View Full Version : Fuel Surcharge for future cruise

While we were on our cruise in Nov, we booked our next cruise for Oct 2010 (figuring we could always move the dates around if we needed to). Well, we were assessed the fuel charge. Since they are appearantly no longer charging the fuel surcharge, can we get this removed from our reservation? anybody no how to do this? We have not transferred this to a TA yet, as I wanted to wait until there was a good TA offer and we knew our cruise date would pretty much be definite. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

try calling dcl direct. it is my understanding that they will give you this back in the form of a on board credit but if you called them you may have luck getting it reversed. can't hurt to try right?
i have been told that the reason this is being given back as a credit is because they may, in the future, have to recharge this and if they do, it would already be on a lot of reservations. they still feel unsure about the cost of fuel.
