I found that hidden Mickey on our last ride on HM during our last trip. I kept wanting to ride again and find it, but we just never found the time. It was a fluke, actually, as I didn't know it existed!!! Too cool!

GREAT GREAT GREAT episode..... you know the part with the doors and the clock and the hand, well when I was a pre-teen I went to Disneyland with two of my cousins, and one of the "ghosts (cast members)" did reach out and touch us, we never screamed so loud, I think he grabbed my cousins hand or something, so creepy fun. :rotfl:

Okay that would scare the bejeezuses out of me LOL!! It would be great fun but still totally scary LOL!!!

Wow!!! You've really taught me a whole new appreciation for HM. I really need to pay more attention next time!!!!

Hey Jen,

Your description of HM is amazing. Last time I rode it was over 20 years ago and I remember very little of it. Do we have a date for gnomefest? (I forget who I have dates with but I'm sure you and I are riding up front on the monorail together right?) I would love a play-by-play with you as my guide.

Chapter 14: The...okay it took forever...here you go Chapter LOL!!!!

I’m pitiful….I’m terrible…I really should be put out of my misery…however I hope that if I beg enough you will all forgive me for my tremendous delay in getting back to my trip report. Life handed me a bunch of lemons and I have been very busy making a lot of lemonade however that meant that something had to go and well DIS was that thing. I had a lot of personal issues to take care of along with some things at work, however it seems that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (and no it’s not a train LOL). So I’m back, if you will have me???

Okay first of all I am sorry for the lack of pictures in this update I wanted to get this up at school while I had the time and it was on my mind so pictures are at home and I will update them later in their own separate post…I promise LOL! I can tell your right now that my life is full of countdowns, I’m counting down the days till I’m in Orlando, I’m counting down the days until the students are gone, I’m counting down the days until our faculty in-service days are gone and I’m most certainly not counting how many days until school starts again. This girl is ready to be a free bird my friends.

Nobby and I last left you as we were exiting the most wonderful ride in the whole wide world, and you know what guys in less than 4 days I will be riding that ride again with the lovely LL and let me tell you sometimes the idea of making LL raise her hand with me as we both agree to be volunteers at the Haunted Mansion has been what helped me get through the day. So, as Nobby and I exited the ride and I walked right pass the pet cemetery and no pictures (what was I thinking, one of my to-dos was to get Mr. Toad’s gravestone pic LOL). I started to notice that things were getting very crowed in Fantasyland and Liberty Square. Well the one thing I had decided on this trip was that if I got uncomfortable that I had the freedom to pick up and leave. Well it was a couple of hours before my late lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to head over to DHS and do some sightseeing and take more of those photo pass pictures I was starting to love. So I placed Nobby back into his special carrying vehicle and worked my way through Adventureland and back on to Main Street. I just took my time enjoying the windows and the sights and sounds of Main Street. One of things I am looking forward to my next trip is being able to really explore and see all the little details of Main Street; it is just a fascinating place to me. I also really enjoyed the fact that I could stop and look at things and not worry about annoying anyone else with a delay. Well this was the one day I didn’t drive around Disney (don’t worry I’m going to post a whole post on the wonders that is driving around Disney with Stanley, my GPS LOL). So no car today, so I headed to TTC to get on a bus. Now I must confess I was very wary of the bus system this trip because of all the talk of the norovirus and while I’m not a germaphobe per say I was not all about getting sick on my trip. However, I was proven wrong and the ride to DHS was uneventful and soon I was making the trek to enter DHS.

I have to say that I just adore the people who welcome you into the Disney. The security guards had the best time with Nobby and I. The look on their faces was priceless when they realized I had a gnome with me, although I’m pretty sure Nobby was not impressed with being man-handled often LOL. The security guard this time had a whole conversation with me about Nobby and wished me a great trip. Then I was walking into DHS. Can I just tell you how much I love walking into a park? Nothing beats that feeling of first stepping into a whole new world and really experiencing the park. So as I was standing in awe of DHS a very crazy thought entered into my mind, why not go see if there were any TSM fast passes left…hahahahahahahahahha, well I enjoyed the walk over there, but no such luck would find me today, all the fastpasses were gone. Oh well I was there for a great lunch and to just really enjoy what the park has to offer, so Nobby and I headed to Sunset Blvd and then spent the whole way convincing Nobby that Tower of Terror was not going to kill us and that there were worse ways to die than on a roller coaster, although I’m not sure Nobby liked any of the other ways I suggested. However, by the time we got there I had convinced Nobby that we would say a really long prayer before and “hopefully” after the ride and we got our Fastpasses for after lunch. Then it was time to head to check in for lunch. On our way back up Sunset Blvd, we stopped and posed for some pretty cool photopass pictures and I made sure to find the Villain shop because me and that place had a date for later, I love me some villains.

As far as meals go this was one of the ones I was really looking forward to, being on the Deluxe dining plan meant I got to splurge a bit and try some signature restaurants and I really wanted to go to the Hollywood Brown Derby. So why all the Brown Derby love?? Well for one really really big reason, I Love Lucy. Ever since the first time I watched her enter the Brown Derby in Hollywood and gush over the stars I have wished I could eat there. I’m a huge I Love Lucy fan so to have a seat next to the caricatures and the light fixtures that look like derby hats was amazing to me. I really enjoyed just being in the atmosphere and imagining having dinner with Lucy herself.

My wonderful server for this lunch was Geoffrey and he was superb he made nice conversation and introduced himself to Nobby and brought out some very nice warm bread rolls and butter for Nobby and I to share as we argued over what appetizer we would like to try. After careful deliberation it was decided that we would split the coconut shrimp. Geoffrey highly recommended it and said it was a great way to start off any meal, so shrimp it was. I really wish I had the ability to show you how wonderful these shrimp looked, but you will have to wait until I get home and can access photobucket, but they were seriously yummy. Nobby and I really enjoyed the shrimp and after that yummy goodness Nobby said he was stuffed and wanted to take a nap until dessert so away he went. After months and months of contemplation over the menu at Brown Derby I had come prepared with what I wanted to eat for the main meal. I ordered the Grilled Ribeye, medium well (I don’t want much pink at all in my steak). The steak arrived and it was also simply amazing. Then I had to decide on dessert, well this was not an easy decision. Nobby who was revived and less cranky from his power nap (shhh don’t tell him I told you he was cranky, he go all gnomish on me and that is a scary thought) wanted to make his input known. Well after a very intense best of 3 versions of rock, paper, scissors which Nobby won…stupid gnome and his rock all the time, decided we should split the White chocolate toffee tower. Well if this is the decadence one receives when letting a gnome cream them in Rock, Paper, Scissors, sign me up, because this was to die for. This dessert melted in my mouth and both Nobby and I couldn’t finish it all off. Well after saying our goodbyes and leaving a nice tip for Geoffrey it was time to make the dreaded, I mean way anticipated walk down Sunset Blvd and our date with destiny. Once again I had to convince Nobby that no he wasn’t going to fly out of his seat, yes I planned on taking my glasses off, and yes I would make sure to say at least 2 more prayers that this would not be the way the Lord chose to take us out of this world, but he finally gave in (after a few promises of more rides on IASW, dang that gnome and his obsession with that ride). I have to say that the queue for TOT is amazing and you really feel as if you have been transported to a whole new dimension which did nothing to alleviate Nobby’s fears. After taking many light fixture shots and enjoying the spooky hotel it was time to enter the library. I’m a big fan of the way Disney incorporates history into its rides, so I made sure to find the phone and the glasses that are hidden in the room which give honor to previous episodes of the Twilight Zone which I have not watched because the music alone freaks me out, I mean freaks Nobby out, when he stays at my house we pretty much watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarves or the Tinkerbelle movie, after awhile I about go insane so he lets me put on Sleeping Beauty, he likes those fairies too apparently LOL.

So after the very scary movie it was time to enter the boiler room and I was doing everything in my power not to let Nobby know that he could still take the chicken exit, although I could tell he was really thinking about it and that he and I were going to do this together. So without further ado we got on, and if you remember from my PTR…ahahah I don’t even remember much from my PTR LOL, one of my goals was that I was going to keep my eyes open the entire time on TOT this time. Well, did I do….you’d better believe it people!! I screamed like I was going to die and Nobby screamed like he was going to die, but our eyes were open. We both may have kissed the ground when we got off, not that I would ever show you the pictures of that, but we did. We conquered our, ummm, I mean Nobby’s fear and we did TOT together with our eyes open. YAY for us!!!!!

So after the joy that was riding TOT, Nobby and I were pretty much done with scary rides for the day so no RnR roller coaster for us. We decided to go ride one of our most favoritest rides at DHS, The Great Movie Ride, we LOVE this ride!!!! It is because of this ride that I finally caved and watched Casablanca; I will never look at that scene with dry eyes again. Also growing up in Kansas, you may be able to guess another one of my favorite scenes, LOL We’re off to see the Wizard the wonderful wizard, I really enjoy those scenes. Nobby and I like to make a game out of riding this ride; we see who can name the most movies during the montage at the end. Well he might be wicked good at Rock, Paper, Scissors, but I own the gnome in Movie trivia, it was great fun had by all. Nobby and I then headed over and rode Star Tours, that novice robot driver cracks me up each time. The night was starting to come to a close and I made myself a promise of an early night so Nobby and I decided to go over to the Animation Studios and see Sorcerer Mickey and call it a night. Well for some reason it never fails but I get lost in that shop, not like lost in all the great merchandise literally like I don’t know which way to go lost, so finally I found my way to back and my jaw dropped. Everywhere you looked there were characters. Frozone from the Incredibles, the characters from Bolt, Sorcerer Mickey, Pluto and Donald, and even better the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John. Well I’m no dummy and I know rare characters when I see them so I beelined it over to Prince John. Well knowing I should keep on the good side of Prince John, I addressed him as King John which he found to be quite amusing and warmed up to me quite quickly. (Once again I promise pictures soon LOL) Well we had some good fun and I even got the shot of him sucking his thumb and holding his ear…it was great. Then I got shots of the Sheriff of Nottingham interacting with others at the different stations. Finally I got into the line with the greatest Mickey ever…the Sorcerer apprentice himself. Well I got my photo with Mickey and then decided it was time to head back to Pop Century when magical character moment #2 walked in, whoever could that be…well it was Minnie Mouse herself. I waited until some of the small children were done with Minnie and I walked over to introduce myself to her. Well I had been prepared for this, before leaving for Disney on the DIS board there was this great thread that talked about things to say to characters, well I had the perfect thing to ask Minnie. After our how do you do’s, I turned to Minnie and asked her when was Mickey going to ask her to marry him. Well this got quite the blush out of Minnie, she then shrugged her shoulders and then grabbed my hand and took me over to Sorcerer Mickey. Okay I had been prepared for Minnie to shrug and maybe cry on my shoulder, I had not been prepared for Minnie to make me ask Mickey for her why he had not asked her to marry him yet. Well after my moment of petrified fear and the look on an impatient Minnie’s face I turned to Mickey and asked him. After what I assumed was a moment for his life to flash before him, Mickey then very calmly pointed to his ring finger and shook his head. “Oh you don’t have a ring for her yet?” I asked. He nodded his head, being the quick thinker I am, I proceeded to take off my anniversary ring, not my wedding ring I didn’t think Prince Phillip would like that too much, and offered it to Mickey. He very excitedly took the ring and got down on one knee and proposed to Minnie who gladly accepted, however there was one problem. The ring didn’t fit, so Mickey very sadly gave me my ring back and blew Minnie and a kiss and then he had to leave. Oh I had been so close to witnessing what would have been one of the greatest moments in Disney history, but at last it was not meant to be, next time I vow to bring a bigger ring. Either way it was a great moment with great laughs.

