Subbing to follow along as we are staying at CBR in November. :)

I also have 3 boys, but threw a girl in the middle as well (only she's a total tomboy!)

:welcome:Thanks for coming along. I just went over and read your whole TR from last time. Very good, I love the way you wrote it. So sorry it wasn't exactly the best vacation. That scares me as to what could happen:scared1:. I was going to write this over there but it's not letting post a reply there. I would love to see more pics of the hotel at Cocoa beach and IOA if you still have them loaded. We are doing the beach for a day also and we are contemplating doing IOA for the older two boys as a surprise. Do you think it was worth the extra money and chaos of adding it in with everything else? I am sure the older two would absolutely love it as they are all about super heroes but I don't know if the little one would have anything to do. I would love any input.

I don't really have anything disney to update but wanted to post some new pics of what has been going on here lately like our latest trip to see Jerry, my new car, our disney nights and my new tattoo.

I finally got a new car (well new to me). It was much needed as my van was falling apart. It's a 2001 Dodge Durango and I LOVE it. I have always wanted one but for some reason thought they had only 2 rows of seats and I wanted 3. When I found out they had 3 I was sold.

Next is our first disney night. Starting at 6 weeks out I wrote different things under one of the mickey heads on our countdown. There is one a week to start and then they get more frequent towards the end. It is either a disney movie with popcorn and such or we play disney games together. The boys LOVE this idea. The first disney night was Wall-E and popcorn (unfortunately Jerry was gone on this night).

We went to Tuscola, Il. to be closer to Jerry for a week as I recently posted. We did such things as walk along the creek, visit the Amish towns near by (LOVE their food by the way) and go to the town pool.

I know some people look down on them but I had been wanting a tattoo with my boys' names on it for years now. I just had to wait until we were all done having kids before I did it. It was going to just be and ankle wrap (like a bracelet) but he said those don't flow right with your body so we were going to do it as a vine kind of wrapping around and down my ankle. We then decided to see what it would look like just on the side of my ankle so that nobody's name would be hidden on the inside of my leg. Since it's all in one spot it is bigger than I originally planned but that's ok. There is nothing I am more proud of than my babies and they will always be my babies (whether they like it or not,lol) so I don't mind showing that off.

So sorry to hear about Jerry's job! Fingers crossed here that things work out and soon!!! :hug

To answer some of your questions, I've never driven to the parks before, always take the buses but since my sister is driving this trip, I inquired about it and I'm pretty sure it was an extra cost to park....if you have AAA you can get a discount, but maybe someone else can confirm this?

Mickey mail....if you're flying, you will get a package about 35 days or so in advance and you will get your Magical express vouchers and that sort and then a few days later you will get a hard copy of your reservations, coupons for various things like Planet Hollywood, mini golf, sea racer, that sort, you will also get cute :cutie: luggage tags with the castle on them!! They are the best!!!:cloud9:

We loved US/IOA. The younger ones loved Seuss area and the Woody Woodpecker rollercoaster. The only thing is that there aren't a ton of bigger rides for kids who are too old for the baby stuff but not tall enough for the big roller coasters, but DD7 did just fine (she rode Mummy, Men in Black, Spiderman etc) DS4 loved seeing Spiderman and the smaller rides, but hated Spiderman ride (it's intense) However he LOVED the Jimmy Neutron and Shrek stuff. It was fun because we saw different characters than usual, and since we had already been to Disney once before, it was a nice change. The older boys loves all the thrill rides.

We wouldn't do Cocoa Beach again, just because we didn't like taking that time away from the parks. We always stay where there is a pool, so we can swim there. It was just a long trip for a little ocean, but now my kids can say they've actually seen the ocean!

I keep saying I"m going to get a tattoo, but I'm too chicken :rolleyes1 (never mind i've given birth 4 times!)

Our Mickey Mail came right around 30 days - so you should be getting it VERY soon. It's such a thrill to see and to know your trip is so close.

Love the tattoo! I like tattoos-I have one as well, but NEVER AGAIN it was so painful I was in tears. I have friends though that have several and don't think they are painful at all. And I'm with ya-they will always be our babies! :lovestruc

From what I know you DO have to pay for parking at the parks. But, I think you can leave and come back to that same park (if you take a break), and not have to pay twice. I bet there are discounts out there for various programs too.

