View Full Version : Is there a "typical" dining rotation for families with small kids?

My friend and I are taking her 3 kids and my 3 kids on a 3 nighter next month. Yes, 6 kids under age 10!! Since we booked late, she and I could only get Palo on the first night. We currently have late seating anyway and the only restaurant we were planning to take the kids to is Animators Palate. We've all cruised DCL multiple times. I thought I remembered learning from this board that families with small kids typically get a certain rotation. Does anyone know? We need to decide if we are going to try to change our Palo ressie.

That used to be the case but DCL stopped doing that a couple years ago. It will probable be easier to change to a different rotation once you board with second seating since that is usually not full. There isn't as much flexibility with early dining. That way you can keep your Palo resie and make sure you don't miss the AP show with the kids. :)

Thanks for the info. I did not know you could change your dinner rotation. We are in the 2nd dinner seating and we do not want to miss AP either. We have a 6pm Palo ressie. There are still plenty of Palo ressies open. I was trying to decide if there would be a better time to go to Palo than Nassau night on a 3 night cruise. Any suggestions?

Sorry, we have only been on 7 day or longer. I honestly do not know if I would go to Palo on a 3 or 4 day. There is too much going on in the dining rooms.
