been to either Ohana's or CM, but we are going to CM on our trip. I'll be able to give you an opinion then!

Thanks! I got it at our local Hallmark store at the mall. I know, random right?!

OOOH how did you like the online reservations!! I'm thinking about doing it at midnight on my 90 day mark haha. That way I don't have to wait till the morning to call lol.
I have never been to Ohana for breakfast, but I hear it is really good. But I have been to Chef Mickey's Breakfast, and I can tell you it is amazing!! I loved it there. So much food, all was very good. The breakfast pizza there is the best lol. It's so simple, but the flavor is sooo good!
If you can do both do both. I think Aaron will like Ohanas better. I don't see him having good time at CM with the song and dance they do there LMAO. I can see him now.

hahaha see, what did I tell you?! That is so funny you got another one. I have a Little Betsy too. :rolleyes1 Funny thing about VB for me is that I was NEVER a purse girl at all, I'd usually just shove stuff in my pockets...well now I have a whole mess of them. I'll buy a new one and say it's my last one for a while...yeah, that works real well.
And thanks for the info on making ADRs online!
Ha, I know! I can't stop looking/buying them. This is bad...very BAD! :sad2: Aaron and my BFF think they are hideous and can't believe I caved. I'm already planning on getting a VB diaper bag when I have kids. Aaron already said I'll have to get him a "man bag" b/c he refuses to carry it. :rotfl::lmao:
No problem! Making the ADRs online went so smoothly and it gave me TONS of time to be indecisive and review my schedule first. LOVED IT!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I know! They should've done this YEARS ago. It was so easy and not nearly as stressful as it is when you have a CM on the phone sifting through times. I love the online system. Such an awesome upgrade, for sure!
Can't wait to hear what you think of CM (and see your pics).
Thanks! I got it at our local Hallmark store at the mall. I know, random right?!
You know, I see them at the most random places. I think our local Cracker Barrel sells them, too. Weird!
I think Ohana is better for breakfast IMO!
Is it the food, atmosphere, both that makes it better?

I LOVED making the ADRs online. It seriously is SO MUCH BETTER than calling. I mean, leaps and bounds! I loved being able to type in all these different times and not worry about irritating the CM. I mean, I know it's their job and I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that...but still. I always feel bad when making them sort through all these different dates while I try to figure out my schedule. I think you'll love it -- especially if you can get all your ADRs made at midnight instead of calling at the butt crack of dawn! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2
Ooh, simple is good. Aaron has the taste buds of a little kid so I think he might like it. He usually hates buffets, but loves breakfast ones. I think it's something about the all you can eat bacon that really gets him going. I won't lie...I really want to see Aaron get "harassed" by the characters at CMs. It will make for some awesome pictures. :rotfl: I'm evil!
I think you have a good point -- we'll do both! Why not? Plus, I've never been inside the Poly so it'd be a good reason to check it out.

Honestly, I think it's both. The food was good when we ate there and the atmosphere just felt so inviting as we were waking up and getting ready to head out to a park. I guess I'm weird like that!

Both of those are breakfasts that we (and when I saw we I really mean I) want to try. I would try to do both if you are morning people and can stand getting up that early two days of your vaca.

Wooohoooo for online ADRs!!
Your ADRs look great! I'm sooo looking forward to WCC dinner our first night - it just sounds like so much fun, doesn't it?! :woohoo:
The only ADR we've ever done before was Chef Mickey's breakfast. It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good too! I haven't been to 'Ohanas - the limited menu is why I crossed it off our ADR list - but I've heard that's lots of fun too!
Why not do both if you'd like? The two early breakfasts are three days apart - plenty of time between to get some extra sleep kwim?

Online ADRs are the best...so far, anyway. I'm going to take your advice and call to confirm them. I'd hate to get there and my ADRs went missing. Heads would roll! :rotfl:
I am so excited for WCC, too. I've been eyeing that skillet for quite some time now. I'm so excited to finally get to try it. Can you believe that I've only done one table service restaurant at WDW?! I'm so ready to branch out!!
Chef Mickey's looks so much fun. I've always wanted to try it every time we zip through the Contemporary on the monorail. I can't wait to take a picture w/ the characters there. DH will just "love" it! :rolleyes1