Now it was really time for us to head back to the hotel. I had a cranky gnome and I was a bit tired myself. Thankfully the walk to the bus stop wasn’t that long and the wait was even shorter and soon I was back home getting ready for bed.

And this is where I should leave you…I really hope now that the end of the year is here and that I will be at Disney again will motivate me to continue. I know many of you have been more than patient and I thank you for that!!! I will proceed to write more in the next couple of days!! Thank you to those who are sticking with me!!

I will do my best to include pictures in the morning so you can actually see many of these moments through my and Nobby’s eyes!!!

Have a great day!!

Alright here are those pictures...turns out I met more characters than I remembered LOL!!!!

:cheer2: Jen updated!! Jen updated!!

Sorry, I had to get that out first. Now I'll go back and actually read

OK, your Minnie story ROCKS!!! I'm afraid I'm one of those people who have NO idea what to say to the characters so I stick with Hi, smile for the photographer then go on my way with no fun stories to tell...sad I know

Oh no I used to get shy too...I found that on a trip where I was going solo I had to come out of my shell or nothing would have happened for me...it was great!! However I would never think of you as one of those people, you are special people to me!!!

WOW - Can I be the first to congratulate you on the resurrection of your infamous trip report? You sure haven't lost any of your literary skills. Welcome back!

I hope you will have time to post your pics before you leave on your next grand journey where you will finally get to meet the one and only LL. :cool1:

Why thank you!!! I'm glad so many people still stuck around to read!!

Ummm well see I had plans for that but along with my keys that have gone missing so has the flash drive with my Disney pictures but my hubby has promised to search the house top to bottom to help locate it. However I'm not going to let that stop me I'm going to keep typing away!!!

Jen updated! Jen updated! Jen updated!

WOOO HOOOOO!

I can't believe you met Prince John! I hope you bring some of that character mojo with you on Friday because I want to meet some rare characters! :yay:

Good for you riding Tower of Terror, I don't think I've got it in me to ride it. Toooooooo scary.

I am glad you enjoyed your Brown Derby meal. I can't wait to to go!!

I had some really really great character meets during my trip and I am spreading Pixie Dust that you and I will be as lucky...it was a great time to me to see all these rare characters out and about!

My jaw acctually DROPPED when I saw you had updated, Jen!

Great ring story.....wonder where I could find a BIG bracelet/ring? :upsidedow

Well, some of us have to be lame, Katie, so that the fun people's stories are fun to listen to!

LOL...I guess it was pretty shocking that I updated LOL!!

You are not lame, you are one of the funnest people I know!! I imagine you have quite a few stories you could share Julez!!!

I am sticking with you! :goodvibes What a great update. I'm looking forward to pictures!

LOVE your Minnie and Mickey store! :lovestruc Too cute!!!

I really really enjoyed my time with Nobby he is definitely a character himself LOL!!!!

Brown Derby was amazing and I can't wait to go back and eat lunch there again. I'm totally getting the famous cobb salad this time.

Yay! An update! You're one of those writers who doesn't even need the pictures - your storytelling is that good! (However, bring on the pictures, woman! :P)

Excellent update, sounds like a great rest of your day. i really had fun talking to the characters, too, but i certainly didn't have any moments quite as memorable as yours!!

Aww thanks for the great compliment I really enjoy writing! I wish I had more time!!!

Whoa! I totally had that same conversation with Logan before braving the Tower of Terror. He did not take it as well as Nobby, and almost refused to ride the Rockin' Rollercoaster after wards.

The verdict is
ToT: 0
RnRC: 132816705

He liked it THAT much.
I love your update!:cheer2:

Tower of Terror is an adventure all in its self for me. I really have to talk myself up, oh wait I mean talk Nobby up before we can get on that...its quite the journey LOL!

LOVE the TOT description! I'd totally chicken out on that one.

YAY! An update!
We all know how life gets, so no worries! Besides, you have had another trip to plan. :thumbsup2

Your meet with Minnie was AWESOME! What a magical memory.

Brown Derby sounds soooo yummy. Do you think it's a good "date night" type of place? Or should we aim more for something like the California Grille or Yachtsman's?

And GOOD JOB NOBBY (and Jen ;)) for doing ToT with your eyes open! I scream on that ride so much, I'm sure I'm great entertainment to those around me! :rotfl:

Chapter 15: EPCOT Shared with Someone Special

Good Morning fellow Disney fanatics!! Yes has my dear friend Paula mentioned I need to get this show on the road because I have a PTR to start…I have always worked much better under deadlines. Well as it turns out when I don’t have my photos already uploaded I forget a lot of things LOL!! So I’m going to go back a bit and edit the last chapter after I’m done writing this one LOL!

Well after the amazing night, and great character interaction of the night before Nobby and I definitely slept well that night and were ready to go the next morning. This morning we would be meeting up with a very special young lady in my life and exploring EPCOT. When planning this trip it turned out one of my teen girls (from my youth group where Phillip and I are sponsors) would also be down at Disney the same time and we made plans to explore together and give her parents some alone time, yeah I’m romantical like that! Nobby and I arose and got ready for the day but as it turned out we had more time than I had previous thought we would have, so we decided to explore the resort a bit and take some pictures. I really do enjoy Pop Century and all the fun things they have around.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0849-1.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0850.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0854.jpg

I made sure to try and find if they had a year sign dedicated to my birth year and sure enough…here is a memorable moment from 1982.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0867.jpg

After getting our fill of Pop Century, Nobby and I made the trek to our car and headed to EPCOT. On the way I called Steph and asked about her ETA, well they were running a bit behind so I told her I was going to head to Soarin’ and get a fast pass and would meet her there to get hers, a plan was made YAY!! I quickly learned that I’m not the greatest at finding my car in a parking lot (I have trouble at Wal-Mart), so I made sure to snap a picture of the sign near my car and to memorize what monorail number I was at, trust me the adventures in parking lots would become a Disney tradition for me LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0876.jpg

(Oops maybe I shouldn’t be saying this with Paula and C reading this LOL), no worries ladies I have always made it home safely LOL! I had never been to a rope drop at EPCOT so I was excited to see how they do things. I really enjoyed watching all the characters come out; I was right up on the rope so I got some face time with some pretty cool characters.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0880.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0882.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0884.jpg

Then the countdown began, and the cattle herding to Soarin’ began. Wow, people are excited to get to that ride. I did my best to get off to the side and just take my time to get there, it wasn’t like I was in a big hurry I was going to wait to ride with Steph. Shortly after rope drop, Steph arrived and her introductions were made to Nobby, Nobby loved this girl, she was right up his alley. While I’m the safe, conservative, not going to break the rules type, Steph is a teenager so it worked out nice LOL!! She was more than happy to help cart him around. (Going to interject, with Steph’s age I’m not going to be posting a lot of pictures of her in here, I’m just not comfortable doing that with a child that is not my own, I do have permission to post a few, but I’m going to avoid frontal shots if at all possible). After Soarin, it was off to Mission Space. Well I have to admit something to you all, the big stern, stick to her guns high school biology teacher, yeah I’m a softy when it comes to my girls in my youth group. After some minor arm twisting, I was walking onto the orange side of Mission Space, yes you heard right, the orange side. I forewarned Steph that if I was going to vomit I was going to vomit on her; she just laughed and said come Ms. O, we can do this.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0891.jpg

Steph and I had a blast on this ride. It had way more to do with the foreigners who were riding with us who were absolutely amazing and hilarious. They kept asking if we knew what we were supposed to do and we said press buttons, so off we were pressing and clicking all types of buttons LOL…we were laughing so hard and we hadn’t even taken off yet. During takeoff the gentleman next to Steph was screaming and just having a great time and we were all laughing and it was great, totally took my mind off of the impending doom I was so certain off. I would gladly ride the orange side again as long as my companions promised to be that much fun, nothing like making a good times happen at Disney, these are the type of memories that stick with you. After Mission Space, Steph insisted we explore the gift shop with Nobby so we did. Then Steph informed me of a tradition she has at Disney, the wearing of hats (LOL this girl is a future DISer in the making LOL). So I had to put on funny hats, I resisted the urge to Lysol the hats first LOL, it was a great time, don’t you think I would make a great astronaut LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0892.jpg

Then it was off to Test Track, where my very smart Disney companion was more than happy to take the single rider line (I’m telling you peeps, this girl has DISer written all over her LOL) we made sure to take some of the obligatory line pictures, this time Nobby refused saying the floor was too dirty, that gnome and his pickiness LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0897.jpg

We loved Test Track and ran back through to ride it one more time, there was absolutely no wait for us!!

Lunchtime was vastly approaching and I was treating Steph to lunch at Les Chefs, she was very excited about this, because usually her family only eats in Germany and she had never eaten anywhere else in WS. Well I was about to make sure this changed; I knew Steph would enjoy Les Chefs. So we waltzed our way through Canada and it was a great time to reminisce about our mission trip to Quebec.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0903.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0904.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0905.jpg

I’m pretty sure we walked through England, have no photo proof of this but knowing the WS map like I do, I can almost guarantee we walked through England LOL! Then we arrived in France at Les Chefs.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0908.jpg

Steph and I were both very excited, this was one of the meals I was very much looking forward to and let me tell you it did not disappoint. After the 10th time of reassuring Steph that she was not to look at prices and just order whatever her heart desired (silly girl LOL) she finally relaxed and began exploring the menu. Steph and I had been granted a great two-seat table right next to the window so while we were deciding on food we were able to people watch which was a lot of fun for us. Later in the meal, the street performers for France would come out and we would have some of the best seats in the house to watch their performance! Well while we were deciding Julie our server brought us some warm bread and finally we decided on our food.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0924.jpg

Steph choose the French Menu which consisted of this very yummy (she let me have a bite) French Onion Soup, the Croque Monsieur and Green salad, and the Vanilla Crème Brulee (Steph and I would end up trading desserts at the end…I’m definitely a crème brulee girl LOL).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0928.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0929.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0932.jpg

For my order, I started with the Mushroom and Cheese flatbread (this could have been a meal in itself, good thing I had Steph to share with me), I also choose the Croque monsieur as my main entrée and for dessert I got the poriforles au chocolat (very good but very very rich and Steph liked it more so we traded LOL).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0927.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0931.jpg

Lunch was great we just sat and caught up on her life, sometimes I feel that I don’t put enough time into my girls lives, this was a prime time for her and I to really spend some quality time together and I was so grateful for that opportunity. Then something else fabulous happen, as you might remember I was on the DxDP for this trip, so I was going to pay OOP for Steph. Well when Julie took my KTTW card to take my credits and charge Steph’s to my room, she came back and told me they just rang up both meals as credits…WOOT…I was so happy, I had credits left to use and this helped that and I had more spending money for souvenirs now…that is Disney magic LOL!
After lunch, Steph and I were on a mission to find characters…would we find them or would my luck from the night before have ran out. Well stay tuned….I promise not a long wait; I have a PTR to start LOL!!!!

