The actual dolphin swim...

We've booked DS for September... we're a couple only. Will we get put with another group or will we get a dolphin to ourselves?

As neat as that would be you will most likely end up with 6 other people. Each swim has 4 groups A-D, and each group has up to 8 people. When assigning times they make sure to fill in each swim to the max (unless there is an odd number, then you might have 6-7 people in a group or something like that), it is based on how many guests are in attendance. On a day there are only 250 guests they will cut out the number of swims and condense down to 2 or 3 swims per pool, or close down an entire pool so as to fill each time slot.

When we went we were paired with another family for a group of 8. I still felt as though we had enough time with the dolphin. Each person gets to pet, kiss etc. as well as learn a few commands to give the dolphin in return for a treat. Everyone gets the tow ride. We had a great time and hope to do it again some day.

We went last September and the two of us were paired with two other families. I think there was total 8 people in our group. We all had a wonderful time and everyone got plenty of time with the dolphin. Discovery Cove was awesome and we plan on visiting again one day.

For those of you that went as a couple and were paired with a family... when it came to photos with the dolphin, could you get a shot with just the 2 of you then, or was it a whole group photo?

I haven't been yet, we are going May 3th, but I know from others who went that they take photo's from your own family, not with the others together.

Yeah, the photos will only be you, but the DVD will be of the entire dolphin experience if you are interested in ordering.