I don't know what it is, but lately I have seriously been neglecting my PTR. Our trip is in 57 days!!!!!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. CRAZY!! So, onto an update about my poor VB bag:
I had a little snafu, er scratch that -- MAJOR snafu with the post office. I ordered my VB bag on 6/15. Well, I never received any tracking information so I contacted the seller to see what was up. She informed me that the item had been delivered (per the priority tracking #). Uh, what?! Delivered, where?! I was a bit miffed. I confirmed the mailing address, and immediately casted blame on my crappy neighbors. I know, this is rude but if you knew them you'd totally understand why I immediately suspected them. :rolleyes1 I asked around to see if anyone had received my package by mistake and all said no -- one acted like she didn't even know what a Priority mail box looked like. Ok, whatever.
So, I called the post office to see if they might have it there. The conversation went like this:
::Ring, ring:: (It took ten minutes to get someone to answer. I was not about to hang up! I'm persistent.)
Post office man: "Hello."
Me: "Yes, I never received a package that has been confirmed as delivered. My address is [insert address] and the tracking number is..."
Post office man: "Oh, wow. You do realize you live in a rough area, right?"
Me: "Um, thank you. Unfortunately, I did not request your unsolicited opinion on my neighborhood. Could you do your job and help me find my package? Thanks!"
This guy was absolutely NO help. He put me through to another women, and she was helpful. She got in touch with my carrier, who claims to have not remembered where he left my package. Umm...I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he does deliver to a lot of houses. The nice lady did say she would speak to the post master about getting me my money back for the package since it was their fault they package was lost. I'm not holding my breath, but hopefully someone good will come from that. I'm supposed to get a call back this afternoon. :goodvibes Sadly, I will not be receiving my VB bag. :sad1:
RIP little VB bag, wherever you may have wound up. If I see you hanging from the shoulder of one of my skanky neighbors, I will do my best to rescue you!

Very cute! I was looking at Old Navy's sale stuff online and saw this.
I'm at a standstill with shopping for vacation. Weather in December could be high 70's (in which case I'd wear dresses/skirts and a little cardigan or something in the morning) or in the 50's (in which case I'd wear jeans and a sweatshirt). I'm going to miss all of the summer sales because of this!!
How far down the leg does this dress hit? I'm about 5'7 give or take 1/2 an inch and love wearing skirts/dresses in WDW, but not if they are going to be hard getting into/out of rides gracefully in, if you know what I mean!!! ;) :lmao:

Thanks! The dress is actually pretty short. I'm 6' and ALL legs. However, my sister has the same dress in pink and she's 5'5 and it hits her a little below her knee. It's super comfy, but I won't be wearing it to the parks -- unless I want to give Goofy a cheep thrill! ;)
Yeah, December weather is kind of a crap shoot. We went in 2007, and the first few days were in the 80s. By the end of our trip I was wearing EVERY layer I had brought. It got down to the 30s one night!

Does anyone else ever have weird dreams leading up to their trips? Last night, I had a dream...er, a nightmare about our trip. First, my mom and sister decided to tag along. My sister is not a problem, but I have sworn off going w/ my mom for many reason -- mostly b/c she drives me insane. :rolleyes1 We arrive at MCO, and I head down to rent our car. When I get down there, Enterprise is no where to be found. They just up and went out of business. So, I panic and search for a new rental car. Finally, that's straightened out and we head to WL. We head inside and I immediately see a pin I want to trade for. I reach in my bag, and realize I forgot all my pins at home. :scared1: I'm absolutely horrified at this point and tears are just rolling down my face. I then have to call my other sister and demand that she next-day my pins to me. :rotfl:
Yep, that's the dream. The sad thing is, I've had the a very similar dream where I always forget my pins at home. :confused3 Isn't that strange? DH thinks I'm nuts, and a little too obsessed w/ my pins. Is he right? Or, am I just a bit mentally unsound?
Anyone else have similar dreams??

That is so funny! I hope none of those things happen for real. I think it is just stress
I had a weird dream last night. We watched the season finale of LOSt again (the incident) right before bed and I was trying to wrap my head around who was Jacob and Facob (or Esau or Notlocke). who was in the cabin? was the cabin to keep someone in, someone out or both? And just trying to make sense of all of it while I was lying in bed. THen when I finally went to sleep I dreamt about it all night.
What is even weirder is that I was telling this to a coworker and he said he dreamt last night that he killed someone and hid the body in his trunk and was trying to figure out all night long what to do with the body :lmao: When he woke up he ran outside to check his car just in case :rotfl2:

I had a strange dream once that I got to ride Toy Story Mania. Now, that may not sound so weird, but keep in mind this was before the attraction was even open and therefore had never ridden it before. :confused3:rotfl:

Mmm...I love bagels! And I've heard Jamba Juice is REALLY good. I can't wait to try it. Seriously, all I want to do on our trip is eat! I'm going to come home weighing 500 lbs! :lmao::rotfl:
Girl me too lol!

HAHA OMG I have them too!! I have been dreaming of Disney lately. Most of them have to do with my ADRs, like they lose my reservations. Last night I had a dream we were eating at Ohana.
My mom had some crazy dream last night about disney too. There was a fire in whatever hotel we were staying in, and she said that I knew where the secret elevator was lol. She said I called it The alice in wonderland elevator. LOL! so odd.