First off, that is the cutest astronaut picture I have EVER seen. :rotfl:

That flatbread looks delish! Hmmm, now I want to go back to Chefs for a flatbread. I should have had you give me that dessert picture for our Chefs lunch since I didn't get a picture of mine. :rotfl:

Thank you for taking the 1982 picture at Pop Century, I never got to do that even though it was on my list.

Oh and getting lost in the parking lot!? I would have never expected that from you. :rotfl2: We should have taken pictures too!

Chefs always looks so good!! I adore French Onion soup and the sandwich looks delish (notice the theme of both being topped with CHEESE!!!) YUM Sounds like a great chance to spend some quality time with your student.

We always took a picture of the end of our parking row but we had Patrick with us so we never needed the picture. I swear that kids mind is a steel trap!!

Chapter 16: Characters and more Characters and Steak for Dinner

Steph and I really enjoyed our meal at Chefs and after filling our bellies with great food we were ready to conquer the rest of World Showcase. We had told Steph’s parents beforehand that we were on a mission to find some characters. Steph really wanted to find Beauty and the Beast, I wanted to find Aurora, and Nobby wanted to find Snow White. Well as we were settling the bill, my cell phone rang it was Steph’s mom and she wanted to know if we wanted to watch Impressions de France with them. I had never seen the movie before and Steph insisted that we should, she said if for nothing else the music is fantastic (Steph plays the flute and loves the beginning of that movie.) I was really impressed with the theater and I did enjoy the movie, afterwards we explored the back of France, where I saw this and had to take a picture.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0935-1.jpg

A certain DISer will know this picture was taken with her in mind LOL! Steph and I decided at that point to try to find Princess Aurora’s picture spot and wait and see if we could find her, when the cell phone rang again, it was her mom again LOL! She was calling to inform us that Belle AND the Beast were outside between France and Morocco by the lagoon. Well you didn’t have to tell us twice we headed straight over there. Steph got her book of Disney fairy tales signed and I made sure to introduce Nobby to Belle who was quite taken with the little gnome.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image117.jpg

I have to say that of all of our group pictures of me and Steph the ones taken with Belle and the Beast are some of my favorites and I have a copy of a couple of them on my desk at home. So after that we backtracked back and met up with Aurora for a few pictures.

Next stop was Morocco where we admired the beautiful tile work and light fixtures.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0940-1.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0944-1.jpg

Of course Steph insisted we stop and take a goofy hat picture and I being the good youth sponsor that I am happily obliged her.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0947.jpg

We didn’t really stop too long in Japan, we were on another mission, we wanted to enjoy the Voices of Liberty and then watch us some American Adventure. As were walking to the American Pavilion we were able to stop and listen to the Fife and Drum band play (Does anything make you feel more patriotic than listening to them play, gets me every time).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0956.jpg

We then made our way into the rotunda, now it had been a very long time since I had been in this pavilion so I asked Steph to give me a tour, this girl knows her EPCOT. She showed me all the lovely photos including the plane painted in such a way that you get different views of it as you walk in front of it, I was very impressed.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0963.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0978.jpg

She also showed me the different gallery exhibits. The Voices of Liberty were amazing, we had great seats right on the floor under the rotunda (LOL, yes I even sat on the floor for her LOL).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF0984.jpg

I really enjoyed the music but I was getting all excited for what was next and boy did it not disappoint. I simply adore the American Adventure, it’s just so American LOL! Once we were done with the show we headed to the gift shop and of course took a goofy looking hat picture again LOL!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1010.jpg

Then it was on to Italy, however on the way to Italy we hit JACKPOT, whatever do you mean Jen you might ask…well we hit the character jackpot. Between America and Italy were a ton of characters all waiting for us to meet and greet. Here are a few pictures of some of the characters were we able to meet…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1015.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1017.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1019.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1021.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1033.jpg

We had a blast meeting with all these characters, and then we enjoyed Italy. I love the architecture in Italy; it is just a gorgeous pavilion.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1039.jpg

On our way to Germany we had to once again stop and take a very goofy hat picture, of course this time Nobby insisted he be allowed to take a hat picture too.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1047.jpg

The gnome was getting a bit cranky because we had seen the characters we had wanted but no Snow White for him and he was getting nervous he wouldn’t get to see her again. Well he had nothing to worry about because waiting for us in Germany was his lovely lady and she was so very happy to see Nobby again. Isn’t that just a wonderful look of awe, Nobby was feeling much loved and very special once again!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image129.jpg

After literally dragging Nobby away from Snow White, we decided to press our luck and see if we could find Mulan in China. Mulan was another princess Steph had yet to meet and wanted to get her to sign her fairy tale book, so off to China we went.

Well as it turns out we had just missed Mulan, however another very special character was there to meet us, Mushu. Now Mushu is my favorite, that little dragon is hilarious so I was thrilled and so was Steph. Mushu was quite the character and decided to have some fun with Nobby, although I’m not quite sure how much Nobby enjoyed meeting Mushu, I think he might have met his match, what do you think???

After all of this I looked at my watch and realized it was getting close to the time of my Yatchsman reservation and meeting back up with Steph’s parents in England. So we quickly explored Norway and Mexico in hopes of finding some characters in England before we would say goodbye for dinner. I have to say I’m in love with the England pavilion it’s another one where the charm and beauty just get me.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1073.jpg

In England you meet characters in their very lovely toy store so we went and sure enough there was a short line to meet the Pooh characters so we got in line, even Nobby enjoyed getting in line.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1084.jpg

I love this room and all the memorabilia from Mary Poppins, I really want to get a carpet bag like hers some day.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1077.jpg

Then it was time to meet the characters, big hugs were given all around. These characters were a lot of fun and really loving I loved the look on Steph’s face when she got her first hug!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image144.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image145.jpg

Unfortunately after meeting up with Pooh and the gang our time was done for awhile, I was going to have dinner at the Yatchsman and Steph and her family was going to have dinner in Germany. So we met up and said goodbye and I headed to the Yatch Club. The walk from EPCOT to the Yatch Club was amazing, I was able to enjoy the view and take a few minutes to chat with Prince Phillip about the most wonderful day I had.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1095.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1096.jpg

I was in awe as I walked into the Yatch Club it was simply breathtaking. I made sure to take a photo of this gorgeous light fixture for LL.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1098.jpg

I would have wandered around even more but I had a very special dinner that I did not want to miss.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1099.jpg

I quickly checked in and only had to wait but a few moments before my hostess led me to my seat. On the way she showed me the different cuts of meats being cut right in the restaurant and showed me all the lovely desserts. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

My server John was very accommodating and always made sure I had plenty of water and stopped to converse with me. He first brought me out some rolls; I love bread so this was a great way to start.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1100.jpg

I began my meal with a light appetizer, I decided on the tomato salad and boy was I happy with this choice.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1102.jpg

The tomatoes were fresh and just ripe and the dressing was perfect, I would not hesitate to get this appetizer again.
For my main course, I got the Filet mignon with red wine sauce and mashed potatoes. I was no fool if I was going to the Yatchsman I was going to get the finest.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1108.jpg

Oh was this cut of meat good, it was so tender I could cut it with my fork and it was cooked to my preference. YUMMY!!

And dessert well dessert was easy…I chose the crème brulee, because this girl can never get enough of that stuff.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1110.jpg

Oh it was sinful!!

Dinner was amazing and I can’t wait for my next opportunity to dine at the Yatchsman everything and I mean everything was wonderful.
After dinner I decided to walk back to EPCOT and enjoy the view at night and once again called my darling and spent a few minutes just talking with him and making sure my cats were still alive. I then called Steph and we met up on the England/France bridge to chit chat and wait for Illuminations.
This day was amazing, I spent time with a lovely young lady and see Disney through her eyes, we shared great companionship and even better food LOL! And to top it off we ended the night watching a great nighttime show in Illuminations. On the way out as we walked I thanked Steph for a great day and we made plans to meet up again on Monday at DHS. It was another great day at Disney.

You DID hit the character jackpot! Logan, unfortunately, was not into the characters on our trip. He let me stop and wait for Baloo and King Louie, because I insisted, and waited in line with me for Mickey.(that was some line!)Again...I insisted. Then, in China we did get to meet Mulan and Mushu simply because they had no line.
I'm soo glad Nobby was all about the characters!

Hon, I'm so behind on your thread. I'm going to start with the chapter with lunch at the Brown Derby, and then work my way through!

First off, I love the coconut shrimp. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And the Brown Derby is such a wonderful place to eat, it sounds like you really enjoyed the atmosphere. I never really talk about it, but I love it too.

Congrats on surviving ToT! I've been on it, but I'm not brave enough to try it now with all the random drops. :scared1:

And holey moley, look at all those characters! I can't believe you witnessed the almost proposal. Amazing! He finally popped the question! How sweet of you to donate a ring, too. :goodvibes

Now, was I reading correcly, those characters were all where the animation tour ends?

Wow, woman! You are far braver than I am! The orange side of Mission Space! I won't even set foot in it. To my credit though, I know for a fact even the green side would make me sick. I have claustrophobia, and I know that enclosed space would be panic attack worthy.

So I enjoy living vicariously through you!

Yes Ma'am...especially near closing time is when we saw all those characters so I would suggest heading over there around 30 minutes before the park closes!!!

Chapter 17: “No Nobby, the Animals here don’t Eat Gnomes!”