Thanks for all of the info about IOA/US. I am not sure if we will be able to add that on to this trip but we will definately get there next time.

We have to do the beach. For us it gives us some relaxing time and we love the beach. We usually do Daytona but have heard the ones on the gulf side have more white sand beaches and pretty water so even though it is a longer drive I am excited to see it. Did you notice if Cocoa beach was more white sand and such?

Yeah, giving birth is pretty mandatory though if you want children. Tattoos hurt but obviously not enough to keep me from getting them,lol.

The boys are loving the disney nights. Tomorrow night I have playing a disney trivia game on the PS2 with them so I am excited for that.

So glad to hear you got your Mickey mail about 30 days out. I will keep my fingers crossed that I get it next week. I told my husband how excited I was that we get mickey mail this time and he just rolled his eyes,lol.

It would be nice if you don't have to pay to park if you are staying at a resort but I am assuming you do and bedgeting for it in case because I keep getting mixed reviews.

Thanks for the comment on my tattoo. Yes they do hurt quite a bit but I guess not enough to make me not get them,lol. I do believe I am done though. 2 is enough for me.

I did some research and checked the Mom's Panel on Disneyworld.com and it said that parking at theme parks for resort guests is free. We've used a car before and you put a parking pass in the front window of your car.

THanks a bunch Jordan! It will be really nice to take any amount possible off the budget with our current situation. That's one less thing to worry about. :thumbsup2 I need to make my way over to your report. I'm sure I am WAY behind.:eek:

Ok, so I am really far behind again on my PTR. This time I blame the fact that I lost my camera cord (so I couldn't load any pics onto my computer) for a good week or so. Needless to say since I am so crazy about taking pics I had a lot of pics to get off my camera. I guess I will just kind of throw all the pics from the last two weeks or so on here and try to explain somewhat and put them in order.

First off, Jerry got laid off while we were still visiting him in Tuscola so he was with us the last two days. On our way home we had to go through Springfield, Il and it just so happened that our state fair was going on there that weekend. We had never been to the state fair so decided we would go check it out. It was very hot today so not that enjoyable but we tried to make the most of it.

Coley was first to go on a ride and Blake was nice enough to go with him (even though he does not like being seen on these 'baby' rides).

we went on several rides and then Cole wanted to go on these cars. We thought we would try him by himself but he just sat there very somber looking at Blake like, aren't you coming?! I was getting ready to ask Blake to go when this lady said her daughter would sit with him if I thought he wouldn't mind. She put her next to Cole and this is how he reacted...

cracks me up. He immediately went from a sad, somber expression to all smiles. The little girl even reached over and put her arm around him halfway through the ride. I couldn't get a good pic of that though.

After this ride we looked at the sky and noticed it didn't look to pretty. It was evident that it was going to rain and soon. We decided to head to one of the buildings so that when it started we would have cover.

Then the skies opened up and it began to rain. We went inside and then heard the announcement they had piping over the whole fairgrounds. They had issued a tornado warning for the area and were telling people all the different buildings they could go to for shelter. It hadn't rained a drop all week and so of course when we go to the fair this happens. Of course I swear this kind of weather follows me because I am terrified of tornados. Luckily the building we had picked had a kid station in it with a toddler play area, clowns, face painting, etc. in the basement.

After hanging out inside for awhile we decided that if we waited for it to quit raining we would possibly miss the whole fair. So, with the threat of bad weather over we ventured out. It was still sprinkling so it was only slightly miserable, lol. (mostly because I had uncomfortable flip flops on and was flopping mud all up my back.)

We saw a petting zoo area. Cole loved all the animals. While walking by one of the goats though he accidentally stepped on one's leg and it butted him in his but with his horn. Luckily it was his diaper covered but and it just startled Cole.

My brother and I, along with Cole, decided to sit and wait on a bench while Jerry and the other two boys went up and down the road checking the stalls to see if there were any horses in them. I thought it was funny because Cole, being a typical boy, found the only little pool of water on the sidewalk and was trying to jump in it. :lmao:It wasn't even big enough for him to really get his toes in it but he was trying.

Thanks on the life update! How I love Disney "stuff" updates!:laughing: The magnetic pirate book looks super fun, and do I spy *gulp* silly string? You are one brave mama!! It would be fun at rest stops, though. My DH said that his mom used to pack squirt guns for the rest stops.