:rotfl2: I had a Disney nightmare last night too---and our soonest trip is still over 3 months away!
This will be the first trip to WDW with my digital SLR camera (see recent pics from 4th of July here (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=32574487&postcount=26) (also in my Christmas PTR)). I have been practicing and studying and loving every minute of it and CANNOT wait to get to WDW to really get some spectacular (by my standards) photos.
So in my dream last night, I was riding Pirates with my camera trying to get some low-light shots of the ride. I went to switch lenses and sat the camera on the floor of the boat. When I got off the ride, I was holding a lens and my bag---but no camera :scared1: :scared1: I ran back to the CM loading the boats to tell her and she assured me she would check as they were unloading. Well, all the boats came around and no camera. Someone has taken it!!! I was so upset, so I started walking to away and what was that on the ground in front of me? MY POOR LITTLE CAMERA! It was broken, the LCD was completely cracked, the viewfinder's glass was missing, the knobs were broken off. It was horrible.
So what did I learn from this nightmare? NO changing lenses on the ride. What's on is on and if I can't get my shot I'll ride again. NO putting the camera down unless it goes into the camera bag. No putting it on a bench while we rest, laying it on a table while we eat---it'll stay on my wrist, on my neck or in my bag, the end.
I'm sure the nightmares will just get more frequent as time goes on, but the way I look at it is that they serve some sort of purpose usually---so they can't be all bad, right?? ;)
Sweet dreams!

So glad to hear I'm not the only one having some crazy dreams!!
That is so funny! I hope none of those things happen for real. I think it is just stress

The funny thing is, I really don't have a lot of trip related stress. Well, not yet anyway.
Ooh, that LOST finale was so good! Definitely difficult to wrap your head around though. I think Loophole Locke was in the cabin and that circle was keeping him in it. Although, that really wouldn't explain why they were taking real Locke's body to the cabin. Oh no, now I'm going to have to go back and watch it tonight.
HA! Your poor coworker. :rotfl: I hate when I have such realist dreams. I have memories where I can't even remember if it's real or a dream. That's really sad, seeing as I'm only 26. I should have a better memory than that. :rolleyes1
I had a strange dream once that I got to ride Toy Story Mania. Now, that may not sound so weird, but keep in mind this was before the attraction was even open and therefore had never ridden it before. :confused3:rotfl:

I didn't know you hadn't been on TSM yet. You're going to LOVE it!!!! It's one of my new favorites. It seriously gives you your forearm a workout. Or, maybe I'm just severely out of shape? :lmao::rotfl:

Ooh, I'd be so ticked if they lost my ADRs. What do you usually do to them once you find out in your dream? I'd be kicking some serious butt! :rotfl2:
Ha, you saved the day! That's funny, even your mom is having Disney dreams.

Oh, Ann! That seriously made me feel sick just reading about it--even though it was just a dream. I could picture myself doing something like that IRL. :scared: But hey, at least you learned a valuable lesson via your dream! That's the best kind.
WOW!!! I just checked out your 4th pictures -- AMAZING!!! I especially love the one of your cousin with the angel wings and halo. I can't wait to see what kind of pictures you take on your trip in December.

MUST. SAY. NO. TO. EBAY.
Seriously, I have no willpower. I need to stay away from ebay until after our trip. I just sold a few things on there and of course, I immediately felt compelled to go use my newly earned money on Disney pins. Aaron told me to just wait until our trip. Did I listen? No. To my defense, I found two hard to find pins that I've been wanting for awhile and I got a GREAT deal on both of them.

The Mickey pin is a completer for the set. I wasn't able to find it back in October. It's been driving me CRAZY not having the final piece to the set.
I swear though, I am NOT going to buy anything else from ebay until AFTER our trip. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I feel your pain!!
I just bought 20 pins for trading while we are there, along with another 10 to add to my new "collection" :scared1: :rotfl: There is a really great thread on the collector's board that lists reliable pin sellers on e-bay. I've had a lot of success so far with Oliverjuiceyou21, TheWill, DomDisneyPin and Disney_Palace (maybe no underscore, I forget). It's so addicting!! The good part is, since they were traders I didn't want to spend much and a lot of them I won for about $2.00 each + .50 for shipping, not too shabby---only spent about $30 total. :thumbsup2
AND---thanks for the nice words about the 4th of July pictures. I thought they came out pretty well, I'm really looking forward to our trip(s) to The World with my new stuff. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if I come back with some great pictures to post on my TR I'll have some readers. :rolleyes1 My thought is, I'll post all the pics from day 1 of the trip and then tell everyone unless I have some comments---"no pictures for you!" :goodvibes

