YEY! :cool1:

Yeah it's EuroDisney SCA shares that you need.

As far as I know you can buy them for anyone over the age of 18.

Selftrade seem to send you an emailed certificate which you then send on to the shareholders club (AFAIK)

Probably, unless you can buy them through your bank instead...but that's obviously something you'd have to ask them.

as cap'n says, it is quite easy to buy them, and from memory u have a 'portfolio' on selftrade, and u can print ur receipt from there that says how many shares that u have bought and post that - thats what i did.
make sure u allow 6 wks for the card to come, it does take a while, but it def worth it!!!

am thinking of buying sum more to make up to 20 - espec with the rate being so good lol

I was going to buy some shares as well, however I'm learning I cant buy them through my online broker here in the States. Any idea where I should go?

From the States...

I bought my first 1000 EuroDisney shares (now 10 shares) years ago through either Merill Lynch or Charles Schwab (I don't remember which one I was with at the time of purchases)

But I just recently purchased another 10 shares, to make up 20, through Wachovia Securities.

I hope this helps.

Hello, I am thinking it might be good to have some shares in Disney Paris. I am a total numpty though. Where do I go, any ideas of the cost and what privileges would a shareholder get when booking a trip. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks:artist:

:confused3 Manxtatt how did you get on with the share purchase. I keep looking at the selftrade site and am absolutely stumped. There are French ones, German ones and Canadian ones. Which are the ones to buy. I would have thought the French ones but they don't seem to have the SCA after them, which people on here say are the ones. I am hopeless.

I have been planning to buy shares too (as soon as I pluck up the courage:scared: ) Think I'm going to opt for 20 as they seem quite cheap just now and would pay for itself in couple of years not having to pay the 30E per year membership. Soooo want to go in Salon Mickey!

Thanks guys for the price info - so re above, if I buy 20 I would be entitled to join the shareholder's club with all its benefits/discounts? Sounds too good to be true, think I have missed something????

I am just so exited. We are at home today on a snowday from work and school and I have finally taken the plunge and purchased my shares. I feel great, wearing my Minnie Mouse ears as I did it.

Need now to work out the next step of getting the confirmation and joining the Shareholders Club.

Had to share. Byeeeeeeee:artist:

Hi, that's what I thought when I went back in to buy them, so I telephoned and spoke to a really helpful chap, (the first option of pressing 1 on your phone). I said it looked as if I couldn't buy as I needed to wait for the pack. He said there is a skip button on the website to enable you to buy. I said can I buy today over the telephone and he said yes. I told him the number I wanted and gave me a price and then he asked how much I wanted to debit my card with and it was all done in minutes.

A contract note is forwarded via the email on your account which is all you need to then join the shareholders club, I think.

My problem now is that I can't download the completed form from the Disney shareholders club. Will have to look at that.

The chap at the selftrade even said to me if I ring him back with the shareholders address he would send the confirmation for me. Very helpful lot indeed.

Good luck Manxtatt.

I feel quite an expert (although I know I am far from it ha ha ha ha ha ha)

I had that problem a few weeks back, I just left it 24 hours and it was soon working again.

I seem to be hitting the same problem. Filling in all the details and then being told to wait for paperwork and would need to send bank details etc... Bit nervous about doing this after all its not like I want to be some hot shot trader I just want to go to Salon Mickey:sad:

Hi, it really is easy, after dithering about All in the same day had printed the contract note off from the share people, printed the form from the Disney shareholders site. Signed and poste off next day. Fingers crossed Salon Mickey in October.

Please don't give up Manxtatt, if I can do it, anyone can. You can buy without the paperwork returning. Read my above post.

Love to all.
