I just wanted to let everyone know that the kids coloring centers in Epcot (some of them. especially Germany and England) have permanent Sharpie markers out for the kids to color with. Or at least they did last Tuesday when I visited.
I found this out the hard way when I let my 2 and 3 year olds color in Germany when I went to buy rain ponchos for us. When I got back, I discoved that my girls accidentally got marker on a shirt, dress, and tights. Then I discovered they were coloring with Permanent Sharpie markers.
I did bring this to the attention to Disney Guest Services. Hopefully, they will replace them with washable markers or better yet, crayons before anyone else has to have their children's outfits ruined. Especially just before pictures with the Princesses.

It's doubtful they will be replaced - the kidcot coloring stations are sponsored by Sharpie.

We had this same experience last year in Canada. Our son's nice polo shirt is now just a play shirt b/c it is covered in purple Sharpie...

Sorry, you left your 2 and 3 year old alone to go buy something? Is the coloring place like a day care? were they okay while you were gone?

My thoughts exactly - who in their right mind gives a Sharpie to small children??? :scared1: Surprisingly, we ended up with only a few "tattoos" before the day ended.

Sharpie is the sponsor for Kidcot......so there are sharpies. We noticed it right away and watched them carefully.

Sponsor or not, that is just silly. They need to tell Sharpie to create kid friendly washables! I will make sure that we do not even go to the stations if it means a run in with permanent markers. Thanks for the heads up. Were they always sponsored by Sharpie because my daughter did the station at Living With the Seas and something else in actual World Showcase 2 years ago and I made sure they were washable markers before I let her touch them in her new Jasmine outfit.

The kids coloring is in the Germany store. Or at least it was while I was there. It was not a "day care", but I kept them occupied for 2 minutes while I went to the counter to purchase some rain ponchos.
And since the markers are the Kids stop coloring center in the Nemo area does not use Sharpies but regular washable markers instead, I never worried about it and took the time to look closely at them.
It was my fault for not paying attention closer. But also Disney's fault for having them out their in the first place. Why sponser with Sharpie for kids coloring centers. Was Crayola not intertested?

:scared1: Oh My Goodness!! Sharpies to a 3 year old??? I won't even let my 20 year old housemates use my sharpies, i have seen way too many 'tattoos' that won't go away for weeks!
Bad decision by Disney, I hope they change these for washables!