Day 4 our trip revealed a gorgeous Sunday morning and Nobby and I got up bright and early to head over to rope drop at the Animal Kingdom. Being a Biology and Zoology teacher I have a special love for animals so I was really looking forward to this day. Nobby and I made it through security without too many weird looks and it was off to the turnstiles. Okay, so raise your hand if you seem to have this problem too…it would seem that it doesn’t matter which turnstile I choose I will inevitably be behind the one that will not work LOL…either way soon they were letting us in and it was off with the masses in search of the beloved Fast pass, but not before the morning opening show. I have to say I really like Animal Kingdom’s opening show, not as good as Magic Kingdom’s but it ranks up high…Mickey in his safari gear that is just priceless and we all know I love me some Goofy. Here are a few shots I was able to get over the heads of those ahead of me LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1156.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1167.jpg

Then began the march to the Kilimanjaro Safari, of course only half of us when this way the rest headed towards EE. However I had a date with the single rider line so I was going to secure my FP for the Safari first! So once the FP were in my hand I decided to take my time and walk over to the other side of the park. As I was walking towards Asia I spotted a few friendly characters that I wanted to meet. King Louie has to be one of the most adorable characters ever along with Baloo from the Jungle book. Of the pictures taken of us together I have to say my favorite was this one of me and King Louie…isn’t he a dreamboat LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image158.jpg

Shortly after that I continued my trek over to Asia, stopping to take a few photos along the way. I have to tell you this morning in AK was just amazing and there were hardly any people in the morning (it wouldn’t stay that way of course LOL). Here are a few of my favorite photos from my trip to Asia.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1192.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1205.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1212.jpg

After taking a few minutes to admire EE I was off to ride Dinosaur! I really do enjoy this ride, the whole science feel to it, the going back in time, must be a thing with me because I love Ellen’s Universe of Energy for the same reason.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1232.jpg

Dinosaur was great fun!! After Dinosaur I looked at the clock and realized it was very near Finding Nemo time. Now when I was making plans I wasn’t sure which show I wanted to see Finding Nemo or FOTLK, however since I was close by and there wasn’t a line out the door I figured you know what let’s go see Finding Nemo.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1222.jpg

After checking with Nobby who agreed this would be a fun show to go we were on our way into the theater. The theatre itself is amazing and just beautifully decorated for the show.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1245.jpg

Nobby and I got ourselves settled in some great seats up on the incline first couple of rows. Nobby insisted on having his own seat so I obliged him.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1248.jpg

The show was amazing. The music was great, the puppeteers were fantastic, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and enjoyed every single minute.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1256.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1267.jpg

After the show was over Nobby and I were ready for some adventure so over to EE we went.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1216.jpg

By then the single rider line was open and it was a very short wait until we on our way.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1276.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1275.jpg

EE was freaking awesome!!! I loved it, I ended up sitting next to a dad whose family was in the seat ahead of us. He asked if I was a screamer and I said probably LOL, and he replied good so am I LOL! It was a great ride and I couldn’t wait to do it again!! Once off the ride I looked at my watch and saw it was getting close to my ADR time at Yak and Yeti but I would probably have just enough time to go do the safari. The FP window was up and they were burning a hole in my pocket. On the way back to Africa (where I noticed the park was definitely getting busier) I noticed a lot of people standing off to the side and just staring…I couldn’t figure out why at first…but then I saw this..

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1283.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1281.jpg

Isn’t she simply stunning!! I just stood there and watched her for awhile completely mesmerized. After awhile though I figured I’d better give someone else a chance to see so I kept marching along to Africa. Along the way Nobby and I spotted a photopass photographer so we stopped to get our shot taken. I really like this photo too and as you can see it must have warmed up because I finally took the hoodie off WOOT!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image165.jpg

Finally after no more stops we made it to the safari!! Well what a ride it was, after backfiring (well at least that is what I thought it was, but boy was it a loud sound) and having another CM come down to make sure our vehicle was okay…our poor driver he seemed very nervous about all of this LOL!! We were off on the safari…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1291.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1299.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1331.jpg

The Safari was AMAZING…I got some really great shots and Nobby and I were able to see a lot of different animals we really liked this tour.
Now it was time for lunch LOL

Nobby and I booked it off of Kilimanjaro Safari and quickly made our way through the crowds to our lunch destination. Nobby and I were going to be dining at…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1199.jpg

Upon entering I immediately was intrigued by the décor of this restaurant. They really did go all out and there was nowhere in the restaurant where anything repeated itself. I also made sure to take a beautiful light fixture picture for you know who LOL

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1343.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1340.jpg

I was quickly taken upstairs and given a window view seat, it was an amazing place to be seated. I was very happy with the view from my table. Nobby and I’s server of the day was Jeff and he was quite nice and made sure to say hello to Nobby. He left me the menu and quickly went off to fill my drink order. Upon his return I asked him if he had any recommendations for an appetizer and he suggested the pot stickers so that is what I ordered.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1357.jpg

They were yummy!! I would gladly get these again. For my main entrée I decided to go with the Honey Chicken and white rice.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1361.jpg

Once again this was really really good. The chicken was tender and there was just enough sauce to mix it together with the rice. The vegetables weren’t overdone and were also tender! Really enjoyed this meal.

Now dessert, that was the easy part. You see I had chosen this restaurant based on the dessert menu alone and I will return to this restaurant at some point for this dessert because yes people it is that good. So what did I get you must be wondering…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1366.jpg

The Fried Won-Tons!! Oh my goodness does this dessert make your taste buds dance. The Honey glaze is sweet but doesn’t over compensate the cream cheese filled wontons and to top it off they have delectable pieces of pineapple which just give it that “tang” you like in your dessert and if it couldn’t get any better they gave me ice cream with it. Oh yes I will have this dessert again, it will be mine LOL!

Once lunch was over I decided to visit the ladies room…now I must throw a disclaimer in here…I don’t normally take pictures in the bathroom, actually I never ever take pictures in the bathroom except for maybe once in my life (on this trip) and I will never do it again…but this light fixture was screaming for me to take the picture…and because we all know I love LL I took it and quickly hid and walked out before anyone could get a good look at my face. So for you LL…the infamous bathroom light fixture in the ladies room of Yak and Yeti.

Well I was full and decided I needed to walk off some of those calories before heading back to the resort for a nap before my big evening at Magic Kingdom (I had a midnight date with HM would I make it LOL). So I decided to walk on a trail I have never done before

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1373.jpg

This trail was so pretty and I really just took my time looking at the bats, the tigers, and just the scenery around me.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1428.jpg

After walking the trail I knew it was time to make my way out and try to get a nap in. I had one last stop and that was the Tree of Life Garden. I wanted to get some photos of that beautiful tree before I left.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image173.jpg

Then it was time to say goodbye to Animal Kingdom. As I was heading up to my car I looked up in the sky and saw this…

Oh yes it had been a great morning, I totally agreed with that plane drawer!

Well after about a 3 hour nap it was time to head to dinner. That evening Nobby and I would be dining at the Poly at Ohana’s. I decided to park at TTC and just walk over to the Poly. It was a beautiful walk and the resort grounds are just gorgeous. Soon I was entering the resort and heading up to the restaurant.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1474.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1477.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1479.jpg

I didn’t have much of a wait at all and I was seated in the middle of the room close to the where the meat was being cooked, oh did it smell delicious.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1489.jpg

So I’m going to give you a warning about Ohana if you are ever to go alone, it is a TON of food, there was no way I was going to be able to eat it all and I didn’t even bother trying, this was one time there was not going to be a clean plate LOL!

My server for the evening was Cousin Sumo and he was wonderful and really kept the food coming. The meal began with him bringing me that wonderful bread, followed by pot stickers, chicken wings, and a wonderful salad. Of all the items brought out at first I really enjoyed the salad the most and would love to get a hold of that dressing to take home with me.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1487.jpg

(Nobby really enjoys meal time it means he can get out of his carrying vehicle for awhile LOL)

Following the beginning courses came the main part of the meal the meat!! Which was all very good. The shrimp were a bit spicy for me so I only had those once but my favorite of the night was definitely the turkey, it was super moist and tender and just amazing! Along with the meet came some broccoli and some noodles, by then I think Cousin Sumo was running out of room on my table to fit things LOL .

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1499.jpg

So not that I had much room at left at all but I was here once again for a most delicious dessert that I had heard wonders about and it did not fail.
The last course brought out to me was the Banana Bread Pudding and I really enjoyed it!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1517.jpg

Well I could barely walk, but I had a date at the Magic Kingdom. I was heading to find a great spot to find Wishes and then watch Spectro and since there were EMH that evening I was going to ride Haunted Mansion at midnight.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1527.jpg

Isn’t the castle just gorgeous at night?

The one thing I really enjoyed about being solo was that I could just get myself a spot for Wishes early and just stay there and people watch and just enjoy my surroundings. So that is what I did, I did make a few phone calls back home and just chat with people but the hour I waited was well worth it because I had an amazing view of Wishes. I didn’t even bother with pictures because this was one of those moments that I wanted to just experience it was my first Wishes and I just wanted to soak it all in and it was well worth it. I was at the corner of the Adventure Land and Main Street right near the hub with an unobstructed view of the castle and I was in awe.

After Wishes I decided to go find my spot for Spectro. After doing some reading I decided against watching it in the hub instead I headed to Frontierland and found myself a very nice bench in front of the Frontierland Arcade. A very nice family came and joined me and we had a great time chatting and getting to know each other, the time passed very quickly and soon enough Spectro was starting. This was another first for me, I had never done any of the nighttime shows at Magic Kingdom. Well, I fell in love Spectro is now my most favorite nighttime show and I will never go to Disney again and not see it! Here are a few of the pictures that I thought came out the best.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1560.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1563.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1571.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1576.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1589.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1661.jpg

After Spectro I had some time to explore so I went and rode Peter Pan and did some shopping. I also took another picture of the Castle that I really like.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1668.jpg

I then headed back to Liberty Square because I had a very special goal to accomplish. I was going to ride the Haunted Mansion at midnight.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1688.jpg

Awww…I was so bummed this was being refurbished while I was there…oh well in the near future I will be able to see this show. Doesn’t this building just sparkle in the dark, its gorgeous!

Finally 11:50 and I was in line at the Haunted Mansion. I was a bit nervous I was going to be too early and not be on the ride, but I walked really really slow through the line. I even stalled in the stretching room so I could hear the gargoyles talk to me, it was great. Finally at 11:56 I was getting on my doombuggy and sure enough (I have the cell phone picture to proof it)

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1699.jpg

I was on the Haunted Mansion at 12:00am WOOT!!!! However the magic for me would only be beginning. As I was getting ready to get off one of the butlers asked me why I seemed so happy and I told him that I had just made a magical dream come true by being in the ride at midnight. Well he deemed that celebration worthy and told me to stay seated I was getting another free ride WHOOHOOO!!!! So I made sure to make the most of coming around and waving to the people who were getting on and the looks on their faces was priceless I’m sure many of them were wondering where in the world I am come from. I have to say I may have enjoyed that ride the most out of all of them. I made sure to give my sincerest thanks to that CM as I left.
After that I was tired and ready to head back to my hotel to get some sleep. I made sure to take a few pictures of Main St. on my way out.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1708.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1709.jpg

It was an amazing, magical day! I was one very happy Disney lover that night when I laid my head down to sleep and headed to dreamland!

I just found your report and have read through it (I find myself with a little extra time on my hands today-I set myself on fire when I was cooking yesterday so I'm home recuperating with 1st and 2nd degree burns and some interesting meds that render me useless for anything very productive-WATCH THOSE LOOSE SHIRTS NEAR THE FLAMES!!!) anyhow...

your trippie is really makie my day...:lmao:

I love all your photos of Nobby-he is quite photogenic-the camera loves him-have you ever thought of getting him involved in professional modeling?-Does he have an agent?

You are actually a very good writer (despite your early protests that you were a science teacher:teacher:-not a writer-you tell a story very well...:thumbsup2)

I too love the Haunted Mansion but am a mere novice when it comes to the knowledge you have gathered-sadly it freaks my ds out for now-although he'll ride any coaster he can get on...but my dd loves it too...

Love your day at Animal Kingdom and we have ressies for Yak and Yeti in August-sounds great...

More trippie for the sickie:sick:please...

Your pictures are always soooooo amazing! I feel like I'm there with you and Nobby! I'm glad none of the animals got their paws on him (or you of course!);):)

Me too...Nobby was quite sure that some sort of animal would eat him, but I told him the Lions and Tigers would have already been fed that morning.

