Survivor: Tocantins DIS fantasy league

I dug this out of the old thread. Disneychick74 found a pretty easy to use fantasy league but we had already started. Since it was such a burden, I thought maybe we should look at it this time. See if the time savings will get everyone playing again :)

I signed up for that fantasy league. It looks like the first step it to start a tribe or join one. Aengus are you going to set one up for the DIS? I assume there's a limit to number of people who can be on a tribe. The largest one I see is 36 so there should be room for all of us on one.

I also went to check out the CBS league. It seems to be up and working now. I was able to pick a team. Not that it won't still have problems but that's a lot better than what were seeing last year before the season started.

A few seasons (ok like 8) ago, I used to host Survivor party night and we would bring pot luck for in the theme of the show. ie: where they were located, or what gross food they had to eat or the reward they got.. Tonights dinner will be black spaghetti with Alfredo.. sure to look gross but will taste fine!

For instance, when I read the bios, I was pretty sure I would really like Benjamin, aka "Coach", the Renaissance soccer coach guy. By the end of the episode, I just found him kind of annoying. :confused3

Oh my gosh! LOOOOVED this episode! The beginning with Coach and the music totally cracked me up. Seriously. :rotfl2:

And wow, such drama with all the cross alliances. My head was spinning. Love the drama. Love the unpredictable-ness of the game right now. Who goes with who now? :teeth:

Anybody else disgusted with how they all performed in that immunity challenge? Wow, I have to say most of them appeared to have just given up and jumped off. Lasted maybe a half hour? I watched the same challenge when it was done in Cook Islands, and it lasted well over two hours. Those survivors gave it everything they had. This group was pathetic.

Stephen (my favorite from the beginning) now has THREE alliances to choose from. He's in a great spot, but he's also in a very awkward spot.

Oh I think Tribal Council is going to be great! As of this week, if they had gone to TC, it most likely would have been Brendan leaving. Let's hope with some extra days to think about it, some may turn on Coach. Wouldn't that be GREAT if HE were the first boot after merge? (since he was so excited about Brendan being the first boot... would love the tables to turn on him).

Anyways, speaking of Coach.... production is having a ball with this guy. If you haven't already seen, here's a video clip CBS made "making fun" of Coach. They've included all the classic lines/scenes of him. However, they did miss my favorite - "I told them what to get with my eyes." That REALLY should have been in there. Can't believe they missed it.

Anyhow, great season, everyone! Pete, you ended up with an awesome score!

Was everyone happy with the outcome? I was... I thought the best player won. I was impressed with his gameplay AND his loyalty. Yeah, some of the decisions the group made (blindsiding Taj) weren't very nice, but that's strategy!

An interesting tidbit... Coach and his "polygraph" results... check out this post (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=31875815&postcount=472) on the other Survivor thread. Why am I not surprised... LOL :lmao: Be aware, if you are reading at work or with small children nearby, that link has a somewhat objectionable picture on it.

OK so Stephen really blew it when the time came to talk. JT proved to be much smarter than anyone ever gave him credit for. Overall, I didnt think it was a great season, as I just didnt like the players that much.

Oh and why didnt Jeff point out, there was no doubt that anyone thought Coach didn't believe his own nonsense. That doesn't make it true, it just means he thinks it is!
