ebay log in problem - any ideas?

My ebay log in won't accept the password, even though I'm absolutely sure it's all correct. DD also uses the same ebay account and has tried logging in (in case I was doing something totally bizarre), and she gets the same 'incorrect user name or password' message. We've had the same account name and password for at least two or three years, so it seems unlikely that we would both forget it!

I've tried using the password reminder and that tells me I've been sent an email, but the email never arrives :(

I've tried the 'contact us' link, but that just takes me back to the log in screen :(

I'm reluctant to re-register, as I don't want to lose my feedback score :(

Any suggestions ... or can anyone access a contact number for ebay that they could pass on, please?

It sounds very much like you have had your account hacked, you need to get it sorted before someone uses your account. Have you tried a search on your ebay name to see if it is selling anything?

It sounds like someone has hacked in and then changed the e-mail address and password. Hope you get it sorted.

Hilary i hope you get this sorted.
There could be a few reasons behind it,but unfortunatley with my neighbour she had exactly the same trouble you are speaking of+someone had hacked into her account+changed all the details+gained access to her Paypal account.She lost aprox £123,which they used and had the goods delivered to a different address.x.

I've checked both my ebay name and my PayPal account (which I'm pleased to say I can still access!) and neither of them have any unexpected activity so, hopefully, this is just a glitch rather than anything malicious.

I have emailed to the address Natalie gave, so will wait and see ...

Might be a good idea to change your paypal password just in case. Good luck!