Wowsers! MAJOR update-and such a great one!

I cannot even remember all the things I wanted to comment on. The picture of you and King Louie is so freakin' cute. Really, really adorable. And I too LOVE your shirt! The one of you and Nobby is a great one too!

Ohana. Drool. Nuff said.

And I loved picturing you coming back around with all the empty Doom Buggies - I bet everyone in line was so confused! I'm so happy to read your dream came true! :thumbsup2

I don't know if I realized/remembered that this was your first Wishes/Spectro experience...Isn't it amazing??? I love me some Spectro! I think I might steer our family in September to Frontierland for Spectro - we've only watched from the Hub, once right on Main Street and once in a really bad spot. I don't even think I realized it went through Frontierland! :rotfl:

I had a front row seat for Frontierland and Spectro and it was great even characters came by and said hi! It was really magical and part of the reason I fell in love with the parade!!!

Awww thanks I really like that shirt too and it will definitely be going back with me in September!!

Jen,

I finally got back to look at your pictures from your last update and they are freak'n great. Your skill is really good and so is your camera. I am so jealous. I want to take pictures like that! I keep telling DH that we need to upgrade our camera and I need a photography class. I can't believe how much food they gave you at Ohana. Did they seriously think Nobby was going to help you finish it off? :rotfl:

Chapter 18: Keys to the Kingdom, Relaxation in Style, and a DIS Meet to Boot!

When planning my trip Monday was one of the days I was looking the most forward too. It was going to be a full day but a most wonderful day at that. The morning began pretty early with Nobby and I getting ready and heading to Magic Kingdom to check in for our Keys to the Kingdom tour. This is one of the things I was most looking forward to on this trip. I’m a huge Disney history fan and love learning little tidbits about Disney and I was hoping I would learn a lot about Disney on this tour. Nobby and I quickly drove over to TTC and hopped on the Monorail and had a bit of a hold up at the turnstiles (of course LOL). For some reason they kept sending me back and forth to get in, one person said I couldn’t go in the character breakfast entrance, the other person would send me back, finally I was able to go in and check in.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1713.jpg

Nobby patiently waited while I went in and checked us in and got our name tags and hearing device, I made sure to grab a cold bottle of water while I was at it. I have to say I love that they give you hearing devices, not only does this mean I can hear everything, but then your tour guide doesn’t have to yell and that is a good thing because there are some parts of the “magic” that are not meant for little ears to hear. Our tour guide this morning was Matthew.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1718.jpg

Boy was Matthew a hoot, he was HILARIOUS!! He had such a great sense of humor and had me laughing the entire time. He was also extremely knowledgeable and knew tons of things about Disney. I was greatly impressed with his knowledge. Now I’m not going to give away any of the tour because well it’s a great tour and I would suggest if you are interested that you go on it yourself, it is well worth it, trust me!!! However a couple of the really cool things we were able to do was go backstage and see some cool things back there. We rode on the Jungle Cruise and got some really cool things pointed out to us.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1723.jpg

We went in the back entrance of the Haunted Mansion which just added to my dream come true and boy was I giddy with excitement. Matthew who must have sensed the “I love HM so much you could leave me here forever “ vibe coming off of me picked me to touch a few things in the back entrance…suffice to say I was totally on cloud nine LOL! Then it was time to lunch. As part of the tour lunch is provided at the Columbia Harbor House, they rope off a very nice section upstairs and your order is ready for you when you arrive (You preorder that morning when you check in).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1727.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1732.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1733.jpg

For lunch I had chosen the Fish and Chicken basket!! It was so good.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1728.jpg

Because I was a single traveler I was able to sit at the table with Matthew and ask a lot of questions. It was a great time and I really enjoyed being able to pick his brain.

Shortly after lunch our tour was over and I was off on my own to explore. I was still a bit hungry so I decided it was time to try the one snack raved over on the DIS boards. The DOLE WHIP!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1736.jpg

Now don’t stone me or ostracize me but this was a bit too much for me! I really enjoyed it but it was very sweet and very pineapply. I think I would have been happy with just the pineapple ice cream, but with the juice I just couldn’t finish it all. Next time I will stick with just the ice cream!

By this time I figured I would head over to the Grand Floridian and leisurely explore the grounds and get ready for my date at the spa. You see as part of my dream trip I wanted to go to the Grand Floridian spa for some treatments. What started as just a pedicure turned into a massage and pedicure and I was really looking forward to some relaxation and so were my poor footsies!!! So I headed towards the exit of Magic Kingdom when I saw her.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1738.jpg

DAISY!! I was on a character roll so I knew I had to meet her especially since one of my dear DIS friends (Soleil) was a huge Daisy fan so I wanted to get a few pictures for her!! Daisy is just quite the lady my friends!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1744.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image197.jpg

Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a certain Mouse’s best friend and rushed over to meet him!!! Pluto was quite the charmer; he might have even given Nobby a run for his money. He insisted that I scratch his ears and give him a kiss on the nose and I happily obliged.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1745.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1746.jpg

At this point I knew it was time to head to the Grand Floridian! So I waved goodbye to the Magic Kingdom for the day and headed to the Monorail.

Isn’t she a sight to behold! This resort is just gorgeous and the grounds are just so beautiful. I really enjoyed the few minutes I had to just explore and take it all in!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1755.jpg

I just loved this fountain! I would like to have a mini fountain in my front yard some day! Although for me in January, it was way too cold to swim the pool at the Grand Floridian during this time was being renovated so they were inviting all the guests to head over the Poly and enjoy the pool there.
Inside was even grander and more magnificent!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1763.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1762.jpg

Check out that light fixture!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1764.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1760.jpg

And that is how window displays are done in a deluxe resort!

Well I obviously had no clue where I was going so I made my way over to the front desk and asked for directions to the spa. They pointed me out the front door and told me to follow the path along the beach and I wouldn’t miss it. On my way out I was able to see a bride and her bridal party getting pictures taken. I took a moment to observe, the bride was glowing and I could only imagine what it was like to get married on Disney property, I was very happy for the lucky couple!

The walk to the spa was very relaxing and I simply just took it all in. It had warmed up a bit, but not enough for anyone to be out laying in the sand on the beach LOL! Finally I arrived at the spa.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1766.jpg

And this is where I become a bad DIS trip report writer, because there are no more pictures until dinner time. This was about me relaxing so I put the camera away and did just that. I went inside and boy did it smell heavenly and I changed into one of those cushy bathrobes and then waited to meet my CM for my massage. The massage was exactly what I needed. My masseuse did a great job and I felt like jello afterwards, it definitely was an enjoyable experience. Next was the pedicure and that was also fantastic, it was exactly what my poor feet needed and something I would highly recommend if you ever get the chance. From that day on my feet weren’t even sore! I had my toesies painted a bright red LOL and then it was off to make my early dinner at 1900 Park Fare!

I had chosen this dinner, not for the food but once again for the characters! I had read on the DIS (of course!) how much fun the stepsisters were! Well the food here was okay, wasn’t the best but I did enjoy the options I had chosen.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1769.jpg

Okay this I loved…hmmm Strawberry Soup…it was FANTABULOUS!!!! I would go up later and get some more!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1770.jpg

For dinner I had the prime rib, a tomato and mozzarella salad, mashed potatoes (which were so good), a roll, and a Caesar salad. It was all good and I enjoyed it! However I wasn’t very hungry and there were some people I really wanted to meet. The first guests of the evening were Cinderella and her Prince! They were royally introduced and then they danced, well the romantic in me swooned LOL! It was so sweet! Then they were off to meet their guests for the evening!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1791.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1793.jpg

Both were very friendly and I loved watching the Prince interact with the little girls, it was so cute!!! Then came the comic relief of the evening!! The Evil Stepmother and her Stepdaughters!! THEY WERE A HOOT!! Lady Tremaine was the first to come by and the moment she laid eyes on Nobby she immediately yelled at her girls to come over because they had to see the little “dwarf” who ran away from Snow White LOL! Okay well Nobby was not impressed with being called a “dwarf” so he didn’t want to get his picture taken with Lade Tremaine, so it would just have to be me LOL!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1799.jpg

Drizella however was a whole other story. She knew that Nobby was a gnome and she just adored him! She asked if she could take him home with her, but the look on Nobby’s face showed he didn’t really want to go home with her, so we had to politely decline. However Nobby did enjoy all the wonderful attention and the “kiss” from Drizella (I’m telling you this gnome knows how to get the ladies LOL)

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1801.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1802.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1803.jpg

Drizella was also kind enough to get a picture with me! Well Anastasia she wasn’t too impressed that Nobby had run away from Snow White (I tried to tell her he was a gnome not a dwarf, but she wasn’t listening, because Drizella wasn’t making things better telling her that Nobby liked her better). So she was a little grumpy when we took our picture together LOL.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1804.jpg

After that I was ready to head out…you see this special day wasn’t quite over yet!! I had one last stop to make to meet a very special person. So I headed back to my car and made my way to DTD. I think I was running a bit behind and I was getting nervous. I was hoping this friend and her family would still be there. I quickly parked the car, grabbed Nobby, and then grabbed a couple of gift bags that I had made for her girls. Who was I meeting??? Well I call her Kim (NorthernDisneyGirl)! This was their first night at Disney and I was extremely grateful they had agreed to meet up with me. I knew the girls would be exhausted after their flight but I had wanted to give them their bags as a surprise for their arrival to the most magical place on Earth. Well I headed towards Lego Land where we were going to meet and sure enough watching her girls play with legos was Kim and her hubby Ken! I was so excited!! It was like meeting a long time friend! We were very excited and spent a few minutes chatting and then I was able to meet the girls and give them their gifts!! Kim has assured me they were a big hit!! The girls then showed me some of the purchases they had already made while in DTD. Then we asked Ken if he would be so kind to take some pictures of us so we could remember this moment, he was such a good hubby!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1805.jpg

Kim insisted on getting one with Nobby (I told you a ladies’ man LOL) and then one of just us!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1806.jpg

We then decided as a group to head over to Goofy’s Candy Co. I wanted to get some make your own treats and the girls wanted to get a sweet snack. Along the way the girls and Ken stopped in the fountain to play so Kim and I could just chit chat and we made plans to meet up the next night after their dinner at Chef Mickey’s in Magic Kingdom.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1813.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1812.jpg

We walked into Goofy’s and that smell gets me every single time…it is just plain sinful! Kim and family got their trips and we said our goodbyes, it had been a long day for them and they wanted to go get some rest!! I stayed and waited while my treats were made! Okay I failed here again too guys because we all know I love pretzel rods and the marshmallows and that is what I got but I have no pictures to share I know I know I’m horrible!! After my treats were ready and boxed, I was ready for bed! Nobby and I headed back to the car and back to resort for another night of very happy Disney Dreams.

Great updates!! :yay: So much to comment on!

I've never been to Goofy's Candy Co... will have to check that off the list this fall!

How sweet of you to bring gift bags for Kim's kids. I'm sure they loved them. And how fun to meet DIS'ers you've been "talking" to online!

The spa sounds glorious. I can't wait for a pedicure in September (or is it technically Oct?) Either way, can't wait.