Cute calendar and great job with the invitations!

About a week and a half ago we decided to take advantage of the nice day and Jerry being home and finally take the boys to Mark Twain Cave. It is in Hannibal, Mo. which is about 40 minutes from our house. Our schools used to go there for field trips but don't any longer so since the boys have never been we really wanted to take them.

We have jackets on because it is a natural 50 degrees in the cave at all times. Cole was really cute....Jerry and I took turns holding him on the hour long tour and he just kept pointing and saying, "rock" and "wow" at everything.

The boys really liked the cave and thought it was a neat experience. We will have to go again though because we wanted them to do the pan for your own gemstones thing but it was closed.

We then went to Lover's Leap in Hannibal. It is where they shoot off fireworks in Hannibal on the 4th of July (where we have gone the last couple of years). It is said that two Indians who were forbidden to be together ran off to there and were being followed by the girl indian's dad who was going to kill the boy indian. Instead of live without him they decided to jump together.

Back at home a few days ago Jerry decided to wash my car so Cole thought he should help...he was a mess but so cute trying to help.

I also finally got a seat for the back of my bike so that Coley could ride along with us. I got it at a garage sale for $5! Doesn't really show it in this pic (he was playing bashful) but he loves it and we now go for daily bike rides as a family around the park.

Hey! Thanks for the comments. I can't wait to see the pirate rooms. We are going all out pirate on this trip. The pirate room, the pirate pool, being pirates for MNSSHP, the boys doing the pirates league and the boys are doing the kids pirate cruise from the resort. ARGH!

Thanks on the life update! How I love Disney "stuff" updates!:laughing: The magnetic pirate book looks super fun, and do I spy *gulp* silly string? You are one brave mama!! It would be fun at rest stops, though. My DH said that his mom used to pack squirt guns for the rest stops.

Thanks. Yes, we have enjoyed the end of our summer. The weather here the last week or so has actually been perfect (75) and looks like it will be a bit warmer but still great this long weekend. Wish the warm weather would stay all year.

It is getting VERY close and I am VERY unprepared especially due to the lack of funds around here.

I'm so jealous you get to do the pirate rooms. I asked DD is she wanted to, but she was all about the Nemo room.

I can't wait to see the pirate rooms. With having 3 boys and my husband with me we were bound to due the pirate room. We are all about pirates this trip it seems. The nemo rooms look really cute too though.

Thanks, we try and do outings quite a bit, especially when the weather is nice because that isn't too often around here.

The pirates league is a new thing WDW has. They finally came up with something for the boys. It's like the Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique for the girls except they get made over as pirates. They can choose several different pirate looks and they apply makeup, give them bandanas,secret maps, etc. Then they get to have their photo taken in a special pirate room. I can't wait for my boys to do it.

The cupcakes were pretty good and you sure could've had one. Come over anytime.

I hear ya on the flip flopping. Mine are good at that but luckily they were all for the pirates this time. I convinced them that would be good anyway because we are doing it simple. Jerry and I are dressing up as well. We are all dressing the same. Simple white shirt and black pants with 3/4 leg. Pants and shirt cut jagged on ends and a long strip of red fabric for a belt/sash across our waists. I wanted to dress up but wanted to do something light for the heat and comfy for walking and getting on rides so that's what we decided. We will have bandanas and eye patches as well. I will go check out my pm. Very excited, have never actually met up with a diser at WDW before.

I loved the massive update with all the fun pictures - looks like a great last couple weeks of summer. I can just imagine Cole saying "rock" "wow" over and over - it's exactly what Henry would do as well! The pics of him with his lady friend are ADORABLE!! ;)

I have never met anyone off of Dis before either, but I know that I am not crazy and I don't think that you are crazy :rotfl:so I think that we will okay..had to throw that in on behalf of my husband! I am finally starting to get some stuff done. I have gotten 2 sets of shirts done, miniature character candy bar wrappers, passports printed,etc. I promise to post pics of all that soon. I still need to make one more set of shirts, our simple pirate costumes, autograph books, start packing, etc., etc., etc. :scared1: It's going to be a BUSY week.

We had a great trip this past week, it was very hot, we had no rain, there were no waits (more than like 10 minutes!!), great dinners, it was so much fun. I hope the same for you!! You're going to have so much fun and I can't wait to hear all about it!:goodvibes

Hey girl! Welcome back. Glad to see you made it safely.