Pins are SO addictive!! Once you start, it's REALLY hard to just do it in moderation. It doesn't help that I'm slightly compulsive. Oh well...I love it!
Thanks for the ebay seller recommendations. I've actually used Oliverjuiceyou21 quite a few times. I've had a lot of luck w/ them. I try to stick w/ sellers who are selling the pin on the original pin card. It makes me feel a bit better when buying from them.
Oh, I hope you don't hold out on the pictures. You are really an awesome photographer!! I can barely use my point and shoot. :rolleyes1 I'll be VERY UPSET if you only post one day's worth of pics!!!
I do feel your pain though on getting PTR readers. At first, I was so concerned no one was reading. Then I realized that I had fun spilling all my randomness on here so I didn't care if I had tons of readers or not. I'm really happy with everyone who has contributed in this. Plus, I've been REALLY bad about DISing lately. I've just gotten busy with ::GASP:: other things that I have no time. Well, except when I'm at work. Shhh...don't tell. ;)

Shocker...yet another off topic post! :rolleyes1
I'm throwing my sister a co-ed baby shower next weekend and I need HELP! I was wondering what kind of activities/games we should do. Since men and women are going to be there, I want to do something entertaining for both genders. AND...they need to be something that visually impaired people can participate in. Here's what I've come up with:
Diapers in the Dark
How to play this baby shower game: Blindfold each guest, one by one, and instruct them that they will be timed to see how long it takes them to put the diaper on the "baby", but they will also be judged on how well their baby's diaper looks after they are through. As each guest starts, time them with a stop watch and have someone write down the times to keep track. Have the expectant mother be the judge of who did the best and neatest diaper job, and the fastest time.
Baby Shower Price is Right!
Items could include:
1 Package of Diapers,
1 Bottle of Baby Food
1 Package of 100 q-tips
1 Bottle of multivitamins
1 Bottle of Baby Powder
1 Pair of Baby Shoes
1 Onesie
1 Bottle
1 Pacifier
1 Elmo stuffed animal
Any baby items that match your specific theme would be excellent items to have!
Then, make a list of the baby items on one side and a blank line on the other. Click here for a free printable baby shower games card.
How to play this free printable baby shower game: During the shower, give each guest a list and a pen. Show each item to the group and have them write down what they think it costs. Then have them add up their prices for all the items. The one closest to the actual total on your receipt (minus the tax) is the winner! Present the expectant mother with the baby items. She'll be needing them!
Guess how many diapers
Place several diapers in container and have participants guess how many are inside. The person closest will receive a prize.
So...what do you guys think? Any suggestions???

My oldest nephew, Erik (age 9), went in for surgery this afternoon to relieve severe pressure on his eye. A bit of back story -- Erik was has Congenital Glaucoma. Over his short life, he's had over 40 eye operations. He has zero vision in his left eye and some vision in his right "good" eye. He had a tube placed in his eye to help alleviate some of the pressure. Recently, it's has started to build up to severe levels. He's in surgery now, and they don't know if they'll be able to save his "good" eye. Which means, he will be completely blind.
I just hate to see him go through this. He's so young! I know losing your vision is not a death sentence by any means. But still, the thought of being completely blind before you're ten years old?? It's hard to even comprehend.

Thanks so much everyone for the prayers! We all really appreciate it! The doctor wasn't able to perform the surgery the way he originally planned because the pressure was higher than they thought. However, they did this experimental surgery procedure they think might help relieve some of it. The don't how long this will hold off the pressure build up, but it did temporarily fix it. He's also on several different meds to help with the pressure build up. So far, so good!
THANK GOODNESS!!! We don't know what the future will hold for his vision, but for now he can see out of that eye. We are just so relieved that he's been blessed with this small miracle right now. He deserved it! Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Those pins really are hard to find! I lucked out and got three during our October trip. I found Stitch online after we got home. I was missing Mickey forever and I hated it! I put all my pins on a display board and I had this missing piece. It seriously stressed me out. I think I'm OCD about my pins. :rotfl2:

Ooh, make sure to link it in your signature. Otherwise, I'm going to have to stalk the boards for it. :rotfl:
Ha! My other sister suggested we do the candy bar thing too. Don't feel too bad, I watch "The Bachelorette" religiously so I have no room to judge on guilty TV pleasures. Anyway, I was thinking about doing the game but my sister's boyfriend didn't trust me. He has this feeling I'm going to go out and scoop up dog pooh to put in the diapers instead of candy bars. :confused3 I'm not sure where he'd ever come up w/ an idea like that. I'm very sweet. :rolleyes1

I'm really want to do the dirty diaper game. I think it would be hilarious. Plus, none of the people attending are so uppity that they wouldn't appreciate it. And if anyone has a problem with it, I might just have to shove one of the dirty diapers in their face! Just kidding, of course. :rolleyes1
