Can someone check Amtraks site for me.. I am all set to book the autotrain and I get this message:

We could not match the station code you entered. Please check the departure and/or destination station codes. Thank you.


Both stations codes look fine to me. I just wanted someone else to cheak to make sure its not only me :confused:

You just have to go to www.amtrak.com chose reservations.. than pick autotrain and you can use any date.

Are you entering the codes or are you clicking "list stations"? when I tried it, I clicked the "list stations" and entered codes in each "from" & "to" and it went to a screen listing my time options. So it seems to be working fine for me. Sorry!!

It's not just you. I just tried booking some sample dates and had the same problem. It looks like the system is not recognizing the Lorton, Virginia station (for some reason).

This will be probably be cleared up soon, so I'd give it a few hours and then try again, or just call the reservation in to Amtrak (1-800-USA-RAIL).

Just tried it at 11:30 a.m. May 22. Worked fine.

Lorton code is LOR. Sanford code is SFA.

I am booked for August 18 coming back on the 30th. Can't wait:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It looks like it was just a glitch for 2 days. I was able to order my tickets yesterday.

We are taking the train on our return trip home on Sept 2, Labor Day.