So glad to hear you had a great trip. I can't wait to hear about it. I hope we don't get rain but I checked the ten day forecast for there and so far they are saying a 60% chance of thunderstorms for the first couple days :sad2: I'm also a little worried about the heat. I don't want us (mainly the boys) to be miserable.

Jerry still isn't back to work. He did find out that he is supposed to call them as soon as we get back from vacation and they said they will put him to work (fingers crossed) so there is some good news. He does still have his own shop (doing paint and body work on cars) for now. He has two cars he needs to get done and then he is closing it up since he isn't able to work there while on his main job. We need him to get those two cars done in order to be able to go on vacation so he will be gone pretty much all day everyday to get them done. Here's hoping though that they will get done and in less than a week we will be on a much needed vacation.:thumbsup2

Stressed out is how it is around here. We still don't have the money we need. My DH is working double time at body work/painting cars. He has two he is working on and has to get done in order for us to have the money. He thinks he can get it done but will be working up until we leave to get them done. He even said he might have to finish up Saturday before we leave and then we would have to drive straight thru:scared1:No way do I want to do that with a 2 year old. I'm still hoping for the best.

Wow, things are getting crazier and crazier around here. Finishing up shirts, packing, laundry, cleaning house, school work, etc., etc., etc. I finally finished our simple pirate costumes and now just need to make our MK shirts and pressed penny tubes. I'm hoping to post pics of them tonight or tomorrow for sure.

Jerry is working non stop to try and get the 2 cars done that we need the money from in order to go. He said he thinks he should be able to get it done but if worse comes to worse he could finish Saturday and we would have to drive straight thru:scared1::scared1: I don't want to even think about doing that with a 2 year old. Today I have to make our MK shirts and a friend of mine is coming to visit. Tonight we are going to my mom's for supper. Tomorrow I need to go grocery shopping and last minute odds and ends shopping and then get everything ready to load up because I have to load up the car Friday during the day now instead of at night due to my dad calling and wanting us to come for dinner Friday night, the night before we leave:scared1: The only reason I agreed is because it is his bday on Friday. So..... things will only get crazier from here but if all goes well we will be on our way to disney in less than 76 hours!!::cool1::dance3::woohoo:

Poor Jerry is going to be exhausted the first part of the trip. You may want to build in a bit more rest time on the front end of the vacation to allow him to catch up on sleep....

Yeah, it is a crazy feeling to be soooo excited about it getting so close and soooo stressed/freaked out at the same time. I didn't get the pics up tonight but I have to finish the shirts tomorrow and get the pics up cause we only have 2 days left!:scared1:

Good point Jordan. I am thinking he might be more willing to have me share in the driving so he can sleep. He usually likes to do all the driving (men and cars:confused3lol) I am going to try and make him sleep though so we don't have a grouchy Jerry on the trip.

Thanks. I hope you are right. I am still believing that it will. Not sure if he will get much down time or not but he did say tonight that it looks like he will get it finished in time:thumbsup2 So crazy that this is THE week! I am very excited and will be much more at ease when we are actually on the road.

Yep, central Illinois here! Glad to see someone else from the same area. That is always neat. I think we will have a fabulous trip once we are actually on the trip and the stress is behind us. I hope I can get started on it soon after we get back so you can read some before you go.

Just wanted to say that I LOVE my dis family. You guys really know how to make a girl feel more at ease. Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and well wishes for our trip. I am sure we will have a fantastic time once we are actually on the trip and the stress over getting there is over. We've driven straight through twice, once DS was 19 months, the other he was 3 (and we drove to Texas when he was 16 months old) It's not too horrible :) Hopefully you'll get to stop though.

Lol, you crack me up. I am suffering from PDD though. It would be nice just to live in the happiest place on earth and not have the responsibilities of everyday life.:)

EVERYONE~ I'm soooo sorry that I haven't started yet. Thank you so much for being patient. We were immediately back to all the craziness of regular life when we got back. The main reason I haven't started yet is the teenage niece who is living with us has provided nothing but drama for us since we returned. For now we have suspended her car privelages which stinks for us because now we have to add running her back and forth to work and such to our list of things to do....bye bye any free time we might have had. Oh well, I am thinking things will calm down soon and I will have time to start my TR. Thanks again and hopefully I will be back soon.