I am jealous of that bride you saw too. I think Disney weddings are just that much more magical!

I think it is beautiful but for whatever reason, GF just isn't high on my list of places to stay. :confused3

You didn't like the Dole Whip? :scared1: Just kidding. To each his own. Here's a tip - add rum. ;)

Keys to the Kingdom - I have been debating whether or not to add a tour to my itinerary for this next trip. Now you have me thinking harder about it. I'm sure I'd love it. And how perfect that you were the one selected to "touch things" in the Haunted Mansion!

OMG, Jen, I'm in update heaven!

First of all, this day was AWESOME!!!! You seriously know how to solo travel. And you know what I love about your report? You're so happy! You're really enjoying yourself, whether it's trying new things, or old favorites, and it's just a pleasure to read.

I don't even know where to start. I'm glad you wrote about the tour. I've thought of doing it but never had. Something to consider.

I've always wanted to try CHH, so I'm glad to hear you liked your lunch there. And don't feel bad about the Dole Whip float. It's definitely an acquired taste. I know my mom looks both, but if she's feeling like something less sweet, she'll just get the ice cream, and not the float, so I could totally see that. For me, I find the pineapple juice to be so refreshing on a hot day (and if it wasn't hot then, it wouldn't have had the same effect, you know?).

Glad you snuck in some characters on your way out! And oh, heaven! I love the pictures of the GF! It's my mothership. Did you know that? It calls to me. :cloud9:

I love the spa, too...again, something I haven't done in years. Maybe I should get a brochure...hmm... :scratchin

Glad you had a nice dinner at 1900 Park Fare! And lots of fun with those stepsisters, huh? I love it when the characters are so interactive. :thumbsup2

Jen,

what a perfectly wonderful day...:cloud9:

I did the family magic tour with my [I]family[I] :rotfl:and it was awesome-I'd love to try to Keys tour sometime...

Not to get personal but I have a question about Noddy. Is he your typical garden gnome-not that there is anything typical about him-his star power shine through but he seems a little more vertically challenged than the gnomes I've seen in gardens-Is he a smaller kind of garden gnome? (It seems like it would be difficult to carry him around if he were traditionally sized...)

sigh...I wish I had a Noddy...I wonder if he has any family members seeking adoption...:confused3

The food was okay at 1900 but the interaction with the characters was great...you can't beat it!

Wow, another great day!!! I've always wanted to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour but never can seem to find the time to do it. I will make it happen one day though, you'll see!!! I'm glad you were able to get in some "You" time at the GF. Great pictures, too!! I got married at the Wedding Pavillion and the pohotographer took some fantastic pictures from that staircase at the GF :goodvibes

Never been to Goofy's Candy. Does it smell like chocolate in there? DH will flip out as he's deathly allergic to it :sad2:

Yes when you walk into Goofy's it does smell like chocolate, the smell alone will make you gain 5 lbs!!! I really enjoyed my "me" time at the GF and look forward to visiting that spa again some time!!!

Lovely!
1900 Park Fare was one of my favorites from our trip as well.
I actually need to update my TR...I was hoping to get it done before I left on our next trip, but alas I am too slow.

Becca!!! Yes you do need to update!! However I know right now you are on your trip so I shall forgive you!!!!!!

what a great day you had! I'm jealous! I too loved being a single person on the KTTK tour so I got to sit with the guide! You just get a little more out of it which is cool! And it sounds like you had a great time at the spa and dinner too! I love the stepsisters! And so great you got to meet another disser! What a fab day! :)

What a great day! Talk about relaxing. :goodvibes The KTTK tour sounds amazing. Maybe one day... A massage sounds heavenly right now. I bet having one at the GF was even better than a normal massage! How wonderful. I've never been to Goofy's Candy Co. but it's in the plans for our first day in Sept! Can't wait!! :woohoo: Great, great update! :thumbsup2

What a perfect day!

GREAT planning!

Aww thanks!! I really enjoyed this day!!!
aawesome update!! What a great day. Pedi and massage after KTTK was a stroke of brillience! I should have done that... I could have used it;)

C and LL and others.... yes KTTK should be mandatory for DISers like us!! Tatally worth it! And C there are 3 times... so you don't HAVE to get up at the crack of dawn:rolleyes1

The stepsisters are a hoot! I love that Anastasia had a thing for Nobby
I agree though... the food there was blah. Breakfast there was AMAZING though:thumbsup2

yay for DIS meets!! I need a spreadsheet to figure out who all we will get to meet in Sept... but I can't wait to meet everyone!!:yay:

Paula

I know the list keeps getting longer and longer of who we will be meeting and when LOL!!!

The stepsisters were just a hoot and I really enjoyed the interaction with Nobby!!

KTTK tour is fabulous I would highly recommend it!!

What another great update! I am so happy you have this TR rolling again. I think you day sounds fantastic. KTTK tour, characters, GF, a spa treatment, 1900 Park Fare, and a Dis meet! Way to fill up a day.

DH and I are eating at Narcoosee's in September and I am so looking forward to exploring the GF. It is one resort that I have never set foot in. Of course, I may never want to leave again!

Oh it was a beautiful resort!! I loved it...so elegant!! I don't think I will ever have the opportunity to stay there but I will always love to visit there LOL!!!

Glad you had a nice dinner at 1900 Park Fare! And lots of fun with those stepsisters, huh? I love it when the characters are so interactive. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much!! I really enjoyed this day a lot and this trip a lot!! There was a lot to be happy about!!! I really like to look at life with a glass half full attitude!!!!!

The spa was amazing if you find some time you should definitely go...well worth it!!!

Oh yes, Daisy is quite the lady. That's why I love her! She also wears pink shoes, which makes her my favorite 'fur' girl.

I went and had a pedi with my girlfriends today. It certainly wasn't the Grand Floridian, but it was still so nice.

You and Kim are so precious! Wish I could have been there, too.

I wish you could have been there too!! I really can't wait for the day I get to meet you!!

Daisy does have fabulous shoes doesn't she!!

I have decided to get a pedicure before I go and while I go...going to treat my feet right LOL

Jen, what a great update to enjoy during my Friday night DIS time! The Keys to the Kingdom Tour sounds fantastic!!! One day I would love to do it! Then, you had a relaxing day at the spa, followed by dinner at the Grand Floridian, and then a DIS meet! You just didn't stop! :thumbsup2

I didn't stop! This day was so jammed back it was great!! The best part I never felt rushed until the end when I thought I might be late to meet up with Kim!! Other than that it was a great day!!

Jen, your updates are a hoot. Let Nobby know I'll be a member of his fan club should he ever decide to form one, and thanks for making me laugh!

Nobby says I need to get on making membership cards LOL!! He's a great gnome and would be lucky to have you as a member LOL!!!!

Jen,

what a perfectly wonderful day...:cloud9:

I did the family magic tour with my [I]family[I] and it was awesome-I'd love to try to Keys tour sometime...

Actually Nobby might be related to the travelocity gnome LOL, he is smaller only about 8 inches tall and is quite light...if you go to the travelocity site you might be able to find some of Nobby's relatives around there!!!

what a great day you had! I'm jealous! I too loved being a single person on the KTTK tour so I got to sit with the guide! You just get a little more out of it which is cool! And it sounds like you had a great time at the spa and dinner too! I love the stepsisters! And so great you got to meet another disser! What a fab day! :)

It was an amazing day!!!! Being the single person on the KTTK was so much fun!! I loved getting to know Matthew our tour guide!!

No... I'm not quite on my trip yet. I was hoping to get this TR done before I left on Wednesday, but I don't think it will happen.

YOU LEAVE in 2 DAYS!!! Have a great trip!!!!

The KTTK tour sounds so great. I would really like to do this at some point, I think DH would enjoy it as well. Maybe we could sneak it in during our December trip while we have the In-Laws for built in baby sitters. Hmmmm...

I LOVE that you went to the spa! AHHHH! Another thing I hope to do at Disney someday. Love me a pedi. :lovestruc

Hey Jen, is this thing on hiatus? I know you've been working on the Chat room PTR, but I need to know how this trip ended! I need more Nobby!!
(That sounded somewhat naughty and odd).
Good luck with the new school year by the way. Our kids don't start until the day after Labor Day (State law) and it's SO late this year. I wish they started the week before this year. I'm ready for them to go back! LOL.

Chapter 19: Doing DHS…Hollywood Style (My last full day at Disney)!!!

Okay yes this should have been finished a long time ago and I feel like I have failed as a TR writer for my first TR, somehow I always keep on top of my PTRs and then let the TR go LOL!! Well that is going to change on the next trip, because I’m going to have Paula hounding me to get it done LOL!!! However I am happy that I’m finishing this before I go on my next trip that’s always a good thing LOL!!! So let’s continue where we left off and let me tell you the tale of my last full day at Disney!!

Tuesday morning was my last full day at Disney, Nobby and I were headed back to DHS to meet up once again with Steph and spend the day together. Nobby and I arrived about a half hour before rope drop and we were first in line at our turnstile. One thing I remember about this day was the fact that it was FREEZING, I don’t mean cold, I mean FREEZING. Everywhere you looked CMs were bundled up and most of them had on gloves, so did I LOL!!!! I made a quick call to Steph to find out what time she thought she and her family would be arriving and she told me they were running a bit behind so we made plans to meet up at the TSM Fastpass machines and get FPs for later in the day. Finally the park opened and the mass of people headed straight towards the hat to watch the opening show and then make the “run” for TSM (and I thought Soarin was bad it has nothing on TSM).

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1826.jpg

The opening show was very cute I really enjoyed it. The director and his assistant were quite funny!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1830.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1833.jpg

Then the rope dropped I walked, dodging the mob, attempted to not get ran over on my way over to TSM. I hopped into the FP line got my FP and then went into the Standby line. TSM has to be one of the most amazingly designed queues in all of Disney, and that’s saying a lot considering my love of all things Haunted Mansion, but the Imagineers get three thumbs up on this one. I leisurely walked through the line, taking some photos, you will notice there were not a lot of people in front of me, this made for easy picture taking!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1843.jpg

In my opinion the best light fixture in all of Disney!! I would love to have one of these in my child’s room someday!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1846.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1849.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1855.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1857.jpg

I just loved the interaction with Mr. Potato Head! I could have stood there for a while just conversing with him, however I could hear the people coming behind so it was time to move on and enjoy the ride!! Oh and enjoy the ride I did!!!!! Look I even beat my opponent…LOL

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1871.jpg

I made it my goal when I rode with Steph to do better, because she’s a teenager actually thinking I might beat a teenager at a video game didn’t seem like that good of a goal to make LOL!!!

After TSM I called Steph and she was right outside Pixar Place so she had grabbed her Fast pass and was waiting for me. Nobby and I were excited and hurried to join up!! Of course once again I gave Steph the lead, I wanted to do whatever she wanted to do and like any thrill junkie teen she wanted to ride ToT so off we went. Once again while I love this ride, Nobby gets a bit nervous, so we had to say a quick prayer because Nobby insists the two ways he doesn’t want to meet his demise is on an airplane or on ToT, where does he get these weird thoughts from, silly gnome LOL! The standby line for ToT was only 10 minutes so off we went, and there was no way our short walk was 10 minutes because 2 minutes later we were in the lobby.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1875.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1874.jpg

We all know who I took that picture for!!!

