thinking of buying a resale from gmac has anybody else from the uk done this ?
how did it go were there any probs
how long did it take
how did you pay

Pebbles can't comment on GMAC but we are in the process of buying a resale thru' the Timeshare Store,we are waiting on Disney & ROFR. We organised paying thru' our UK bank by wire transfer -very easy-we had to pay 10% deposit & fingers crossed if we get thru ROFR we will transfer the bulk by the same means.We were given the option of transferring the money in £'s but the charges from the US holding bank were more than if we done it all here.

Yes, we have recently completed a resale with GMAC. Have no complaints, they were efficient. Started end of September and completed end of November. We were in the Disney system mid-December. They require a small deposit and the rest on completion. They were quite flexible with their payment requirements and accepted credit cards (up to a certain amount) or bank transfer which is what we used, the bank charged a small fee. That way we got exchange rate about .10c above the going rate at the time, so worked out well. Any more questions please ask.

Hi, we bought from GMAC two years ago. It was a smooth process. We paid the deposit by credit card and main payment by bank transfer. We are looking to buy further points from them again.