ToT was awesome!! I screamed, Steph didn’t instead she kind of laughed at me but in a Mrs. O you are too cool kind of way!!! Then it was off to RnRC single rider line! The wait here was also very short and soon we were zooming through the streets, going upside down, and turning this way and turning that way!! Another success according to the Steph! Now Steph insisted I choose what we do next and I made a “tamer” choice and said I would like to see the Little Mermaid show!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1877.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1882.jpg

LOVED IT!!!! Steph and I might have sang along at certain parts, we’re not ashamed to admit it!!!

After the show it was getting close to our ADR at 50’s Prime Time Café, so we started to walk that way! Once again I insisted that Steph let me treat her and I had no problem getting her added to my ADR for that day. I was very glad Steph had joined me because I was little worried about dealing with the antics here all by myself so now the waiter/waitress would have someone else to pick on LOL!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1919.jpg

We didn’t have long to wait at all and we were being seated at a very nice table right next to a tv! YAY the clips were one of the main reasons I wanted to try here…I love older tv shows.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1924.jpg

Nobby insisted that he be able to sit with some companions as he was tired of chit chatting with Steph and I and wanted to make new friends so we let him.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1923.jpg

Here is a picture Steph took of me, I really like this picture because it shows how happy I am to be where I am right at that moment!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1926.jpg

Well our Uncle came by and took note that I was on the DxDP and that we would be paying for Steph OOP and then took our drink order! Thanks to the DIS I knew I could get a milkshake so I ordered a chocolate one and then shared some with Steph. It was amazing!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1928.jpg

For my appetizer I had the shrimp cocktail, it was like regular shrimp cocktail nothing special so I didn’t take a picture of it!! It was fresh and yummy and I enjoyed it!!!

For our entrees, Steph ordered the Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, and greens.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1930.jpg

I ordered the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1929.jpg

Everything was really yummy although I did like Steph’s chicken a little better than my meatloaf and the greens looked to die for!!!

For dessert I had the smores and I’m so ashamed to admit I didn’t even think twice I dived right in and it wasn’t until I was licking the last morsels off my fingers that I realized I hadn’t taken a picture. However, trust me on this one people, the smores at 50’s PTC are AMAZING!!!!

While we were dining Uncle had to remind me several times to keep my elbows off the table and insisted that Steph (my younger sister) had much better table manners than me LOL!! Steph’s parents also had lunch here and were a few tables away and came over to say hi and mess with us a bit before they headed back out to the park! 50’s PTC was a lot of fun for us!!! We loved it!!

After lunch Steph, who is a huge Star Wars fan and I mean huge I think she has all the movies memorized like line by line memorized was ready to ride Star Tours. We got delayed a few moments because the Jedi Academy was going on so we watched the little jedis fight off the evil Darth Vader.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1933.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1935.jpg

Then we were off to ride Star Tours!! I do enjoy this ride, but right after eating and all the throwing of me around made me a little uncomfortable but we survived and it was off to play in the gift shop LOL!!! Once again Steph insisted that we take hat pictures LOL

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2090.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2092.jpg

We then tried to pass off Nobby as an Ewok….can you find him???

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2089.jpg

I have to tell you this day at DHS holds some of the funniest memories for me! It was while we were in the Star Tours gift shop (I can’t remember what it is called…something Outfitters right??) that a CM noticed us having a blast with Nobby. He then asked if he could borrow Nobby for a minute, I wasn’t too sure what he meant by borrow, but Nobby seemed all up for an adventure so I handed him over. Well the CM took him over to that place where you can have your photo taken and then digitally placed inside a poster…Holy cow I think Steph and I laughed until we had tears running down our cheeks. Up on the screen was Nobby as an Alliance starfighter pilot and it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Oh I wish I had a picture but the CM said that was a no no and I wasn’t about to break rules and ruin the moment…but I’m going to see if in the fall if P doesn’t mind getting Nobby’s picture taken again and I just might splurge and buy the poster because it was THAT funny.

After that Steph asked if I had seen the Lights, Motor, Action show and I informed her I hadn’t seen it before and she said it was definitely a must do so we headed that way. Along the way we found this…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1983.jpg

Then it was off to the show!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1939.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1947.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1979.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1982.jpg

This was a great show and really exciting!! It can get a bit loud so if you have young children it might scare them, but it was definitely a lot of fun and I wouldn’t hesitate to see it again!!! By this time our Fastpass window had opened so it was back to TSM!!! We had fun in the FP queue and we had even more fun riding the ride. Well did I make my goal of improving my score…

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1985.jpg

(I’m the blue score) YUP YUP!! I sure did, did I beat Steph….LOL like I said I wasn’t beating a teenage girl who loves video games just wasn’t going to happen!!!

After TSM we decided we would like to see Beauty and the Beast however the next showing was a little bit away so we decided to walk through One Man’s Dream!! We had a lot of fun looking at the posters and Walt’s desk and the little prototype models.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1888.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1890.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF1891.jpg

We then stopped to watch the movie…oh I just love me some Julie Andrews!!! It was a great movie and very moving, I can’t wait to see it again!!! Then it was off to Beauty and the Beast!!! Steph and I are both big fans so we really loved this and enjoyed singing along. This is one show they really go all out for!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2028.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2041.jpg

By this time our day was coming to an end…I had another DISmeet with Kim and her family! They had a few rides they wanted to do after their dinner at Chef Mickeys and we were going to ride something together and just chit chat!! So I told Steph to pick one more thing she would like to do…and oh would this choice be good. Steph decided she would like to try and meet Prince Caspian so we headed that way. There was no line so that boded well for our chances since it was near the end of his meet! Nobby a big fan of the movie was excited to meet him too. So we were ushered in…and here comes Magical Disney moment #2 of this day…Prince Caspian meet Nobby!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image216.jpg

Prince Caspian was enthralled with Nobby!! He was like who is this little creature so of course we had to introduce them. Then he asked how we came to have a Guh-nome (yes he said it that way) so I had to tell Nobby’s story. Then Prince Caspian insisted on inspecting Nobby.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2103.jpg

He found Nobby’s special Travelocity sticker on the bottom of his boots and then asked us what is this Travelocity?? So we had to tell him that’s where the gnomes lived and he insisted he had never heard of this before and rode his horse to go from one place to another.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2102.jpg

He was quite inquisitive and informed us that there were no gnomes in Narnia because they do not have the Gn- sound in Narnia however he thought they might have some dwarves!!! Prince Caspian spent a good deal of time with us and took quite a few pictures, the one of us and him is another one that I just love because of the great memories of that meet associated with it! Steph was just beaming and we were laughing and Nobby loved all the attention!! It was a great final choice, way to go Steph!!!

Then we met back up with Steph’s parents and I was off to MK to meet up with Kim!! Kim’s family was a bit delayed coming back from their dinner, but we did run into each other on Main Street and Ken took the girls to ride a couple of rides and Kim and I headed to Fantasyland to ride Nobby’s favorite ride one more time. Kim liked Nobby a lot and was willing to accommodate him!! We enjoyed the ride and the chance to chat, met back up with the rest of her family, said our goodbyes and at that point I was exhausted. I was ready for sleep!! On my way out I stopped to get a few photopass pictures of me and a lit up castle!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/image224.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2112.jpg

Then it was back to POP to rest!! I had an early date with Pooh and the gang at CP and a before park opening MK to explore!!!!

Jen-your photos are stunning...:goodvibes...(do you do a lot of photography/have you taken a class or are you self taught?) Also what camera are you using...Can you tell I have photo-envy?....:lmao:

We had the same experience of the TSM rope drop mayhem-I've never seen anything like it-I agree not for Soarin or any other ride...(It was a teeny bit scary with the kids-DH ran ahead and I tried to actually carry David for part of it-I was nervous he could get run into or separated...:confused3

BUT the ride itself is soo much fun...and as you said amazingly themed...

I didn't get to ToT this time-logistical issues...I so want to especially due to the theming...It's the only ride I'm actually terrified of riding-I'm a little w/Nobby on that...I'm going to work on getting my grove up to ride it next near (hopefully...:rolleyes1)

Great review of Prime Time-makes me want to try it again...I'm glad that Nobby hit it off so well with Prince Caspian-we had fun with him too...except in my case Emily was blushing down to her toes...:flower3:

FAB Update...

Yay! A Jen and Nobby update! :cool1: It's so odd to me to see you all bundled up in sweaters and gloves while in WDW. :rotfl: Nobby did a great job of hiding wth the Ewoks, I almost missed him!

We have a picture of Demetri from the Star Wars shop as a young Jedi and we get a hoot looking at it, they do such a great job. I can only imagine how funny Nobby's picture must have been! :rotfl2: Those are some great pics of the stunt show and the Prince Caspian meet sounded fun!

What a great day at DHS (and at MK for a little bit)!

I agree that the theming of TSM is just too much fun! I always feel like I am reliving my childhood walking through that queue!

ToT and RnRC right after the other? You go, girl! :thumbsup2

My great-grandmother had ceramic pink poodles just like that so I am glad Nobby wanted to make friends with them! :rotfl:

Great job improving your TSM score!!

Nobby sure looks like he was having fun - and how nice that he got to meet some friends his own size! i love that the CMs and characters were getting such a big kick out of Nobby - i would imagine that's one of the highlights of working at Disney, meeting people who do fun things like carry a gnome around. i mean you can only deal with so many rude, obnoxious, (or just plain dumb!) people before even the shine of Disney must wear off after a few dozen shifts, you know? So people like you who bring along a gnome must really make their day :goodvibes

Hey Jen! Your update was fantastic! :thumbsup2 It looks like you, Nobby and Steph had a very, very fun day at DHS! That is so neat that she and her family were there at the same time. Jen -

I had NO idea you updated this trip report and then.....just like magic.....I stumbled upon it.

What an awesome HS day you had with Steph and Nobby. You got to do so much. Wow. Lunch sounded pretty yummy. Did uncle have some fun with Nobby or was Nobby so shy that he hid with his friends?

I think you saw just about every attraction and got to ride TSM twice. Way to go! You pictures of the stunt show are very good. Hmmmmm, might have to make room to see that.

well my contacts are dry and my eyes are tired and no it's not from getting done all the paperwork I REALLY need to get done- it's from catching up on all of your grand adventures with Nobby! Do you realize how hard it is to not LOL while reading your updates! It was worth the risk of waking 5 napping children! :goodvibes

2 things stand out-

1. Thanks for getting that stinking song from Carousel of Progress stuck in my brain. Sorry but it's not one of my faves. I'm more of a Small World fan.:scared1:

2. I have never looked so closely into the details and history of Haunted Mansion. I'm going to have to look into the history and I can't wait to ride it again and pay close attention this time. I think that was my favorite update!

This is a great TR!! I can't believe I read the whole thing in one sitting (I know crazy on a Sat. night none the less:scared1:). My next trip can not get here soon enough (Oct.) so I am living vicariously through TRs. I am going on my 3rd solo trip in Dec., I love going at least once a year on my own and just doing the "I haven't done" or "No one in my family really wants to" shows and rides. I am so glad you had a great time and aren't friends wonderful. They fill in the gaps where our men folk sometimes just don't seem to get "it". My friends and sister trips are some of the best times I've had at Disney. You girls (and Nobby) are going to have a great time! I am anxiously awaiting the wrap up.

PS checking out you PTR

The Final Chapter!!

Well it has finally arrived; yes that’s right folks the very last day of my January very Magical solo trip!!!! I would first like to apologize for this taking so long to finish it just seemed like life would get in the way at times. I would like to make you a promise though, if you decide its worth coming and joining me on my next trip report, it will not take 9 months to finish LOL, Paula will make sure of that!! I am making it my goal to be more prompt with my updates and I am saying this in print so you can hold me accountable LOL!!!!!

So without further ado…our final Disney day, Nobby and I woke up early on this day. IT was a mix of emotions that we felt that morning. I was sad that my very magical and oh so wonderful trip was coming to end, but I was also missing Prince P and felt ready to head home. Well there wasn’t much time to dwell on those thoughts, I had a before park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace to get to. Nobby and I had packed up most of our stuff the night before so after getting ready, we packed up the car and headed over to the Magic Kingdom.

Nobby and I decided to ride the monorail for the last time over to MK and we quickly made our way through security. We then checked in and before we knew it we were walking down a very empty Main Street!! It was glorious! Nobby and I took our time walking towards the castle just enjoying the beauty that is Main Street! Nobby and I even had time to stop and take a couple of photopass pictures before continuing on our way to the Crystal Palace.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2133.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2142.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2143-1.jpg

Check-in was a breeze and soon I was given directions on how to proceed through the buffet by my server and had ordered chocolate milk for Nobby and I to share.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2164.jpg

Following a tip I had received here on the DIS I also made sure to ask for my check and take care of my bill early in the meal. I then headed up to the buffet (I have decided on this trip I’m taking photos of the buffet this time around LOL for my foodie loving DIS readers). I loaded up my plate with typical breakfast fare and made sure to stop and get the puffed French toast which was amazing!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2149.jpg

Nobby and I both really enjoyed the French toast. Shortly after we started to eat the characters came by! I have to give major kudos to the character interactions at the Crystal Palace, they were so much fun to meet! Here are a few photos….

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2151.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2152.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2154.jpg

I think our favorite was Piglet who really took a liking to Nobby. Although Piglet wasn’t too amused with the amount of bacon on my plate and let me know it LOL!!!! Soon our meal had come to an end and it was time for us to head to Fantasyland! I wanted to make sure to ride Peter Pan before the lines there got horrendously long.

Waiting for us at the Fantasyland rope drop was the Fairy Godmother herself. She was as sweet as could be. When the rope dropped I quickly went over and had a photo taken of the two of us.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2187.jpg

Fantasyland was completely empty at this time of the morning.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2190.jpg

And the wait at Peter Pan was non-existent.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2194.jpg

Nobby and I really enjoy the little London scene of the ride, it is our happy moment for the Peter Pan ride! Having crossed off riding Peter Pan for this trip it was time to go wait for rope drop at Toon Town in order to meet some special fairies. On the way we stopped to admire the Mad Tea Party.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2205.jpg

I’m all for watching this ride, but not riding it! I’m not a huge fan of anything that spins in a circle! However I am a huge fan of the dormouse and attempted to get the best shot of him coming out of the teapot as I could.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2214.jpg

Now it was time to head to Pixie Hollow! I being the well informed DISer, knew I had better make sure Nobby and I were in line and ready to go a little before rope drop at Toon Town. So we headed that way to wait for the rope to drop. Well sprinkle some pixie dust on us because Nobby and I were the first people to meet the fairies that day!!!!

Funny enough I never remember any of the fairies being curious about how Nobby and I met LOL!!!! The 3 fairies we were able to meet that day were Iridessa, Tink, and Rosetta. Of the 3, Rosetta was by far my favorite, she was a true southern belle. She reminded me of my dear friend BellaSoliel. I made sure to pass on a very special message to Tinkerbell and then Nobby and I were off to explore the houses of mousse LOL!!!

Our first stop was Mickey’s house!! I just love what he has done to the place. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from our tour of his home.

I’d really love to have a pumpkin like that to be able to set in my front yard during the autumn season!!!

Then it was off to Minnie’s house!! I remember taking a photo of her to-do list!! Right now I’m really wishing that my to-do list looked like hers. The best part of Minnie’s house to me are the plants…they are a hoot!!! Here are some of our favorite photos from Minnie’s house.

After taking the time to explore a little longer Nobby and I decided to hit up Tomorrowland and then grab lunch and head home!!! By this time we were both missing Prince P pretty fiercely…okay maybe not Nobby as much as me LOL!! As we were taking the long route to Tomorrowland out of the corner of our eye we spotted two very wonderful people and Nobby insisted that we stop and say hello!!
http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2300.jpg

The Mad Hatter was such a hoot!! I made sure to tell him my friend Katie said hello!! Well he asked how could she say hello when she wasn’t here! I told him I had just gotten off the phone with her and then he went on to ask a few questions about my cell phone, it was so much fun!!!

Then Nobby being the prim Donna that he is, insisted on Castle shots!!! I think this one is my fave of him and my fave castle picture from this trip.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2306.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2309-1.jpg

We only had two stops to make in Tomorrowland! I had been dying to see the Laugh Floor!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2316.jpg

I know it’s cheesy, but I laugh each time and anything that can make me laugh is worth seeing in my book!! I actually got brave and texted a joke while Nobby and I waited to see the show. We hoped our joke would be chosen, but we’d have to wait and see.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2319.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2320.jpg

The show was great and what made it even better was our joke was chosen!! WOOT!! Would you like to hear it???? Why is Cinderella so horrible at playing soccer???? Because she is always running away from the ball!! LOL!!! I know I laughed too, its okay to admit it; it’s a great joke LOL!!!

After the Laugh Floor, Nobby insisted we ride TTA and I happily obliged! This is a great ride and I can’t wait until I can ride it again this weekend! I’m so glad it’s back up and running WOOT!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2331.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2338.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2350.jpg

By this time it was getting pretty close to lunchtime and Nobby and I wanted to make sure we got a bite to eat before leaving so wouldn’t have to stop on the road so soon on the way home. Nobby and I had a brief discussion and then played rock, paper, scissor (he always wins with the rock…you’d think I would catch on LOL) and headed over to Nobby’s choice of Casey’s. On our way over we saw the most amazing villain of all time in all her glory.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2356.jpg

Someone else I’m hoping to meet in a week’s time LOL!!! If I meet no other villains I want to make sure I meet Maleficent she is the most evil of them all!!

Soon we were at Casey’s!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2387.jpg

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2388.jpg

I had yet to discover the wonderful yumminess that is corn dog nuggets, so I just had the hot dog meal and it was really yummy!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2389.jpg

We sat down and watch some cartoons while we ate!!! Then it was time to head home!!! Nobby and I walked down Main Street for the last time of the trip and made sure to say a special thank you to Walt.

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2418.jpg

Then we waved and said See You Real Soon!!!

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp4/jenjolt/DSCF2419.jpg

There you have it guys!! My most magical and wonderful solo trip…9 months in the making!! I guess I can consider this like my baby LOL!! Paula very nicely put it that I could have had a child in the time it took me to write this trip report!!! I had some great memories of this trip and it completely reinforced all the wonderful things I love about Disney!! Would I go solo again?? In a heartbeat, but I really enjoy going with friends!! For those of you who stayed with me the whole time THANK YOU!! You guys were the best readers and I hope to hear more from you soon!!! I will definitely let you know where you can find more of Nobby and I’s adventures!!!!!

Here's another along those lines for next time:
Why is Cinderella so bad at baseball?
Because she has a pumpkin for a coach!

Thanks for sharing your trip. The nice thing about stretching it out is that we don't have to wait long for the start of the next one :)

Awww it's over, what a great ending.... I hadn't realized your next trip was coming up so soon. Lucky girl.

So seeing how empty fantasyland was, would you recommend dining at Crystal Palace early with two kids under 5? I had thought about it, but was going to do dinner there, but if we can get on a lot of rides that otherwise take so long, I think I would do it in a heartbeat.

I am SHOCKED you did not ride Haunted Mansion on your last day! ;) :scared1:

You met some great characters on your last morning, truly magical!

I really missed not riding TTA in May. It's become a WDW tradition for me.

Awesome Cinderella joke! I'm going to have to tell Marc that when he gets home! :rotfl:

I would definitely go in the morning before park opening...shoot for that 8:05am ressie!! You can pay up front and then head out when you are ready!! There was no one in Fantasyland and I was able to ride the one ride I really had wanted to, but I imagine you could hit up all of Fantasyland in no time that early in the morning!!!

I know it shocked me too, but I just had a very small to do list and I was really missing Prince P and was ready to go home!! I loved my solo time at Disney, I really did, but by the end of 8 days I was ready to see my hubby!!!

I know I missed TTA in May too...I can't wait to ride it on Sunday WOOT!!!!

Yup I love that joke, although I'm thinking I need to send in Katie's this next time and go for 2 out of 2...if not I better start researching some great Disney jokes LOL!!!

:sad2: Waaahhhh! It's over! :sad1: I too am in shock that you did not ride Hm on your last day! ;) Couple of things I noted while reading this last installment -

1. You are going to be SWIMMING in that Gray sweater in January girl! You will have lost more than 30lbs by then! I think you should buy yourself a new one - size Medium this time, NOT Extra Large! :)

2. I am sooo craving puffed French Toast right now! I am soo sad that CP will be closed on our next trip! :sad1:

3. I absolutely adore the pic of you standing in front of the Castle! You look so happy! No wonder it is your "Happy Place"

4. I too avoid the teacups at all costs! NOT a fan of spinning! My kids are trying to talk me into riding in January though! We said that we would all go on a ride we had not ridden last year! I am pulling for something NOT spinny!

Well, my dear, it was a fascinating trip! It was a really huge highlight of MY trip to have been fortunate enough to meet and spend time with you! I will always have fond memories of IASW because I will always remember riding it with you! :) Now get on with your self and get back to your Happy Place! We need more pics of that boy Nobby! ;)

Yes my ritual of buying a jacket will have to continue on this trip...I'm going to need a smaller size!!!

Puffed French toast is amazing...I have to agree I want some right now! YAY!!!

Disney really is my happy place, I'm hoping to get another picture like that and then we can compare! One thing is for sure the smile on my face will be the same!!!

Yes Nobby will have to be featured more in the next TR...we have to see what crazy messes he gets himself into!!

SAY WHAT!?! Crystal Palace is going to be closed in January!?! :scared1:

I love that you texted in a joke to the Laugh Floor, I can never think of anything except "Two men walked into a bar, the thrid one ducked." and I just don't think that one would get picked for some reason. ;) :rotfl: I am 99% certain you Cinderella joke was told during our Laugh Floor just recently! I wonder if they bank some of them for future use, or if someone else texted that one in. I sure wish I could remember who's name it was they gave with it!
